Sweets TOKYO Top 100 Stores 83/100 About 5 minutes from Chitose-Karasuyama Station, in a residential area, there is a small shop that looks like a house for little people. As you enter the entrance, there are various baked sweets lined up. In the showcase at the back, there are colorful cakes. You can eat in on the terrace, so when I asked, they kindly made a space inside because it was too hot and sunny outside. I am truly grateful for their consideration. I tried the seasonal eclair @630. The eclair's choux pastry has a firm taste and is refreshing. It was recommended as a seasonal item, and it was delicious. The custard raspberry cream hidden underneath had a wonderful texture and was delicious. I also tried the half-size Fraisier @300. It was a beautiful Fraisier with polka dot patterns. The small strawberries on top were delicious. When you put a fork into the sponge, the syrupy alcohol oozes out. The slightly sweet buttercream, combined with the refreshing strawberries, was just right. The chocolate on the bottom of the sponge was meticulously placed. It was a shop that maintains the tradition of French confectionery with elegance. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Arrived around 2:00 pm on Sunday. I took the wrong road south from the station and walked quite a bit. The way back was simple, but quite far. There were 3 groups of customers ahead of me. I waited for about 8 minutes and bought a bicolor croissant for 300 yen. It was a very stylish bread with cocoa in it, which caught my eye. I sat on a chair in a nearby park and enjoyed eating it leisurely. It was delicious. It would be great if there were such shops nearby. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go again.

This was my second visit to a sweets shop in Sengoku-Uyama in Chitose. The shop was quite large and had a cool, Parisian-style interior. I noticed that there used to be seating for dining in, but this time I opted to enjoy my delicious cake inside the store due to the hot weather. I tried the Escargot Sucré (snail-shaped pastry) for 380 yen, which was recommended by the chef. The croissant dough was rich in butter flavor and had a crunchy texture from the black sugar. It was delicious and I definitely want to come back for more. The cakes in the display case also looked very tempting, so I might consider buying one for my birthday. The staff were friendly and helpful as always, making it a pleasant shopping experience. I also learned that they sell baked goods online through Takashimaya Online Gift and Fujingahō Online Gift.

Located a little over 8 minutes' walk from Chitose-Karasuyama Station, this classic patisserie was selected as one of the "Top 100 Sweets in Tokyo 2023" on Tabelog. I purchased their specialty Gâteau Marjolaine and Savarin. I tried the Gâteau Marjolaine, a layered cake with cream, which had a classic taste. The Savarin was also delicious, with a strong taste of rum soaked in. Money spent: 1,280 yen Rating: 3 points Would like to revisit!

As expected from a well-known shop!! I got off at Keio Line Chitose-Karasuyama Station and walked about 600m to reach the shop. Since it was close to closing time, I bought the last four items and took them home. I enjoyed them at home. Delicious!! As a cheesecake lover, I couldn't resist. It had a gentle taste, not too sweet. The cream puffs were also delicious. I plan to go back again.

After finishing my errands in Tokyo on a weekend afternoon, I decided to buy some dessert on my way back. When I asked Tabelog, they recommended "La Vieille France Main Store" in Senzoku-Ikejiri. This area has a lot of delicious Western confectionery shops. This place is also well-known! I headed there immediately. The store had a sophisticated beige exterior and inside, there were two-tier showcases displaying a variety of delicious cakes and breads, as well as baked goods and jams. Since my wife is in charge of sweets, I left the selection to her. I bought four items: - Fraisier (630 yen): A beautiful cake with a red hue, featuring a firm sponge sandwiched between strawberries and cream. The acidity of the strawberries and the smooth cream complemented each other well. - Strawberry and Passion Fruit Mango Eclair (630 yen): A crispy choux pastry filled with plenty of passion fruit and mango cream. The vibrant red color of the strawberries added a nice touch of acidity. - Chou a la Creme (300 yen): Although small, it was packed with custard cream! The rich custard and crispy choux pastry combination was undeniably delicious. - Escargot Choucure (380 yen): A buttery croissant pastry with a crispy and light texture. The sweetness and richness of the butter made it a delightful treat. All of them were simply delicious desserts, and the prices were reasonable too. It was a satisfying meal.

This place was recommended for using ingredients from Ohm Milk Industry, which is also used in famous sweets like Yuusasage, Ras, and Cantesansu. I had a reservation at Nope in Sengokuuyama, so I decided to visit. They mentioned that you can eat outside at a table, so I ordered a Fraisier. They brought it out with water, and said I could leave the dishes as they were after eating. The cake had a vibrant top and moist bottom, with a deliciously sweet cream. I liked it more than Yuusasage. I also bought some baked goods, which were sweet and just to my liking. The Macadam Epice nuts were perfect for drinking with alcohol, and I bought two - one as a gift.

I visited around 3:00 PM. The atmosphere inside the shop is cute, like the world of Harry Potter. I ordered the most popular strawberry cake and a strawberry cream puff. The strawberry cake had a very moist sponge, almost like wet castella. I loved the strong taste of alcohol in it! Thank you for the meal!

I received it as a souvenir, but the signature cake Frasier was so delicious that my cheeks fell off..... I'm feeling great ✨️ I received: - Signature cake Frasier - Choux a la creme The sponge cake of Frasier was incredibly moist and I was impressed from the first bite. The sweet custard and tangy strawberries go perfectly together ✨️ Anyway, this moist sponge cake is truly unique and unforgettable. Truly a signature cake. Thank you for the feast!

I visited around 6:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday and was able to get in smoothly. I had bought a cake before, but personally found it too sweet. This time, I bought the following items: - Croissant (280 yen): A fluffy croissant with a subtle butter flavor. - Escargot Sucre (Chef's recommendation) (380 yen): A pastry-like dough with a creamy sweetness. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Located a 6-8 minute walk from Chitose-Karasuyama Station, this shop caught my attention for a while and I finally got to visit. Upon entering, I was surprised by how spacious it was. They had a beautiful display of baked goods, various flavored vinegars, cakes, quiches, bread, chocolate sweets, and macarons. This time, I bought the "Trois Chocolat" macaron and some baked goods to take home. The layers of bitter chocolate and white chocolate mousse were delicious. The sweetness was just right, and it had a wonderful classic French pastry taste. I'd like to try a different cake next time. I also want to try their bread. I'm happy to have found such a great shop. #L'Avieille France Main Store #French pastries #Chitose-Karasuyama

I visited La Vieille France the day before their regular closing day, but unfortunately they had run out of gateau. They only had some baked goods, chocolates, and tarts available. The staff mentioned that they don't produce additional items the day before their day off to reduce waste. I ended up buying a brownie for 450 yen, a chocolate ball for 250 yen, and a financier for 300 yen. They were a bit small but quite expensive. However, they were all delicious and the chocolates had a rich flavor that made me want to savor them slowly. Even though I was initially hesitant about buying leftovers, they turned out to be perfectly fine. I had thought that their madeleine using hazelnuts was the best, but I will have to try the financier next time. The staff seemed to really like the madeleine, so I trust their taste.

I really love Trois Chocolat cake. I especially enjoy the macaron and the bottom part of the cake. I felt so happy on the day I could eat half of the whole cake at once, although I did end up with a stomachache. I'm sorry I only have a photo of the cross-section, but I really love this view. ❤️

The cake shop was a calm place with a sophisticated atmosphere in the town. They had a Palmier for 240 yen, a Galette Praline Orange for 420 yen, and a Madeleine Super Yule for 250 yen, all of which were very reasonably priced and delicious. This time, I didn't buy any cakes, but I would like to try them next time.

The interior of the shop was so cute♡ It took me a while to decide because all the sweets, cakes, quiches, and bread looked delicious. I ended up buying a cake, a quiche, and some caramels. The quiche with potatoes and bacon was surprisingly delicious! The potatoes were thinly sliced and had a great texture, it was so tasty. The caramels were also perfect, with just the right softness and melted in my mouth.

Blog "Pet Care": https://pet-restaurant.com/ Pets allowed: No This time, I experienced takeout at "La Vieille France Main Store (LAVIEILLEFRANCE)", located about an 8-minute walk from Chitose-Karasuyama Station on the Keio Line. This renowned restaurant has been selected multiple times as one of the "Top 100 Sweets in Tokyo" on Tabelog. During my visit, only takeout was available and pets were not allowed. The exterior exudes a charming atmosphere reminiscent of France. The opening hours during my visit were from 10:30 to 19:00 (Wednesdays only open from 11:00 to 16:00), with Thursdays being the regular closing day. There were no other customers during my visit, allowing me to leisurely make my selection. The name "La Vieille France" means "Old Nostalgic France" and at this shop founded in Paris in 1843, they offer authentic French pastries such as cakes, macarons, jams, and baked goods learned under the tutelage of the renowned pastry chef Rene Erma Besier. The showcase was filled with cakes, pastries, bread, tarts, assorted chocolates, brownies, and more. I ended up purchasing 4 cakes and a brownie after much contemplation. The first cake was "Gâteau Marjolaine" (¥630 tax included), featuring homemade hazelnut praline mousse and cream sandwiched between almond and hazelnut shu cream. It had a subtle sweetness with a chestnut-like aroma and rich hazelnut flavor. The second cake was "Georges Sand" (¥630 tax included), with layers of almond chocolate sponge and strawberry ganache, topped with strawberry jam and strawberries. The combination of rich almond flavor and sweet-sour taste of strawberries was exquisite, although I personally wished for a bit less chocolate sponge. The third cake was "Trois Chocolats" (¥630 tax included), with milk and bitter chocolate white chocolate mousse layered on sable crumbs, drizzled with bitter chocolate and decorated with macarons. The mildness of milk, bitterness of dark chocolate, and smooth texture of white chocolate mousse were all top-notch. The fourth cake was "Pistachio & Strawberry Millefeuille" (¥660 tax included), featuring crispy baked pastry with layers of strawberry jam, rich pistachio cream, and strawberry cream. The rich flavor of pistachio and the balance of strawberry's acidity and sweetness matched perfectly. The fifth sweet was a "Brownie" (¥450 tax included), with a rich chocolate batter and pecans. This moist and flavorful brownie with a rich chocolate taste and nutty pecans was the best I have ever had, competing for the top spot among all I've tried. As a brownie lover, I was thoroughly satisfied. Thank you for the meal. Payment was accepted in cash or PayPay.

"Kasaiwara Ramen" is a nostalgic town where my friend used to live, and I would visit occasionally. After visiting the restaurant, I decided to take a stroll around the area. I casually searched on Tabelog and found a popular sweets shop nearby, known for their pistachio nuts with salt. Intrigued, I had to check it out! The shop was located in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from the station, with a sophisticated atmosphere. There were only a few customers, so I could leisurely shop. The staff were friendly and attentive, leaving a good impression. I bought some sweets and enjoyed them at home. The "Pistachio Nuts with Salt @ 350 yen" had a great aroma and a moist texture. The nuts were fresh and not dry. The saltiness and richness made it a perfect snack to go with drinks. The "Black Truffle Sablé @ 350 yen" was crumbly and surprisingly salty for a sablé. It felt more like a snack than a sweet. The shop is known not only for cakes but also for baked goods. I also tried the "Custard Cream Sandwich Brioche @ 300 yen". The choux pastry was moist and fluffy. The custard cream was rich but not overly sweet, with a refined sweetness. It was the perfect size for when you crave something sweet. Even though I don't usually eat sweets, I enjoyed it."

I purchased a berry and pistachio eclair that is perfect for spring. It has a cute appearance and tastes sweet and sour, which is delicious. There are many delicious sweets nearby, such as Sas*** and Cat*** Sez***, and if I had the money, I would love to visit every day. I also recommend the jarred items here, aside from cakes and cookies.

"La Vieille France" is run by Chef Narukatsu Kimura. It opened in Chitose-Karasuyama in 2007, and in 2012, a second branch opened in Sengawa. The name "La Vieille France" means "Old Nostalgic France" and pays homage to a patisserie founded in Paris in 1843. Chef Kimura worked as a pastry chef at this establishment and also gained experience at the "Chocolatier Bernachon" in Lyon during his 11 years in France starting from 1989. After returning to Japan, he successfully operated "Chesie" in 1998 and "Patisserie Fure" in Fukuoka in 2001 before opening "La Vieille France." Some of the delicious items on the menu include the Fraisier, Georges Sand, Rhubarb Tart, Madeleine Supérieure, and Maple Financier. The Fraisier is a traditional French strawberry shortcake with a light custard and almond sponge, while the Georges Sand features an almond chocolate sponge with blackcurrant ganache. The Rhubarb Tart is a unique sweet and sour treat with a meringue topping. Madeleine Supérieure and Maple Financier are both rich and flavorful pastries with a dense texture. Chef Kimura's expertise in French pastry shines through in these exquisite desserts, which blend traditional flavors with a touch of Japanese refinement. Enjoyed a delightful dining experience at La Vieille France!

I had a fraisier and a chocolate cake. There are many renowned patisseries in the area of Senzoku-Kuyama, including the excellent Yūsasage. The fraisier has a unique texture with sugar grains in the sponge, and the butter is not overpowering, making it very delicious. The fresh strawberries add a strong flavor to the cake. The chocolate cake is classic yet flawless, and remains delicious until the last bite. It's amazing that such high-quality cakes are available at a reasonable price, providing a little happiness. Thank you for the meal.

Purchased at Nihonbashi Takashimaya. It's a shop in Chitose-Karasuyama, an area I don't usually go to. It's very convenient to be able to buy at a department store. Subre a la pistache for 501 yen. I wanted to give a small gift to a friend I was going to meet the next day, and this size was just right.
