I tried a famous seafood bowl for the first time recently. My partner had been in the mood for a seafood bowl since the night before, so I suggested a few options, but ultimately this restaurant was chosen. We left promptly at 11:30, expecting to be the first customers, but there was already one person ahead of us. Since there were only two of us, we were seated at a table in the back (which was like a semi-private room). The center of the table was divided by an acrylic board, and there were vinyl sheets hanging from above the counter. The restaurant only had the chef at the counter, and a young girl was wandering around the kitchen, but no one came to take our order. After waiting for a while, we finally called out, and the mother of the girl came to take our order. Instead of a seafood bowl, we decided to try the "Kaiho Chirashi" for 1,800 yen from the lunch menu. The Kaiho Chirashi was visually impressive, with a fish head skewered on top. Inside the bento box, there were sections for the chirashi rice, fish collar, medium fatty tuna, white fish, large shrimp, salmon, octopus, sea urchin, salmon roe, and surprisingly horse sashimi. The quality of the shrimp was outstanding, almost resembling botan shrimp. The sea urchin had a slight fishy smell, but tasted delicious when eaten with the vinegared rice. The variety of sushi toppings was larger than expected. The medium fatty tuna seemed slightly semi-frozen, indicating a need for better temperature control. Lastly, the horse sashimi had garlic on top, so it's important to consider the order in which you eat it. The atmosphere in the dimly lit back room was lacking, as was the service, but the quality of the sushi was good, so overall satisfaction remained the same.
