I arrived around 12:30. I had the all-you-can-eat tai meshi, tuna ryukyu, and grilled fish set for 1,280 yen. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos. The meal included dried mackerel, cod roe, fish soup, tai meshi, and thinly sliced yellowfin tuna marinated in sweet soy sauce with sesame, seaweed, Mitsuba, and probably bee tuna. The dashi is also served in a pot, so you can enjoy various flavors. Notably, it comes with fresh sea lettuce, which is perfect for making dashi tea rice.

I stopped by for a drink after work. The restaurant was almost full and had a lively atmosphere. The food was reasonably delicious and affordable, and the conversation flowed well. It's conveniently located near the station, so you can easily dash in without getting too wet even on rainy days.

I made a reservation at the same hotel as last time for my business trip to Tokyo, so I decided to kill some time around Ochanomizu area at Guitar Ginza. Since I had some time to spare, I decided to go for a drink around here. Surprisingly, there weren't many options nearby, so I ended up choosing this place. The friendly waiter asked, "Is it okay if it's a short time until 6:30?" so I reluctantly agreed. I was seated on the third floor, and it seemed like they had a rotation system in place. I ordered sashimi, edamame, and doteyaki, which are their specialties. The food took a bit longer to come out, but the taste was good.

I visited the Yokohama Sakuragicho branch of this restaurant before and found out they also have a branch in Ochanomizu nearby, so this is my second visit. Overall, the cost performance is good. They have a limited selection of drinks like highball, but the more you drink, the cheaper it gets, which I personally think is great. The sashimi was fresh, and the deep-fried chikuwa with seaweed looked dark but tasted delicious. I want to go back again, no, I will go back.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 for lunch and the place was about 20-30% full. I ordered the grilled fish set meal for 880 yen, which came with rice and free refills of miso soup. Today's options were mackerel and salmon, both of which were delicious and had a nice oily texture. The rice was shiny and cooked just right. Even though the soup didn't have much in it, the fact that you could get free refills was a nice touch. By the time it was past 12 o'clock, the restaurant was completely full. I recommend going early.

I visited for lunch. They offer all-you-can-eat sea bream rice bowls with the option to have ochazuke as well. The tuna sashimi with egg yolk, grilled fish, tarako and shiba-zuke, fresh seaweed, all go well with rice, so you can eat a lot. It's recommended when you want to eat until you're full. Thank you for the meal, I will visit again! ^_^

I visited the restaurant "Tsuriyado Sakaba Mazume" located on a side street near JR Ochanomizu Station. They serve fresh seafood. The name "Mazume" means the timing when a lot of fish gather, hoping that the place will also attract a lot of people. They are currently offering a limited-time "Bonito Lunch." Although it was my first visit and I wanted to try the standard menu, I decided to challenge myself with the "Bonito Sweet and Spicy Yukhoe Bowl" for 950 yen. It came with a delicious fish head soup. The combination of the sweet and spicy Korean-style sauce with the egg was excellent. The bonito must be fresh because it was really tasty. The strong flavor of the Korean-style sweet and spicy sauce was a bit overwhelming, but the freshness of the bonito shone through. The rice was so good with the dish. The runny egg yolk mixed with the bonito was delicious. I finished it in no time. It was my first time trying a Korean-style sweet and spicy Yukhoe bowl. The service provided by the lady who looked like Kowabata Rie (maybe the owner?) was fantastic! She was very good at engaging with customers. She had a perfect way of speaking and showed genuine care. She even invited regular customers back with a cheerful "See you next week!" and extended the same warm invitation to me. I can see why regulars keep coming back. I would like to try their signature seafood bowl or fried horse mackerel next time!

The drinking establishments in Ochanomizu have changed a lot. Shops that I liked have been replaced, but I want to find a place that I can call my go-to spot in Ochanomizu. This time, I found a promising candidate. I visited after work, and it was quickly packed with reservations. Since the menu is mainly focused on fish, I ordered mainly sashimi and other small dishes. The portion size is a bit small, but each dish is reasonably priced, and it's nice to be able to order a variety of dishes. By the way, there is a system called "Don'an" for drunkards, where the first glass of Jim Beam, lemon sour, or highball is 390 yen, the second glass is 290 yen, and from the third glass onwards it's 190 yen! The more you drink, the cheaper it gets, a dangerous system. As usual, I ordered Jim Beam with Don'an and left feeling good. This place is a definite repeat. I will come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for lunch. I ordered a lunch set of fried chicken and deep-fried tofu for 1000 yen, and added a mini sashimi for 300 yen. My companion ordered a Katsuo Yukke bowl for 950 yen. The fried chicken and deep-fried tofu came with only 2 pieces of fried chicken, which was not enough in terms of portion. The taste was average, but considering they advertise all-you-can-eat Tai Meshi, I expected more side dishes to go with it. The deep-fried tofu had a strong bonito flavor and a rich soy sauce taste, which paired well with the rice and was delicious. However, the fried chicken plate was served with only pickled vegetables, and the side dish also had pickled vegetables, showing a lack of variety. Furthermore, my companion's Katsuo Yukke bowl took a long time to arrive. By the time it finally came, my companion had to rush through eating it as they were short on time. The amount of Katsuo was also insufficient, and my companion ended up leaving some rice uneaten. The Tai Meshi was disappointing as there was hardly any fish meat in it. Even though it was advertised as all-you-can-eat, it didn't seem very appetizing. In the end, it took over 1 hour for the whole meal, and it would be better if they improved their operations.

I had some business around Ochanomizu Station and found this place the day before. I chose it because fish was the main dish, and they offered all-you-can-eat sea bream rice, which sounded appealing. I arrived a bit early and decided to kill some time before entering around 11:35 am, to find that the seats were filling up quickly. I ordered the chicken karaage set meal with all-you-can-eat sea bream rice for 999 yen. The interior of the restaurant was simple, but the female staff was attentive and pleasant. Most people were eating seafood bowls with sea bream rice as a side dish, so I felt like I was one of the few who ordered the set meal with sea bream rice. The background music in the restaurant was a bit nostalgic from the early 2000s. When the food arrived, the sea bream rice was served in a wooden tub. The portion was a bit small, and I quickly finished it as there was not much in the bowl. The color was light brown, the taste was subtly of sea bream, and there was hardly any fish in it. The rice was cooked together with the fish, which made it flavorful, and I enjoyed it even without any side dishes. The chicken karaage was standard, but it was freshly fried and delicious. There were various side dishes like raw egg, grated dried fish, and cod roe to accompany the rice. Surprisingly, no one else seemed to be getting seconds of sea bream rice, so I felt a bit embarrassed when I asked for more. Even then, the amount served was just enough for about four bowls, which left me feeling comfortably full. It made me realize that the portion size was just right. In hindsight, I should have ordered a set meal with sashimi or grilled fish, as fish would have been a better choice for a side dish. The restaurant seemed to offer a more enticing experience in the evening, with freshly caught fish, but for lunch, it was just a regular cafeteria. Nonetheless, I had a high-quality lunch at a reasonable price.

The seating is narrow! Extremely narrow! I wonder why no one says anything about it. I can barely sit comfortably in the sunken kotatsu seats, but other seats are so cramped that I can't sit still for even an hour. The restaurant is really noisy, and it's not a place where you can have a calm conversation. It might be okay for friends, but not suitable for work. We didn't order much food, but it was just okay, or maybe even below average. The pricing system is good though. The first drink is 429 yen, the second is 319 yen, and from the third drink onwards, it's only 209 yen, so it's a good deal. It's a smoking-friendly place, so it might be recommended for smokers.

The sashimi was amazing, especially the freshly prepared red snapper! I love the miso so much that I had to order extra even though it was already included in the sashimi platter. Grilled fish set meal with today's grilled fish and crab cream croquette [950 yen]. A grateful place where you can eat fish. I forgot what kind of fish it was, but it was firm and delicious. The crab cream croquette was quite large and piping hot. It was delicious.

(Visited in early July 2022) This was a weekday lunch visit. I had some free time in the afternoon due to a special circumstance. I visited this restaurant located in Ochanomizu. The time of visit was 13:20, with 4 customers on the 1st floor. There were also several customers on the 2nd floor, about 4 groups. I was seated on the 1st floor, and immediately ordered a highball. The highball was served in a small pitcher and was quickly finished. I ordered the all-you-can-eat sea bream rice and the grilled mackerel set meal for 999 yen. I was drawn to the photo of the sea bream piled up in the dish. This restaurant apparently reopened about 3 weeks ago. The staff was lively, but there were some difficulties in communication and operation. It seemed like my order was forgotten, as it took 25 minutes for it to be served. I didn't mind as I was enjoying my highball, but it was a bit slow. The highball I requested as a refill was also forgotten, and after waiting for 10 minutes, I had to remind them. As an apology, they served a strong highball with more whiskey. The sea bream rice was served in a wooden tub, equivalent to about 2 medium-sized rice bowls. As the name suggests, you can request a refill. I was surprised when I opened the lid... there was hardly any sea bream, just a few small pieces. The taste was good, cooked with sea bream broth and a hint of ginger. It was definitely sea bream rice, but there was a stark contrast with the sample photo. The grilled mackerel was a half-sized portion and tasted quite ordinary. The restaurant did not provide paper napkins or tissues. Since the mackerel had many bones and it was difficult to remove them with chopsticks, my fingers got oily... I had to use my own tissues. If they serve grilled fish, they should at least provide paper napkins. Another point that bothered me was when they brought the dipping sauce for the tea porridge. The sauce was served in a pot, and the remaining sauce used by the customer next to me was simply handed over to me when they were clearing the table. It didn't feel good to be handed someone else's leftovers. Despite being in a pot, wouldn't the sauce cool down once the lid is opened? The shirasu (small sardines) with grated daikon was delicious! The daikon was grated well! The tea porridge with mentaiko, seaweed, and wasabi for the finish was also tasty. The strange thing was the raw egg in a small dish with the condiments. I didn't find a use for it... was it really necessary? I paid with PayPay, and it was 2070 yen, which means the highball was 540 yen each! I saw a "super cheap" sign, but I guess it's different for lunch. The alcohol prices are also quite high, so if you drink a lot, your alcohol budget will disappear quickly!

Located one block south of JR Ochanomizu Station, the Fish Mori of the Dynac Group has been renovated and reopened as Tsuriyado Sakaba Mazume. This is the third branch following the Nihonbashi and Nishi-Shinjuku branches. To celebrate the opening, highballs, sours, and tea highballs are priced at 209 yen each! Upon entering the restaurant, it was quite lively. There were about 8 staff members, all seeming quite busy. I thought I might be able to sit at the second-floor counter seats that have been there since the Fish Mori days, but it seemed like I wouldn't be able to, so I decided to drink at the standing tables outside. The modern QR code ordering system meant there was no need to call a staff member, and the open-air atmosphere was very pleasant. I started with a highball (209 yen) since beer wasn't discounted. I also ordered the salted tripe stew (429 yen) and the fish chips snack (429 yen). The salted tripe stew is made with pork tripe sautéed in back fat. The melt-in-your-mouth pork belly cartilage is delicious. The fish chips snack, while a bit greasy, was crispy and tasty. Plus, it was quite filling, so it was enough on its own. I also had a tomato highball (209 yen) and a not-so-good green juice highball (209 yen) as refills. Don't forget to use the coupon from Tokyo Kotobuki nearby! The Dynac Group is convenient in many ways.

The liquor store is a very fresh izakaya. They offer a variety of drinks such as beer, shochu highball, and sake. The fresh fish from the local area is delicious, and the oden is also tasty. Although the menu is not extensive, each item is satisfying. I recommend trying the warm shochu mixed with oden broth.

I happened to visit this restaurant for the first time and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service of the staff. The fish was delicious and the dishes were tasty. However, if I had to mention one thing, the alcoholic drinks other than highball didn't have much alcohol in them and tasted more like soft drinks, which was a bit disappointing.

Even though it was my first time, the staff prepared a private room on the 3rd floor for us. Thanks to that, the three of us were able to enjoy a leisurely meal with delicious seafood and alcohol. I also went for lunch another day, and the fish was delicious! They even had a "all-you-can-eat sea bream rice" menu. I was worried if the business was doing okay because it was so good.
