This shop is also like that. A delicious restaurant that is always crowded regardless of Tabelog reviews. It's not very close to the station in a residential area. But it's always crowded, and I also wait in line. It's a long-established Musashino Udon shop in Hachioji that I've been going to for a long time. Due to the Omicron's rampage, I thought it might be empty, so I arrived a little after the 11:00 opening time. As expected, it was not crowded, and we were able to get a seat without waiting in line. However, by around 11:30, a line had formed. On a weekday Friday, the restaurant is quite spacious, so even if you have to wait a bit, the turnover is very fast. There is also a private parking lot for the shop, and there are coin parking lots nearby. My wife hates ramen shops. She doesn't like places like Ramen Jiro at all. But she is a big fan of this udon shop. Although my wife is slender, when she's in a good mood, she can eat two servings. Normally, even women who eat little can easily finish 1.5 servings. Despite the fact that the noodles are similar to Ramen Jiro's, they are very delicious, so we have been going there for a long time. Since it's Musashino Udon, the noodles have a rough handmade texture with plenty of wild and rough characteristics. When you order a lot of servings, it comes in a ramen bowl, haha. People who like Ramen Jiro will definitely love this udon shop!!! The special incantation is "Niku Tamago Tempura Udon 3 servings Extra Sesame Extra". I used to be a Jirolian. A former Jirolian. I'm refraining from going there for a diet... Hachioji also has two famous Ramen Jiro shops. The ordering system at Futaba-ya is unique. When you enter the shop, you take a piece of paper and a pen, write down your order and name, and hand it to the old lady. Our order was 2.5 servings of blue tonkatsu, 1.5 servings of tempura (kakiage), one mountain vegetable, two raw eggs, one meat, and one meat and tempura to share. When we sat down at the table, they brought it to us, and when we finished eating, we went to the counter, told the old lady our name, and paid. Inside the shop, the old ladies wear white triangular handkerchiefs and are bustling around, while the old man is alone in a harem. He's just making udon noodles. By default, it comes with green onions, naruto fish cakes, and spinach. I eat halfway through the Kake Udon, then pile on the toppings and run towards complete conquest. The Sligoma on the table is a must. For two or more bowls, I like to have a spoonful mountain of three bowls. Shichimi is optional. I also like Sanuki Udon, Mizusawa Udon, and Inaniwa Udon, but Musashino Udon is also delicious. Rather, I love Futaba-ya. If you're near Hachioji Station, I highly recommend it. It's a wonderful restaurant that you can eat at every day, suitable for cars and families.
