July 4, 2023. First visit. Before running errands, I went on a sweets tour around the Yoyogi-Uehara station area. I found out that this shop that I had been curious about is just a short 20-minute walk from Yoyogi-Uehara station, so I made the effort to go there in the hot weather! Luckily, there was only one group ahead of me. Not only did they have Pastel de Nata, but they had a wide variety of options! While waiting, I carefully considered and ended up purchasing the following two items. There was a bench outside where I could eat, so I enjoyed them there.
"Pastel de Nata" ¥280
This item, which is likely the flagship product given that it is included in the store name, was completely different from what I had imagined...! I thought it would be a crispy tart crust filled with custard cream, but it turned out to be a crispy and flaky crust with plenty of custard cream! I can't quite find the right comparison, but the texture was similar to fried dumpling skin in my personal opinion. The custard cream was soft and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of egg richness, it was perfect...!!!
"Queijada de Sintra" ¥270
Described as a cinnamon-flavored cheesecake, I had to try it as a cinnamon lover! The cinnamon flavor was strong, with chunks of cheese scattered throughout, adding richness to it. Compared to the typical baked cheesecake, it felt lighter. For someone like me who tends to get tired of cheesecake halfway through, it was easy to eat due to its moderate richness. Despite its small size, it provided a high level of satisfaction, a testament to its high quality!...That being said, the deliciousness was addictive, leaving me wanting more! I felt a bit unsatisfied and wanting more laughs. With so many unfamiliar and innovative sweets, I am so intrigued that I will definitely revisit when I am nearby! I want to try them all...!!! Thank you for the meal(人 •͈ᴗ•͈)♡

I learned about this place from a friend and visited after a nearby event. I bought an egg tart. The pastry was crispy on the outside and the filling was not too sweet, with a simple and delicious taste. It made me realize that food doesn't have to be complicated to be good. I wanted to try the chicken pie as well, but it was sold out due to the late hour. I'll make a reservation next time I visit.

I had been curious about this place for a while, and it was also featured in the Sweets Heaven section of Porjuku Tanabe, so I had to try it. I happened to be nearby for something else, so I stopped by. Even in the late evening, I was able to make a purchase. The fact that it can last for a week when refrigerated is also a nice point. The outside is crispy and the inside is a creamy custard-like filling, very delicious. It seems like it's also good when chilled, but I prefer it toasted. They also had savory pies, so I'd like to try those next time. Thank you for the meal!

It is a small shop that you might pass by without noticing (only 1-2 groups can enter the shop at a time, so you may have to wait outside). However, I felt that the egg tart here was the most delicious I have ever had! I found this place by searching while there was an event nearby, and I felt like I got a great deal. I came from far away, so I will definitely visit again when I am in the area!

I believe there are definitely 100 people who have performed this boring joke inside the Christiano Ronaldo restaurant. The elegant interior, food, and staff create a wonderful atmosphere, making this popular neighborhood restaurant always crowded.

I visited Cochilana de Cristiano near Yoyogi Park. Before my visit, I did a little research and bought the delicious Embada de Frango for 262 yen. The shop uses Tsukiji Miyagawa chicken, cooks it overnight with salt, pepper, and nutmeg for a simple yet flavorful taste. It is the most popular menu item among the staff. I reheated it in a toaster oven for about 5 minutes as instructed on the bag. It was even more delicious than I expected. It is selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog, so I had high expectations, and they were met. The simple seasoning really brings out the best in the chicken. I had it with tea this time, but I think it would be great with beer or wine next time. Thank you for the meal.

Just a few minutes from Yoyogi Park Station and about 5 minutes from Yoyogi Hachiman Station, you'll find this 2022 Sweets Top 100 Shop, Natá de Cristiano. Their popular item is the Pastel de Nata, an egg tart, so I visited on a weekday evening. I only got two this time since I had bought bread earlier, but in hindsight, I regret not getting more. When I warmed them up a bit at home, the pastry was unbelievably crispy and flaky, and the creamy filling was delicious. Next time, I want to try the Empada de Frango (chicken pie) and buy the egg tarts in a box since they freeze well. The quality of the pastry is exceptional, which I think is why it's considered a top 100 shop. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by to buy egg tarts! I was worried if they would be open on the day of the typhoon forecast, but it was okay! The official name of the egg tart is "Pastel de Nata". But even if you just say "egg tart", they understand. It's nice. I bought one for 280 yen! I bought 10 of them! (2 for each of the 5 family members!) I ate them at home! It had a crispy sound! The inside was soft and sweet! Ah, it's delicious after all! Crispy, soft! Sweet! I love this sweetness and texture! It's easy to buy, delicious, and I love the egg tarts here. I want to visit again! Thank you for the meal! I ate them so quickly, without even having time to reheat them! A must-visit shop from now on.

This is a bakery near Yoyogi Park that is famous for its egg tarts. I decided to stop by since I was nearby. Instead of just buying one egg tart, which felt a bit awkward, I also purchased Kinjin and Nata Ice cream that were displayed separately on the menu. While waiting for the Nata Ice cream to be ready, I sat on a bench outside since no one else was around. It took longer than I expected, but once it was ready, I enjoyed the Nata Ice cream on the spot and took the rest home to eat. Now, about the taste...
【Pastel de Nata】The crispy texture of the pie crust is amazing! The custard cream inside is not too sweet and has a rich flavor, making it quite delicious. The size is small, so it disappears quickly, leaving you wanting more.
【Kinjin】It looks like a donut, but it is completely different. It has a cake layer with lots of coconut, topped with something that you can't quite figure out from its appearance. The two layers create a unique texture and taste that is hard to describe. The coconut flavor and texture are prominent and delicious.
【Nata Ice Cream】In simple terms, it is vanilla ice cream on top of bread. The vanilla ice cream has a rich color and is made from the cream used in the egg tarts. It is served on Katane Bakery's bread, creating a simple yet delicious combination. I had to eat it quickly due to the heat melting the ice cream, so I couldn't savor it as much as I wanted.
There were mysterious signs with flavors written in Portuguese, one of which meant "bread" flavor. They also sell bread, and there are weekend-only sandwiches available. There are many intriguing signs, but the small Japanese explanations make it a bit challenging to understand them quickly.

I always end up stopping by when I pass by. The pie crust is crispy and the texture is amazing. It's best to eat it on the day you buy it because it gets a little moist the next day. I'll definitely go buy some when I pass by again! Cheers!

It was a hot Sunday in August. I arrived right at the opening time of 10 o'clock and there were only 3 groups waiting in line, I was the 4th. Lucky me. My goal was to get Pastel de Nata, but they often sell out of certain types by early afternoon, so I decided to try some new ones. - Pastel de Nata 280 yen - Empada de Frango 262 yen - Queijada 270 yen - Bolode Clara 270 yen All prices include tax. The Pastel de Nata was as delicious as always. I usually prefer Doce de Leite, but it has become harder to find in recent years, so this shop that consistently has it available is very important to me. The Empada de Frango, a chicken-filled pie, was also very tasty. I had enjoyed an Empada with onions inside last time, and this one was just as good. The Bolode Clara and Queijada were not really to my liking. I'll have to go back again soon.

I was able to buy without waiting in line, and they have reopened for dining in (with only a few seats available in a very small space). You can sprinkle sugar or cinnamon powder on top, and you can also drink lime water from the server. As always, the egg tart was delicious. The price has gone up a bit, so the value for money may have slightly decreased.

Famous shop for Pastel de Nata (Portuguese egg tarts). I first tried it at Dosis Pega in Jinbocho and have been hooked ever since. Visited on a Thursday around 14:40. There were two men waiting outside the shop. More people kept lining up after that. This time, I ordered their signature menu item:
- Pastel de Nata x3 for 280 yen each = 840 yen
The crust was crispy and layered. When you bite into it, you can taste the buttery aroma. The custard cream was generous and had the perfect level of sweetness. It was gone in no time. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I bought Pastel de Nata and Bollo de Clara con Chocolate. Pastel de Nata is an egg tart. The crispy crust and cream are delicious. Bollo de Clara con Chocolate is a sponge cake made with meringue. The dough is mixed with chocolate and is very tasty.

I visited this restaurant for the second time, located in a small alley just a short walk from Yoyogi Park Station. I went on a weekday afternoon and was able to enter without waiting in line. There are tables and benches in front and behind the shop where you can sit and eat. The shop itself is small, with enough space for one person to enter comfortably, but a bit tight for two people to walk around. I chose the popular dish, Ember de Frango for ¥262 - "Chopped chicken from Tsukiji Miyagawa quickly seared, seasoned with just salt, pepper, and nutmeg. It's a simple but delicious dish and the staff's number one recommendation." The simple ingredients made for a flavorful and delicious dish. The shop also had lime water for service, which paired well with the dish. Although it's a sweets shop, they also offer meal options which is great. I had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.

◼️Located in the Belém district of Portugal, this pastry shop specializes in the traditional Portuguese egg tarts known as "Pastel de Nata." The pastry chef trained at the renowned Porto bakery "tavi" to replicate the authentic flavors.
◆Pastel de Nata: A crispy pastry filled with a rich custard cream. The slightly salty flavor pairs well with alcohol, and it tastes even better when warmed up. A must-try dessert that will make you want to come back for more!
◆Empada de Frango: A chicken pie made with chicken from Tsukiji Miyagawa, seasoned with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. This dish is a favorite among the staff for its tender chicken filling and flavorful pastry. It pairs perfectly with red wine. Definitely worth a repeat visit!
◼️This shop specializes in takeout pastries and offers sugar and cinnamon at the counter. They accept transportation IC cards and credit cards. Note that photography inside the shop is prohibited. The owner, Koji Sato, trained in Japanese cuisine at a culinary school and worked at hotels in Tokyo before moving to Italy. After gaining experience in various countries, he returned to Japan and opened his own restaurant. The shop is affiliated with the Portuguese pastry shop "Nata de Cristiano" and other restaurants serving Portuguese cuisine. It is a well-known establishment in Portugal, similar to "manju" in Japan. You can also enjoy their pastries at the affiliated Portuguese restaurant "Cristiano," which is popular among celebrities.

This is a well-known shop famous for its egg tarts. Due to the heat, there was no line and I was able to buy them easily. There is a Portuguese restaurant called Cristiano nearby, which seems to be related to this shop. The shop has a Spanish bar-like atmosphere in a back alley, which I remember as quite good. Although I may have drunk too much to be certain... The egg tarts here are called "Pastel de Nata." "Nata" means cream in Portuguese. The pastry is crispy and slightly salty. It seems to be carefully calculated to remain crispy even when taken home. The egg custard is rich but gentle in flavor, packed with deliciousness in a small size. It can be enjoyed cold or reheated, and I think it would go well with wine. They are reasonably priced, come in a cute box, and would make a great gift. They also have chicken tarts and other unique items that I would like to try next time.

"Day Off Food Log: Visiting 100 Famous Restaurants in Shibuya and Yoyogi Park" [No.4] Today's last stop on the 100 famous restaurant tour. Souvenirs for home! So, I went to "Nata de Cristiano" from "Sweets 100 Famous Stores" for takeout. This is a shop specializing in tarts! [Nearest Station/Location] About a 3-minute walk from Yoyogi Park Station. I walked from Shibuya Station, which took about 18 minutes (I also took a walk back to Shibuya). [Purchase Method] Takeout only, order at the counter and pick up. The shop is very small but cute, and you can see them making the tarts inside! [Visit Time/Day] I visited on a weekday Monday (during the Bon holidays) around 2 pm, and there were no customers in line, so I could order quickly. [Order Items] I bought 2 "Pastel de Nata (280 yen tax included)". Since it's a "Sweets 100 Famous Stores", I chose a sweet tart! The staff recommended a type like a chicken pie, but I passed this time. [Tart Review] Pastel de Nata is a custard tart. I reheated it in the oven at home before eating. The packaging of the tart also had instructions on how to enjoy it, suggesting to warm it up, and it was spot on! You can feel the amazing crispiness! The custard part is slightly crispy and not too sweet. The greatness of the pastry is undeniable. It can be stored in the refrigerator for about 1 week, making it a perfect souvenir or gift! It's easy to get to from Yoyogi Park, so it's convenient! [Special Note] It's always exciting to find a shop quietly standing in a trendy area in Tokyo! And it's even more exciting to eat! The price of under 300 yen per piece is also great! However, the size is quite small, and I ended up eating it in two bites. The pastry is so crispy that it crumbles when you chew, so it's best to savor the flavor all at once!"

Pastel de Nata (Egg Tart)
◆Impressions◆
We visited when it was getting dark and slightly raining near closing time, but we were greeted by a friendly staff which brightened our mood (*´꒳`*) We took the tart home and baked it in a toaster oven the next morning ♡ The pastry that was initially soft became crispy and delicious!! Now I understand why they sell larger sizes. I feel like I could easily eat 2 or 3 of them (◍′◡‵◍) It's also good value for money, so I think it would be a great souvenir that would be appreciated! Recommended!

Holiday, arrived around 4 pm on Friday. There was only one group of customers ahead of me, so I only had to wait for 2-3 minutes before it was my turn. I ordered a basic menu item called Pastel de Nata, a custard tart for 280 yen. It seemed to be freshly baked as it was still warm. I was so excited! It was a takeout, but I was able to eat it outside, so I just ate it there. It was so sweet and incredibly delicious! And the fact that it was less than 300 yen in this area is very reasonable! Thank you for the meal ^ ^ I will definitely come back again!
