Long time no see! At Imozaka Slope, 50% of the tourists were foreigners. I could hear English more often. Inside the restaurant, there may be more English speakers. The vegetable skewers are delicious! I think it's the charcoal or smoked aroma that gives it a nice touch. Feels like a festival.

My friend from Singapore made a reservation for this izakaya in advance. The location is convenient, especially close to Roppongi Station. The area outside the restaurant is lively, and we could immerse ourselves in the atmosphere. This place seems to be popular among foreigners, as various languages can be heard nearby. The staff is very kind and friendly, and they communicate fluently in English. However, the business was really busy, and the food was a bit slow at first. We were mostly drinking as lightweights while eating three big cabbage hot pots, but then the service became faster and we didn't get bored.

When you go down the hill behind the Roppongi intersection, you will find this place. As soon as you enter the shop, there is a counter where friendly staff will greet you. The counter is small, so it's a good place for those who want to get close, but be careful as the distance with the staff is also close. The wall is lined with shochu bottles, and the menu suggests that the shop has a Kyushu theme. The skewers are varied, with unique options like sukiyaki, liver, gizzard, and tomato skewers, which the staff will show you. All the skewers were delicious, but the standout was the recommended lettuce wrap! You can choose between salt, cheese, or sauce for the sauce, and I ordered both with salt. The perfect grilling, the crispiness of the pork around the lettuce, and the texture of the lettuce itself all pair well with alcohol. The grilling staff were smiling throughout, and they even explained and took orders in English for the many foreign tourists, making the atmosphere bright and enjoyable. While it may seem like a shop for overseas tourists listed in guidebooks due to the high number of them, the food is delicious, so I recommend Japanese visitors to give it a try!

The shop specializes in vegetable skewers, and the blonde girl recommended them with very friendly service! The vegetable skewers and other dishes were all delicious, and the service was great, making it a very satisfying drinking party. There were also many foreign customers, and I was impressed by the staff members who were able to provide service in English!

When you go down Imozaka slope from Roppongi intersection, you will see a delicious Hakata yakitori restaurant on your left. The interior of the restaurant has a moist atmosphere based on wood. You can also see people drinking on the terrace seats overlooking the street. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes, but the restaurant's specialty is the diverse selection of skewers. At the entrance counter, you can see the ingredients for the day's skewers, and they may also bring a wooden box of skewers to your table. Visiting for the first time after the pandemic, we were the first customers when we entered at 5 o'clock with two people. We sat at the counter in the back. The cabbage appetizer (200 yen) is refillable. As a chicken lover, I first ordered "chicken thigh" (250 yen) and "seseri" (250 yen). The chicken thigh is sandwiched with onion instead of leek, which is a nice touch. My favorite "shiso roll" (280 yen) is very juicy with pork. The "all-purpose leek" (350 yen) wrapped in pork with leek is a fusion of the richness of pork and the refreshing taste of leek. The "stew" (650 yen) ordered as a side dish was quite ordinary. The "nira tama" (350 yen) ordered as an experiment was a surprising skewer with leek wrapped in pork and served with egg. The "yamaimo tempura" (650 yen) ordered every time is consistently delicious with its fluffy texture. While everything at this restaurant is delicious, the skewers are a must-try. Hakata skewers are full of creative combinations. Especially the variety of skewers that combine meat and vegetables can be described as "bite-sized dishes". Therefore, even with just a few skewers, you can enjoy a wide range of dishes.

Gomakampachi is delicious!! The daikon karaage and tempura were also delicious, and all the skewers were tasty! I felt they were tastier than the vegetable rolls I had in Fukuoka! The restaurant was a bit small though! I ordered a soft drink but got alcohol instead haha.

Hakata Kushiyaki is irresistible... When you enter the restaurant, they show you a sample of their generous skewer platter, which you can then order! They also have table fans, which was very helpful during the hot summer... It's very kind of them to show the portion size, making it easy for customers! I ordered Sukiyaki, Man Negi, Asparagus, and Shiso, all of which were juicy and delicious... The alcohol also goes down very smoothly!! The Sesame Kanpachi we ordered was also a hit. Definitely going back again!

A robatayaki restaurant located between Roppongi and Azabu-Juban. It is about a 5-7 minute walk from Roppongi, so it can be a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with the area. The sign is small, so I passed by the shop twice before finally finding it. It is a popular restaurant and tends to be crowded. We arrived at 6 pm and were told we could only stay until 8 pm due to the next reservation. You can see the skewers being grilled right by the entrance, which is fun to watch if you sit at the counter. I recommend sitting at the counter to enjoy a variety of delicious skewers. The food is served quickly and is both tasty and satisfying. The staff are all very friendly and energetic.

The always popular and lively Hakata-style grilled skewer restaurant "Joumon Roppongi" is bustling with energy. First, you'll be excited by the box filled with sample skewers. Enjoy the Joumon potato salad made with plenty of eggs, and sip on the aged sweet potato shochu with lots of sudachi citrus while waiting for your skewers. From the signature lettuce wraps to various other dishes, you can have a fun and enjoyable time here.

Roppongi's robatayaki restaurant. It gives off the impression of having many foreign customers. This was our second stop of the night, so drinks were the main focus! I wanted to try the yakitori, but the anchovy potato was delicious, so I ended up just enjoying that along with highballs. I'd like to come back next time and take it easy as the first stop.

Second visit! It was incredibly delicious! The prices are reasonable and the best part is that they have spicy ramen, which I love! I tried the spicy ramen and it was delicious! Unfortunately, some items were sold out, which was a bit disappointing. The inside of the restaurant is quite noisy, but I still want to go back again! ☆

The location in Roppongi, the subtle Japanese atmosphere, the appearance and taste of the food. Many restaurants that foreign tourists like are disappointing for Japanese people, but this one can be recommended without hesitation. Especially the "yakisoba skewers" are a combination of sauce yakisoba with pickled ginger, mayonnaise, and pork wrapped in it, creating a delicious Japanese-style junk food. It is a must-try for foreign visitors after enjoying sushi or kaiseki. *However, while they do have some COVID-19 measures in place, sensitive individuals may still find it stressful.

I went to Joumon after a long time! It used to be a popular place for night drinks back in my new graduate days in Roppongi. The store was still lively and it made me happy. When I went after a long time, I noticed that the menu had changed slightly from when I last visited a year ago. Sadly, they no longer had liver steak. I hope they bring it back! Instead, there were plenty of vegetable skewers! I was happy to see my favorite shiso rolls and the leek and egg rolls were delicious. I wish the liver skewers were cooked a bit more rare. I used to have spicy ramen after skewers in the past, but I couldn't this time. I ended the meal with delicious vegetable skewers and drinks! It was a delicious and enjoyable restaurant experience! Thank you for the meal!

In the past, I used to visit this place about once a week, but in recent years I had drifted away. However, after visiting for the first time in a few years two weeks ago, I caught the Jōmon fever again! I have visited three weeks in a row now haha. Today, I decided to try a dish that I don't usually order, so I got the thick omelet with red pickled ginger and avocado salted kelp dumplings (like dumplings cooked in paitan soup). The avocado salted kelp was delicious♡ And most importantly, the soup for these dumplings was incredibly tasty! I could easily drink it all up. I also added champon noodles for the finish, which made the meal even more enjoyable♡ For skewers, I ordered lotus root rolls, shrimp and shiso rolls, and the classic mozzarella, shiitake, and others. The shrimp and shiso rolls were a big hit for me! I will make them a regular order from now on. And, for dessert after the meal, I had the bread ice cream that I got hooked on last time! The crispy crust outside with the ice cream melting inside was incredibly delicious♡ Ah, happiness♡ There are still so many things I haven't tried yet, so I want to keep coming back for a while♡

I visited the restaurant again this week after last week, and once again it was packed with customers even after 10 PM! It's clear that this place is very popular. I ordered my usual, yam and fried chicken, which is always delicious. I used to love the creamy croquettes with tuna, but sadly they've been removed from the menu. Another favorite of mine is the mozzarella skewers, they are just divine! I also ordered various skewers like sukiyaki, leek and cheese, zabuton, sagari, shiitake, and lettuce wraps. It seems like there are fewer skewer options than before. For dessert, I tried the bread ice cream, which is a vanilla ice cream stuffed inside a crispy baked bread. It's drizzled with maple syrup and tastes amazingly delicious. This menu item was not available in the past! I think next time I'll try their hotpot or side dishes.

Not just skewers, this izakaya also offers delicious side dishes and desserts! A skewer restaurant originating from Hakata! Even during the year-end, it was bustling with many people. The specialty skewers are well-balanced and the vegetable skewers, especially the voluminous cabbage rolls, are a must-order! The side menu is also varied with no misses! With counter seats, tatami seating, and private rooms available, this restaurant seems versatile for various occasions.

I was treated to a meal so the exact amount is unclear. Reservations are essential as it was fully booked on Saturday. There were various dishes to choose from, and I particularly enjoyed eating namero with coriander. The sweet potato sticks and chips with cream cheese dip were delicious, I ended up getting seconds. It's recommended to order what you want to eat rather than getting a mixed platter. The pancetta and pear skewers had a good balance of sweetness and saltiness, they were really tasty. It seems like they might be seasonal or change daily. It's nice to get some vegetables in, and the option to choose is fun. It's a great place to go with friends and have a good time.

Recommended by a friend, I visited this restaurant for the first time. It specializes in skewers wrapped with Hakata vegetables, using thinly sliced pork to wrap various vegetables and ingredients before grilling them on skewers. They offer a variety of seasonal vegetables, as well as unique options like yakisoba and curry rice. In addition to the skewers, they also serve regular yakitori dishes as well as individual items. The menu is quite extensive. Although not grilled, the deep-fried corn was incredibly delicious. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

The vinegar cabbage served as a complimentary dish was delicious and of course, there was no reason not to have seconds. It was a great appetizer to help decide on the menu. Since mackerel was not available that day, yellowtail was used as a substitute, called sesame yellowtail. The fish was already seasoned with a rich sauce, so it was balanced out by eating it with cabbage. Avocado, a favorite, was served as salted kelp salad, with big chunks mixed with kelp in a pleasing way. We also ordered grilled mentaiko at the request of my companion, although I usually avoid salty foods. Grilled items were shared, starting with vegetable skewers and moving on to beef, pork, and chicken, creating a good balance. In addition, we ordered all the cheese skewers for a flat rate of ¥350 each. The rectangular shape of the skewers was unexpected, similar to what you might see in a supermarket. Overall, we had a great time drinking and enjoying delicious food, thanks to the friendly and handsome waiter. Thank you for the meal!

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic (I'm getting tired of this term, lol), it seems like many restaurants have shifted their focus to takeout, with very few customers inside the dining area to ensure proper social distancing. After feeling a bit sick from drinking too much red wine at a previous restaurant, my companion seemed unsatisfied with the amount of alcohol consumed. We walked around and stumbled upon a place with its lights still on, just before closing time. We ordered a mixed appetizer plate for ¥500, which included ratatouille, umeshu jelly, soft-boiled egg, and curry mayo-flavored pickles. It was delicious! Despite the late hour, we each had a glass of shochu and the wine seemed to taste better. Phew... that was a relief! Thank you for the meal. This place is usually crowded, but during this pandemic, it might be a good opportunity to visit without a reservation and without having to wait in line? lol
