I was a little curious about the stylish atmosphere of the curry restaurant that is ranked among the top 100! When I happened to be in Harajuku for work, I decided to visit for an early dinner or late lunch. I arrived around 4:05 PM, timing it perfectly as there were no other customers at that time. I had the option to choose from a single curry or a combo of two different curries. Although I was interested in the vegetable curry popular among women, I was craving shrimp and cilantro, so I went with the combo of Shrimp Red Curry and Chicken Green Curry. The curry arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, along with a garnish of pickled radish. The curry was addictively spicy, and although I don't usually eat a lot of rice, the spices made me finish every last grain. It wasn't extremely spicy, but I did break a little sweat. Both curries were delicious and addictive. If I had to wish for something, it would be the ability to customize the combo options myself, and maybe a simple salad on the menu would be a nice addition. A man who came in after me ordered a size M, but they also offer size L, so even men can leave feeling satisfied. The Butter Chicken Curry seemed to be popular, but reviews indicated that the Beef Tendon Curry was also a favorite. I would like to try the Vegetable Curry and Keema Curry next time, so I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal! ◎

I didn't have much time until my next appointment after visiting the curry restaurant in Harajuku, so I went to a curry shop where I could eat quickly. I ordered a medium size Butter Chicken Curry for 1,000 yen. It came out quickly as expected, and I finished it in one go. It wasn't too spicy, so I didn't break a sweat even though it was a hot day. The mellow butter chicken flavor was gentle. The finely chopped pickled radish on the side added a nice touch to the dish.

This week's weekly special curry is "Chana Masala Curry" (size M, tax included 1000 yen). It is a curry made with chickpeas commonly eaten in the northern region of India. The chickpeas are packed in a watery sauce, providing a hearty and enjoyable texture. The unique aroma of coriander leaves adds a nice accent. It's great that they offer lunch service even in the late afternoon. The paper napkin provided was convenient to use, covering the front of the body when tucked around the neck. The service was quick, and we were in and out in about 20 minutes.

About a 10-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station. When the restaurant opened, there were only 3 customers. Today, I ordered the shrimp red curry and chicken green curry combo in a large size for 1500 yen. Both are Thai curries. The large size includes plenty of rice and curry sauce. The shrimp red curry has a distinct spiciness with a strong shrimp and coconut flavor, making it very delicious. The chicken green curry also includes daikon, Chinese cabbage, and bamboo shoots, and is also very tasty. The cilantro and side dishes are a nice palate cleanser. The large size is very filling with plenty of rice and curry sauce. I enjoyed every bite until the end. Thank you for the meal.

Actually, when I tried to go to Minori Ringo, the evening session was sold out and closed. In a hurry, I changed course and visited Curry Up, which I had been bookmarking for a while. I ordered the weekly special curry, Chicken Masala Tikka Curry with a salad and mango lassi set (1450 yen). I was expecting a very spicy curry because it was GHEE-based, but it turned out to be quite mild. It was still delicious though. The dressing for the salad reminded me of Sasazuka Chianti, which left a good impression. The restaurant was also clean and nice. It was tasty. Thank you for the meal.

This is a curry restaurant located near the intersection of Sendagaya Elementary School within a 10-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station. It is a popular restaurant with a steady stream of customers, rooted in the local food culture. Offering unique dishes that stand out from both Indian and Japanese cuisine, it is part of the famous "GHEE" lineage originating in this area. While there are many curry restaurants with similar presentation scattered throughout Japan, the taste tends to vary. This adds to the enjoyment of exploring different flavors while "chasing" after them. The restaurant operates as a curry stand with both table and counter seats, with a slightly tight seating arrangement not ideal for lingering. The turnover is fast, and it is open throughout the day, making it convenient to visit even during off-peak hours. The menu is extensive, but the most popular choices are the A and B combos, with A being more affordable. Opting for the B combo, I chose the butter chicken and beef tendon curry in medium size. The beef curry had a unique beef curry flavor reminiscent of barbecue sauce, leaving a lasting impression with its sweetness. The butter chicken curry deviates from traditional Indian cuisine, with a strong cheese flavor and subtle nuttiness, making it easy to enjoy with the rice, which is made from Akita Komachi rice cooked firm and with a noticeable presence. The portions are generous, providing a satisfying meal even in medium size. The unique and memorable flavors of the delicious curry make me want to revisit and explore more of its lineage.

Chigako ordered a small size! What's wrong with that!? We both ordered a combo plate. It's great that we can try four different dishes. I had a Thai curry dish, while Chigako had an Indian curry dish. For drinks, I had a frozen mango lassi, and Chigako had Indian chai with syrup. After eating (or before?), we listened to the song "Chan Chan Chan, Cha Cha Cha" in the car while sipping on chai. As for the curry, it was delicious. Authentic flavors - the Thai curry tasted like Thai curry, and the Indian curry tasted like Indian curry. Delicious.

I used it for lunch. I arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to enter smoothly. You can choose the number of roux in single or combo, but I chose combo. I ordered spinach and keema. It was served in about 10 minutes. As for the taste, both curries are very delicious! The keema was full of the umami of the minced meat. The spinach also had a strong flavor, and it was also very delicious. The rice was a little firm and went well with the curry. There are other types available, so I would like to go back and eat again.

Lunch Set B Combo M Size for 1300 yen includes Butter Chicken Curry and Beef Curry. I arrived around 11:50 am on a weekday and there was no wait. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, with about 5-6 seats each. They accept card payments. The M size portion is quite generous, similar to a regular large size. Most customers order the S size, but occasionally men order the L size. The curry is spicy, especially the Beef Curry.

Delicious, but when compared to CoCo Ichibanya, it's a bit underwhelming. CoCo Ichibanya is just too delicious, so it can't be helped. It's nice to be able to enjoy both flavors. Also, I wish they had regular fukujinzuke.

The restaurant is located a bit of a walk from Harajuku Station, in a quiet area away from Takeshita Street. I arrived around 1:00 PM on a weekday and was seated right away. They have counter seating and table seating. They offer a different curry each week, so I find myself going back every week. I tried the Sag Chicken curry and the Keema curry this time. They use a lot of spices, but even if you're not a fan, you can still enjoy it. The white rice is delicious. The pickles they serve at the beginning also go really well with the curry (maybe it's pickled radish?). I finished everything and can't wait to go back.

I tried the combination of Keema Curry and Chicken Curry. Although I often eat curry, these had unique flavors and rich tastes that I haven't experienced before, showing a dedication to spices. I especially enjoyed the Keema Curry. I am curious about the limited dinner menu of spinach curry.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and the interior was very stylish and clean, making me feel comfortable as soon as I stepped in. They had a wide variety of curry options, and the unique feature of being able to combine two different curry sauces was fun. I'm not a fan of spicy curry, so I ordered a non-spicy one. It turned out to be creamy and extremely delicious. The lassi was also amazing, pairing perfectly with the curry. The taste was so good that it made me decide to visit again.

One weekend, I felt like having "Yogorou" curry after a long time, so I walked from Omotesando to the restaurant. Despite it being past noon, there was still a long line as usual! It was scorching hot and I hesitated to wait in line, but my stomach was already in the mood for curry. Then I remembered there was another famous curry place nearby and found "Curry Up" on Tabelog. Looking at the presentation of the dishes, it reminded me of the GHEE curry place that used to be in Harajuku (which closed around 2005, a legendary place loved by Haruki Murakami). I discovered that "Curry Up" was actually produced by the designer NIGO. Excited, I eagerly walked to the restaurant with an empty stomach and luckily got in without much wait due to the quick turnover of customers. I sat at the counter and looked through the menu. There were many options and combinations to choose from. Today, I was craving for spiciness, so I decided on the Spicy Beef Curry and Butter Chicken Curry combination for 1,300 yen, along with a side of Potato Salad and Coleslaw set for 350 yen. The side dishes arrived first – the creamy Potato Salad with curry sauce on top was delicious as expected, and the Coleslaw with a perfect balance of sweet acidity and yogurt-dressed finely chopped cabbage and onions was also tasty. Then, the curries arrived! I tried the Butter Chicken first, expecting a rich and sweet flavor from the butter, but it had a refreshing tanginess and a well-balanced spice level which I really enjoyed. Next, I tried the dark and spicy Spicy Beef, which was indeed "slightly dry" style, very spicy and perfect with rice. It was exactly the taste I had imagined, and I devoured it eagerly! The pickles, made of finely chopped pickled radish, were a great complement to the curry and rice, enhancing the overall dining experience. I finished everything in one go! Delicious meal!

Feeling the danger of my life under the scorching sun, I hurriedly made my way to "Kari-Up" while glancing at the long line. Luckily, there was no line and I managed to slip into the last available counter seat. I decided to order the "Butter Chicken Curry" and "Beef Tendon Curry" as they seemed delicious. However, I was informed by the waitress that spinach and eggplant are only available on the evening menu. Oh no! I ended up ordering the Butter Chicken Curry and Beef Tendon Curry combo, priced at ¥1,150, with a small 200g rice in the center. The Butter Chicken Curry had a sweet flavor as expected, with 1.5 pieces of chicken. It had a rich and refined taste. On the other hand, the Beef Tendon Curry had a bitter taste with a hint of acidity, giving it a mature and complex flavor. The beef had 2 pieces, and the tendon melted into the curry, enhancing the richness and depth of the soup. Both curries had a similar texture, but their flavors were contrasting, making the half-and-half combination successful. The curry was light and suitable for female customers, with the option to choose the rice portion. After reading other reviews, I found out that "Kari-Up" was founded by someone from the former "Ghee" (predecessor of "BLAKES"), known for their bold and spicy curry. In contrast, "Kari-Up" has established its own original style of gentle and comforting curry. While I didn't feel any exceptional hospitality, if the flavors align with my preferences, I would consider coming back for more. Thank you for the meal.

This is a review of a curry restaurant that is one of the top 100 shops in 2022. I ordered the A Combo's S size set menu, which includes Beef Curry and Eggplant Curry for 900 yen. This menu is available for dinner and on weekends and holidays only. The complimentary water comes with a slice of lemon. The Beef Curry is spicy and has a soup curry-like flavor with bird's eye chili in it. It wasn't extremely spicy. The Eggplant Curry has soft eggplant that blends well with the curry. This restaurant offers a variety of curry options.

It was incredibly delicious. It was dangerously delicious. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, and this time I was working nearby and had some time before my next job, so I braved the scorching heat and walked here. And it was totally worth it. The food was so delicious that it was truly moving. Everything on the menu looked so good that I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up choosing the chicken curry and the beef tendon curry. I opted for the cheese topping on the beef tendon as it was recommended. Both curries were unbelievably delicious. As someone who says, "I'm not good with spicy food but I love curry," I can say that these curries were simply delicious regardless of spiciness. They were just delicious. They weren't actually spicy, but it was a kind of deliciousness that didn't require spiciness. Authentic curry sometimes has a certain heaviness or bitterness to it, but this curry had none of that. It was deep in flavor yet light in taste. This sensation might be what I have been searching for all along. Anyway, I encountered incredibly delicious curry. Personally, it was absolutely fantastic. The perfectly cooked rice, assuming you're going to pour different curries on both sides, was also fantastic. I found the most delicious curry. The default side dishes that came with it, as well as the coleslaw I ordered separately, were also fantastic with their sourness. Everything was fantastic. I will come back. I will definitely come back.

I had the Chicken Green Curry and Shrimp Red Curry, and the balance of spiciness was really good. It wasn't too spicy, but still had a nice kick to it, which I really liked. Mixing the two curries together was delicious. The side dishes were refreshing, and the lassi helped cleanse the palate after eating the curry. It was delicious. My partner had the Butter Chicken Curry and Beef Tendon Curry, which were not very spicy, so even those who don't like spicy food would enjoy them. They were full of flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, and we had a great time.

Ordered Butter Chicken Curry + Keema Curry and a small bottle of Ebisu beer at Curry Up in Kitasando. Curry on a hot day is the best. The Butter Chicken is quite mellow with cheese. The Keema is not very spicy but has a strong flavor, both are delicious. It's a shame the Ebisu wasn't cold.
