We used this restaurant for a company banquet. It is a Japanese izakaya with a calm atmosphere, close to Gotanda Station. We reserved a banquet course with all-you-can-drink. We started with a toast with Ebisu beer. It was well chilled and delicious. The sashimi, which is a specialty of this restaurant, was fresh and thick, providing a satisfying texture. The salad with mushrooms and fried taro were also delicious. The grilled autumn salmon was impressive and paired well with the drinks. The main dish was a hot pot of duck and udon noodles. The duck broth-infused udon was refreshing and elegant in taste. The simple appearance belied the delicious flavor. For dessert, we had sweet potatoes, which had a natural sweetness. Each dish was meticulously prepared, and the quality exceeded our expectations for a banquet menu. We enjoyed the food and drinks thoroughly and left feeling full. The a la carte menu also looked very appetizing, so we would like to visit again next time. Thank you for the meal!

I used the course meal with all-you-can-drink sake for 5,500 yen to have a fun time with friends. All the dishes were delicious, but the large oysters were the best! They were really big. The tai-meshi cooked in the clay pot at the end was also very good. I used to live in Mie, so I was happy to see the use of Banko-yaki clay pots. The sake included in the all-you-can-drink menu was "Karaho," which was also nice.

A calm restaurant located on the first floor of a mixed-use building along Gotanda Yurakucho Street. Their specialty is sea bream rice, but all the dishes are delicious. This time, we had a course with all-you-can-drink for 5,000 yen per person including tax. It was very satisfying with large fresh oysters.

Visited on a Friday! Convenient location near the station in a neon-lit street. The place was packed as it was a Friday. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect for hanging out with friends. The menu mainly consists of Japanese dishes such as meat, sashimi, and rice dishes. They also offer set courses, which I would consider trying next time.

I made a reservation expecting specialty fish and delicious sake, but there were many groups in the restaurant, making it too noisy to have a conversation. The food was a bit disappointing as there weren't any standout dishes. I had chilled tomato, squid sashimi, red snapper and salmon sashimi, corn tempura, Oyama chicken Karaage, and a glass of draft beer with Sake Bon. That was the end of the meal.

I made a reservation after being impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was fully booked by 7 pm on a Tuesday, showing that it's a popular spot. I ordered a sashimi platter with 5 types of fish, which was visually stunning and delicious. The oden platter also had 5 different toppings, each matched with a different base ingredient, and they were served in unique dishes. The broth was also delicious. I started with an Ebisu draft beer, then moved on to sake, and later enjoyed a bottle of sweet potato shochu with water. The variety of drinks was thoughtful and fun to choose from. The service was excellent, and I ended up staying longer than planned because of the pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely like to come back for a small gathering of about 4 people.

This shop is excellent for pairing with sake. They value seasonal ingredients. The appetizer is a clam soup that seems to say, "drink lots of sake." Enjoying delicious sake while eating the various dishes in the photos. The highlight is the combination of Akita's Kariho and sea pineapple. This combination is the best. The sea pineapple was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo. I will definitely come back. ^_^

This time, I used it for a year-end party. Originally, it was a ¥5000 course with all-you-can-drink sukiyaki. I upgraded it to premium all-you-can-drink halfway through, and asked for a further upgrade for an additional ¥2000. They added a plate of sea urchin, oysters, and shirako little by little. It was amazing to add sea bream rice at the end. They responded to my selfish requests and everyone was satisfied with the content. It was grateful to be able to hold a year-end party even in these times. I will come again.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and perfect for a relaxing time. The menu offers a variety of dishes from sake appetizers to sea urchin. The main dish, oden, is especially comforting in the winter. There are options for meat, seafood, and sake accompaniments that will please everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet and enjoyable dining experience. I will definitely be going back.

A hidden izakaya with delicious seafood located in a lively district with neon lights, about a 5-minute walk from Gotanda Station. The fish dishes are delicious, but you can't go wrong with the seasonal vegetables and meat dishes either. On this day, the buri from Toyama was excellent. The fatty buri with plenty of wasabi goes well with sake. When you're nearby, be sure to stop by. Thank you for the meal.
[Order]
- Buri sashimi 850 yen
- Fried taro 660 yen
I forgot the rest, haha.

☆Gotanda Station☆ I visited the izakaya, seafood, sea bream rice restaurant "Akamame" for the first time for lunch. It seemed like they had temporarily closed, but when I passed by, I decided to pop in for lunch. I noticed the tuna and sea bream with sesame soy sauce salad set meal, which seemed auspicious with its red and white colors. The seasoning was a bit salty and strong for my taste, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Due to the coronavirus, some places that didn't offer lunch before are now serving lunch. I stumbled upon a place during my lunch break that had just opened. I was the first customer and was seated at a table in the back. I decided to try their specialty, "Gawasoba," which I had been wanting to try. It arrived after about 15 minutes, and it was a bit difficult to eat but had an interesting flavor. It felt like a local specialty. However, I felt like the portion was a bit small. I noticed they had a larger size option, so I regretted not choosing that. The menu had many interesting items, but if they improve the value or portion size, it would be even better. Overall, it was a unique experience.

I visited Akamame-san after a long time. I happened to pass by the store during lunchtime for work, and they were offering lunch service. Due to the state of emergency, they can only operate for a limited time, so they started serving lunch for a limited period. The lunch price was also reasonable at 1000 yen! Since Akamame-san is known for delicious sashimi, I immediately decided to dine in. I ordered the sashimi set without hesitation. The sashimi platter that arrived at the table consisted of 5 varieties of thickly sliced sashimi beautifully arranged. It looked undeniably delicious! I quickly tried a large piece of bonito. It was large, thickly sliced, tender, and incredibly delicious! It went perfectly with the rice, and I unconsciously finished it. The content was unbelievable for a 1000 yen set meal, and I was very surprised! I will definitely be a repeat customer! However, unfortunately, the lunch is only available for a limited time. So, I would like to visit again to enjoy this valuable Akamame lunch. By the way, they also had the popular local dish from Yamaguchi Prefecture, "Kawara Soba," which appeared in a popular drama! It seems to be quite popular. I would like to try it next time!

At the Yuraku Street in Higashi-Gotanda, there is a restaurant called "Akamame" with a red sign and cedar balls as a landmark. I used to pass by the store often during my time working in Gotanda, but after being transferred to Saitama, I passed by the store again and found out they were open for lunch, so I decided to go in. I was torn between the menu options but ended up ordering the "Sashimi Set Meal." It came with 5 types of sashimi, 2 pieces each. I started by eating the sashimi alone, but for the second piece, I placed it on top of the rice to make it like a seafood bowl. The rice was also delicious. While looking at the menu, I got curious about the curry, so I would like to try it if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

While strolling around during lunchtime, I stumbled upon Akamame-san starting their lunch service. They have stopped serving bento boxes and switched to offering lunch for ¥1000. Without hesitation, I entered the restaurant. Since it was a bit late for lunch, it was close to peak hours and the place was almost full, which was a bit surprising. The lunch menu consisted of 5 rice dishes and 2 noodle dishes. I was a bit indecisive but ended up ordering the top item, which was a sashimi platter with 5 types of sashimi. I waited for about 15 minutes. Although they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the orders, the quality of each piece of sashimi was good. Especially the bonito sashimi was quite impressive. Overall, the sashimi was reasonably priced for ¥1000. I didn't feel much of Akamame's originality in the dish, but considering the price, it was decent. I would be willing to pay a bit more for a sea bream rice dish though.

I was surprised when I stumbled upon Akamame, a pure Japanese cuisine restaurant known for its delicious oden and fish dishes. They recently started offering bento boxes, which cost ¥700 each. The main options for today were pork stew, oyster fry, crab cream croquette, salt-grilled mackerel, and fried chicken. You can choose between bamboo shoot rice and sea bream rice to go with your meal. The rice is served freshly cooked and scooped from a jar upon ordering, which is a nice touch. I was thrilled to be able to enjoy sea bream rice in a bento box, so I ordered the oyster fry with sea bream rice. While the cost performance may not be the best, the quality is definitely that of a Japanese restaurant bento box. The service of having hot rice scooped for you is also a nice touch. Overall, it was a satisfying bento box experience.

The homemade ankimo has a refined and refreshing flavor that is excellent. The amberjack sashimi is perfectly aged! Unlike freshly grated amberjack, which tastes bland and crunchy like paper. The skill of letting the unique flavor and umami of the amberjack develop until it's just right, like in this restaurant, is top-notch. The main's sourcing from Tosa includes thinly sliced kue sashimi. Wow! Are they really serving this at this price? Incredible cost performance! For the finale, the main's dashi-infused oden, which used to be an oden shop. Ganko (beef tendon), daikon radish, konjac, shirataki noodles, soft thick fried tofu, mochi-wrapped inari sushi, all delicately balanced with a rich dashi flavor infused in the ingredients. Unquestionably delicious and great value for money!

I had been curious about Akamame-san for a while. The owner is from Kochi prefecture, so many of the dishes are from Shikoku. I had high expectations as they had trained at an oden restaurant in Ginza. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and I could relax quietly. The first thing that caught my eye was the tai-meshi (sea bream rice). However, I wanted to try oden that day, so I ordered a platter of 5 types of oden and a platter of 5 types of sashimi. Both the oden and sashimi were delicious, and you could feel the careful work put into them. I also ordered an additional platter of 3 types of oden. In particular, the aroma of the seaweed was strong and exquisite. The daikon (radish) melted in your mouth. I might have wanted to try a greater variety of sashimi. The presentation was beautiful and meticulous, but there wasn't anything particularly outstanding in terms of the ingredients. Perhaps because it was a platter. Oh, the shrimp was quite large and deliciously sweet. Lastly, I had uni (sea urchin) with beef and tamago kake gohan (raw egg over rice). The uni was made with Sendai beef and Hokkaido uni. This was definitely a winner. I will definitely come back. The tamago kake gohan was made with eggs from yuzutama, which are eggs raised with yuzu peel, giving it a faint yuzu aroma. The rice was delicious, and I finished it all in one go. It was a very satisfying meal. I definitely want to try the tai-meshi next time.

Stable supply of sashimi. Thickly sliced yellowtail with just the right amount of fat, seared sea bream with crispy skin, and a spicy soy sauce poured over fresh whale meat. The daikon radish in the oden is the best in this restaurant! Buttered hanpen, shiitake mushrooms, plenty of green onions in the egg, and a flavorful oden broth with depth. Finish with seaweed rice porridge. Start with a drink. Cheering for you.

Actually, this place is also a famous oden shop! Today we had a platter of three types. The imitation crab soaked in broth and the delicious daikon radish that has absorbed all the broth, are they the best in Tokyo? And the unique egg with plenty of scallions that you can only find at this shop. The basic broth is delicious! Also, bonito tataki, fresh saury sashimi, and yellowtail sashimi. The yellowtail is farmed, but the top quality of farmed fish can sometimes surpass wild fish. And the simmered blackthroat seaperch that is not on the menu. A high-class simmered dish with a refined soy sauce broth that is not too sweet. Delicious! This place is reliable. Instead of overly sweet simmered dishes that kill the flavor of the fish, they serve lightly seasoned simmered dishes that bring out the flavor of the fish. Specialty vegetables like Seri from the Shimanto River and dadacha beans are also delicious! The sake is flowing. The conversation is lively. Come and enjoy the feeling of happiness!

A famous restaurant, Akamame, has reopened! They offer delicious dishes like straw-grilled bonito, fresh autumn swordfish sashimi, salt-grilled autumn salmon, Seri from the Shimanto River, and corn tempura, all at reasonable prices. Their selection of premium sake is also top-notch. You have to check this place out and show your support! This is a restaurant worth rooting for!
