It has been about 3 years since I last visited Robata Shou, which is ranked as the best izakaya. You can enjoy delicious robatayaki, but the standout dish is definitely the famous potato salad, which is incredibly tasty. I ended up drinking too much with the all-you-can-drink option! Here's what I had: - Appetizer - Sashimi - Famous Potato Salad - Donko Shiitake mushrooms - Edamame - Robatayaki - Grilled Golden Eye Snapper - Grilled Pork Loin. Robata Shou: 03-6302-0827, B1F, Takara Building, 1-4-11 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. #Meatstagram #Looking to connect with those who love yakiniku #Looking to connect with those who love meat #Meat #Yakiniku #Japanese beef #Tabelog Top 100 Restaurants #Tokyo Gourmet #Tokyo Dinner #Izakaya #Looking to connect with those who love izakaya #Robatayaki #Robata Shou #Doing great #Dreams and gratitude #Shinjuku Gourmet #Shinjuku Izakaya #Shinjuku Dinner #SushiStagram #Sushi #Sushi #Sushi #SushiStagram #Looking to connect with those who love sushi #Looking to connect with those who love sushi #Sushi Account

I made a reservation online the day before, but the only available time slot was at the opening of the restaurant. When I visited at the opening, I ordered the following: - Assorted sashimi as a complimentary starter, with a rich and matured flavor. - Simmered winter melon and shrimp for 380 yen, with tender winter melon soaked in the savory shrimp flavor. - Chilled tomato for 580 yen, with a sweet tomato infused with bonito and other dashi flavors, topped with refreshing shiso leaves. - Potato salad for 580 yen, with a warm and chunky texture, including smoked duck and a hint of pepper. - Grilled red eggplant for 980 yen, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a delicious flavor of bonito flakes and dashi. - Grilled "Yoshitsugu" fish for 5980 yen, a rare and juicy fish with a perfect balance of fat. - Grilled "Soi" fish for 1980 yen, a firm and flavorful fish with just the right amount of fat. - Black bean cream cheese for 480 yen, a tasty combination of cream cheese and black bean flavor. - White peach daifuku with coconut ice cream for 680 yen, with a chewy texture, sweet white peach, and a strong coconut flavor in the ice cream. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would like to visit again. Thank you for the delicious food.

I finally got to visit a restaurant I've always wanted to go to! It's one of the few places in Shinjuku with a wonderful atmosphere. The taste, ambiance, and hospitality are all top-notch for this price range. The cheerful staff recommended delicious dishes, but the lemon and salt grilled eringi was particularly amazing! It was so crunchy, juicy, and delicious that I didn't want to interrupt the lively conversation. The main dish, a straw-grilled dish that they said would take 30-40 minutes, was luxurious with both fish and meat, but because we had ordered so many appetizers, we ended up feeling stuffed. We went as a pair, but I think going with 3-4 people would allow you to try a wider variety of dishes! It's best to make a reservation by phone, as they fill up quickly, but definitely give it a try - I want to go back again! (I took some random photos...)

I went to a farewell party at this restaurant and every dish was delicious. They had a wide variety of Japanese sake and the lineup was impressive. The staff was very hospitable and provided attentive service, making it a very enjoyable time. The only regret was that I couldn't take many pictures with colleagues such as my boss. As for the food, the assorted sashimi with namero for the appetizer was amazing. It was really tasty. The assorted appetizers, warm potato salad, grilled fish collar, and zucchini and tomato miso cheese bake were also delicious! The sake went down smoothly. It was a great gathering. Very satisfied.

I was looking for a delicious seafood restaurant and happened to come across this place through reviews! The phone service was great, so I decided to make a reservation right away. It's close to Shinjuku Station, but I had trouble finding the sign and ended up circling around the same area before finally spotting it haha. The interior of the restaurant has a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for adults to unwind. I was really hungry, so I ordered the recommended dishes: Thai salt-grilled eggplant, potato salad, salmon yukhoe, and oshinko fried rice. Everything was incredibly delicious, and I definitely want to come back for more! I ordered a lot more dishes, but I was too full and had to cancel some. So, I'm looking forward to trying the ones I missed next time!

This is my favorite izakaya I have ever been to! The staff is friendly and all the dishes with their special touch were delicious. I especially recommend the warm potato salad, it was amazing. You can add all-you-can-drink option for 1500 yen, and they have a great selection of sake for sake lovers! I visited on a weekday night and it was quickly packed, so reservations are a must!

I forgot to take a picture of the crucial stone sea bream aqua pazza. I turned the leftovers into a delicious risotto with cheese added. The staff always cheers when entering and leaving the restaurant, but I wish they wouldn't do that.

This is my second time visiting, but even with a map app, it's hard to find. It's located just off Aoyama-dori when coming from Seibu Shinjuku. You'll see a sign on the road with a lantern. You'll need to take off your shoes at the entrance, so watch out for holes in your socks! The lively atmosphere inside the restaurant is perfect for enjoying hearty robatayaki. There were quite a few foreigners dining as well. The first appetizer is a sashimi platter, so be aware. The main focus here is fish dishes, with the option to choose the type of fish and cooking method. It's best to go with 3 to 4 people. We ordered a potato salad as a starter this time, which was smoked and quite tasty. The menu mainly consists of fish dishes, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended for fish lovers.

I used the dinner time at a shoe-free restaurant with counter seats where you sit close to the person next to you. I ordered: assorted sashimi for appetizer, potato salad with pink pepper, salmon yukke, enoki mushrooms and cauliflower tempura, and truffle oil moon-viewing rice ball. All the dishes were amazingly delicious, especially recommended for long-term couples due to the many thoughtful touches in the restaurant.

Visited with 4 friends at night. The restaurant seems to be affiliated with a similar one on the ground level. The atmosphere inside was nice, but the service was lacking a bit as the staff seemed new and didn't explain the dishes well. The grilled dishes were delicious, but the prices were high, typical of Shinjuku. I wish they had more variety of sake. I would like to sit at the counter next time.

It was a really nice atmosphere at the restaurant! This time we visited with multiple people, so we sat at a table, but next time I want to try eating at the counter! The staff were all smiling and friendly, which was great! They explained the dishes in detail, which was helpful! The complimentary dish was a sashimi assortment! Every dish was delicious, so I want to go back again and take my time enjoying the food!

We visited on a holiday night with the "KinKi salt-grilled course (all-you-can-drink included) for 14000 yen for 2 people x 2". The atmosphere of the restaurant called "The Robatayaki" is fantastic. The friendly female chef adds a nice touch to the experience. The "KinKi salt-grilled course" includes a variety of dishes such as appetizers, sashimi, potato salad, grilled KinKi fish, edamame, grilled shiitake mushrooms, potato croquettes, grilled pork loin, and rice with tea. The standout dish is definitely the KinKi salt-grilled fish, which is a must-try and incredibly delicious. Overall, the course had some highlights and some low points, but it is still recommended as a great izakaya to visit.

The atmosphere was great, the staff were energetic and friendly, making it a comfortable place to be. The food was delicious, I ate so much but still had the rice porridge and grilled rice balls. There were many types of sake I had never seen before, which made it enjoyable! I definitely want to go back to this restaurant.

[Second Venue Use] We arrived at around 9:30 PM on Friday without a reservation and were seated at the counter (there are also table seats and semi-private rooms available). We ordered the following menu items: Appetizer/Sashimi Assortment (500 yen), Warm Potato Salad (580 yen), Herring Roe and Cucumber with Sesame Dressing (380 yen), Steamed Yodarekai (480 yen), Donko Shiitake Mushrooms (280 yen), Moon-viewing Grilled Rice Balls (580 yen), and Shoyo Pudding (530 yen). The sashimi assortment as the appetizer was a pleasant surprise. The portion sizes seemed a bit small, but the prices were quite reasonable. There were still many more dishes we wanted to try, but we were already full. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable, making us become fans of the place. A popular restaurant that lives up to its reputation!! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I finally visited this restaurant in Shinjuku that I've been wanting to go to for about 5 years. Despite the crowded atmosphere, the manager kindly allowed me to stand and dine at the entrance area where I could place a few plates. I was thrilled to finally enter the restaurant. First, I ordered the dishes I had been eyeing for a long time: - Assorted sashimi as an appetizer for only 500 yen per person. Isn't that amazing? - Warm potato salad that was simply irresistible. It was served hot and fresh with sour cream, Iburi Gakko, onions, and pink peppercorns, which complemented each other perfectly. - Kinoko mushrooms, a must-order for mushroom lovers. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, with a unique method of preparation that made them incredibly delicious. - Kazunoko and cucumber with sesame dressing, a refreshing dish that was perfect as a palate cleanser. - Tsukimi yaki onigiri, my favorite item on the menu. The grilled rice ball topped with egg yolk and black pepper was absolutely delightful. - Sho pudding, a rich and caramelized pudding that was a perfect way to end the meal. I had a great dining experience at Robata Sho and I can't wait to visit again to try more dishes. For more details and photos, please visit my blog. I always look forward to dining out as it fills me with excitement! Thank you for the wonderful meal, Robata Sho!

Yes! It might be the number one izakaya in Shinjuku. All the dishes are delicious. The zosui after aqua pazza is also amazing. We ate to our hearts' content, had 4 drinks, and it only cost 9000 yen. The cost performance is also good, and the staff's service is really nice. I don't like being approached, but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. A restaurant I want to visit seasonally.

The sashimi appetizer, grilled salted mackerel, and potato salad were delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, with tables like sunken kotatsu where you take off your shoes before sitting. The sashimi appetizer was tasty, and the potato salad was warm and delicious. The restaurant is a bit hard to find from the road, as you have to go down some stairs to enter.

I revisited #RobataSho, where I became a big fan after my first visit! I always get excited from the moment I descend the stairs and hear the cool music playing. When I enter the restaurant, I am greeted with enthusiasm and the fresh fish of the day welcomes me! I ate a lot, so I'll highlight a few dishes in my review. First, the luxurious assorted sashimi appetizer with 5 types. It's so extravagant that it's like saying, "Just drink this!" Each piece is fresh and delicious. The famous warm potato salad is a must-try. I'm not usually a fan of potato salad, but this one is different! The fluffy potatoes are mixed with vegetables, pickles, and even fish, making it the ultimate dish. Almost everyone orders this classic item, and I understand why. For the grilled fish, I chose the salt-grilled option, which is my favorite when there's a robata grill in front of me! The freshly grilled fish is perfectly seasoned with salt, juicy and delicious. I couldn't leave any behind and finished it all (see photo). The moon-viewing grilled rice ball is visually appealing with its beautiful egg yolk. The rich yolk matches perfectly with the fragrant grilled rice, and I love it! Why is the last dish always so delicious? In addition to the seasonal vegetables, I also enjoyed dishes like whole grilled new onions and tempura baby cabbage, savoring the seasonal flavors. I'm curious about the grilled meat, but I always end up choosing fish! The selection of shochu and sake is also impressive, sure to excite any alcohol lover. Personally, I love the easy-drinking quality of the shochu served here. The quality and hospitality that have kept this restaurant going for 10 years in Shinjuku are truly commendable. It must be tough to maintain, so I admire and still love this place. I received a boost of energy, so I'll do my best until I can visit again!笑

When you go down the stairs in the basement of a building near the intersection of the main street, you will arrive. You can enjoy truly delicious robatayaki in a relaxed atmosphere and at a reasonable price. The staff are also very friendly, making it a fun time. If you bring your foreign friends, they will be very happy!

The energetic staff greeted us warmly and explained the recommendations at the counter. We were served a complimentary sashimi platter. The grilled vegetables included lotus root, yam, and shiitake mushrooms, and they asked if we wanted to change the flavors, which was a thoughtful gesture. The turnip with yuzu miso was delicious and juicy. The assorted appetizer platter was satisfying in both portion size and taste. I particularly enjoyed the lily root with sesame dressing and the daikon and shiso with salted kelp ponzu. You can choose to have a whole fish prepared in various ways, but since the fish I wanted was not available, I tried the mixed cuts option and was surprised by the generous portion. The dessert of kumquat and walnut cream cheese was incredibly delicious. The grilled rice balls were also large and satisfying. Despite ordering too much due to hunger, everything was delicious. Thank you for the feast. I will definitely be back as everything was delicious.
