Last night, I visited a chicken restaurant in Hatanodai for the first time in a while. My second son asked me a while back, "If you were to eat chawanmushi, which one would you want to eat?" and I said, "I want to eat Toritsuki's chawanmushi!" So, he said he would treat me next time, and we went right away. The chawanmushi was absolutely delicious! Every morning, the master prepares young chicken, and it is grilled only when customers arrive, so there is no chicken smell, it is juicy, tender, and easy to eat. When you enter the restaurant, you can hear the energetic voice of the master welcoming you. When customers leave, he thanks each one individually. It really lifts your spirits. When it comes to yakitori, the mainstream method is to grill over charcoal, but here they use a gas grill. It reaches a high temperature of 960 degrees, but the heat can be adjusted. The biggest advantage is that it is not smoky and does not emit carbon dioxide, which is good for the environment. I also like charcoal-grilled yakitori, but I really like the juicy grilling here. And I love the master's seasoning. I don't like it too salty, and it's good to change the taste with shichimi. The appetizer of natto & quail, hot chicken broth soup, yakitori, chicken motsu stew, Toritsuki-style salad, chicken liver, extra-large grilled wings, extra-large grilled thighs, chawanmushi, chicken karaage, mizutaki, everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied with the delicious chicken dishes after a long time. The master is turning 76 this year, but he hasn't changed at all. Supported by a daughter who works efficiently, the master is happy. The young two staff members also have refreshing smiles. The Toritsuki Higashiguchi store is managed by the eldest son, and the Kamata store is managed by the second son, both of which are prosperous, which is great. The only downside is that it's a bit cramped, and behind the seat where my husband sat, there is a unisex toilet, but it's difficult to enter and exit because the large husband made it narrow, so sorry for those who use the toilet. Maybe it would have been better if the second son had sat there. (laughs) Thank you for the meal. Toritsuki, which has been around for 50 years. I hope the soon-to-be 77-year-old master can celebrate his 77th birthday grandly with regular customers. I will visit again. Oh, my second son at home, thank you for the meal. I always appreciate my filial son. It seems that work will be busy starting this month, but I will do my best to make sure that I don't cook the same dish as much as possible in my daily cooking.

Located in Hatanodai, Toriki is a specialty chicken restaurant. Their highly recommended dish is the crispy skin and juicy meat "Momo Tataki". In a cozy atmosphere, the "Liver Yaki" with a light flavor is also delicious. If you want to enjoy delicious chicken dishes along the Haginodai or Ikegami line, be sure to visit Toriki. You will definitely be able to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the chicken!

After graduating from university, I had a dinner with my colleagues from the first company I joined. It had been a year since we last met. We took turns organizing the dinner, and this time it was held near the house of the organizer, in Hatagaya. Normally, it would have been too far for me to go after work, but this time it was on a Saturday. One of the members couldn't make it on weekdays due to overtime work, so we decided on this location. I checked the restaurant on Tabelog and it had high ratings for yakitori. I was looking forward to it, so after watching rugby on TV, I traveled 1.5 hours from Chiba to get there. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived at 6 pm, as we had made a reservation. We were seated in a small raised area at the back. The organizer arrived and we started with large draft beers. The appetizers were natto, quail egg yolk, and soup. Everything was hot! We left the ordering to the organizer, and dishes kept coming one after another. They were indeed delicious, although I couldn't quite figure out why. Stewed dishes, chicken skin, yakitori... some members even tried to order more, but were turned down due to the popularity of the place. We kept eating. We also tried some off-menu items. Mimi? I couldn't quite hear. We drank sake and lemon sour. The conversation flowed, and before we knew it, it was already 9:30 pm. What? We had been talking and eating for 3 and a half hours? It was time to go home. The bill came, and surprisingly, after all the food and drinks, it was just a little over 5000 yen! When I got home at 9:30 pm, I realized that the evening had been fulfilling and enjoyable.

Tonight's dinner was at Toriki Honpo in Hatanodai. It's just 20 seconds from the east exit of Hatanodai Station on the Ikegami Line. It's the main branch of a very famous restaurant. It seems like they finally calmed down after appearing on a TV show last year. The restaurant was probably established in 1973 or 1974. The head chef started it when he was 26 years old. I've been to the Toriki branch in Kamata before, but I didn't realize it was a satellite store. Both Kamata and the east exit store in Hatanodai are run by the head chef's son. The head chef is 76 years old and will celebrate his 77th birthday this year. But he's still going strong. The lady next to me is also very friendly. It's nice! Today, I had a draft beer. Speaking of which, this beer glass was made for their 45th anniversary, and it's the only one that hasn't broken in 5 years. Lucky me! For the appetizer, we had natto with egg and tsukune. I switched to warm sake. By the way, this sake cup is huge! It's more than enough for a standard serving of one cup. Apparently, it's meant for tasting sake. We also had liver Toriki-style, salad, momo tataki, and another round of tsukune for some reason. The head chef seems to enjoy golf, and he's a member at my favorite golf course. I hope to play a round with him someday. The very friendly lady turned out to be the head chef's daughter! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Visited on a Saturday night after making a reservation. Despite being right in front of the Hatanodai Station East Exit, I ended up getting lost by taking a wrong turn while looking at the map haha. Maybe if I had just looked up while walking after leaving the station, I would have found it quickly. The bustling interior was full of customers! The back area had sunken kotatsu-style seating, making it comfortable for the legs. The restaurant was packed and the seating was tight, so it was a bit of a challenge to navigate through. There was only one restroom. There were table seats nearby, so opening the door was also a bit difficult. Started off with a complimentary dish (natto with raw egg) and chicken soup. The soup was piping hot and really warmed me up. Prices ranged from 500-600 yen per dish, a large draft beer was 610 yen, shochu on the rocks was 430 yen, and a sour was 400 yen. The specialty extra-large chicken thigh meat was 1,230 yen. It was in the shape of a Christmas tree and was cut up when served. The chicken tenderloin was incredibly moist and tender, and the flavor was refreshing. The chicken cartilage was also very tender. By the way, where is the calf muscle on a chicken...? Was there even a calf muscle on chicken legs? The chicken thigh meat was so delicious that I decided to get one to take home for my family. It takes a while to cook, so I recommend ordering it in advance. With each of us having 3 sours and eating to our hearts' content, the total bill for two people was around 3,700 yen, which was quite cost-effective. The staff at the restaurant were also very friendly and had a great vibe. Thank you for the wonderful meal! Would definitely love to visit again!

After many years, I visited this popular, long-established restaurant known for its delicious chicken dishes. I was impressed by the lively atmosphere and the tasty variety of dishes. It's no wonder it's so popular, and I want to keep coming back even if it's far away. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The hot summer made the grilling area look quite hot, but the counter seats were quite exciting. It felt like a small neighborhood yakitori shop, with a narrow interior but grilling chicken thighs on a large grill. A must-visit place for yakitori lovers. Even though they were out of heart, they suggested another part and it was interesting to see the master cutting and preparing the chicken. It had a friendly atmosphere with many regular customers, but they were also welcoming to first-time solo customers and recommended dishes. The greeting of "Welcome, thank you for coming" from the master was also pleasant!

Next up is here. The restaurant is almost full as it is loved by the local community! The staff are very friendly, and I couldn't help but smile along (*´꒳`*) It's a wonderful place! I wanted to eat a lot, but I was already reaching my limit, so I only ordered something light, but then they gave me a soup as a service (*´¨`*) I'm sorry.. Thank you very much! I will make sure to leave some room in my stomach for my next visit m(_ _)m I was too drunk and forgot to take a photo, but the chicken gizzards were delicious ⤴︎︎

I learned about this place about 10 years ago from the late Anthony Bourdain, a former American chef and the No. 1 popular host of a cooking and travel show. I had always wanted to visit, but I wasn't a big fan of yakitori, so I had never been until recently when I suddenly had a craving for chicken. I decided to try my luck and called for a reservation about an hour before visiting, and luckily, I was able to get a reservation. The restaurant is just a 20-second walk from the Hatanodai Station East Exit. The interior of the restaurant looked quite spacious on TV, but I was surprised to find it relatively small. We were seated in a tatami room and looked at the menu. I wanted to try the fried chicken, but it wasn't available at the time, so I ended up ordering the following: - Fukurahagi: It was grilled on an electric grill, so it lacked the smoky charcoal flavor, and the salt was unevenly distributed, with some parts having too much and others having none at all. I ended up eating it with soy sauce. - Momotataki: I tried this with the sauce, but the sauce lacked flavor and was quite bland. - Nimono: It was light and tasty, just average. - Toriju Salad: A salad with shredded daikon as the main ingredient. You can choose between a Chinese or sesame dressing. It was pretty standard. - Oshinko: Average pickles. It's been a while since I've had grilled chicken that wasn't cooked over charcoal, and it's clear that the quality is not as good as charcoal-grilled yakitori. Since they use young chicken, the lack of flavor is more noticeable when cooked on an electric grill, and there was no discernible difference in taste between the different cuts of meat. However, it is a popular spot among the locals near Hatanodai, so it will continue to be loved by the community. Thank you for the meal.

A shop that was always full and hard to get into, but I was curious about. It's a chicken specialty shop, different from the image of a yakitori restaurant. The friendly master and delicious chicken dishes. The chawanmushi was exquisite, made with chicken soup base, a taste I had never experienced before. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I went to a popular yakitori restaurant in Hatagaya where they serve delicious yakitori made from a whole chicken. I ordered a bottle of Kirin beer to start and it really quenched my thirst on a hot day. The tataki they recommended was excellent!

It's not the same yakitori restaurant as Toriki in Kinshicho, but I heard good things about Toriju here so I decided to try it out. There are three Toriju locations: the main store in Hatanodai, the Higashiguchi store, and the Kamata store. This is the main store. The main store is run by the father, the Higashiguchi store by the eldest son, and the Kamata store by the second son. The ratings on Tabelog are high, with scores of 3.58, 3.54, and 3.65 respectively. On Retty, they are popular with 1 star, 1 star, and 3 stars. Is there a reason why the Kamata store stands out? The location is just a 1-minute walk from Hatanodai Station, right outside the station. I arrived at the restaurant around 8:15 PM after moving from the Higashiguchi store. The restaurant was almost full, but luckily there was a table available. It seems like mostly locals frequent this place. It's a restaurant loved by the community. Despite its Showa-era vibe, there were a lot of young people, which was interesting. They butcher the chickens that were raised in the morning right in front of you, one by one. The chickens are young but relatively large in size, as they are raised for a slightly longer period. I've eaten at the Higashiguchi store before, but the food was so good that I couldn't resist trying it here as well. I lost count of how many cups of hot sake I had. I even moved to the counter seats and had a great time chatting with the father and the regular customers next to me, staying until just before the last train at 12:30 AM. The bill came out to around 4000 yen. Even though it was the second stop of the night, we drank quite a bit, so my stomach was full. Normally, a meal at one place would cost around 5000 yen. It was a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. Here's what I ordered: Vegetable salad, Grilled chicken skin, Extra-large chicken wings, Chicken balls, Chicken tail, and numerous cups of hot sake.

I was taken to a yakitori restaurant with a red lantern on the left side straight ahead after exiting the east exit of the Flagstaion station, and I had a blissful time. When I entered in the evening, about 80% of the restaurant was full, and yet more and more customers kept coming in. The appetizer was a small portion of natto with quail egg on top, served with warm daikon. It was nice to warm up in this cold weather. First, I tried the recommended yakitori for 580 yen and the grilled chicken skewers. The yakitori was different from what I had imagined, with 5 skewers for 580 yen. The combination of negi (green onion), thigh meat, skin, skin, and negi on the skewers was a great deal. The saltiness was just right and the meat was tender. Even though it was a counter seat, the chef would cut and grill the chicken right on the spot as soon as an order was placed, except for the organ meat and skewered items. It was no wonder the food was fresh and delicious. In particular, the grilled thigh meat, called "momo yaki," was incredibly tasty. I finished off with a chawanmushi (savory egg custard) and left fully satisfied. I definitely want to go back on my own next time.

I visited Torikimoto main store for the first time in 8 years. I used to avoid this location because it was difficult to get to from my workplace, and I was satisfied with the delicious food at the Kamata store. However, when I visited the Kamata store last year, I was disappointed to see a decline in service and quality due to a mass exodus of chefs. That's why I decided to try the main store again. They serve Sapporo beer in large or small sizes, but no medium size. They have fried chicken, but it's pre-seasoned unlike the white fried chicken at the Kamata store, which is actually tempura. The menu is different, and even the natto appetizer and chicken soup are completely different from the Kamata store. It seems like the two locations may have different management. I tried various chicken dishes at the main store, all of which were tender, juicy, and delicious. The main store offers a variety of sauces, which are also delicious. I drank five green tea highballs because I had too much to drink the night before. Be careful not to drink too much! I'm starting to think about visiting the Kamata store again, but I'm worried because there are only two chefs inside the counter as usual. What should I do?

On Thursday night, feeling like a noble. That's why I visited "Toriju Hatanodai Honmten". It's a popular restaurant, so I made a reservation before going. Let's start with a toast with beer. Drinking beer on a Thursday night is the best. However, the appetizer was spoiled beans, which was a downside. Moving on, we ordered various types of chicken. The freshly squeezed chicken was juicy and delicious. We were also able to order a tomato dish that was not on the menu, which was a nice touch. If I have the chance next time, I would love to experience a Renaissance in a noble atmosphere.

The local atmosphere, generous owner-run yakitori restaurant. I wish there was a yakitori restaurant like this in my hometown. I made a reservation but it was fully booked. It was crowded. I don't mind that kind of atmosphere! Taste: The hot soup served as an appetizer is full of chicken broth and very comforting. It really warms you up. It's interesting that they serve natto. Instead of coming on skewers, the chicken pieces are served scattered on a plate, which is a bit different! They are tender but satisfying to eat. The portion size of each piece is quite generous, maybe that's why? Personally, I often make minced chicken rice bowl at home, but it tasted completely different and delicious here. Having that as the last dish is the best. Service: The owner talked to us at the end and he was very generous and kind. He passionately talked about the good points of the area. Atmosphere: It's a small, traditional restaurant with red lanterns. The seats are very close to each other. Cost performance: When you order one dish, the portion is quite generous, so even if you order a lot, it doesn't get too expensive! Drinks: I used to think that red lantern-style restaurants have a limited drink selection, but they actually have a variety of options!

I visited the restaurant with two former colleagues I used to work with. The restaurant lived up to its reputation. We met at 7:30 and before we knew it, it was already 12 o'clock. It's a place that makes you forget about time. After a draft beer, I had a few glasses of green tea highball, which were strong and very satisfying. Of course, it paired perfectly with the chicken dishes.

I apologize for the photo of half-eaten food, but my father was interested and we visited this restaurant as a family. The chicken specialty restaurant was indeed delicious. As far as I remember, we ordered beer (small), highball, chicken salad, pickled vegetables, grilled chicken, grilled liver, fried chicken, chicken breast with grated daikon, chicken sashimi, simmered dish, and a secret menu. The chicken wings were cheap, had a good portion size, and were delicious. No complaints at all. The beer was served in a small size, which was about the same as a regular medium-sized glass. We will definitely make a reservation and visit again!

[Location] 1 minute walk from Kinshicho Station [Date/Time/Queue] November 21, 2018 (Wednesday) 22:15 No queue [Food/Price] Extra-large grilled chicken wings, grilled chicken liver, chawanmushi x2, lemon sour, shiso sour, total for 2 people 6,680 yen (including tax) [Impression] A yakitori restaurant located in front of Kinshicho Station. I have been to their branch in Kamata before, and I happened to see it on TV last week so I wanted to visit. Similar to Kamata, this restaurant focuses on chicken. The hot chicken soup and natto served as appetizers were delicious. The chawanmushi had a rich chicken broth flavor, which was very good. Overall, the taste of the chicken used in the dishes showed that they use high-quality ingredients. Everything I tried was delicious. It was just unfortunate that their specialty grilled chicken thigh was sold out. I recommend this restaurant for those who love chicken.
