Last night, I visited a chicken restaurant in Hatanodai for the first time in a while. My second son asked me a while back, "If you were to eat chawanmushi, which one would you want to eat?" and I said, "I want to eat Toritsuki's chawanmushi!" So, he said he would treat me next time, and we went right away. The chawanmushi was absolutely delicious! Every morning, the master prepares young chicken, and it is grilled only when customers arrive, so there is no chicken smell, it is juicy, tender, and easy to eat. When you enter the restaurant, you can hear the energetic voice of the master welcoming you. When customers leave, he thanks each one individually. It really lifts your spirits. When it comes to yakitori, the mainstream method is to grill over charcoal, but here they use a gas grill. It reaches a high temperature of 960 degrees, but the heat can be adjusted. The biggest advantage is that it is not smoky and does not emit carbon dioxide, which is good for the environment. I also like charcoal-grilled yakitori, but I really like the juicy grilling here. And I love the master's seasoning. I don't like it too salty, and it's good to change the taste with shichimi. The appetizer of natto & quail, hot chicken broth soup, yakitori, chicken motsu stew, Toritsuki-style salad, chicken liver, extra-large grilled wings, extra-large grilled thighs, chawanmushi, chicken karaage, mizutaki, everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied with the delicious chicken dishes after a long time. The master is turning 76 this year, but he hasn't changed at all. Supported by a daughter who works efficiently, the master is happy. The young two staff members also have refreshing smiles. The Toritsuki Higashiguchi store is managed by the eldest son, and the Kamata store is managed by the second son, both of which are prosperous, which is great. The only downside is that it's a bit cramped, and behind the seat where my husband sat, there is a unisex toilet, but it's difficult to enter and exit because the large husband made it narrow, so sorry for those who use the toilet. Maybe it would have been better if the second son had sat there. (laughs) Thank you for the meal. Toritsuki, which has been around for 50 years. I hope the soon-to-be 77-year-old master can celebrate his 77th birthday grandly with regular customers. I will visit again. Oh, my second son at home, thank you for the meal. I always appreciate my filial son. It seems that work will be busy starting this month, but I will do my best to make sure that I don't cook the same dish as much as possible in my daily cooking.
