In February 2022, dinner was at a restaurant in Ginza. Getting off at Ginza-itchome Station on the Tokyo Metro, I walked out of Exit 7 and found myself right in front of the "POLA Building" along "Chuo Street". I took the elevator up to the 7th floor and found the restaurant I was looking for that day, called "Li Jia Cai". This restaurant offers delicate and elegant dishes that were served in the Qing Dynasty's imperial court, known for their nourishing and longevity benefits. The menu, created by Li Zijia and his team, focuses on balancing the five flavors and using seasonal ingredients to create exquisite and elegant dishes. The special course I had that day, named "Unity of All Things", was offered at a half-price special of 25,000 yen and included fifteen appetizers. Each dish had a unique story behind it, such as the "Jade Tofu" loved by Empress Dowager Cixi, the "Spicy Beef" created by Li Zijia, and the "Fried Lotus Root" enjoyed by Empress Dowager Cixi at the Summer Palace. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making the dining experience truly memorable.

As someone who values beauty, health, and longevity, I was curious about this restaurant but hesitated to visit due to the interior decor. However, I finally had the opportunity to try their lunch menu. The restaurant prides itself on serving "longevity food" that is gentle on the body and promotes beauty from within, without the use of any food additives. The concept is based on dishes favored by the Empress Dowager Cixi of China, making it a unique and rare find. The restaurant was bustling with mostly female customers, and I was seated at a large round table. I ordered a Qingdao IPA and eagerly awaited the dishes, including the highly anticipated dessert "Sanfunian" which is said to be so difficult to make that only two people in China can prepare it. The appetizer course consisted of 10 dishes, each light and elegant with subtle flavors. The standout was the braised pork belly, bursting with rich flavors. The main course included dishes like sweet and sour stir-fried lobster and braised premium pork served with freshly steamed rice rolls. The meal ended with a delicate bird's nest soup and a delicious dessert of "Sanfunian" which had a custard-like texture and a hint of sweetness. The service was polite and attentive, although the staff seemed a bit robotic and rehearsed in their explanations. Overall, I enjoyed the valuable and relatively affordable dining experience in Ginza. It was a delightful time spent. Thank you for the meal!

I went for afternoon tea. They offer 4 types of Chinese tea, grape juice (red and white), and iced jasmine tea to choose from. You can change glasses as much as you want. The portion was just right. The interior of the shop is cute. It feels a bit difficult to talk in a loud voice. It has an elegant atmosphere. ^^

I used a 10,000 yen course for a birthday lunch. The 10 appetizers were colorful and visually appealing. The interior of the restaurant was cute as shown in the photos. The taste was on the light side, probably due to its health-conscious nature. However, dishes like stir-fried spiny lobster and meat had too much oil, which was disappointing. It's suitable for those who just want to take photos, but in terms of taste, it's not worth the cost so I won't be returning. Also, because there are many dishes to photograph, it's impossible to finish eating within the 2-hour time limit, making it difficult for those who prefer to eat slowly. I couldn't relax as I ended up causing inconvenience to the restaurant. The staff were attentive and provided detailed explanations about the dishes, but overall it was disappointing. It makes sense why it was empty for Sunday lunch. We ordered Chinese tea and the total for 4 people was around 59,000 yen. We also tried a tea tasting set with 4 different types for 4,500 yen, but since it couldn't be shared, I enjoyed it by myself.

I had dinner at Lijia Cai ❤️ We were treated to a course of imperial cuisine. It was a very precious time. For drinks, we had a course of 6 different selections, and I had Shaoxing wine for the first time in a while. It was smooth and fragrant without any roughness. It was delicious. The food was also delicious. Thank you for the feast ♪

Cuisine and drink pairing for around 10,000 yen. Perfect for a celebration. The restaurant serves imperial Chinese cuisine that is delicate and delicious, not the typical heavy and greasy Chinese food. It is recommended to dress in a casual yet slightly formal style.

I visited the restaurant REIKASAI GINZA, which is one of the top 100 Chinese cuisine restaurants. For dinner, I wanted something hearty, so I chose a lunch course themed around beauty and health, said to be loved by Empress Dowager Cixi. The appetizers included 9 varieties such as edamame, tofu, carrots, shrimp spring rolls, three-layer pork with cucumber, spicy grilled beef, eggplant with soybeans. The dish of large shrimp with the aroma of Shaoxing wine was delicious, with a nice texture. The shark fin rice was also very tasty. The dessert consisted of agar jelly and yogurt, which was like almond jelly in the name of yogurt. The dessert called "San Fou Nian" was a challenge to make, but had a great texture and flavor. Overall, the meal was delicious, and even though I initially thought the portions were small, I ended up feeling full. Next time, I will try their Chinese tea. Thank you for the souvenir at the end. #Chinese cuisine #Ginza gourmet #Top 100 restaurants #Chinese top 100 restaurants #Dishes loved by Empress Dowager Cixi #Imperial cuisine #San Fou Nian #Challenging dessert to make #Only a few people can make it in the world #Shark fin #Delicious #Shaoxing wine

I used it for lunch. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, giving the impression that it is clearly targeted towards women. It seems to be designed as a semi-private room, with a strong booth-like feel and distant neighboring seats, allowing for conversation without worrying about the surroundings (although it is quiet so be mindful of your voice). I was looking forward to the shark fin rice, but the unexpectedly large and juicy shrimp was exquisite! It felt like eating a leisurely and easily digestible Chinese meal, with a satisfying feeling but not overwhelming, and the portion was just right.

A Chinese-inspired but not traditional Chinese cuisine restaurant. It's a favorite spot for girls' gatherings because you can enjoy healthy Chinese dishes. Prices are a bit high at night, but they offer a reasonable lunch menu. I had a girls' gathering here again this day♪ It's recommended to request a window seat when making a reservation for easy photo-taking opportunities. ♡

I had the lunch course. There were 10 appetizers, all made with healthy ingredients, and I felt like I was treating myself well while enjoying them. It was fun to compare and choose from the menu listing all the appetizers. The main dish was stir-fried shrimp with Shaoxing wine. The sweet and salty sauce went well with the plump shrimp and was delicious. There was also osmanthus wine available, which I enjoyed mixed with soda, and it paired well with the food. The shark fin rice had a jelly-like texture and I wanted to eat more of it. As it is a royal cuisine, there were many dishes served rather than each dish being large. For dessert, I also tried the famous "Three Non-Stick" separately from the course. It has a unique taste (not bad but not incredibly delicious either), and it could be a fun conversation starter to try it. The interior is lovely, so I think it would be great for a girls' night out.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was bright and unified in blue color, with large chairs positioned semi-privately, creating a relaxing space for dining. The seating arrangement allowed for conversation while enjoying the meal. We had the lunch course with Peking duck, and every dish was delicious. Opting for the pairing drink was the right choice as we could enjoy various types of alcohol. Starting with champagne, then red wine, white wine, and even a tasting of Chinese liquor aged 5, 12, and 20 years.

I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend a few months ago. It serves Qing Dynasty imperial cuisine. The taste was excellent, and the dessert called "San Bu Zhan" was truly delicious. The price is not cheap, but considering it is imperial cuisine, it is understandable. I recommend trying it at least once in a lifetime. However, I feel like the menu hasn't changed much in years. Since the imperial court no longer exists, it must be difficult to create new dishes.

The dishes were carefully prepared, visually appealing, and tastefully seasoned. The interior of the restaurant had soft tones that would appeal to women. The staff explained the dishes in a polite manner. I thought the portion sizes were slightly large, but that was okay. It was a bit disappointing that there weren't many options for drinks. Overall, I look forward to future improvements. Thank you for the meal.

On my mother's birthday, my sister and I visited a restaurant where there were 10 types of appetizers, all of which were healthy. The staff provided detailed explanations, which was very informative. For the main course, there were 3 options, with the lobster being juicy and delicious, and the braised pork being tender. The shark fin rice didn't have much shark fin flavor, and the bird's nest soup tasted like flavored water, which was not very impressive. The dessert was also healthy but not very satisfying. The restaurant was not busy even though it was a Sunday night in Ginza. Besides our family, there was only one other group who left before us. Considering the cost and overall experience, I wonder what kind of customers this restaurant appeals to. The service was attentive and detailed in their explanations.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy Qing Dynasty court cuisine. The main branch is located in Beijing, and they have a branch in Ginza, Japan. The dishes are all light and seem to be good for the body. The most delicious dishes were the herb-fried pork, cod, emerald tofu, and Sanbutian (Three Non-Stick).

Today, I went to a Chinese restaurant in Ginza called Chez Tomo, located in the Pola Building, which is also selected as one of the top 100 restaurants. The nearest station is Ginza-itchome Station. REIKASAI GINZA has also been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants and has a Michelin one-star award. The appetizers were luxurious with fifteen varieties, making a big impression. The main dish featured decorated lobster, making another impressive presentation. What really caught my attention was the sea cucumber. It is the highest quality sea cucumber from Hokkaido, and guess what? It was served whole, as sea cucumber sashimi! This was a big surprise and it was delicious! I highly recommend trying it. The dessert was also very delicious. Thank you for the meal! It was a very worthwhile gourmet experience!

"REIKASAI GINZA" is a restaurant where you can enjoy cuisine from the Qing Dynasty in China, located in a prime location on the 9th floor of the Pola Ginza Building, just a short walk from Ginza-itchome Station. I made a reservation on the day before during the end of Golden Week through Tabelog. I opted for the Web-exclusive Lunch B Course (10 appetizers, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts) for 6,000 yen, and added Sanpucan (a type of alcoholic drink) for 1,100 yen. The interior of the restaurant had a slight sense of luxury, and the seating on the sofa was in a relaxed atmosphere. The service and food service were sophisticatedly coordinated by two staff members. The 10 appetizers each had their own unique characteristics, and it was enjoyable to try a little of each. The aroma of the sautéed large prawns with Shaoxing wine in the main dish was exquisite, with the firm texture of the prawns and the elegant sweetness of the sauce. The premium shark fin rice dish was also delicious. For dessert, I had Sanpucan, a confectionery said to be a phantom. It is made from corn, and its simple taste and chewy texture were elegant. It is said that it was eaten by the Chinese emperor at celebratory occasions, giving it a historical feel. The lunch was quite cost-effective and I was very satisfied with the restaurant. I would like to revisit for dinner next time.

I made a reservation for Sunday lunch. The interior of the restaurant had Tiffany blue chairs, which were very cute. There were many women. The food was all very healthy and delicious. I thought if I ate this food every day, I would become very healthy and lose weight. The San Pellegrino I added for dessert didn't mix at all, so it was funny. The staff's explanations were also polite, and I had a good time. Thank you for the meal.

NEW!! "Web reservation limited (limited quantity) 6,600 yen lunch course B" includes 10 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and 2 desserts. A special course selected by Tabelog. This is a healthy meal that Empress Dowager Cixi used to eat. The portion size is small, but it is prepared with care and skill. Definitely worth trying. It is a typical Chinese meal, so those expecting a large portion may be disappointed.
