The Peace Street shopping street in Musashi-Koyama, where our shop is located, is an old shopping street in my hometown. In the past, the Peace Street shopping street was known as "Gekko-cho" and was beloved by the locals. It used to be a lively shopping street, often compared to the Musashi-Koyama Palm (although it wasn't called Palm back then). However, over time, while the Palm implemented various new initiatives to survive, the decline of the Peace Street shopping street became evident. Now, Peace Street has become a quiet, shuttered shopping street. Despite this decline, there are still some highly-rated eateries like "Napoli Pizza Pizzeria la Rossa" and "Sakanomi to Sumi Teriya" in the area. Our shop opened in April 2019 in this struggling shopping street. The location of our shop used to house an Italian restaurant called "LH TABLE" in the past. Since then, it has seen various changes, and now our shop has been operating there since April 2019. The interior of our shop is small with only 9 counter seats. The menu is simple, offering dishes like the kenohi set meal, homemade keema curry, and a daily special rice dish, all priced at 1,000 yen each. I ordered the kenohi set meal, which was served with various side dishes. The meal was served promptly, and the overall experience was pleasant.

A cute cafe located a short walk from Musashi-Koyama Station. They serve vegetable-based set meals, curry, French toast, and pudding, with today's snack options written on a blackboard. You can relax and pass the time reading books available in the shop. Today's snack is "Strawberry Sauce Pudding" - the refreshing acidity of the strawberry sauce pairs well with the sweetness of the soft pudding. I'd like to try their set meal next time.

The small restaurant has two 2-person tables and a counter with 5-6 seats. It seems more suited for solo diners than groups. The atmosphere is quiet and they pay attention to the decor and ambiance. The food is gentle in flavor, vegetable-focused, and seems good for your health. I ordered a half portion of cheesecake and coffee. The cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness and was really good. The coffee for 500 yen was a bit expensive. I preferred the hot coffee from Fufu Coffee, it was tastier.

Half Chiffon Cake for ¥250. It comes with Earl Grey chiffon cake, whipped cream, and praline. Despite being only ¥250, it came in a paper box with a paper bag - the hospitality is amazing! The chiffon cake is fluffy and slightly sweet, with a strong Earl Grey flavor. The whipped cream is lightly sweet and airy, just melts in your mouth. The praline is slightly bitter and crunchy, not too sweet. The staff's service was great too. I'm thinking of coming back to sit in and enjoy the food leisurely next time.

I visited a bakery that set up a stall on a quiet street in Musashi-Koyama on a day when Keno-hi-san was closed. They offer a morning set for eating in, or you can also get their baked goods to go. I got a coffee and a scone to go. The scone was crispy and had a simple flavor that wasn't too bland. It paired well with the morning coffee and was a great start to the day.

Blog "Tokyu Line, Food Walking" https://asante.blog/ ---- After finishing a Margherita at Seirinkan in Nakameguro, I decided to take a walk towards Musashikoyama to get some exercise. It was a scorching hot day, so walking was a mistake... I searched for a cafe along the way and found refuge here. Upon entering the shop, the staff explained, "This shop is very strict about rules," and proceeded to explain the rules. It didn't bother me as these rules were meant to create a comfortable space. I usually order hot coffee, but due to the intense heat, I asked for a Ginger Soda Mix for 500 yen (tax included). I realized there was no water served, seems like it's self-service. The Ginger Soda Mix that arrived was refreshing with a generous amount of ginger. The mint garnish added a cool touch. The clear ice was a nice touch too. The place was empty that day, so I was able to relax without any issues with the rules. Thank you for the meal.

Musashi-Koyama Station was unfamiliar to me, so I had no idea where to go. While looking for a cafe to pass the time, I stumbled upon a small cafe. There were only two customers inside. One was working on a laptop, and the other was engaged in a lively conversation with the owner. I ordered a hot milk tea, or maybe it was chai. After a short wait, I received a generous serving of hot chai. It was delicious. But what stood out the most was the pleasant atmosphere of this cafe. I wanted to relax and enjoy my time there.

The snacks and dishes you can enjoy here are all delicious! The An Butter Toast with homemade red bean paste is generously filled with red bean paste, but it's surprisingly light (it may sound contradictory, but you'll only understand once you try it! You should definitely try it!). The seasonal snacks, daily set meals, curry, and Napolitan, all cooked by the popular owner Hikaru, are very tasty ✨ And the cozy atmosphere of the shop, which reflects Hikaru's personality, is so inviting ✨ It's no wonder people gather here ☺️

A great cafe for everyday use♪ In front of Musashi-Koyama Station, there is one of the biggest and most lively shopping streets in Tokyo. However, there is also the "Heiwa-dori Shopping Street" a little away from the station. This area, centered around Futaba Food Center, retains the atmosphere of the Showa era from the 1930s to 1940s. But there are also modern cafes like this one♪ The name "Kenohi" means "ordinary day," the opposite of a festive or celebratory day. They offer a "Kenohi Blend Hot" for 500 yen, freshly ground and hand-dripped after ordering. It has a medium-dark roast with a rich flavor. The smooth bitterness, deep roasted sweetness, and slight oiliness make it delicious. The round mouthfeel might be from a Nel drip method. As it cools, a subtle acidity adds depth to the flavor without any off-notes. The homemade pound cake for 300 yen is plain but reheated in a high-end toaster for a warm, crispy, and flavorful experience. A simple pound cake can be so delicious with just a little extra effort! Overall, this place offers chic treats and tasty coffee for everyday enjoyment, making it a top choice for regular visits. Definitely worth a repeat visit, provisional rating of 4.2 stars♪

Musashi-Koyama Station is a 7-8 minute walk away. A cute cafe with white and green decor. First in line when it opens. The interior has 2 window seats, 6 counter seats by the wall, and a couple of table seats. French Toast for 550 yen (tax included) and Honey Lemon & Ginger/Soda for 500 yen (tax included) were ordered. The French Toast takes some time to prepare as they make it after the order is placed. The drinks are also served at the same time, so there is a short wait. During this time, several customers, who seem to be locals, arrive one after another. The French Toast, with plenty of cinnamon and ice cream, was delicious and hot. It was irresistible for cinnamon lovers! The not too sweet Honey Lemon & Ginger was also refreshing and tasty. The cafe has only been open for a month, but it has a cozy atmosphere with local regulars like elderly gentlemen and fathers with children. The breakfast menu also looked delicious, so I would like to visit again.

A cafe has opened in a small shopping street a short walk from Musashi-Koyama Station towards Gakugei University. I found this place while checking out new openings on Tabelog. I decided to visit it right away. It seems to be located where "Nagi Shokudo" used to be about 3 years ago. They have counter seats which are convenient for solo diners. There are small safes with keys placed on the counter, and it turns out they are for storing smartphones. A clever idea for those who tend to fiddle with their phones. I ordered a "Chai" for 600 yen (tax included) and a "Caramel Banana Muffin" for 350 or 300 yen, I forgot. The muffin was warmed up and had a nice bitter caramel flavor with just the right amount of sweetness, making it deliciously moist. The Chai was of the unsweetened type, allowing you to adjust the sweetness to your liking. I had it as it was. The young owner has a calm and gentle demeanor, which reflects in the cozy atmosphere of the cafe. I definitely want to visit this place again.

A new cafe and dining establishment opened in the neighborhood. Despite the trend of cafes and bars, I appreciate their bold decision to call themselves a "coffee shop." They also serve meals, so I decided to stop by for dessert after finishing my meal. The dessert menu had muffins and pudding, and since they were running out, I ended up ordering both. For my drink, I tried their recommended herb cordial, which is a drink made from herb-infused syrup. They had about six flavors, and I chose the lemongrass-based one, which was refreshing and mildly sweet, a perfect match for the sweets. The caramel banana muffin was moist and fragrant, with caramelized bananas generously mixed in. The taste was just right, not too sweet, made with quality ingredients. The highlight was the pudding, made with rich cream and topped with strawberry sauce, creating a perfect balance of creaminess and fruity sweetness. I also learned that they use coffee beans from a well-known roaster in Sangenjaya. The concept of the shop, named "kenohi," meaning "everyday," emphasizes the importance of cherishing daily life. The owner, in his 20s, left his job to start this business, and I wish him success. The service and food were excellent, and I look forward to dining there again. They also offer a variety of alcoholic beverages, and I found their logo character, whom I named "Kenopi-kun," adorable. I am concerned about their one-person operation during busy times, but overall, I had a great experience and will definitely return for a meal or drinks.

A solo coffee shop. It was quiet and I was comforted by the gentle warmth of the stove. The toast and coffee were delicious! It was a relaxing time after a long time. I wish it was closer so I could go every day.

Kenohi, revisited. I saw a pumpkin cake on Instagram and hoped they would have it, but they didn't. I ordered the "Pound Cake" for 300 yen (tax included) and the "Rum Chai" for 600 yen (tax included). The Rum Chai had a nice hint of rum without being too strong. It was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness.
