I was invited by a friend who has a close relationship with the head chef and their family to visit their restaurant. Last time we met, it was at the main store, so I was surprised to see this stylish new branch tucked away in a side street. I didn't realize it was a branch of the main restaurant, as I don't usually frequent high-end establishments. It had been a while since we last met, so I was trying to keep up with the conversation and forgot to take any photos. We had a rare chicken sashimi dish as a starter, along with various skewers, liver, chicken wings, quail eggs, thick omelette, sweet potato with butter, and grilled corn. We also had two glasses of draft beer and were quite full by the end. I heard that their pigeon soup ochazuke is delicious, but unfortunately, we didn't have room to try it. They also have a limited quantity of French pigeon meat, but personally, I'm glad we didn't order it as I have a simple palate. That's my review as a budget-conscious diner.

The main store nearby was full, so I went to the branch. Even at 17:30 on a weekday, the white wooden counter was full. The dishes that came out were not only chicken, but also vegetables, cooked with great care to bring out a subtle flavor. The kumquats were also perfectly prepared, with a crisp texture and no unpleasant odor.

There are two options to choose from: leave it to the chef or choose yourself. I chose the option to choose myself. Although there are no prices listed, I felt a bit anxious, but dining alone was quick and cost-effective. It cost 4,500 yen. Reservations are not accepted, so if you go early, you should be able to get a seat. Among the dishes I tried, the sabi-yaki (grilled mackerel with grated daikon radish) left a lasting impression.

This time, I was guided to a seat at the back. First, I ordered a beer. Then, I asked for a bottle of shochu with water as a set. Surrounded by the fragrant smoke, it was a blissful time enjoying delicious yakitori while chatting with the chef. It was the best! I will visit again soon. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for dinner. I arrived at 15:55, 5 minutes before opening, and there was no line. It was my first visit, so I asked for the chef's choice, and every skewer was cooked perfectly and very delicious. Although I asked for the chef's choice, I also ordered young corn and liver, both of which were excellent. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited after a long time and as always, it was delicious. I ordered a French quail, which was thick and had firmer meat compared to chicken wings. I also had dishes like lantern, okra, chigimo, and shiratama. Since they opened a new branch, it has become easier to get a table, which is convenient. Although there are more yakitori places in the area, Toriyoshi is still my favorite and I will definitely go back again.

The price of yakitori is not listed on the menu, but you can choose to order omakase or make a request. The vegetables and chicken were all delicious and you could feel the attention to detail. There were also families with children in the restaurant, creating a friendly atmosphere. The staff's service and customer service were excellent, and you could feel their professionalism. We had 3 drinks and ate 15 skewers of yakitori for ¥11,000. I would love to go back again.

The stable bird Yoshii! This is my third time at the branch. To be honest, I find the branch slightly more calming than the main store. The seating is a bit more spacious, maybe that's why... The taste is absolutely the same as the main store, but the interior is newer. The branch has box seats in addition to the counter, which is a unique feature. It might be nice for families to get a box seat.

I was able to enter just in time when the store opened on Sunday! I had dashimaki and tarako while adding my favorite chouchin to the omakase course. For the finale, I chose oyakodon. It was another wonderful night. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

Google Maps may be confusing for first-time visitors, but don't worry, you can't make a reservation at Toriyoshi. This time, I was fortunate enough to be guided by a regular customer. Summary: 1) Even though you may not know the prices, it's easy to order. 2) All the grilled dishes are delicious. 3) Order the seseri and chouchin early before they run out. 4) The size of the meat is just right. 5) For dessert, I was recommended the soboro rice or simmered noodles, and I ended up spending about 2 hours enjoying them. Started with champagne and finished with ponzu, even though I'm not much of a drinker. So, gentlemen, if you want to impress a lady who is more than just a friend, take her to this place. Thank you for the meal.

180th edition! A shop I was curious about - Toriyoshi Nakameguro Branch - [Omakase] (*Stop system) The items I ate are ⬇️ Chicken / Skin / Gizzards / Ginkgo nuts / Chicken tenderloin / Chicken neck / Shishito peppers / Chicken liver / Tail meat / Heart with asparagus / Chicken wing tips / Sweet potatoes in STEP ✋ Additional: Tataki A high-end yakitori restaurant that is the simplest and most cost-effective! It's a stop system, so they keep bringing out dishes until you say stop ✴️ When you say stop, they will even bring out the skewers that are being grilled, so make sure to stop before you're about to burst! Even after stopping, you can still order more! Finally, sweet potatoes are a must-have♪ They are crispy and sweet, like a dessert! It's always delicious whenever you go! The grilling and seasoning are exquisite. This is the origin of high-end yakitori restaurants♪ If you haven't been, be sure to visit at least once! I entered the restaurant at the opening time of 4:00 pm since I didn't have a reservation. The person who invited me was so engrossed in conversation that we lost our way, and I arrived at the front of the restaurant right at 4:00 pm feeling rushed. I thought it might be impossible to get a seat as I saw people lining up and entering one after another, but I was able to sit down smoothly. Although I had visited the main branch many times in the past, this was my first time at the branch. I found this restaurant to be more to my liking with its cleanliness. The pickled vegetables served as an appetizer were delicious. All the grilled dishes were tasty, with an elegant sauce. I started with the liver as recommended by my regular friend. The seasonal vegetables were also delicious. The atmosphere was different from a lively yakitori restaurant, with a more adult vibe. The grill master's nice middle-aged appearance was also impressive. After trying various dishes, I ended with a minced chicken bowl (small) and soup. I finished while it was still bright outside. It was a fresh experience to enjoy yakitori while it was still daylight. I would like to visit this adult yakitori restaurant again.

I usually visit right after the store opens, but this time I decided to try my luck around 8 pm! Luckily, I was able to get a table. I started with a bottled beer and let the chef choose the dishes for me. The fresh young corn was incredibly sweet and delicious! I wanted to have more of it! When eaten with the beard, it had a slightly smoky flavor that was amazing! For dessert, I had my favorite chawanmushi. It might not be well-known, but personally, I highly recommend trying it with tarako (cod roe). I had a wonderful time once again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Recently, there has been an increase in yakitori restaurants that are opening with new initiatives. With a curious mind, I made a reservation and visited one, but ended up coming back to this place. It made me realize that sticking to the basics and being meticulous is actually the most important thing! Today, the exceptionally large nameko mushrooms were the best! Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying a variety of skewers at Toriyoshi Nakameguro, recommended by the head chef, I always make sure to finish with their delicious "soboro bowl". I love pairing it with their light chicken soup. In my younger days, I used to eat the soboro bowl at the restaurant and also take one home as a souvenir. Recently, I couldn't resist going back to Toriyoshi twice in one week because the chef's grilling technique is just perfect. As I've gotten older, I've realized that no matter how many other yakitori places I try, I always end up coming back to Toriyoshi as the best. Does anyone else understand this feeling?

I'm always happy to be warmly welcomed. I always ask for the chef's choice menu. If there's something I really want to eat or don't like, I can let them know and they will accommodate. It's perfect to let them know when you're almost full and ask for the check! This is the best restaurant where you can always enjoy delicious yakitori.

It is a shop like Kawakami that produces various yakitori restaurants, but reservations are not available so you can go on the day depending on your mood. I arrived at the branch store on Friday at 7:00 p.m. because the main store was full. You can choose to have them continue grilling until you say stop, or you can order as you like including specific dishes. There is a menu book and table seating available, so it may be good for those who want to eat what they like, such as fried chicken or omelette. However, I went with the omakase option, but I ordered the impressive nameko mushrooms first. It was fun to watch the skewers being grilled at the counter, and the perfectly cooked and juicy yakitori was delicious. The main store was also great, but the nameko mushrooms were visually stunning and packed with flavor. The prices may vary between vegetables and chicken, but it was around 400 yen per item (total of 19 skewers including tax for a meal was 7,370 yen). We also had a beer and a bottle of red wine, which came to a total of 13,200 yen, but we enjoyed eating and drinking. 1. Nameko mushrooms 2. Tsukune 3. Chicken 4. Gizzard 5. Thick fried tofu 6. Shishito peppers 7. Chicken skin 8. Quail eggs 9. Ginkgo nuts 10. Chicken cartilage 11. Bonjiri (tail meat) 12. Onion 13. Grilled garlic 14. Asparagus 15. Liver 16. Shiitake mushrooms 17. Heart 18. Less than 5 minutes walk from Naka-Meguro Station. This branch is located just 30 seconds away from the famous restaurant "Toriyoshi Naka-Meguro Main Store". I personally prefer that this branch does not accept reservations, as it allows for fair and easy access. I like the fact that you can always get in if you're willing to wait. I visited the main store around 7 pm on a weekday and was told that the branch was not crowded, so I casually walked in. Each dish is carefully prepared and while not extravagant, the yakitori is undeniably delicious at this branch. The prices are also reasonable, usually around 7,000 to 8,000 yen per person, which is great. I always go for the "omakase" course, where the staff serves recommended yakitori dishes until you say stop. It's convenient not having to think about what to order. On this particular day, I ended up spending 10,500 yen after enjoying drinks and plenty of food, but I was satisfied with everything. My business partners who I brought along were also pleased, and I am grateful for that. This is my go-to place for yakitori whenever I'm in a bind. Always thankful! Thank you for the meal, and I will definitely be back again. ⭐️⭐️

I really liked the atmosphere, and the chef was friendly, making it a fun experience. It's a casual and relaxed place. We had ginkgo nuts, tsukune, bonjiri, and finished with soboro rice. We were full and had a great night in Naka-Meguro.

Torayoshi Nakameguro branch, said to be the most difficult to reserve in Japan, is owned by Mr. Ikegawa, who is known as the master of Torishiki. It is rare for a yakitori restaurant in this price range to not accept reservations, and instead allows customers to walk in and be seated on the same day. Many yakitori restaurants require reservations to be made one or two months in advance, but being able to casually drop by when you feel like eating yakitori is ideal, so this style is much appreciated. I was directed to the Nakameguro branch right behind Torayoshi's main store, which was busy. The branch also has a spacious capacity, with a counter in the shape of a "コ" and a couple of table seats. We started with chicken breast cooked in a low tone, ordering about 10 skewers in total. It was delightful to be able to enjoy yakitori of this level without a reservation. The skewers were like a model example of yakitori. With two beers and 11 skewers, the total cost per person was around 7,000 yen.
