A nostalgic eel restaurant located near Ishikiribashi Bridge. I don't have much experience dining at famous eel restaurants, but I have never had eel this tender and fluffy before! It's a short walk from Kagurazaka Station and close to Edogawabashi Station. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with bright lights, which builds up anticipation. I called to make a reservation on the day of, but unfortunately, all reservation slots were full. However, they said walk-ins were welcome, so I decided to give it a try. I arrived around 18:40, thinking it might be too late since they close at 20:00 with last order at 19:30, but luckily I managed to snag the last table for two. The restaurant is said to have a total of 20 seats, but in reality, there were 32 seats including 2-person tables, 4-person tables, and tatami rooms. The staff, despite being from an old establishment, were surprisingly young and very courteous. I ordered the Eel Bowl (¥4,300), Liver Sashimi (¥310), and a bottle of Premium Malt beer (¥800). As I waited with the appetizer and beer, my meal arrived in about 30 minutes. The eel was incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth, with a light and delicate sauce. The rice was slightly firm, absorbing the sauce and becoming slightly softer, which I personally loved. Every bite was full of flavor, and the combination with the eel was perfect. The liver sashimi was also delicious, with a unique texture that was both firm and creamy. I didn't want the meal to end, but before I knew it, I had finished every last bite. It was truly amazing!
