Located on the 1st floor of the Palace Hotel Tokyo in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, the restaurant has 162 seats and a high ceiling that creates a spacious atmosphere. The terrace seats with a view of the Imperial Palace are also popular. They offer all-day dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Prices are on the higher end, starting from 5,090 yen for breakfast, 4,000 yen for lunch, and 7,750 yen for dinner. The ambiance is not too formal, with a natural and subtle hotel feel. The Grand Kitchen Lunch costs 5,330 yen and includes soup, bread, a main course, dessert, and coffee. You can choose from two types of soup and four main courses. The quality of the dishes is excellent, especially the perfectly cooked salmon. The service is adequate, and the overall atmosphere is just right for a hotel restaurant. It's a great choice for a special dining experience. This is the Grand Kitchen at the Palace Hotel Tokyo, where even former President Trump stayed.

It felt overly luxurious for a salaryman's lunch. The salad had smoked salmon and a tangy dressing with mayonnaise, creating a delicious combination. The main dish was a burger with a thick patty made from domestic beef. It wasn't juicy, but the perfectly cooked patty with a hint of pink was meaty. Topped with a runny sunny-side-up egg, cheddar cheese, and bacon, the burger had a rich and flavorful taste. The brioche bun had a slight sweetness to it. Overall, it was a voluminous yet elegant burger typical of a hotel.
The dessert was a panna cotta that looked like a cappuccino. It was served with a cappuccino, making it hard to tell which one was the dessert.

Birthday cakes require reservations at least 3 days in advance. If it's not a whole cake, you can reserve it the day before!

It's been a while since I visited the Palace Hotel. The atmosphere of the Grand Kitchen has a special feel to it. The high ceilings and the view of greenery from another country are amazing. The staff are attentive and provide excellent service, living up to the Palace Hotel's reputation. The food is very delicious, but the portion size is not very filling. I think they should increase the portion size a bit more to satisfy foreign guests. Thank you for the meal!

I visited during lunch on a weekday and tried the Express Lunch, which is limited to weekdays. When you reserve the Express Lunch online, the seat automatically becomes a terrace seat. For the appetizer, you can choose between chicken bouillon soup or smoked salmon salad. I chose the red snapper aqua pazza for the main dish. The red snapper was soft and the seafood broth was just right, making it incredibly delicious. For dessert, I had melon jelly and ice cream, which was so delicious and perfect for summer! I wanted to eat a peach parfait at the lounge. It was a perfect combination of compote peaches, fresh peaches, and peach ice cream. I made a reservation in advance and the seating time was 1.5 hours, but it was worth it because it was crowded on Sunday. They allow refills for the same drink. I made a reservation for a course lunch on the terrace from 11:30 on Friday. We enjoyed a relaxing time on a large sofa seat at the far end, feeling the pleasant breeze and watching the ducks swimming by the Imperial Palace with my colleagues from work. It was a perfect day for dining on the terrace due to the lovely weather. I wanted to have my favorite Mont Blanc Chantilly, so I confirmed in advance that I could change it with an additional charge. There were two types of bread, baguette and milk bread, both with a slightly sweet and gentle taste. I especially enjoyed the baguette with olive oil, which was so delicious that I couldn't help but ask for seconds. The appetizers were substantial, almost like a main course, and I chose the pork for the main dish, which was very tender, sweet, and delicious, and I finished it all. Despite being full, I enjoyed the dessert, Mont Blanc Chantilly, beautifully. The service was excellent, and I was completely satisfied. I would love to visit again.

The salad was satisfying with a generous amount of vegetables to make up for my usual lack of veggies. The fish had crispy skin and tender flesh, but the coriander sauce was quite strong. I don't mind coriander, but it was a bit too overpowering for me. My friend chose the hamburger, which looked delicious. The hamburger was quite filling, but it comes wrapped in paper so you can dive in without hesitation (I want to try this next time). For dessert and coffee, the dessert platter was very satisfying.
