At a dining party. The organizer had a membership at an American club, so I was taken there as a visitor. As a visitor, I had to go through an ID check at the reception. In addition to the 3 million yen entrance fee, there was also a simple English test for joining, and a monthly fee of several tens of thousands of yen... Moreover, the nationality ratio of members is adjusted to maintain balance. It was quite an exciting experience to visit a social venue that I don't often have the chance to go to. After all that, we were shown to our table. It seemed a bit crowded, but not sure if it was intentional, as the table for four was on the smaller side, and I thought, "Four American guys won't fit here..." Oh well, it's fine (^O^) The dishes we had that day were: - Calamari (similar to fried squid rings) - Baguette - Crab Clam Chowder - Ribeye Steak - Spare Ribs - Sides (broccoli, mushrooms) - Carrot Cake That's all we had. Ate a lot, haha. The Calamari had a deliciously mysterious sauce, and the Crab Clam Chowder had large chunks of crab meat, very satisfying. The flavors were a bit subtle, but I guess that's typical of American food, so it was okay. Both steaks were not too greasy and had a juicy, tender texture without feeling heavy. Even though I ate a lot and felt stuffed, I was enveloped in a strange sense of satisfaction, like when I had steak in America. Finally, we had the Carrot Cake as dessert. It had a classic American taste, not too heavy or overly sweet, and it was delicious. Maybe it was the cheese cream that made it stand out. However, all the dishes here are American-sized, so we ended up ordering double portions of Calamari and Carrot Cake to share among the four of us (^_^;) The flavors are tailored to suit the American members, so if you're not a fan, you might not enjoy it. Also, according to the organizer, there is a big difference in taste between the delicious dishes and the not-so-good ones on the menu (lol). Well, it's just a matter of different preferences, so it's understandable. I really liked it! Thank you for this valuable opportunity ^_^
