When I thought about going to another bar, I saw a sign on the door saying it was a members-only establishment, so I gave up. I ended up at this place, but the door wouldn't open at all. However, I could hear fun voices coming from inside, and I was starting to despair, thinking, "Is this place members-only too?" But then a staff member opened the door for me. Maybe they were watching me on a surveillance camera or something, I'm sorry. I was just about to search "Little Smith entrance" to figure out how to get in. It turns out I just didn't have enough arm strength. It's rare to have doors that open outward in Japanese homes! Inside, there was a spacious cave-like area with an oval counter running along the central shelf. Wow, I've never seen this type before. Amazing! The drink menu only had seasonal fruit cocktails, and they said they would make anything else you wanted. Quite impressive! I ordered a strawberry seasonal fruit cocktail. They said they would mix it with either champagne or gin, so I had it mixed with gin, with a lower alcohol content. It was delicious, made with ichigo and amaou strawberries, rich in strawberry flavor but refreshing enough to make me want to drink more. I also really liked the smoked scallops they served as a complimentary dish, so I ended up looking for them on the menu. Maybe it was the time I came in or the season, but there were only about 2-3 groups of customers, including myself. I thought it would probably be full in about an hour, so I was relieved that I came early. I also ordered a cheese platter, which was generously topped with branch-cut raisins, which made me chuckle. This is the first time I've been to a place that serves so many raisins. I love these branch-cut raisins, so I could eat them endlessly. It made me happy. I decided to have different cocktails served by the two bartenders, and I realized that the taste of the cocktails varied depending on who made them. It's fascinating.
