I infiltrated a hidden French bistro in Ebisu! The name is "Aves," which is the same as a subway station on Metro Line 12 in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, France. The owner chef has trained in various places in Paris and other regions, and his experience has resulted in powerful dishes and an atmosphere that exudes the spirit of France. I made a reservation a few days ago and ordered the following a la carte items: - Omelette with autumn truffles and Comte cheese (¥2300): The Comte cheese from the Comte region of France has a nutty flavor that blends well with the eggs, creating a delicious texture. The addition of autumn truffles enhances the richness of the dish. - Marinated fresh mackerel (¥2100): A dish often seen on social media, this mackerel has a unique taste that is unforgettable. The absence of excess moisture and the influence of white wine make it a perfect match for the Western-style dish. - Roasted Japanese black beef sirloin (¥4500): The pink cross-section of the beef is tantalizing, and the texture is incredibly satisfying. Paired with a heavier red wine, this dish is worth the price. - Country-style pate (¥1200): This dish is perfect as an appetizer, with the rich flavor of the liver spreading in your mouth with each bite. It's perfect for a date or a girls' night out! The service from the staff was impressive, and the wine, although I forgot to take a picture, was delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal!

JR "Ebisu Station" East Exit, a 6-minute walk from the station, is a bistro restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a while. First, the marinated mackerel. The neatly arranged mackerel is delicious with a tangy sauce. The mackerel has a nice firm texture. The omelette with black truffle and Comte cheese is fluffy, with luxurious black truffle on top, and the truffle flavor and well-seasoned taste are incredibly delicious! The crispy pig trotter wrapped in crepinette is deep-fried pig trotter wrapped in a lattice of fat, served with a grebiche sauce. The grebiche sauce is similar to tartar sauce but a cold egg sauce in French cuisine. With capers and other ingredients adding a nice aroma, the freshness of the pig trotter fat and the sauce are a perfect match. This is also incredibly delicious. Salmon pie bake, another specialty dish of the restaurant. The pie shaped like a salmon is almost too beautiful to eat. Enjoy it with plenty of bearnaise sauce. This is also delicious. Foie gras sauté and oyster pilaf. The STOB plate is filled with oyster pilaf, and a large foie gras sauté is placed on top. The oyster broth is rich and flavorful. Wagyu beef sirloin roti (200g) is a very flavorful meat. It goes well with red wine. Very delicious. The dessert is nougat glacé. Everything is beautifully presented, and the dishes are truly delicious. I have found a restaurant that I want to visit again and again.

Budget: 8000 yen a la carte - Black Wagyu beef cheek roti: tender texture with a crispy underside, delicious without any sauce due to the well-seasoned saltiness. Comes with mashed potatoes. Sauce is vinegar-based? - Pork trotter crepinette: wrapped and baked, easy to eat without any strong flavors. - Black truffle and Comte cheese omelette: souffle-like texture, would have been better with more cheese. Goes well with bread. - Marinated mackerel: a bit too much for two people to share, but easy to eat. - Pantartare: wanted to try it but sold out for 19:30 reservation, available for 18:00 or 18:30 reservation. Not enough with this order in terms of quantity.

I came back again. This time, I visited with two other people. The price for each dish is a bit high, but the portion size is good for 2-3 people, so it's great for larger groups. However, it's also recommended for a date. This time, we ordered a bit too much, 6 dishes in total. We had wine, starting with champagne and then the waiter selected the rest for us, pairing them with the dishes. The waiter here has a slightly cheerful personality and is helpful with recommendations. We started with the mackerel, which was delicious as always, with a secret sauce. The mackerel seemed to have a bit less fat this time but was still tasty and beautifully presented. They also brought us bread, as it is a bistro. The pate was slightly coarse, giving a nice texture and meaty flavor. Next, we had the tartare, which we really wanted to try. It's a popular dish here, so we were lucky to get it this time. It was delicious, but personally, I would try something else next time since there are other menu items I'm interested in. Then, we had the truffle and cheese omelette, which was actually a souffle omelette. The highlight was the salmon pie, with a strong buttery aroma and thick salmon that paired perfectly with Chardonnay. This was my favorite dish, and I would definitely order it again. Lastly, we had the roast quail, which has gotten quite expensive at 6000 yen. It was tasty, but considering the high quality and variety of dishes at this restaurant, I might skip this next time. Overall, it's still a wonderful bistro with delicious food. There were a few minor issues with the service this time, but the food made up for it. Prices are increasing, which seems to be a trend, but I would definitely visit again. This is a highly recommended restaurant.

After finding a photo of meat, Mr. Aves secretly wanted to go, and finally went on his day off! It's located on the 2nd floor of a building a short walk from Ebisu Station. Since it was the last time slot, some menu items were already sold out. But luckily, the two-tower kuri steak and mackerel marinade were still available! For a party of two, people usually order about 4 dishes, so we also ordered truffle omelette and scallop ravioli! The first dish that came was the mackerel marinade. Sliced daikon radish under the mackerel, shiso leaves on top, and a refreshing marinade sauce. It was my favorite of the day! Next was the truffle omelette. It looks gorgeous. The skillet-baked omelette was fluffy and creamy. Third was the scallop ravioli. I remember being impressed by the taste of ravioli when I first had it in Malta. This was my first time trying scallop ravioli. The scallop was deliciously prominent. The leftover sauce was enjoyed with bread until the end. The bread was also delicious! I really liked it. The final boss was the chestnut steak. Beautiful color and meaty! I was actually quite full by this point, so I couldn't fully enjoy the meat, which was a shame. The mashed potatoes on the side were also delicious! I finished the dessert and had a satisfying meal. It seems like the chef is working alone, so the serving time is a bit slow. There is a wait, but the staff is friendly and engaging, making for an enjoyable time. There were some menu items that were sold out, so I would like to come back for a rematch if I can make a reservation.

It was quite difficult to get a reservation, so I booked about a month in advance and visited the small casual restaurant. The friendly and talkative staff member left a strong impression. The specialty marinated mackerel and roasted duck were good, but the scallop ravioli was especially delicious. I would love to go back if I have the chance.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The food is delicate, authentic, and incredibly delicious, making for a enjoyable dining experience. This was my first visit after being recommended, and I completely agree that this is a place I confidently recommend to anyone. It's a popular restaurant that's hard to get reservations for, so I think it's a hidden gem worth sharing with select people.

A hidden gem located a short walk from Ebisu on the second floor. The interior is like being in a foreign country, very lovely! On this day, I had pate, salmon pie, and wagyu beef roti. Every dish was delicious! The pate was rich and packed with meaty flavor, perfect with wine. The wagyu roti was particularly impressive. The crispy texture was surprising, and with every bite, the sweet meat spread in my mouth, making me happy. They said they take their time with the cooking process. I was completely satisfied with the wonderful service and delicious food! I will definitely go back!

I finally had the chance to visit Abes-san, and I must say that every dish exceeded my expectations in terms of taste and portion size. I had a wonderful time there. The wine selection was also perfect, and even though I am not very knowledgeable about wines, I was able to enjoy it. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Since it was my first time visiting at night, I asked for the restaurant's recommendations. They don't serve lunch now, but I used to come for lunch often. The lunch was very delicious, and I had been wanting to come at night since then, so my wish finally came true. The dishes I had were all wonderful, and I could feel the chef's dedication who trained in France. The tartare reminded me of the deliciousness of Paris. Next time, I must have the mackerel, tartare, and meat again.

I had been curious about this restaurant after seeing it on Instagram. Ambiance: The interior was more casual than I had expected, and the tables were small, so it didn't feel very relaxing. Service: The staff asked similar questions to all customers. Food: Every dish was delicious. Especially the last meat dish was outstanding with a perfect balance of fat and redness, cooking temperature, and everything was exquisite. If I had to mention something, it would be that the food took a long time to come out after ordering, so we couldn't add more orders midway. In terms of food alone, it's definitely a restaurant I would like to visit again.

Once you step inside, the exotic atmosphere makes you think you're in Paris, or perhaps you truly are in Paris. Definitely a top-notch restaurant. Beware when ordering as the menu names are hard to remember. Everything was at the level of art: Foie Gras Macaron (exquisite taste, an explosion of spice art), Marinated Mackerel (shatters the concept of mackerel), Beef Tartare (eating it makes you see vast grasslands), Salmon Pie Wrap (reminds me of a home in France I've never been to), Beef Steak (juicy to the point that the word "juicy" exists for this restaurant), Summer Truffle Omelette (so fluffy and airy that it warps from mouth to stomach without needing to chew). A microcosm is born. I hope to make it to dessert next time. Surely, I'll be able to see Mont Saint-Michel from there. ~Continued~

It's a quite popular restaurant where you need to make a reservation well in advance. My husband and I visited on a day that worked out in the middle of the week. We brought our own wine, as they allow one bottle per table. The interior is just like a French bistro, very authentic. It can be a bit tricky to decide on the portion sizes for the dishes when visiting for the first time. We consulted with the server and decided on ordering a la carte. We had the marinated horse mackerel, black pudding, baked salmon in puff pastry, and roasted lamb with Roquefort sauce. The marinated horse mackerel was highly recommended and it was a great choice. I suggest ordering it if you visit for the first time. The black pudding was unique and worth trying. The baked salmon was also good, but if you're not particularly fond of salmon, you might want to try a different dish. The roasted lamb was excellent in terms of meat quality, cooking, and sauce. Although we were recommended other dishes, we were glad we stuck to our preferences. The service was attentive, but it felt like they treated every customer as if they were new to French cuisine, which slightly affected our experience. However, for those who don't mind this, the food is delicious and the value for money is high, making it a convenient restaurant to visit.

I mainly tried the popular menu items and they were all incredibly delicious!! The atmosphere of the restaurant was friendly and I enjoyed chatting with the staff. Not only were the flavors great, but each dish had unique ingredients and aromas, making it a great value for the price. I also wanted to try the salmon pie, so I would love to go back if I can make a reservation again!

<Features> A popular French bistro in Ebisu, a 6-minute walk from Ebisu Station East Exit. Selected as one of the top 100 bistros on Tabelog. Opened on June 25, 2012. <Menu> - Foie Gras and Chicken Liver Macaron (2,000 yen) - Summer Truffle and Comte Cheese Omelette (3,300 yen) - Scallop Ravioli (3,000 yen) - Black Wagyu Beef Roast (6,000 yen) - Crusted Apple with Calvados Ice Cream (1,200 yen) - Strawberry Regiois with Balsamic Ice Cream (1,200 yen) - Nougat Glace (800 yen) A friend made a reservation for me, and it was my first visit. I ordered what I was curious about, and surprisingly, the dishes looked filling but were actually light and easy to eat. The steak is cooked slowly for an hour. It's on the lean side, but packed with flavor and just the right tenderness, very delicious. I was feeling great that day and had room for more, so I ordered three desserts! Overall, the drinks were strong but all of high quality. The Nougat Glace was especially amazing. I wanted to try the Black Wagyu Tartare, but unfortunately, it was sold out (cries). The staff mentioned that they could hold it for me, so I definitely want to come back for it next time. The atmosphere inside was more casual than I imagined! The hospitality of the staff was wonderful, and the place was very cozy. They recommended a few more places to me, so I definitely want to visit them as well. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Budget: 10,000 to 15,000 yen Order: Chef's choice course only Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours Reservation: Available on Tabelog Located a 5-6 minute walk from Ebisu towards Hiroo, this bistro-like hidden gem offers a delightful dining experience. The signature dish, roasted wagyu beef fillet, along with other tempting dishes, make this a charming spot to visit. The interior decor transports you to a foreign destination, and the staff are friendly and enjoyable. The dishes provided are light yet satisfying, allowing you to try multiple items without feeling overwhelmed. While red meat can often be tough, the precise cooking technique used here was evident. The only downside may be the cost compared to portion size, especially if alcohol is included. The dessert, Nougat Glacé, was particularly delicious and left a lasting impression. The alcohol content is strong, but it doesn't linger too heavily after consumption. I was disappointed that the tartare I wanted was unavailable, so I plan to return to try it another time. With seasonal menus available, I look forward to visiting again in the future. [Orders] - Foie Gras and Chicken Liver Macaron: Perfect for a light snack. - Summer Truffle and Comté Cheese Omelette - Scallop Ravioli: Large and delicious scallops. - Roasted Black Wagyu Beef Fillet - Nougat Glacé - Strawberry Liégeois - Crustade aux Pommes: A French apple pie-like dessert with hot apples and crispy pastry.

This time, I used it for a celebration with three female friends! It's a shop that I was curious about on Instagram. The shop is on the second floor and has a stylish space with a red color scheme. I was grateful for the wide seats at the offer table. The food was delicious from the marinated dishes to the meat, and it was visually beautiful and enjoyable to look at and eat♪ The taste of the various sauces of the dishes was so delicious that I ended up eating three pieces of bread... The service is very casual. It would be better to just introduce the dishes right after they are served. I felt awkward with the machine-gun talk while there was warm food in front of me. Also, they join in the conversation a lot, so I think this kind of service is recommended for those who like that. Let's eat. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and the customer service is top-notch. It can be quite difficult to make a reservation, but the food is incredibly delicious. In particular, the beef is extremely tasty. All dishes have a substantial portion size, so even men with big appetites will be very satisfied. The wine is reasonably priced as well.
