On Saturday, December 2020 at 11:30 (arrived at the reservation time), I finally visited this restaurant that I had been curious about for a long time. The entrance was colorful and a bit intimidating, but I mustered up the courage to enter! They took our bags and coats and guided us inside, where we were seated by the window with a great view (Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge in sight!). The interior had colorful ceilings and floors, giving off a mysterious vibe. Despite the lack of heating, the sunny spot made it warm enough by the end of the meal. The restaurant had thorough COVID-19 measures in place, with waiters dressed in gloves, masks, and even virus protection glasses. The service was impeccable, with a veteran-like waiter providing detailed explanations. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the waitresses had soft voices and sometimes served dishes without explanation, which was a bit disappointing.
[Food and Drinks]
For drinks, we ordered the following non-alcoholic cocktails:
- Seasonal Fruit Cocktail: ¥1,100
- Elderflower Cocktail: ¥1,000
The cocktails were visually stunning and tasted amazing. The Elderflower Cocktail was refreshing with a subtle sweetness, while the Seasonal Fruit Cocktail had a perfect blend of apple and grapefruit flavors that complemented each other well.
[Todays Lunch Course]
Priced at ¥4,598 (tax and service charge included), the course included:
- Seasonal Amuse-Bouche
- Appetizer
- Main Course (Fish or Meat)
- Dessert
- After-Meal Coffee & Mignardises
We were served an additional amuse-bouche before the actual one, which included croquettes, mousse, and tart. The combination of whitefish and apple in the seasonal amuse-bouche was surprisingly delicious, with a creamy texture, smoky flavor, and a touch of sweetness. The bread and butter were warm and delightful, with two types of bread and whipped butter with olive oil and lemon. The appetizer featured seared foie gras, polenta galette, salad, vinaigrette, and honey foam, providing a unique and tasty experience.
