Today's dinner was set at the 31st floor restaurant area of Tokyo Skytree Soramachi, for an important client in Tokyo. The reservation was for 6 PM, and we were seated at the counter in front of the teppanyaki grill. We started with a toast with beer, enjoying the night view below. The course meal included Zuwai crab salad, abalone teppanyaki, shirako teppanyaki, spiny lobster teppanyaki, foie gras teppanyaki, premium black wagyu sirloin steak, rice with bonito and kelp dashi, seasonal special dessert, and healthy mate tea. The location at Soramachi 31F was perfect, and the food was excellent. The service was impeccable, and the conversation flowed easily during the two-hour meal. The final dish, where you pour dashi over the rice, was satisfyingly filling. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, without any concerns about the clientele. It was a pleasant dinner, and I also have a connection to the same restaurant for lunch, called Dining Ponta, which is produced by Hikaru Hikari. It was a great day, thank you!

Located directly connected to Oshiage Station, on the 31st floor of Tokyo Skytree Solamachi, is the Teppanyaki restaurant Mantenrou. We visited for lunch on a Thursday at 1:30 pm with a reservation for the Abalone course priced at 6600 yen, and an additional order of lobster for 9800 yen. With drinks and other charges, the total for two people came to 26,620 yen. The restaurant was almost full. Today, we were enjoying cherry blossom viewing near Asakusa. It was a perfect day for flower viewing with great weather. I thought it would be nice to enjoy the cherry blossoms from the high floors of Skytree, so we decided to dine at this restaurant. We had already booked the lunch course. The meal started with an appetizer followed by a Zuwai crab salad with crab miso sauce, which I particularly enjoyed. The grilled sea urchin was incredibly rich and delicious. The abalone steak, though small, was perfectly cooked with a good balance of butter and sauce. It had a spicy miso sauce that added a nice kick. The domestic beef sirloin steak was slightly overcooked for my liking. They didn't ask for our preferred doneness, so it might be a good idea to inform them if you prefer rare. The thick asparagus in the center of the plate was impressive. The white rice with bonito broth may not be to everyone's taste, but I wished they had garlic rice. I made ochazuke by topping the plate with takana and tororo and pouring bonito broth over it. The whole lobster priced at 9800 yen was expensive, but it was worth it to enjoy a whole live lobster from the tank. It was incredibly delicious as it was not overcooked. The lobster miso was also delicious. The staff provided excellent service. Peeling the lobster was a bit challenging, so I asked them to do it for me. The best part was the stunning view from the 31st floor of Skytree. It must be even more beautiful at night. The lunch course was reasonably priced, although the lobster was expensive. The view was amazing, and the food was delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal. I will definitely visit again.

I made a reservation and visited after 5 years. The interior of the restaurant had changed, with the semi-private window-side area gone, creating an open atmosphere where everything was visible. I was a little surprised by the lively cheers, similar to those in an izakaya. We started with a toast with beer, then moved on to champagne. I remember that when the restaurant first opened, the course with abalone and spiny lobster cost 10,000 yen, showing how times have changed. On this day, we had the spiny lobster course. Although I also wanted to eat abalone, I wasn't sure if I could finish it... times have changed. We enjoyed delicious food and had a great time. Next time, I want to try the abalone course.

Visited a restaurant in Tokyo, located near the Skytree. It was crowded due to summer vacation and inbound tourists, but it was great to see things returning to normal post-COVID. The restaurant offered a reasonable lunch set with great value. The salad was visually appealing and the rich sauce with snow crab was delicious. The main dish allowed for flavor variations, and finishing with a tea-soaked rice cooked on a -50 degree iron plate dessert was satisfying. The service was a bit disappointing as there were many student staff members whose conversations were easily overheard, not quite matching the atmosphere of the restaurant. It made me realize the importance of creating the right ambiance in a dining establishment.

We came to this teppanyaki restaurant on the 31st floor of Skytree for a meeting. We ordered the half spiny lobster course. Since abalone was sold out, they increased the amount of steak instead. The food was delicious, the view was great, and the drinks were flowing!

Great! The balance between taste and scenery was perfect. The food was not incredibly delicious, but the beautiful view made it taste even better. I felt that this place is an essence for enjoying a meal. I decided to go out for the first time in a while and headed to Solamachi for lunch. I chose a teppanyaki restaurant and made a reservation, so I was quickly seated by the window. Today, I ordered the half lobster course. The meal included: - Snow crab salad: A salad with homemade crab miso sauce, which was delicious. - Grilled sea urchin: I started with sea urchin and then had it wrapped in seaweed, which was really good. - Grilled half lobster: The main dish was a half lobster with plump meat, it was so delicious and juicy. - Chef's recommended dish: A galette with plenty of cheese, dipped in balsamic vinegar, which was also very good. - Domestic beef sirloin steak: A tender steak cooked medium, which was very satisfying. - Final dish: I placed the leftover steak vegetables on top, added some condiments and poured bonito broth over it. It was light and easy to eat even though I was already full. - Dessert & Iced coffee: The ice cream made on a -30 degree teppan was a refreshing dessert to finish the meal. It was a bit luxurious, but I enjoyed it very much. I would love to go back again!

A long-awaited lunch with 4 former colleagues from the old company. The average age is 60. We decided to order two courses each of abalone and spiny lobster to share, despite the tempting lunch course deals. The first salad was a crab miso salad, which was both generous in portion and delicious. The second dish was a sea urchin roll, with a mild taste of sea urchin and no bitterness. It went well with Japanese sake. Next, we had seafood with buckwheat galette drizzled with balsamic sauce, a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. Both the abalone and spiny lobster were served, with the abalone liver sauce being incredibly tasty with a hint of sea salt and sweetness. The spiny lobster, however, was slightly overcooked and difficult to peel. The main meat dish was high-quality beef with a light taste of fat, cut into bite-sized pieces with five different seasonings on the side. The mashed potatoes were sautéed with a special touch. Despite the course costing 10,000 yen, the generous portions left us completely satisfied. We ended up drinking three bottles of wine in the afternoon, which made the bill quite high. In hindsight, the regular steak lunch at the next table seemed more than enough. The only downside was the loud noise coming from the open kitchen. It was a bit too noisy.

When the Skytree was first built, I used to go there for lunch often. At that time, they had dishes like crab miso salad, grilled sea urchin, foie gras, and steak for only 5000 yen, which was incredibly cheap. However, the prices and atmosphere have changed since then, so I stopped going. Recently, I felt like revisiting and ordered the abalone course for 8800 yen, which included crab miso salad, grilled sea urchin, abalone, buckwheat crepe, steak, garlic rice, and ice cream. I don't remember abalone being served during lunch before, but this time it was a satisfying portion with delicious miso and liver sauce. The taste of the crab miso salad remained the same as before, and each dish was delicious, making me want to revisit again. However, the restaurant was quite noisy, so if you want to eat in peace, be aware of that.

Today we had guests from Kansai and were thinking about where to have dinner, when they mentioned wanting to go up the Skytree, so we immediately made a reservation at a skyscraper. I've been here a few times in the past and I think it's a restaurant that never disappoints no matter who you go with. The atmosphere of the restaurant, the location, the quality of the food, and the cost performance are all great. It had been 4 years since my last visit, and this time I chose the spiny lobster course. I was surprised to find that the dishes had a French touch this time (laughs). The salad with crab miso sauce was delicious! I think I would have preferred the spiny lobster in a more traditional Japanese style (laughs). It's necessary to have dishes that appeal to the younger generation, so I guess it can't be helped (laughs). The young female staff members were all working hard and I liked them. I will definitely use this restaurant again. Thank you for the meal today!

The Chateaubriand course salad with crab miso sauce was delicious. Every menu item was tasty, and I ate a lot, so I was full by the end. I was happy to be able to eat spiny lobster. The meat was so tender. I would prefer to sit at the counter seats where I can watch the food being cooked in front of me.

In the past, I went to the teppanyaki restaurant "Skyscraper" in Japan with a long-time German friend (male) I met during my time working in South Korea. We enjoyed the bustling atmosphere of Solamachi, and someone said they wanted to go up the Skytree - you have to make a reservation for that. The ambiance was nice. This place is best enjoyed with a lovely lady. Although two guys had fun too (laughs)

The night view coming in through the large window is beautiful, adding value to the restaurant. The Tokyo cityscape outside is sparkling, and you can enjoy a luxurious course with uni, lobster, and steak. The uni had a strong ocean flavor and rich umami, while the lobster was plump and juicy with a delicious sauce. The garlic rice had a perfect balance of saltiness and a hint of garlic aroma. However, the main steak took a long time to arrive, causing disappointment. Despite being a busy weekend, the service should have been better managed. Therefore, I rated the service a 2.0. It's a shame because everything else was satisfying.

I wanted to eat teppanyaki for a special occasion, so I made a reservation. However, even though I thought it was teppanyaki, the style was to have the food cooked and then brought to us for the high-rise view (Kinshicho view). I visited for lunch on a regular day without a reservation. I was able to get in without waiting, but it was quite busy, so I sat at the counter. The cheapest option at 3,000 yen was sold out, so I opted for the 4,000 yen set with wine. The meat was delicious on its own, or you could enjoy it on top of rice for a tasty ochazuke. The dessert, yogurt ice cream mixed on a cold plate, was also delicious.

I made a reservation for the standard course of 11,000 yen. The view outside is beautiful as it is on a high floor. The dishes, including sea urchin, Ise lobster, and steak, were all luxurious, but not particularly impressive, just delicious. The restaurant was crowded and noisy, with a lot of turnover and groups of families with children, giving it a casual izakaya-like atmosphere. It's not suitable for a quiet, upscale dining experience. Overall, there were no major negatives, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.

I want to use dinner at a New Year's party. It would be nice for a scene where you can spend elegantly while looking at the superb view. The Skytree is right next to the building. The sea urchin and salmon roe roll and the Ise lobster were delicious. The red meat fillet felt like there was very little. It was disappointing to hear a lot of young staff members chatting and laughing from the view of the seat. Even if you enjoy the great view and delicious food, your heart may cool down all at once.
