I had my first crab course! There was more food than I expected, with dishes like grilled crab and hot pot, so I ended up feeling really full. The grilled crab was cooked in a steamed style, not directly grilled, so it had a soft and fluffy texture that I think would be especially recommended for those who like that kind of crab.

Tonight, I tried a fugu course meal for the first time in a while at a restaurant called "Fukunoya" in Ebisu. The fugu dishes here are a bit unique. Instead of the usual sashimi served on a beautifully decorated plate, they serve thinly sliced tiger blowfish with ponzu and grated radish on top of chicory. The texture is firm and you can enjoy a slightly luxurious feeling. The main dish is not a hot pot but rather a "shabu-yaki" where fugu and vegetables are grilled on a net. The fugu comes in three flavors - salt, garlic, and sauce, with bones attached. The next dish is a classic fried fugu, which was also delicious. Finally, we had the standard fugu porridge as a closing dish. Fugu is low in calories and low in sugar, so I was able to enjoy the meal without feeling guilty (laughs).

I was looking for a restaurant in Tokyo where I could eat grilled blowfish, and I found a rare grilled blowfish specialty restaurant in Tokyo, so I visited it. I had the Laughing Fortune course. The appetizer was seasoned chicken, which was very delicious. Blowfish sashimi was crispy and I ate it with plenty of grated daikon radish. The staff explained how to eat it, and it was really delicious when eaten with vegetables! There were three flavors of grilled blowfish: salt, garlic, and sauce. The staff taught me how to grill it and grilled the first piece for me. It was really delicious when eaten, and it was even more delicious when dipped in sansho salt. Personally, garlic went really well with the blowfish and it was exquisite! Also, the blowfish was sliced so it was very easy to eat. Blowfish tempura was also delicious. We started with a toast with beer, then moved on to blowfish fin sake. For the meal, we selected a blowfish course that included blowfish grilled three ways and a satisfying finish. We also added blowfish sashimi. While this restaurant may not be top-tier, the blowfish grilled three ways were delicious. The portion was generous and the prices were reasonable. By the way, blowfish fin sake is so tasty. It's easy to drink too much, so I need to be careful.
