In Ikejiri, there are several modern French restaurants, with the original Lien located next door. The original Lien has an open kitchen and offers a great value for money with delicious food, making it a popular spot often fully booked on weekends. On the other hand, Prive de Lien, located nearby, offers a chic and calm atmosphere with private rooms available. They only offer course menus for lunch on weekends priced at 5500 yen (including tax) and dinner at 6500 yen. I recently visited for lunch and was impressed by the creatively delicious dishes. The flavors were consistently good, and I particularly enjoyed the first dish. The option to choose main dishes like Challans duck without additional charges was also a plus. The sommelier had a good sense of wine selection, making it a high-quality French restaurant that is approachable. I highly recommend it to locals in the area. The dishes I tried included sweet shrimp tartare with cream cheese, Awaji Island onion mousse with amberjack cocktail, Hokkaido sea urchin wrapped in kataifi with mustard sauce, Hokkaido saury confit with liver sauce, and the main course I chose was Challans duck breast roast. For dessert, I had Mont Blanc parfait with chestnut, Shine Muscat, and rare cheese mousse, followed by coffee. (Translated by AI)

Visited with my family at night. I have also visited Lian nearby, but this place is quieter and more relaxing. The dishes are all delicious.
- Amberjack tartare and corn mousse The amberjack is plentiful and satisfying. The corn mousse has a gentle sweetness.
- Melon gazpacho It seems like a trial to see if melon can work as well as watermelon gazpacho found elsewhere. My family really liked it, but the sweetness of the melon was a bit heavy for me.
- Grilled white fish scales The scales are crispy and the beet sauce is tasty.
- Chocolate terrine Surprisingly not too heavy and remained delicious until the end. The fruits around the terrine were all sweet and delicious, and I especially liked the milk ice cream on top.
Finally, there was time to talk with the chef and the staff, and it was a good time to learn more about the dishes. I will definitely go back.

The atmosphere was lovely and the meal was elegant. It was a leisurely dining experience. The appetizer was a great introduction to the main course, and the meat was exceptionally delicious. It was tender with just the right amount of oil. The skill in cooking the meat was impressive. Overall, I was amazed by the variety of ingredients used in the dishes.

During Golden Week, I visited during a consecutive holiday, so I chose wine pairing without hesitation, but I got a little drunk. The dishes were similar to those at Lian, like a private room version of Lian. The cheese-topped leaves looked like Lian, and the firefly squid was plentiful and delicious. The crispy and juicy scale-grilled fish was delicious. I had a time when the grilled fish meat was not so good in the past, but this time it was very fragrant and delicious. For the main dish, I chose deer, and there was also Ezo deer fricasse before that, so I had a double deer dish, but the staff explained the contents. The deer meat was light and delicious.

When trying to make a reservation at Lien for a meal with friends, it was full so I booked here instead. The basic menu is the same as Lien. If you want to eat in a private room, this is the only option. Personally, I prefer the seasoning at Lien. However, I think there are performances that you can't get at this price in this area.

I dined at the main branch of Lien a while ago and was surprised by the great value for money and the wonderful food. I wanted to go back again but somehow, Ikejiri Ohashi is a bit far from my usual hangout spots, so I never made it for a second visit. This time, I had some errands in Ikejiri Ohashi and was looking for a lunch spot nearby when I found out that a branch had opened up and they also serve lunch! I had limited time before my next appointment, but they let me choose the main 5 dishes in advance over the phone and served them promptly so I could make it on time. The lunch consisted of 6 dishes for 5500 yen. It's a mystery. I mean, the dishes were all so amazing. There was no sign of the usual shortcuts you find in lunches, and the portion sizes were more than enough. It's too good to be true... But I'm so happy about it that I won't question it too much. Next time, even if I don't have any errands, I'm definitely visiting for dinner!

Ikejiri Ohashi Lian's sister store. Located right next to the main store, it feels more like a separate entity than a sister store. This place offers only an 8-course fixed menu, making it very cost-effective. The atmosphere is more adult-oriented compared to the main store. The dishes are authentic French cuisine without any pretentious elements, making it appealing to everyone. For around 6500 yen (plus 5% service charge), you get about 8 dishes. The duck with truffle and red sauce is a classic and delicious choice. The kadaif-wrapped sea bream is also a highlight, featuring high-quality fish. The desserts are also excellent. There is a small private room in the back where birthday parties are often held. With some drinks, you can enjoy a meal here for around 10,000 yen per person.

I visited Prive de Lien's sister restaurant, Lien, which is located nearby and had a good impression. The compact restaurant with about 16 seats allowed me to relax and enjoy my meal. It's a great recommendation when you want to enjoy delicious French cuisine at a reasonable price. The dinner course is 6,500 yen (tax excluded, service charge excluded) and includes dishes such as sweet shrimp tartare with cream cheese, salted sablé, Hokkaido cold yellowtail and onion mousse, Hokkaido shirako wrapped in kataifi and baked with mustard sauce, assorted mushroom consommé cream soup with truffle flavor, Hokkaido saury confit with liver sauce, and a Mont Blanc parfait with venison from Shironuka-cho, Hokkaido, chestnut, shine muscat, and rare cheese mousse.

This is my second visit. The space has a partition that subtly blocks the view, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The menu consists of a single chef's choice course, so you can look forward to what will be served on the day of your visit. They offer wine pairing at reasonable prices, starting from 3 glasses for 3,900 yen. My favorite dish of the day was the saury, which was delicious as expected for a seasonal menu. The soup wrapped in cellophane, a signature dish, releases a wonderful aroma when unwrapped. It's always a delightful experience! They have private rooms and about 5 table seats. It seems you can also reserve the main floor for about 10 people. The cozy atmosphere allows for a comfortable dining experience with attentive service from the staff. Perfect for a date or celebratory occasion. I would definitely like to visit again.

There is a French restaurant in Ikejiri. It is said to be more formal than the popular nearby restaurant Lien. The course includes 3 appetizers, fish, and a dessert. For the main course, you can choose the roasted breast of Challans duck. The dishes are all beautifully presented and delicious with attention to detail and surprises. The wine pairing includes 3 glasses - Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc, and Burgundy. I enjoyed the Burgundy, as it is my favorite type.

I enjoyed a voluminous course cooked in a rich and classic French butter sauce. The shrimp tartare at the beginning was well accented with pickles and onion-like aromatic vegetables. The consommé jelly and the accompaniment of Four-Ten beef from Kochi also had pickled vegetables with a sour touch, giving it a unique flavor. The soup with truffles and plenty of mushrooms is served with the aroma sealed in a film. During chestnut season, the combination of Earl Grey ice cream, muscat grapes, and Marsala wine was delicious and a pleasant surprise. Thank you for the autumn-themed course!

A hidden gem French restaurant located at Ichijiri Ohashi. A small restaurant with private rooms available. Even without a private room, there are partitions that create a sense of privacy. The course menu is surprisingly priced at ¥6500, with generous portions and high quality. Personally, I really enjoyed the main dishes of fish and meat.

I went with my colleagues from work! Once again, every dish was delicious! The grilled shirako was like a crispy spring roll, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. I also recommend trying the grilled tilefish scales for its enjoyable texture. I'm not a big wine drinker, but for those who enjoy wine, the wine pairing is recommended (*^^*)

After the state of emergency was lifted, my friend and I visited to celebrate our birthdays. It had been 1 year and 2 months since our last visit. No matter how many times I go, I am always impressed by the food. The main fish dish was Pacific saury, and it was delicious being served whole! It was cooked in the oven after being confit, so it was crispy and flavorful all the way to the head and bones. I felt so happy. The Earl Grey ice cream and Mont Blanc dessert paired perfectly! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Today, I had dinner at Prive de Lien. I was impressed by the great value and delicious food at Lien last time I visited, so I was curious about this sister restaurant. The 8-course meal at Prive de Lien was priced at 55,000 yen per person, which was truly amazing! The dishes for the day included: Corn chiffon cake with seared sardine and Parmesan, Mousse of Shimane Yaito skipjack tuna and grilled corn cocktail, Mousse of swordfish and scallop with anchovy and balsamic, Assorted Welsh cheeses with salad, Melon gazpacho with sweet shrimp and couscous, Grilled natural sweet sea bream from Miyagi prefecture with beurre blanc and tarragon, Roasted Yamagata beef thigh meat, White peach and mascarpone mousse with white peach compote and sorbet. My favorite was the "Corn chiffon cake with seared sardine and Parmesan". The corn and cheese flavors in the cake were delicious and paired well with the mascarpone. The seared sardine was also a perfect match. The "Grilled natural sweet sea bream from Miyagi prefecture" was another highlight with crispy scales and juicy meat. While I still think Lien may be slightly better in terms of quality, the variety and quantity of ingredients in each dish at Prive de Lien for the price of 55,000 yen was truly surprising. The wine pairing with 4 glasses for 4,400 yen was also very reasonable. We had a sparkling, 2 whites, and a red. The sommelier was unique and provided interesting explanations. The total bill for two people was 23,100 yen, including the course, bread, beer, and wine pairing. The 5% service charge was also a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience!

I dug up some photos from when I attended an event organized by regulars here in 2018. Ikejiri is within walking distance from Shibuya and has many restaurants with good volume and value. Even though I lived in Shibuya during my university days, I didn't visit here much, but I occasionally stop by now. I think we had a pre-event at Fujiya Honten in Shibuya before walking to Ikejiri, as Fujiya was closing around that time. I wandered around the area where Aomame got off the Metropolitan Expressway at the beginning of 1Q84... and finally arrived at the restaurant. There is a counter, but it was almost like a private booking. The open kitchen would be good for small groups to watch the cooking. We had around 8 dishes, please see the menu image. Everything was delicious. The portions were generous, maybe even too much for women? But everyone finished their meals. The participation fee was 5000 yen, and we could choose our wine from several options. I had a little wine as I had already been drinking. I would like to visit this restaurant again once the COVID-19 situation settles down, not just because of the surprise dessert.

"Privé de Lien" is a French restaurant located in a quiet residential area about a 5-minute walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station in Tokyo. I became a big fan after just one visit, recommended by a friend. I want to keep it a secret, but it's such a wonderful restaurant that I have to share it with you!
Recommended points:
- A great value full course meal with 8 dishes for 5000 yen
- Attentive service and cozy atmosphere
- Wine pairing options available to complement the dishes
Privé de Lien is the second restaurant of the French restaurant "Lien," which has won the Tabelog Award BRONZE for 4 consecutive years. They only offer an omakase course of 8 dishes for 5000 yen. The interior is warm and modern, creating a comfortable dining experience for family gatherings, dinners with friends, birthdays, and other special occasions. The delicious food and heartfelt service from the staff are reasons why you'll want to keep coming back.
Chef Akira Tsukamoto, who has been the sous chef at Lien since its opening, is in charge at Privé de Lien.
Overall impression:
- Food: Excellent
- Service: Excellent
- Value for money: Excellent
- Atmosphere: Excellent
If you're in Tokyo, I highly recommend visiting Privé de Lien for a memorable dining experience.

The foie gras nugget sticks were delicious no matter what you paired them with. It was my first time realizing the perfect pairing with wine. The portion was generous and I couldn't finish it all, but they kindly packed the leftover meat for me to take home. I definitely want to come back again.

A generous 5000 yen course with plenty of volume. While the drinks may be a bit pricey, the dishes are very affordable and you get a lot of food, making it very satisfying. Each dish is delicate and beautifully presented, leaving you impressed with each serving. The brioche was especially delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. I'm not very familiar with French cuisine, but the staff kindly introduced me to the dishes and wine, making it a fun and enjoyable experience. I would love to visit again.

- Deep-fried Chiba Prefecture baby sweetfish, leek rusk, wild vegetable chiffon cake
- Nagasaki Prefecture yellowtail, green pepper, new onion mousse
- Aomori Prefecture scallops and firefly squid sautéed with egg, clam extract, spinach oil
- Welsh cheese salad
- Seasonal vegetable truffle-flavored consommé soup
- Nagasaki Prefecture sautéed mackerel with butter blanc caper
- Iwate Prefecture roast white pork with orange sauce
- Sakura cocktail - Sakura blancmange, jelly, strawberry
The leek rusk with baby sweetfish and the wild vegetable chiffon cake were both delightful with their unique bitterness. The sautéed mackerel was impressively thick and tender. These two dishes are a must-try! The dessert featuring various forms of sakura was also impressive, with sakura leaf blancmange, sakura flower blancmange, sakura syrup, sakura mousse, sakura cookie, all coming together beautifully.

I had a French dinner with friends at this restaurant for the first time. They offer a 5000 yen course menu, and the atmosphere is slightly casual but with a cozy feeling due to the discreet partitions between tables. We started with a sparkling wine Thierry Triolet for a toast before the course began. The dishes included seared cherry salmon with wild vegetables chiffon cake, yellowtail with new onion mousse, sautéed scallops and firefly squid with clam essence and spinach oil, cheese salad with 4 varieties of Welsh cheese, truffle-flavored consommé soup, sautéed mackerel with Amerine sauce, roasted white pork with creamy tangy sauce, and a strawberry glass dessert. The meal ended with canelé and chocolate truffle. The full course was impressive and well worth the 5000 yen. The attention to detail and delicious flavors left us all impressed. I would definitely visit this wonderful restaurant again if it were nearby.
