It's a jazz cafe, and if you don't dislike jazz, it's a place with a low threshold where you can enjoy and feel comfortable. The jazz cafe seems quite famous. Located on the 2nd floor of a building in Akasaka, the Showa-era building is clean and has a sense of cleanliness, and the interior is a stylish space. As soon as you enter, there is a main counter in front of you, and there is a table seat. The previous customers were enjoying themselves, reading books or listening to jazz. Magazines and books were available for loan inside the store. (This store was featured in a recent magazine ^^) It turns into a bar at night, with a wide variety of alcohol options, and you can also order in the evening. Conversation is also allowed. The daytime staff are easy to talk to, and I thought you could spend time in various ways. In the cafe menu, there are two types of chai drinks that caught my attention. In addition to coffee, there is also cafe latte, which I ordered. It was a bit pricey at 750 yen, but it seemed reasonable given the location. The latte had plenty of milk and was served cold. It was refreshing in the heat. I was given two caramel-like treats as a kind of appetizer. They were not too sweet and delicious. The sandwiches and other light meals also looked delicious. In terms of jazz, the rows of records on the walls and ceiling were impressive. There is one speaker that reaches the entire room, and this time it was playing a CD, but it had quite an impact. I was told that it was live recordings of veteran Japanese artists. A jazz cafe where you can immerse yourself in the music and spend time surrendering your body. I still love it. There were also people tapping their hands or bodies to the rhythm, which was nice to see again. I wish I could come here often if it were closer. Next time, I'll come during the evening, for bar time. (There is also a lot of art inside the store, with coasters featuring jazz musicians painted by a certain artist. The cups and saucers also had various designs.)

A sophisticated jazz bar in Akasaka. Visited for the first time with a friend. The lovely lady owner greeted us at the small counter. We were served drinks along with some snacks. It's a classy place that we don't usually go to. Thank you for the hospitality.

This is a long-established jazz bar located on Ichigokado Street in Akasaka. It was founded in Harajuku in 1977 and is a well-known hidden gem. Due to the redevelopment of the Harajuku area, it relocated to Akasaka in 2011. The bar has a collection of 3,000 records. If you look up from the street, you will see the iconic record sign of the bar. I personally have limited knowledge about jazz, only recognizing some popular tunes. I was not aware of this bar's existence, but I always noticed the sign and photos on Ichigokado Street whenever I passed by. The bar offers a relaxing atmosphere with quality music and coffee during the afternoon. They have a limited menu with items such as Pastrami Beef Sandwich and Fruit Pound Cake with ice cream. I visited during the day and found the interior to be warm and inviting, with a simple entrance, natural light, and a variety of seating options. The background jazz music creates a calm and pleasant ambiance. The menu includes coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, and two food options. I ordered the Pastrami Beef Sandwich with coffee, which was served with a generous portion of Brazilian coffee. The sandwich was lightly toasted with lettuce, pastrami beef, and a flavorful mustard and tonkatsu sauce. The service was a bit slow due to the owner handling everything alone, but waiting while listening to jazz was enjoyable. This is a place where you can relax and take your time, so I recommend visiting when you have some free time.
