Popular restaurant. Piedmontese cuisine. 10,000 yen course. The appetizers were especially delicious. The atmosphere inside is elegant and sophisticated, more suitable for gentlemen and ladies than young people. The wine selection is impressive, perfect for Italian wine lovers to enjoy a bottle slowly. I heard that the owner used to work at a winery. Thank you for reading until the end. I visited Trattoria Tornavento in Nishi-Azabu. It's an Italian restaurant run by people from Piedmont. The atmosphere inside is calm, and the dishes are delicate and delicious. I think it's suitable for various occasions like dates, business meetings, or quiet family dinners.

I had a dinner meeting at Tornavento, a restaurant in Nishi-Azabu that serves traditional dishes from Piedmont, in northern Italy. It was a refreshing change from the usual casual Italian restaurants, with a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere similar to French restaurants. The Porcini pasta was interesting, with very thin tagliolini noodles that reminded me of chicken ramen. The main dish of baby lamb with Gorgonzola was also delicious. The focaccia bread was incredibly tasty. I forgot to take a photo of the wine, but overall, the prices were a bit on the higher side. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Visited the Italian restaurant "Tornavento" in Nishi-Azabu. The quality of the food is exceptional, and what sets this place apart is the creative and unique dishes they serve each time. It's rare to find such skillful Italian cuisine. What we had: - Chilled white peach soup with prosciutto - Homemade bread - Baked ayu confit in pastry - Baked eggplant with mascarpone and Parmigiano - Summer porcini mushroom and egg noodle pasta - Piedmontese specialty "Bisteccino" (layered lamb and Gorgonzola cheese with hazelnuts) - Cheese platter - Sheep's foot melon and banana gelato - Coffee We enjoyed a glass of wine followed by bottles of Gaja Rossj-Bass Langhe 2019 and G.J. Vajra Albe Barolo 2017. Both were delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Family-like atmosphere, reservation made 2 weeks ago, wonderful service, all other tables were full. Tables were spaced out for a relaxing experience. Delicious food, perfect for a girls' night out. The specialty dish was amazing, pasta was delicious. Enjoyed a glass of wine. Thank you for the meal.

My husband's family are regulars, so we visited. We had a reservation at 7 pm and used a private room. The restaurant is a hidden gem in a residential area in Nishi-Azabu. It's not the kind of place you stumble upon. Inside, the restaurant is very cozy and small. The lady who explained the menu was very kind and the service was perfect. As for the food... everything was delicious. The wine selection was also perfect. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be this delicious. It's so good that I don't want to tell anyone about this place. I will definitely go back.

I visited the Italian restaurant Tornavento, overflowing with the love for Piedmont by Chef Shogo Kobayashi. He trained at the Michelin-starred restaurant La ciau del Tornavento in Piedmont, and his courses are a perfect blend of local flavors and refined techniques. While hearty Italian cuisine is popular among Japanese on social media, there are many Italian restaurants in Tokyo offering a variety of regional dishes. I recommend exploring restaurants like Tornavento that focus on authentic regional Italian cuisine for a truly enjoyable experience with great ambiance and service. Tonight's menu included veal with tuna sauce, horse meat tartare with truffles, oven-baked caponata, white truffle and cream egg cheese cocotte, Piedmontese tajarin pasta with blue cheese and autumn truffles, lamb and hazelnut breaded beefsteak with Piedmontese Gorgonzola cheese, and Gianduja chocolate soufflé. It was a delightful dinner experience!

A small and intimate high-end Italian restaurant in Nishi-Azabu recommended by a gourmet. They said it was the most delicious Italian they had ever tried. The menu features dishes from the Piedmont region, all listed on a large blackboard. The pasta cutlet with foie gras and strawberries, along with wood ear mushrooms filled with blue cheese, is a unique and delicious combination. While the restaurant may not be flashy, it is highly recommended for true food enthusiasts.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Roppongi Station, this restaurant is run by a chef and a madame, providing a luxurious dining experience for two groups at a time. It is known for serving authentic Piedmont cuisine. We enjoyed a course meal that included dishes such as flounder carpaccio, roasted ham with fig, gorgonzola mushrooms, clams, scallops, langoustine, tagliolini with porcini and truffle, lamb, hazelnut gianduja, and black fig. Each dish was carefully prepared and had a sincere, delicious taste. The ham and fig dish was particularly delicious, and paired well with the wine. The pasta was tagliolini, which I personally love. The main course was lamb, with a unique texture from the hazelnuts that I enjoyed. It truly is an adult space with a great atmosphere, and I would love to visit again.

Tornavento is a hidden gem Italian restaurant that opened in 2005 in Nishi-Azabu, serving traditional dishes from Piedmont, Northern Italy. The owner and chef, Kobayashi, trained in Piedmont and offers only omakase courses. The dining experience is full of surprises as you don't know what dish will come next. The meal starts with a toast of San Pellegrino, followed by a colorful Carpaccio of Chiagi with caviar and a light vinaigrette. Homemade bread includes onion focaccia and grissini. The meal continues with Parma ham and Gorgonzola cheese, spaghetti with eel and homemade bottarga, hand-cut tagliatelle with lamb ragu, and grilled lamb loin. Dessert is a hazelnut semifreddo. The meal concludes with herbal tea. The restaurant is known for its excellent pasta and dishes featuring Piedmont's specialties like porcini mushrooms. A must-visit spot for autumn when porcini dishes are in season.

I visited an Italian restaurant in the residential area near the intersection of Nishi-Azabu, which is one of the top 100 restaurants in the Tabelog 2021 rankings. The restaurant specializes in dishes from the Piedmont region in northern Italy. - Cheers drink: San Pellegrino - Chef's course: ¥10,000 - Homemade focaccia (onion, rosemary, grissini): The focaccia was hot, fluffy, and moist, very delicious. - Raw amberjack carpaccio: Thick amberjack slices with caviar and tangy dressing, a delicious combination that you can't get enough of. - Aged Parma ham, Gorgonzola cheese: A generous portion that gets you excited! Cutting into the Parma ham reveals large chunks of figs and Gorgonzola with a hint of honey for a gentle sweetness. - Two types of pasta: - Spaghetti with Edo-style conger eel and homemade bottarga - Tagliatelle with white lamb ragu - Grilled lamb back meat: Tender and juicy, this grilled dish brings out the best of charcoal grilling. - Semifreddo: The texture of hazelnuts adds a nice touch. - Coffee: A classic and delicious choice. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant allows you to relax and enjoy your meal. Thank you for the feast.

I made a reservation for a lunch course costing 11,000 yen two weeks ago. The course includes two appetizers, seafood (scallops), pasta, meat (lamb), dessert, drink, and a chocolate dish. The portion sizes are relatively large, and when including bread, you will feel full. The taste is not surprising, but very faithful to the basics. It resembles Italian restaurants like Bisbocca, Sfollina, and Elio Locanda, but each dish has a depth that clearly surpasses them. I believe it's due to the skill of the chef. The focaccia with olive oil was top-notch. I will definitely visit again. However, it lacks a lively atmosphere, so I recommend it more for a formal setting.

I visited the Italian restaurant "TORNAVENTO" in Tokyo, which is ranked as one of the top 100 Italian restaurants in 2021 with a rating of 3.77 on Tabelog. Located in Nishi-Azabu, the restaurant is tucked away in a back alley near a crossroads. The exterior is stylish with a decorated entrance adorned with plants. The interior features Italian-style decor with paintings, creating a chic and atmospheric ambiance. This restaurant is known for serving traditional dishes from the Piedmont region in northern Italy, where ingredients like truffles, porcini mushrooms, and game meats are abundant. The seasonal menu includes dishes like crab and carpaccio, ham and gorgonzola cheese, oven-baked onions, ragu sauce pasta, and roasted lamb. The course meal ends with dessert, espresso coffee, and chocolate. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious, offering a taste of classic Italian cuisine. Overall, it's a great restaurant with a cozy atmosphere.

Located just a short walk from the Nishi-Azabu intersection in a quiet alley, Tornavento is an Italian restaurant that has garnered mixed reviews online. While some mention strict no-photo policies and unique service from the madame, our experience was quite the opposite. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to take photos without any issues. The restaurant boasts traditional Piedmont cuisine and a diverse wine list featuring many local selections. Prices range from affordable to high-end, offering a fun selection for wine enthusiasts. The appetizers were beautifully presented, with a refreshing fish-based dish and a delicious assortment of vegetables topped with caviar. The standout was the bread, with a unique texture and various flavors that paired perfectly with the cheese. The ham and gorgonzola bruschetta was a delightful combination of salty ham, creamy cheese, and sweet honey. The white asparagus with tomato-flavored scrambled eggs was a harmonious blend of juicy asparagus, rich eggs, and tangy tomatoes. The handmade tagliatelle was reminiscent of gourmet instant noodles, with a rough-ground meat sauce that paired well with the pasta. The lamb and blue cheese dish was a complex mix of flavors and textures, showcasing the chef's skill. The dessert, an Italian-style apple pie called strudel, was a homemade treat that was rich and satisfying. With a course menu, a bottle of wine, and a glass each, the total bill came out to just over 20,000 yen per person. While on the pricier side for Italian cuisine, the quality of the food, service, and ambiance made it a worthwhile experience. Tornavento is a great choice for a special occasion or entertaining clients, offering a sophisticated dining experience for discerning adults.

It's been a while since I visited Tornevent in Nishi-Azabu, and as always, the food was truly delicious! I highly recommend everyone to try it. This restaurant serves dishes from the Piedmont region of Italy. What's remarkable about this place is that every time you visit, there are new and innovative items on the menu, offering something different from the last time. The consistency in the presentation of the dishes and the close relationship with the restaurant are also great. (They are currently operating with shortened hours, have a rainbow mark indicating infection control measures, and are taking proper precautions. I took a taxi to and from the restaurant as I am afraid of taking the train. Today, there were no other customers, and it seemed quite challenging for them.) The special New Year's dish was Pot-au-feu, but the rest of the menu was the regular offerings. The menu included: - Warm carpaccio of fresh squid and bottarga - Seasonal vegetables (artichokes, etc.) with sformato, spinach and gorgonzola cheese, served with Kitaakari potato chips - Gratin of leeks with fontina cheese, garnished with truffles - Tomato risotto with various vegetables using the broth from the Pot-au-feu - Traditional Italian New Year's dish, a pot-au-feu of various meats (pancetta, pork spare ribs, beef tongue, shredded chicken, beef shank, various sausages made with different cuts, beef tail) with 7 sauces (2 types of bagnet sauce, pickled wasabi vinegar sauce, whole grain mustard, apricot purée sauce, homemade mayonnaise, salt) - Apple strudel (Hungarian traditional dish) - A bottle of wine (Malvira), two glasses of wine, and a dessert wine, totaling around 20,000 yen per person. The chef's special course is available for 10,000 yen. The husband trained in Italy, while the wife trained at the Malvira winery in Piedmont, so the wine selection includes Barolo, Barbaresco, and many Malvira wines, which are all delicious! The dessert wine, also from Malvira, was slightly sparkling, highly aromatic, and had a fruity flavor, which was fantastic. We also enjoyed a red wine blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot from Tuscany, called Cinquanta e Cinquanta, which was also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It has been a while since my last visit. It was also a long time since I had a course meal instead of à la carte. The dish that left the best impression was the Tagliolini. It was as delicious as ever, and the tomato sauce was also very tasty. The Zuppa had a deep flavor and was good. It made me realize that even a single dish can vary depending on the restaurant. I was reasonably satisfied with the Second course, the roasted lamb. The only thing I found a bit underwhelming was the oyster appetizer. Perhaps ordering by the glass contributed to the wine bill being higher than expected. I might consider ordering a bottle next time. Overall, I still think the true value of this place lies in their à la carte menu.

This is a restaurant where you need permission to take photos! I forgot to take one, but the food was really delicious, and the Piedmontese cuisine was very tasty! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also very nice, and you can eat calmly. People who know about this kind of restaurant will be popular, I think! It has a hidden gem vibe, and I didn't know about it at all, so I'm glad I found out about this delicious restaurant. I definitely want to go again!

It is located quite close to the intersection of Mabu, but the restaurant is in a quiet residential area. When you enter a narrow street, you will find a hidden gem restaurant that looks like it came out of Andersen's fairy tales, called Tornavento. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and the hostess is very kind and escorts you nicely, leaving a great impression. We ordered a la carte, and the menu is chosen from the blackboard. They explain it carefully. You can enjoy dishes from Piedmont, northern Italy, which is a genre I love. The baked eggplant with cheese (I'm not sure of the name) was very delicious and I felt like one was not enough! Tears of joy, onto the next pasta. We had a cute rigatoni with tomato-based sauce. The next pasta was tagliatelle. Very delicious!! It was very delicious, but overall a bit small, so as someone who eats a lot, I would be happier if there was a little more volume. It's a high-end restaurant, so the stylish little by little style is expected. Tears. However, the service was very good, the food was delicious, and I am very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
