I was a little late in writing this draft... I had some errands at Tokyu Store and decided to have lunch here as well. It was Sunday at 3:10 pm and there were about 3 groups in the restaurant. I ordered the beef tongue set meal for 1380 yen, which came with unlimited rice and grated yam. There were various condiments available: 1) Moromi miso 2) Black shichimi pepper 3) Garlic chive soy sauce 4) Special salt lemon 5) Butterbur miso 6) Kyoto Kujo green onion salt sauce. The tail soup arrived in about 5 minutes. It was okay, but lacked depth in flavor and was slightly salty. Next, I tried the beef tongue with the Garlic chive soy sauce. The sauce was salty... The beef tongue itself was average. The rice was delicious, made with polished rice instead of barley rice. I then tried the Special salt lemon sauce, which was quite good! I also tried the beef tongue stew, which was really tasty! It was even better than the thinly sliced beef tongue! The Garlic chive soy sauce was a bit too salty, and the Butterbur miso sauce had a nice green onion aroma but was also a bit salty. I wanted to squeeze some lemon on it. I tried the Moromi miso sauce and the Black shichimi pepper, but they didn't seem to go well with the beef tongue, so I just licked them (lol). Overall, there was a tendency to use too much salt. I had 3 servings of grated yam and rice each, and then paid the bill. To my surprise, the bill showed a promotion for 1000 yen! There was no promotion notice inside or outside the restaurant, but hey, if I can get unlimited yam and beef tongue for 1000 yen, it's a great deal! I suddenly felt like I got a great deal and raised my rating (lol). This promotion is apparently available until the end of July, so be sure to check it out!
