This is the eel restaurant I always visit at Solamachi. The atmosphere here is very pleasant. I enjoy my meal in a leisurely pace as time passes by. The eel is delicious, and the seasonal desserts are also impressive with the dedication of the chefs. I would like to visit the main store, a long-established eel restaurant in Asakusa, in the future.

We visited this restaurant with our family when we went to Skytree. The day before our visit, the Asakusa main store happened to be featured on TV. We arrived during lunchtime and there was only one other group of customers (2 people) in the restaurant. They were very kind and accommodating, offering us a spacious table where we could park our stroller and adjusting the dishes according to our child's needs. The eel was cooked in the Kanto style, steamed before being grilled, so it wasn't greasy at all. The eel, seasoned with their secret sauce, was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

The other day's lunch at Tokyo Solamachi. Had una-ju (eel rice bowl) at Maekawa Unagi. Wanted to go for the top grade Bando Taro's una-ju, but it was sold out. Ah, it was so delicious. #una-ju #soramachi #lunch #solamachi gourmet #eel #luxurious lunch #foodstagram #tokyo #tokyo solamachi #komagata maekawa #japanese food #foodporn #foodgasm #instafood #foodstagram #eatstagram #foodie #japan

This is a place I always visit, a cozy eel restaurant where time flows gently unlike other places. The manager and staff are very attentive, making it a comfortable place to dine. It's more suited for those who want to leisurely enjoy their meal rather than eat quickly and move on. Well, it's an eel restaurant, so it's to be expected, haha. My usual order is the Sumida River Pale Ale to quench my thirst, a sashimi platter, and an eel bowl. I also recommend trying the yuba sashimi occasionally.

I had a wonderfully beautiful dessert. The eel, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the staff were all amazing, but once again, I was impressed by the dessert to the point where I felt it was a shame to eat it. Komagata Maekawa Tokyo Skytree Soramachi store always provides the best dining experience, highly recommended.

In the bustling Solamachi filled with tourists, this restaurant is easy to get into without a reservation probably because of its high prices. However, the cost performance is not good. There is nothing special about the regular unagi dishes, and at 5,000 yen, it seems overpriced for a tourist spot. It might be better to look elsewhere if you're seeking good taste.

This is my favorite eel restaurant that I always visit. I have never been to the main store in Asakusa, but I hope to sit by the Sumida River someday. This time, I had sashimi, eel liver skewers, and eel rice bowl. The fluffy eel is always excellent. Fortunately, they had Bando Taro eel today, so I tried one. It was amazing.

This is the eel restaurant at Solamachi that I always visit. The main store is a long-established eel restaurant in Asakusa. The friendly staff make the atmosphere even better. You can quench your thirst with Sumida River Pale Ale, enjoy sashimi and grilled eel with sake, and easily reach the peak of happiness by finishing with an eel bento box.

It was a weekend afternoon that seemed like it would be crowded, but I was unable to make a reservation, so I lined up a little before the opening. Surprisingly, I was the first one to enter the restaurant! I ordered the following items (tax included):
- Eel rice (large) ... 6,400 yen (with liver +400 yen)
- Assorted delicacies ... 1,250 yen
- Nara Kisensukichi Junmai Ginjo 1.5g ... 1,350 yen
I was planning to leisurely enjoy the assorted delicacies with Nara Kisensukichi, but the eel rice was served quickly, changing the main event of the day. The eel was tender, the sauce was not too sweet, and the portion of rice was just right. I realized that I could have enjoyed some drinks before ordering the eel, as it didn't take long to be served. Unfortunately, I had no time to spare that day, so I left the restaurant right after finishing my meal. The food was delicious! The restaurants at Solamachi were all crowded, and as I left, there was a long line outside this restaurant as well...

The weekday limited unadon (3,500 yen) is a half portion but feels a bit lacking in value at Solamachi course. The appetizers include sea pineapple, marinated firefly squid, and plum jelly, perfect with sake. Compare the unajyu course with the freshly arrived Bakuto Taro eel. The texture and thickness are truly impressive with Bakuto Taro eel. You won't notice the difference unless you try them together. The staff's service is enjoyable and pleasant. I went expecting to eat eel for the first time in a while! It was a Saturday night, but there were no waiting customers, so my family of four was able to enter right away. The regular size cost 5,300 yen!! It was a bit pricey, but we ordered and it arrived in about 20 minutes. When I opened the lid of the box, I was surprised to find that there was not much rice. The person at the next table had ordered extra rice, but I couldn't find it on the menu. I took a bite and it was delicious! The eel tasted really good, maybe because it had been a while. The seasoning was just right, not too sweet or too salty. However, after a few bites, I noticed there were a lot of bones. And a few times, the bones attacked me in my mouth. The taste was good, but considering the ease of eating, portion size, and price, I think the local eel restaurant might be better. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the Skytree branch of the long-established restaurant Maekawa in Asakusa for the first time. While other shops had long lines with dozens of people, this slightly pricey lunch spot was easy to get into. It had been about 15 years since I last visited the Asakusa main store. Today, they didn't have their signature dish, Bando Taro, so I had the large portion of eel rice bowl and some eel liver. Since it was lunchtime, the food arrived relatively quickly, in about 10 minutes. The nicely grilled eel looked appetizing with its color. When I tasted it, the crispy flavor, plump meat, and the traditional unsweetened sauce on the eel paired well with the rice. I savored the dish while resisting the urge to devour it all at once. Just a note, the regular portion may have a small amount of rice, so I recommend getting the large portion which is about the same amount as a regular portion in other shops, albeit for an additional 220 yen. Despite their somewhat stingy reputation, Maekawa still surprisingly includes a dessert fruit as a default. I'm not sure if it's good service or what, but it was a delicious meal.

The eel here is amazing. How many times have you been here? The alcohol and snacks are excellent as well, but of course, the eel is the best. The warmth of the manager and staff at the store is also wonderful. I would like to visit again.

Unagi-don for 5,300 yen. The difference from the higher-priced option is the size of the eel. This time, I ordered the regular size. It came out in about 10 minutes, which was lucky as there wasn't much of a wait for an unagi restaurant. In addition to the unagi-don, it came with pickles, soup, and an orange for dessert. The chopsticks were bamboo. The eel was about 5 pieces per kilo, a standard size for the regular option. The eel had no fishy smell, but I would have been happier if the meat was a bit thicker. The sauce wasn't too sweet, and the sansho pepper wasn't too strong. Overall, I enjoyed a normal unagi-don.

At lunchtime in a quiet street, I wanted to have lunch but every restaurant had a long line, so it seemed like a long wait... However, there was one restaurant that was very empty! When I saw the prices, I understood why. But my companion wanted to eat eel, so we went in. We ordered the "premium" eel dish, and it was indeed delicious. It was nice that they had a children's menu too.

I brought my mother to Solamachi because the number of COVID cases has decreased a bit and she hasn't been able to go out much. Since my mother loves eel, we decided to have it here. We chose the Jyo (upper) option at Bando Taro, and upgraded to liver sashimi for an additional 400 yen. The dish was served after a while. When I opened the lid, a delicious aroma filled the air! The eel was so tender, you could tell just by poking it with chopsticks. The sauce was not too heavy, with a subtle sweetness and a hint of spiciness in the middle. I decided to sprinkle some sansho pepper on it, which I prefer. I was so hungry that I finished it in no time. My mother also seemed satisfied with the eel after a long time. I would like to bring her here again in the future. Thank you for the meal! ☺︎

This is a long-established eel restaurant in Edo, located on the 7th floor of Skytree Town. I went for lunch today and was able to get in easily. I ordered the grilled eel rice bowl for 4,800 yen. The staff warned me that our sansho pepper is spicy, but it was just the right amount of heat. The eel was grilled perfectly and paired well with the sauce, making it incredibly delicious. Truly a top-notch restaurant from Edo. Compared to a famous eel restaurant I visited last month in Mishima, personally, I prefer this one. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

After golf practice, I stopped by Solamachi and there were many shops to choose from. However, I couldn't resist the allure of eel and visited Unagi Maekawa. Unfortunately, they only had one serving of Bando Taro, so I ordered grilled eel liver and eel rice bowl instead. The texture was fluffy and very delicious, but the sauce and eel itself tasted a bit light.

Visited Skytree during a collaboration event with Demon Slayer ^ ^ ♪ It was crowded with people on a holiday! I was so hungry that I decided to have a meal at Solamachi. All the restaurants in Solamachi were crowded~ I managed to get in without waiting in line. The atmosphere in this restaurant was calm compared to the crowded areas. I finally found a space free from the crowds. The eel rice bowl with sauce on top was to my liking! My stomach was satisfied and I was able to relax, but I felt like I wanted to try the eel at the main store instead ^^; Thank you for the meal!

I visited the Tokyo Skytree Solamachi branch of the long-established eel cuisine specialty restaurant "Maekawa" in Asakusa. It was 6:00 pm on a weekday, and the restaurant floor at Solamachi was not crowded. As I wandered around deciding what to eat, the word "eel" caught my eye. Let's have some eel after a long time♪ The restaurant was quite spacious with a good number of seats. I ordered the following while enjoying a non-alcoholic beer:
- Eel Rice Bowl (Special) for 6,800 yen
Changed the soup to liver soup for an additional 300 yen
The eel is said to be farmed in Chiba. The eel was plump and had a typical Kanto-style grilled eel taste, but I found the sauce a bit too sweet and it felt a bit heavy towards the end. The grilled color on the meat side was good, but the skin side felt slightly undercooked. Even though the rice was steamed, I wished it had a more fragrant flavor. The portion of rice was small, so it may not be satisfying for men. The eel itself is large and seems to be proportional to the price, but I still had doubts about whether the taste of the long-established restaurant has been properly inherited here.
- Today's Sashimi for 1,800 yen
Squid, scallop, octopus, tuna
- Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) for 1,000 yen
You can hear the sound of eggs being mixed in the kitchen. It's a sweet tamagoyaki♪ Fluffy and freshly grilled, this softness is nice. It's quite sweet, but I like this kind of taste too! I just wish they had provided more grated daikon radish. Since I had the eel rice bowl, a normal tamagoyaki was enough.
The eel rice bowl I had was quite ordinary. It seems like you can only experience the true taste of the long-established restaurant at the main branch. I might have to give it another try. Thank you for the meal.
