I visited Harajuku Dog and Apple Raisin once again. I came for the half-price Friday bread deal, and bought some as souvenirs as well as for myself. Why is it called Harajuku Dog? I chose custard over cheese, and the custard on the simple sweet bread had a nostalgic taste. The Apple Raisin was packed with filling and had a great value. It's impressive that they can offer these at such a low price.

First Visit 202306 (No.4625) 1. Purpose of Visit - On the day, I was gathering material in the Shiba Park area, along with related topics. 2. Shop Information - Genre on Tabelog: Bread, Sandwiches, Cafe - A cafe operated by "Shinbashi Bakery," a high-end bread specialty shop established in 1951 (Showa 26). - The sandwich bread used at the popular "American" in Ginza is actually produced here. - Business hours: Bread 07:30-19:00, Cafe 07:30-18:00 - Closed on Saturdays, Sundays - Seating for 38 people 3. Crowdedness and Atmosphere on the Day - Visited around 10:30 on a weekday, no other customers present. - Has a well-worn atmosphere, like a local bakery. 4. Customer Service - Service was as per the manual. 5. Order & Purchase Items ■ Morning Set (B Set) 580 yen The order was served in 7-8 minutes and included buttered toast, bacon and eggs, potato salad, lettuce, and jam. Good value for a morning set at this price. The buttered toast was delicious, as expected from a bakery cafe. ■ Pan de Mi 390 yen I aimed for the "Premium Bread," but it was out of stock, so I purchased the above item instead. It seems like it's about 1.5 pounds, and although it's slightly heavy, it's a dense bread that doesn't bounce back when sliced. It lacks a chewy texture, making it more suitable for toasting than eating plain. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Shokupan French Toast in Hamamatsucho, not Shinbashi, to buy some bread. I wanted some American-style bread, and on Fridays it's only 190 yen. I didn't need a whole loaf, so I bought a smaller size for home. I also got some French toast. The French toast was heavy! But when I ate it cold, it was made with lots of eggs and had a nice eggy texture, not too sweet and delicious. The bread was toasted with plenty of butter, giving it a crispy yet soft texture like at a cafe. I'll definitely go back for more.

I went to a cafe run by a bakery for lunch. I ordered the tomato gratin. When you order lunch, you get unlimited bread in a basket. I was more interested in the unlimited bread. All the bread was delicious. The tomato gratin I ordered had gooey cheese and paired perfectly with the bread. Bread lovers will definitely enjoy it.

I had been curious about this restaurant where you can eat all the bread you want. I visited around 11:40 on a weekday. The inside of the restaurant had 8 tables and was about half full. More customers kept coming in, and by noon, it was full with several groups waiting. Even if you are alone, you can be seated at a table for four people, and there is no sharing, so you can relax. In conclusion, I felt that this is a place where people who love eating a lot and want to eat plenty of bread can be happy. When you order a lunch menu, you can eat all the bite-sized assorted bread, pastries, and sandwiches. I ordered the Chicken Gratin (900 yen) and started eating bread right away. (Later I realized that this choice was completely wrong...) There is a steel rack in the center of the restaurant with bread placed on it. As others have mentioned, it is quite dirty. It's not unbearable, but I think it's much dirtier than a regular household. I believe it's just aged, so I start taking bread. There are baskets with assorted bread and pastries, as well as sandwiches, all with a wide variety and plenty of them. They are frequently replenished, so there are always several types of bread available. The sandwiches have fluffy bread and lots of fillings, and I was surprised that this was all you can eat! You can even just eat sandwiches all day and still get a great deal for lunch. I happily ate about 10 pieces of my favorite bread while waiting for the Chicken Gratin to arrive. When it arrived, I was speechless at the incredible volume. Why is there bread as a container for the gratin, and why add even more bread with the coppe bread? Despite the main being carbohydrates, why add insult to injury with ketchup pasta and potato salad, both of which are also carbohydrates? While pondering these questions, I first enjoyed the salad that was shining so brightly in the carbohydrate paradise. There is also plenty of it. The gratin was piping hot. The taste of the gratin itself is somewhat bland, so I got tired of it, but the bread in the container was undeniably delicious with its fluffy texture. I repeat, the bread is delicious, but the volume is a mistake. I managed to eat about half of the container part, but I had to give up... I am not a big eater, so I felt guilty for not being able to finish it all... I regret not choosing a main dish like ginger pork or chicken steak. The feeling of guilt for leaving food behind lingers, but the all-you-can-eat bread is so enjoyable with a variety of options, so I think it's recommended for those who can eat a lot. Thank you for the meal.

I thought that the bread buffet at Shinbashi Bakery in Akabanebashi, where you can pay an additional 150 yen, would have few options and average taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. The variety and taste were beyond my expectations for the price. I ended up having about 8 plates worth for less than 1,000 yen, so I felt guilty about getting change back in the end.

I searched to buy bread for the next day and found this place nearby, so I decided to stop by. They seem to supply famous American bakeries, but since I'm the only one who eats bread at home, I gave up on buying a loaf. Instead, I purchased a Butter Hearth Half for 190 yen. It's a soft and fluffy bread with a hint of butter spread on top. The butter flavor is not very strong. It's so soft that I could tear it with my hands. It has a gentle taste and was delicious.

Shimbashi Bakery Shinbori branch, a 5-minute walk from Shiodome Station, is where the famous sandwich shop "American" in Higashi-Ginza uses their bread. I ordered the morning A set and C set. I remember that the A set was in the 300 yen range and the C set was in the 400 yen range before, but they have increased prices a bit. Still, it's affordable! The bread is delicious - I love the thick, crispy yet fluffy toast. Of course, I also bought a loaf of bread to take home on my way back. ✌️

Near Shiba Park, I was surprised to find many quaint shops in the area, despite it being surrounded by trendy establishments. Among them, this bakery stands out with its nostalgic atmosphere rather than a modern vibe. While the name suggests a bakery, it feels more like a traditional bread shop to me. The bread they sell is simple and robust, without any fancy varieties, which I found refreshing as it reflects the shop's commitment to the basics. They offer delicious bread that is both soft and crispy.

During pregnancy, I had a strong craving for bread, so I walked about 10 minutes from my workplace to satisfy it. I ordered an avocado shrimp bowl. While waiting for the rice to arrive, I indulged in all-you-can-eat bread. The bread wasn't freshly baked, but it was delicious! It's great that you can try various types of bread because they are small. In terms of cost performance, it might be good according to the menu. The avocado shrimp bowl tasted as expected with wasabi soy sauce flavor. Personally, I don't think I will repeat this, but if they improve the placement of the tongs, I might consider going back.

On Thursday at 12:35 pm, there were about three empty table seats. The bakery and cafe have separate entrances, so be careful. You can sit wherever you like. The facilities are quite old and the hygiene management is a bit questionable. However, the prices are low-cost and wallet-friendly. The menu prices include tax. I ordered the Hamburger & Chicken Doria. It was ready in about 15 minutes. While waiting, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat bread. There are two types of sandwiches and a variety of regular bread to choose from. The sandwiches are egg-based and there is also a chicken option, which was surprisingly good. The Wiener rolls and custard Danish were delicious. By the time the Hamburger & Chicken Doria arrived, I was already quite full from the bread. The portion was huge, with lots of cheese and very tasty, but I had to give up on the bread part after eating about two-thirds of it. It was a bit disappointing to leave food uneaten, but overall, it was a satisfying bread-filled day.

Many people have tried the oversized sandwich at that American bakery. It's filled to the brim with eggs and surprises many with how packed it is. The softness of the sandwich bread is due to it being freshly delivered from the bakery in the morning and afternoon. The bakery behind that famous bread is Shinbashi Bakery. Located on the first floor of a building during a walk from Hamamatsucho, Shinbashi Bakery's Shinbori branch is where it all begins. While primarily a bakery for commercial use, they also have retail outlets like the Mita branch and Shinbori branch where you can dine in as well. During lunchtime, they offer a variety of all-you-can-eat bread options, from stew and curry to doria and beef bowl. It may seem odd to buy bread at a bakery where you can eat all you want, but it's worth it. The place is somewhat dark but has a nice selection of items, including orange loaf with a refreshing bitter orange zest and butter raisin bread that is moist and delicious. The lunch menu offers a variety of bread options, and there are also sales on certain days for items like baguettes and cheesecakes.

[Date] Visited alone on a weekday at 6:00 PM. [Reservation] No reservation required, purchased without waiting. [Location] About a 10-minute walk from Shibakoen Station. The shop is located in a corner of a small shopping street. [Interior] There is also an eat-in space. In addition to bread, you can also enjoy café menu items such as pasta, stew, and hamburgers. I used takeout. [Order] It was close to closing time, so they had a half-price sale. Very lucky! - Orange Loaf: The refreshing orange zest is kneaded into the bread, adding a nice accent and making it delicious. - Anko Shokupan: Anko (sweet red bean paste) is kneaded into the bread. The amount of anko is just right. Perfect for those like me who feel there is too much anko in anpan. This was delicious! Thank you for the meal! [Service] The staff were quick and friendly. [Final thoughts] The balance of the mildly sweet anko was perfect! I recommend the Anko Shokupan! -------------- Instagram: somako_16 https://www.instagram.com/somako_16/ . I am exploring the areas around Hamamatsucho and Tamachi in Minato-ku. . I also post gourmet food from all over Japan.

After a long time, I went to New Bridge at Shinbashi Bakery and had omurice. The lunch menu had a variety of Western dishes, and since it is directly managed by Shinbashi Bakery, you get the perk of unlimited sandwiches and bread. It was past 1 pm, but there were many solo female customers, some opting for less rice in their loco moco to get more bread. The bread selection varied, but today they had my favorite chikuwa bread, so I grabbed two slices along with a ham cutlet sandwich and a tomato egg sandwich. The chikuwa bread at the self-serve corner was about a quarter of a slice in size, but considering it's usually 190 yen each at the bakery, it felt like a good deal. Then the salad and omurice arrived. The salad came with tomatoes and potato salad, while the omurice had a retro coffee shop look and a shiny appearance. The margarine-like flavor was a bit disappointing, but it passed the test. The interior of the not-so-clean store, the haphazardly arranged self-serve bread covered in plastic wrap, and the unfriendly service made the experience less enjoyable. Despite the average quality of the diverse Western menu, the bread from Shinbashi Bakery, combined with the carb paradise of unlimited servings, kept the customers coming.

Orange Loaf Half ¥210 I love to eat slowly at home. Oranges are my favorite. Oranges are refreshing and delicious. The fluffy bread with the refreshing taste of oranges is not too sweet and can be eaten for breakfast. Simple is best.

The cafe may not be stylish, but I got very full with the delicious stew toast lunch set. The all-you-can-eat bread in the set satisfied both my stomach and heart. I think even without the all-you-can-eat option, it's a lunch that can make women feel full enough.

Shinbashi Bakery Shinbori Store I had been wanting to visit this restaurant with a bread buffet that I was interested in for a long time. It became a PayPay Minato Ward 30% refund target store, so I was able to make my first visit. I entered the store before 12 pm on a weekday. Inside, there is a central cash register, with the bakery on the right and the eat-in space on the left. Since the cashier was busy, I had to wait for a long time, and when they finally finished, they just pointed silently to a table. Huh? There were several tables for 4 people with narrow spacing. I sat at a table in the back and immediately ordered what I had decided on. Pork Curry - 650 yen. The bread buffet was the main reason for my visit, so I chose the cheapest option. That's the reason. I went straight to the buffet table (stainless steel rack). There were no plates? When I asked, they silently pointed to the second row of the rack (Huh? Second time). It was a basket that seemed like it could be sold at a 100 yen store, with a sheet laid out. Oh, this way, you can put a lot without the risk of dropping compared to flat plates. Nice. There were two containers for bread. One contained cut sandwiches with ingredients like ham and cheese, egg, tuna and vegetables. Proper sandwiches! Amazing! The other container contained cut side dishes and sweet bread like cheese bread, melon bread, red bean paste bun, chocolate bread... a wide variety of options! The variety of bread is wonderful. Most bread buffet restaurants usually have simple bread, but this store offers bread with cream and cheese, which is great. The sandwiches are also fantastic! The taste is good too! However, the fact that the bread is cold affects the taste. It's disappointing, but it's difficult to replenish freshly baked bread every time. There is no toaster, but there is no space to place or wait, so it can't be helped. I filled the 100 yen store basket with plenty of bread and enjoyed it. Satisfied! At one point, when the bread and sandwiches were almost empty and left for a while, I informed the staff and they replenished it. By the way, it took quite a long time for the curry to come out. I think it's just a matter of serving rice, pouring curry, and adding Fukujinzuke, right? I was eating bread, so there was no problem waiting, but it's not a big deal. The taste of the curry is quite ordinary. There were 2-3 small pieces of pork in it. No vegetables. Oh, a salad also comes with it. Plenty of vegetables in a deep plate is nice. There was even potato salad! A group of four men sitting at the table next to me hardly ate any bread and just kept waiting for the food to be served. It's not good if you're in a hurry. When I was about to leave after paying, I noticed the service items in front of the bakery. A large focaccia for 150 yen, and three large plain buns for 200 yen! I bought them and had them at home - they were delicious when warmed up, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I had seen a review stating something like "I couldn't accept the service, so I won't come back" and I thought, "Ah, I see," and understood. While I wouldn't say the service was friendly, I would like them to at least improve to a normal level of service. But I liked the bread buffet and the variety of meal options (and it's cheap with the bread buffet included!), so I would love to visit again!

This is a café located at the end of the high-speed side of the Minato Ward/Shiba shopping street. They offer a cake set for 700 yen from 2 pm. I decided to give it a try, and the staff welcomed me. The café is connected to the neighboring bakery, where you can choose cakes like matcha roll cake, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. I ordered chocolate cake and hot coffee, and enjoyed a break with slightly acidic coffee and walnut cream cake. A pretty lady sitting nearby was enjoying the all-you-can-eat bread option that comes with lunch. I decided to buy some bread on my way out. The bakery had a variety of bread like Mont Blanc bread for 200 yen and egg and burdock root bread for 220 yen. I settled for these to take home for my son's breakfast the next day.

I went to a bakery within walking distance from my workplace to buy lunch on a weekday. They had a slightly spacious seating area, but I opted for takeout. I purchased a Petit Fromage, Yakisoba Pan, Curry Pan, and Sausage Roll. The Yakisoba Pan was not the typical type where the filling is sandwiched in a split Coppe Pan, but rather wrapped in the dough, making it less messy and easier to eat. The Petit Fromage was a small but delicious cheese-filled bread on a chewy white bread. The Curry Pan and Sausage Roll were nothing special, just like what you would find at a regular bakery.

The "British Bread Sandwich" at Shinbashi Bakery is a sandwich with rye bread filled with tuna, egg, cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, potato salad, bacon, and chicken. It's impressive how various ingredients coexist in one sandwich. Despite the rugged appearance of the bread, the refined visual is also lovely. The bread itself is delicious, satisfying to eat, and all for just 350 yen. Convenience store sandwiches pale in comparison. Shinbashi Bakery truly lives up to its name, and the term "British Bread" evokes a sense of nostalgia.
