In the past, there was a wonderful cafe called "Li Bai" in Jinbocho. Although it has a slightly different atmosphere from Li Bai's dignified ambiance, I think "Kusamakura" here is a great place. The central area of Tokyo is a world tainted with money and greed, but as soon as you step into Kusamakura, you are surrounded by classic books while listening to music played on records (I saw Saneki Miyuki's life notes for the first time in a while). It's like forgetting time and space, that's the right expression, I think. I ordered today's coffee from Nicaragua (medium roast, 700 yen) and cheesecake (400 yen). The coffee itself tends to be the traditional deep roast base often found in Japanese coffee shops, which doesn't quite match my personal taste, but the cheesecake was wonderful with its rare and elegant sweetness. I had a great time. Thank you for the meal.

A quiet cafe nestled between office buildings in the business district. It's surprising to find such a place facing the main street. The interior is a long and narrow space with a nostalgic Showa era vibe, providing a soothing atmosphere that makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. I ordered today's coffee and homemade cheesecake. The coffee was smooth with no bitterness, and the cheesecake had a velvety texture that seemed carefully made. It was delicious.

I came here looking for a delicious coffee and a relaxing atmosphere after a long time. It's too hot to have a hot drink, so I ordered a cold brew coffee. The small cup of coffee had no bitterness and tasted refreshing. It was a great coffee experience. I wish I had discovered the deliciousness of cold brew coffee sooner. I would love to drink this even when it gets colder. It was a wonderful encounter.

I had some free time before work, so I decided to visit this place I found on Google Maps. The exterior looked a bit intimidating to me, as I couldn't see inside and couldn't prepare myself mentally. After psyching myself up from a distance, I finally entered. As expected, the interior was dark and narrow, but the quiet classical music playing from a record created a calm atmosphere. I sat at the counter and ordered the "coffee of the day (hot)" for 700 yen. The coffee arrived in a beautiful cup that kept it piping hot for a long time. The coffee itself was really delicious. This place is advertised as the best reading spot, and I found that sitting at the front of the counter, where the ceiling light shines nicely on the book, made reading very easy. I highly recommend this spot for serious readers!

"Kusamakura" is a cafe located in Shinbashi that was selected as one of the top 100 cafes in the Tabelog Cafe division for 2022. It is situated along Sotobori Street between Toranomon and Uchisaiwaicho, with a cozy atmosphere and classical music playing in the background. I tried their cold milk iced coffee for 700 yen and cheesecake for 400 yen. The coffee has a light roast and a refreshing taste, perfect for summer. The white cheesecake is rich, and when eaten with the blueberries provided, it becomes even more delicious. Perhaps due to its location in a business district, the space is particularly calming, and I personally really liked it. The staff members were also very friendly. It was delicious. Visited around 5:30 PM on a weekday in July. No wait. The cheesecake with a hint of saltiness and mild sweetness was unique. The cold milk coffee with ice was a pleasant surprise! The quiet background music, surrounded by books, and the gentle atmosphere created by the owner, all made it a favorite café of mine.

Located between Toranomon and Uchisaiwaicho, this restaurant is one of the top 100 on Tabelog. The slightly dim interior is filled with books, CDs, and records, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The menu is limited, but you can choose the roasting level and amount of beans for your coffee. I tried the medium-dark roast coffee for 650 yen and the homemade cheesecake for 400 yen. The cheesecake, garnished with berry jam, looked delicious and had a mild acidity that paired perfectly with the coffee. This cafe is a hidden gem for those seeking a quiet place to enjoy delicious coffee. Just a 2-minute walk from Uchisaiwaicho Station A4 exit or a 5-minute walk from Toranomon Station, located at 1-10-1 Nishishinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, in the Nibii Building on the 1st floor.

Everyone has their own power spot, and for me, this place is it. The reason being that the spines of the books on the bookshelf perfectly match my collection, and the music played here is delightful and soothing. What's more, the master's modest and elegant voice is simply addictive. When I visited after a long time, the cup had a design of a seven-colored peacock or pheasant. If it's a peacock, it must be a female since the wings are not spread out. Either way, it's auspicious, elegant, and has a modest charm. Even if it was chosen unconsciously, I am grateful. Thank you for always being here.

In this area, I found a cafe called Kusamakura that ranks high in search results. It had such great reviews that I had never visited before. Since it was a weekday holiday, I saw it as a chance to visit. Around 10:30, when I entered, there were no customers. Only one person came in later, but it seems like it's not crowded on weekday mornings. When I opened the door, there was an old-fashioned folding screen. I couldn't see inside because of the screen. The moment I crossed the screen, I was amazed by the incredibly lovely atmosphere of the cafe. It was instantly clear to everyone why it's so popular. The cup of water they served was lovely. I don't know why, but my manner of speaking also became more refined. Even though I couldn't act sophisticated, I felt the urge to try my best to behave properly (laughs). I thought I should have hot coffee, but it was too hot, so I opted for iced coffee. The metal cup remained cold and frosty for a long time. The space was just so wonderful. The conversation between the customers and the owner was so kind and gentle. I strongly felt that this atmosphere should not be disturbed. It was a fantastic cafe experience.

One day revisiting. Cold coffee with chocolate cake. Just like last time, even with warm coffee, the roast is light and not punchy, but very easy to drink and refreshing. You can taste the flavor of the beans straight up, it's a coffee that doesn't tire you out. Really delicious. The homemade chocolate cake was also surprising. Moist and rich in flavor. The cheesecake was good too, but I personally prefer this one overwhelmingly. They also have whiskey here, so maybe next time I'll stop by after work to try them together lol.

"Kusamakura [Nakachika-cho's Hidden Gem] - Cold Coffee for 700 yen
Despite being located along the outer moat street, this café is a hidden gem. I visited around 2:20 pm on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere. I ordered a cold coffee. It was 32℃ outside, but the coffee was incredibly smooth and refreshing with no bitterness. A delightful experience.

I arrived at 15:30 and was able to sit down right away. I used it for a meeting. Even if you come alone, you can enjoy it at the counter seat. I ordered the usual coffee from Indonesia. The origin of the coffee is determined by the production method and the beans are selected by the roaster. There are main production methods such as washed and natural, and I enjoy the differences in taste by limiting it to specific coffee beans and experiencing the thoughts of the producers and roasters. I like to drink while listening to the thoughts of the producers and roasters who brew with a drip. It's a coffee rabbit hole. I will only give ⭐️5 stars to the favorite shop that I want to visit again and share with my friends. I will only post ⭐️5 stars on Instagram. (If it's on Tabelog, it should be 4 or above) I will only give 5 stars to the shops that I love, want to visit again, and want to share with friends. Only 5-star shops will be posted on IG. Tsukimon in Toranomon is a famous cafe with a cozy atmosphere. The entrance is small and the lighting inside is dim, creating a relaxed ambiance. The walls are lined with books and CDs, adding to the charm of the place. Classical music plays softly in the background, while you can enjoy a bitter coffee and rich cheesecake with a delicious jam topping.

A trip back to the Showa era. It feels like entering a different dimension. The lighting is dimmed, classical music is playing on analog records, creating a very calming atmosphere. There are many old books scattered around, giving insight into the owner's mindset. The master brews coffee with great care using a drip method, which adds to the serene ambiance. The coffee is a bit pricey, but the homemade cake for 400 yen feels like a steal. Given the ambiance, the 1050 yen cover charge seems reasonable. I didn't have much time to linger, but it was a very relaxing place.

This is the epitome of a proper café. I was really craving cheesecake, so I searched for "nearby cheesecake" and ended up feeling a bit embarrassed when I visited. The cake is homemade and while it's not a rare cheesecake, it's not too heavy either, more like a middle ground. It comes with a blueberry jam cooked in red wine, which gives it a very adult and not overly sweet taste. It pairs really well with coffee. Everything seems meticulously thought out. The atmosphere is quiet and laid-back, making it a perfect place to read a book or just relax. Tokyo needs more places like this, where you can reset your mind.
