I received a warm welcome when I arrived at the main store of Kyobashi Senbikiya and was smoothly guided to my table around 10:30. However, when I left, the restaurant was full and there was a line forming outside. Today, I ordered a mini musk melon parfait and a drink set. The parfait had a perfect balance of sweetness from the Shizuoka musk melon, melon sherbet, and yogurt ice cream. The subtle acidity of the yogurt added a nice touch to the sweetness. Even though it was a mini size, it was quite satisfying. The restaurant is located in Atré Ueno, right under the train tracks, so there was some noise from passing trains, but you get used to it. I'm thinking of buying a fruit cake to take home next time. Thank you for the meal~

When I go out, I like to visit cafes if possible. I also want to go to curry shops and cafes, and usually on those days, I also consider going to a movie theater, art museum, or museum as well, so it's quite busy. Takeout is available. Indoor seating is also an option. I chose to sit at the counter since I was alone. Despite being torn between the grape parfait, I stuck to my original choice. The set drink was a seasonal original fruit tea based on rose hip, served in a pot. Although I was curious about the size of the regular parfait since there was a mini option on the menu, it was a decent size. The figs were plentiful, and it was satisfying. As expected from Chifureya. The age group was on the higher side, perhaps due to the location or the fact that it was a weekday afternoon. It doesn't seem like the kind of place where you can leisurely enjoy cafe time, but Chifureya is definitely recommended for delicious fruits that you can enjoy without fail. Just looking at the menu gets me excited. I couldn't decide between mango and peach, but I chose mango in the end. I went for the set that came with fruit tea, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Of course, the mango parfait was also delicious. It captured the best time for mangoes perfectly. Ah, I found Chifuyuya at Atre Ueno near Ueno Station. When you think of Chifuyuya, you think of fruits. And when you think of fruits, you think of parfaits. After visiting an art exhibition in Ueno, I searched for a delicious lunch spot and found Chitoseya. They had seasonal limited menu items like peach and mango sandwiches, and peach and mango waffles. I ordered the peach sandwich and my friend got the mango waffle, both in half sizes with drinks, for a total of 2420 yen. The peach was so juicy and had a rich sweetness, it was amazing. It was my first time visiting, and even though the shop is in a station building, the tables were nicely spaced out, creating a safe environment. I was initially considering having afternoon tea, but the staff on the floor explained the menu options clearly, so I stuck with my original choice. The walls of the shop were a clean, bright white with a cute melon-like mesh pattern and small fruit reliefs, it was lovely. I would love to visit again when the seasons change.

I wanted to drink a refreshing drink, so I entered the store. Although Chihana is known for its parfaits, the domestic lemon squash was appealing. The syrup was served separately. When I took a sip, I found it delicious even without the syrup.

After leaving the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (commonly known as Tobikan), I decided to stop for tea somewhere before heading home. Since my companion loves parfaits, we decided to go to Chateraise. I heard that Chateraise is offering a limited-time night parfait until mid-August. Although I didn't see it on the menu, I asked the staff about it, and they brought a separate menu. It turned out to be an alcohol-infused parfait made with a whole peach, priced around 3800 yen. Despite the high price, I decided to order it since we had come this far. The parfait was called "Peach in Love," made with seasonal peaches, Maraschino liqueur, spices, and herbs. It had a generous portion and a strong alcohol taste. As someone who enjoys alcohol, I didn't mind, but my companion, who is a light drinker, turned red after a few bites. It was definitely a love-inducing parfait. After finishing the parfait, we both blushed and laughed, sipping on fruit tea before leaving the shop. I am grateful to my companion for this luxurious parfait experience at Chateraise. I would love to go back and try it again sometime. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was disappointed by the disorganized waiting system at a somewhat highly rated fruit parlor in Asakusa, so I decided to visit Chidoriya on another day. I waited for about 20 minutes with 4 people ahead of me. Despite peaches being the main seasonal fruit, I opted for the peach + afternoon tea set. 1. Price is reasonable 2. Pudding is delicious 3. Fruit sandwich is good 4. Peaches are incredibly tasty 5. Iced coffee is good. It's worth the high price. If I have the chance, I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The combo lunch offers a choice of 3 types of curry, hayashi rice, and 4 types of sandwiches. Some items have an additional charge. Soup and dessert are included. Combo Lunch (1,650 yen + 220 yen tax included) includes corn cool potage, today's curry, roast beef & white asparagus sandwich, and mango pudding for dessert. The lunch has a light touch!

It's a big difference from eating a parfait at a family restaurant, as expected from a high-end place. I would love to go back when I want to indulge. I visited this cafe as part of my two-night, three-day solo trip to Tokyo for a "Ueno & Akabane Bar Crawl" on my second day. It was my birthday, so I wanted to have some cake and arrived around 12:00 pm. However, the restaurant was full so I had to wait outside. After about 15 minutes, I was guided to a table for two. The cafe has around 8 tables for four, 3 tables for two, and 4 counter seats. As a COVID-19 precaution, there are acrylic partitions between the tables. Kyobashi Senhikoya is a long-established fruit specialty store founded in 1881. They have around 20 cafes in the Kanto region, and one store in Shizuoka, "Kyobashi Senhikoya Shizuoka Isetan Store." The cafe offers a variety of sweets made with high-quality fruits, as well as curry rice, hashed beef rice, and sandwiches. The majority of customers were women, so as a lone male customer, I felt a bit embarrassed. I wanted to have cake, so I ordered the "Cake Assortment (Strawberry Shortcake + Iced Coffee)" for 2,310 yen. The "Cake Assortment" allows you to choose your favorite cake, which is served with 6 types of fruits, vanilla ice cream, and a drink. I chose the "Strawberry Shortcake" this time. It was a small strawberry shortcake that costs 810 yen if ordered separately. The 6 fruits served with the cake were musk melon, strawberry, apple, orange, grapefruit, and pink grapefruit, which may vary depending on the season. All the fruits were delicious, reflecting the expertise of a long-established fruit specialty store. The set felt more like fruits complemented by cake rather than the other way around. For the drink, I chose the "Iced Coffee," which was a refreshing choice. I recommend this set for those who love fruits.

I received a limited-time White Day special dessert called "Domestic Citrus Caramel Earl Grey Parfait - Shibust-style" and a lemon tea. The parfait consisted of white chocolate, whipped cream, citrus & strawberries, white chocolate discs, citrus-flavored ice cream, strawberries, pie, custard, citrus, Earl Grey tea leaves, pie, and citrus caramel sauce. The parfait had a mille-feuille-like vibe with a good balance of sweetness and acidity in the citrus fruits. The specific citrus varieties were unknown but they tasted like a mix of Dekopon and late-maturing yuzu. The lemon tea, which came with two lemon slices, exceeded expectations and was delicious. I had a leisurely lunch at Senbikiya in Ueno. I ordered a fruit sandwich and a fruit curry!? The fruit sandwich was delicious as always. The fruits here are really tasty. It's a bit pricey but worth it. The fruit curry was surprisingly good with a unique taste. I usually like my curry very spicy, so I was a bit hesitant at first, but once I started eating, I couldn't stop. It was surprisingly good! Maybe next time I'll try their parfait! I got takeout, but the eat-in area was very crowded with lots of people lining up. I bought strawberry shortcake, fruit cake, and Mont Blanc. I felt like the cost performance wasn't great, but it was delicious.
