It was around 5:30 pm on the weekend when I visited. I passed through the hotel lobby and entered the restaurant. The restaurant had a long counter and many table seats. There were also outdoor table seats and the high ceiling added a sense of luxury. I tried various dishes from the menu, and although the prices were a bit high, everything was delicious. The drinks were a bit pricey but there was a wide variety to choose from depending on your mood. One dish that stood out in my memory was the shrimp ajillo. The shrimp was juicy and the flavor was delicious. The bouillabaisse had fresh ingredients and a rich soup. The marinated dish had the perfect balance of fruit acidity, making it a great appetizer. The bacon had a strong smoky flavor and was a thick piece of meat without too much fat. I was full after the meal, and since it had cooled down outside, I enjoyed an Irish coffee on the terrace while looking at the Tokyo Skytree and Sensoji Temple. You can enjoy a meal while admiring the calm atmosphere and the view. The portion sizes were normal and all the dishes were great as appetizers. This is a great place to have a meal and a drink when you're tired of crowds.

There was a typhoon so we had dinner at the hotel. They had counter, table, and terrace seating. The weather wasn't great so the night view was not impressive, couldn't see the Skytree. I wanted to have a 1-pound steak but it would take 30 minutes, so I changed to a grilled domestic beef loin. Started with today's cream consommé soup, which was delicious. The beef served after 15 minutes was flavorful and delicious, paired with red wine. It was a luxurious dinner.

The restaurant is located on the 13th floor of Gate Hotel Asakusa. The breakfast for guests costs 2,800 yen, which is a great deal. You can choose from 3 main dishes and the rest is buffet style. I chose the Asakusa Tartine on the first day and the Eggs Benedict on the next day. The Tartine consists of toast topped with boiled eggs and a generous amount of mayo sauce, along with thick slices of bacon. The soup on the first day was curry soup, and on the next day, it was corn potage. The buffet sides included caponata (penne on the next day), french fries, ham, and sausages. Additionally, there were salads, yogurt, fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff also refills your coffee and tea as needed.

★4.0【FILE 4176】2023/09/05 (Tuesday) 11:54 Visited Raimon along Raimon Street, The Gate Hotel Raimon by HULIC on the 13th floor, a restaurant that opened 11 years and 1 month ago in August 2012. There are three sister stores: R restaurant & bar opened in August 2012, Anchor Tokyo opened in December 2018, and Anchor Ryogoku Riverside opened in November 2020. In the current edition, there have been no changes in the number of stores since May 2023, with a total of 28 stores remaining. It was a clear day, so I revisited after two months. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a dark brown color scheme. There are a total of 88 seats, with 44 seats at the tables in front, 16 seats on the terrace to the left, and 16 counter seats to the right, making it relatively spacious. When I visited, about 10% of the seats were occupied. Even afterwards, about 30% of the seats were occupied, so it was relatively empty. The customers were evenly split between men and women. The service was provided by two female staff members who were attentive. The menu includes: ◆Lunch Set - Lunch Set 2200 yen (tax included) (bread, salad, main dish, coffee) ◆Options - Soup & Dessert 650 yen (tax included) - 2 Main Dishes, Soup & Dessert 2000 yen (tax included) ◆Desserts - Ice Cream/Sorbet 700 yen (tax included) - Affogato with Thunder Rice Cake 950 yen (tax included) - Gateau Chocolat with Ice Cream 1050 yen (tax included) - Chiffon Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream 1050 yen (tax included) - Seasonal Tart 1150 yen (tax included). I ordered the Seasonal Tart for 1150 yen. The Seasonal Tart, which arrived 9 minutes after ordering, was a mango tart served on a white round plate with raspberry sauce at the bottom, custard cream and mango on top of the tart crust, decorated with greenery and served with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, and you could enjoy the juiciness of the mango. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a dark brown color scheme. The table and terrace seats offer a good view, allowing you to enjoy the Skytree. From the lobby, you can enjoy a view of Sensoji Temple and the five-story pagoda from above. There were various cashless payment options available at checkout. The Seasonal Tart for 1150 yen is a mango tart with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, and you could enjoy the juiciness of the mango.

Visited The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon by HULIC on Thunder Gate Street at 11:55 on July 27, 2023 (Wednesday). This restaurant opened in August 2012, almost 11 years ago. It has two sister restaurants, R restaurant & bar opened in August 2012, Anchor Tokyo opened in December 2018, and Anchor Ryogoku Riverside opened in November 2020. As of May 2023, there are a total of 20 restaurants remaining. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a dark brown color scheme. There are 44 table seats in the front, 16 terrace seats on the left, and 16 counter seats on the right, totaling 88 seats which is quite spacious. During my visit, about 20% of the seats were occupied. Even after that, the restaurant remained relatively empty with around 20% of the seats filled. The customers were evenly split between 50% male and 50% female. The service provided by the two female staff members was polite and welcoming. The menu includes a lunch set priced at 2200 yen (tax included) which includes bread, salad, main dish, and coffee. Optional items like soup and dessert are available for 650 yen (tax included), and a set with two main dishes, soup, and dessert is available for 2000 yen (tax included). For the main dish, you can choose between grilled Kirishima pure pork loin with peach sauce and mashed pumpkin, or sautéed swordfish with myoga vinaigrette sauce. I ordered the lunch set priced at 2200 yen. The set included a salad with small shrimp, specialty eggs, and sweet corn with a Japanese-style tomato dressing, grilled Kirishima pure pork loin with peach sauce, mashed pumpkin, and seasonal vegetables, bread with olive oil, and iced coffee. The salad was served in a square white dish with lettuce, red cabbage, onion, small shrimp, and a tartar-like egg in the center, topped with Japanese-style tomato dressing. It was delicious. The bread was two slices of baguette served with olive oil, and I had a total of 4 pieces. The main dish was presented on a square white plate with mashed pumpkin, baby corn, okra on the side, and grilled Kirishima pure pork loin with peach sauce as the main attraction. It was also delicious. The cafe served was iced coffee. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a dark brown color scheme. The table and terrace seats offer a good view, where you can enjoy the sight of the Skytree. From the lobby, you can also enjoy a view of Senso-ji Temple and its five-story pagoda. Various cashless payment options were available at the checkout. The lunch set priced at 2200 yen includes a salad, bread, main dish, and coffee. The food was delicious.

The restaurant inside the hotel, about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa Station, was wonderful with a beautiful view of the Skytree. We enjoyed a course with all-you-can-drink wine and beer, and requested a birthday message on the dessert at the end. Every dish was delicious! ✨

With breakfast plan the stay is 2800 yen, without breakfast plan it is 3100 yen for non-staying guests. Salad, bread, and juice are buffet style, and you can choose from three main dishes including French toast, Eggs Benedict, and Asakusa Tartine. The French toast is highly recommended. The bread from Pelican in Taharamachi is delicious and perfect for toast. The freshly squeezed orange juice is also a must-try. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The hotel offers a free cup of coffee as a special benefit for staying guests. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would love to visit The Gate Hotel again.

Lunch alone as a preview for a date. The atmosphere is really nice and highly recommended. The hotel has a simple entrance, giving it a hidden gem vibe. The restaurant is located on the 13th floor accessed by an elevator. It offers a view of the Skytree and plays jazz music. It feels like a high-end restaurant, making me check my wallet. The lunch menu is simple, with options like grilled vegetables and pork sauté with balsamic berry sauce. The salad and bread served were delicious, especially the freshly baked bread. I had seconds because of the free refills. The pork sauté with balsamic berry sauce was tasty, with the sauce having a hint of red wine and berry flavors. The tea served at the end matched the ambiance and was delicious. Coffee was also available. The place is worth paying ¥2000 just for the location. I highly recommend this place for a date, as it's affordable and has a great atmosphere.

Located on the 13th floor of The Gate Hotel in Asakusa, we had lunch with our family at the bistro R restaurant & bar. The view of the Skytree and Asahi Beer foam was great. It's a good situation to invite friends from other prefectures. However, reservations are required for this restaurant. Order details: Lunch course - Appetizer: Salad, Soup, Bread - Main dish: Tender meat with well-balanced sauce - Dessert: Two options Overall, the meal was well-balanced and the cost performance was good. It's a perfect place to escort friends from the suburbs or other prefectures. We had a delicious meal today as well.

We went to the employee year-end party and ordered the chef's recommended course for lunch. The appetizer, foie gras, was served with one plate being one-third the size of the other at the same table. When I asked why they would serve dishes of such different sizes together, a floor manager-like woman came after about 20 minutes and said, "We weighed them before sautéing, and they were the same weight." That's not the issue. Professionals should also pay attention to the appearance. Moreover, both dishes were as dry as a liver at a cheap izakaya and not tasty at all. Next, another staff member asked, "Would you like more bread?" to which I replied, "Yes, please," but they only brought it after we had finished everything. The employees couldn't help but smile at this. We declined. The last dessert was announced as baked cheesecake, but it clearly looked like a New York cheesecake, and the coffee arrived more than 10 minutes after we had finished dessert and were about to leave. We were surprised because the reviews from others were high. We wondered if it was just us. There was one woman in a very hospitable white uniform who was a ray of light in the situation.

[2nd Review of Our Store] The restaurant at "The Gate Hotel Asakusa by HULIC" in front of Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa may look quite understated from the outside, almost like you might miss it at first glance because it doesn't scream "hotel". The front desk is not on the 1st floor but on the 13th floor, so when you walk in through the automatic doors, you'll only see an elevator hall, giving it a somewhat apartment-like feel. Once you get off on the 13th floor, you'll be greeted with a breathtaking view of Senso-ji Temple, the Thunder Gate, and the Tokyo Skytree up close through the glass walls! There's also a hidden bar on the 14th floor that only hotel guests can access, where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace while taking in the night view of Asakusa, feeling like an oasis in the city. Now, onto breakfast. Breakfast is also served at the restaurant on the same floor as the front desk. Unlike the evening atmosphere, breakfast is enjoyed with a view of the sunlit Skytree. You start by choosing coffee or tea, and they also bring you their famous orange juice. While breakfast used to be buffet-style with juice, salad, and bread, due to the pandemic, everything is now brought to your table, which is convenient and appreciated. They squeeze the oranges right in front of you, so the 100% orange juice is definitely worth a try. For the main dish, you can choose from Eggs Benedict, French Toast, or Asakusa Tartine. Since I had the French Toast last time, I opted for the Asakusa Tartine this time. My wife went for the Eggs Benedict again. They also bring bread, salad, fruits, yogurt, and soup automatically. Of course, the Echire butter is still there. I later found out that my Asakusa Tartine was made with bread from the famous Asakusa bakery "Pan no Pelican" and double-smoked bacon from "Asakusa Ham," using local ingredients. Another satisfying breakfast experience this time, thank you! By the way, "Kameju" known for their dorayaki is just a stone's throw away, but despite trying in the evening and the next morning, the line was always incredibly long, and we couldn't get our hands on any, what a pity!

This is a very nice restaurant with a view of the Skytree. I visited around 8:30 pm on a weekday and it was a bit crowded, with many people who were not staying at the hotel also using it. Unfortunately, the tables with a good view were full, so we sat at the counter. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant was still nice, and we were able to relax and enjoy our meal. The staff were friendly, and I would definitely like to visit again.

I couldn't find a suitable place to eat while my daughter was napping, but then I came across a sign that said "Sakura lunch set ¥1980". It was at a restaurant on the 13th floor of The Gate Hotel. When I arrived on the 13th floor, the elevator announcement woke my daughter up, and she started crying loudly. The staff kindly suggested using the private room in the bar on the upper floor or the terrace seat on the rooftop. I chose the terrace seat, which had a beautiful view of the Skytree and Asakusa Temple. The staff took care of all my belongings and the meal was brought to me. The Sakura lunch set included a salad, a choice of fish or meat for the main course, and coffee or tea. I chose the pan-fried sea bream for the main course. I also had a soup and dessert set with pumpkin soup and sakura ice cream with baked cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed a glass of Rosé sparkling wine as well. Thanks to the staff's kindness and attention to my daughter, I was able to enjoy my meal and have a great time. The sea bream was delicious, and the risotto with rapeseed flowers was creamy and spring-like. The sakura ice cream was sweet and sour, and the pink sakura syrup added a nice touch. The staff's service was excellent, and I had a pleasant experience overall. Thank you very much for the wonderful meal and service.

Bistro located on the 13th floor of The Gate Hotel in Asakusa. When you get off the elevator, you can see the Skytree and the golden flame of Asahi Beer right in front of you. The view is very nice, although it was a bit cloudy on this day. I'm sure the night view will be beautiful as well. I made a reservation and when I arrived, the table was set with non-alcoholic disinfectant wipes, cutlery, etc., all in plastic bags for safe and secure infection prevention measures. I ordered sparkling wine to start. The first course was mushroom confit salad and baguette. For the main dish, you can choose from 3 options, and I chose the poêlé of fresh fish and angel prawns with cockles and saffron cream sauce, which featured sea bream that day. The main dishes change periodically. I had coffee for dessert, served in a cup that was more like a soup bowl in size. The gentleman at the next table asked if you could just come for coffee without a meal, and it turns out that's okay.

Asakusa, a restaurant bar on the 13th floor of "The Gate Hotel Asakusa by HULIC". Just a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station along the main street with Senso-ji Temple on your left. The hotel itself has a chic and stylish feel, blending in quietly with the bustling streets of Asakusa. The entrance is sleek and black, easy to miss as you walk by. Take the elevator up to the 13th floor, where the hotel front desk is located. The lobby has a sofa, making you feel like checking in and staying the night...(*´∀`*) Exiting the elevator, you are greeted by a large glass window overlooking the streets of Asakusa! Luckily, the weather is nice, and the sunlight fills the space beautifully. Today, we have a lunch reservation. The restaurant is just beyond the front desk. They offer both indoor and terrace seating, and we were seated on the terrace. From here, you can also see the Skytree, which adds to the excitement. We opted for the lunch course, which included salad, baguette, main dish, and coffee. You are served each dish separately, and everything is delicious. Enjoying a meal while overlooking the city from a high vantage point on a sunny day is truly special. Other guests were dressed in kimonos and suits, perhaps celebrating a special occasion? The prices are casual, but the atmosphere is elegant, making it suitable for a special day out. We savored a leisurely and elegant moment even during coffee after the meal. Finally, we bid farewell to the Skytree...Thank you for the delicious meal!

Terrace with a view of Asakusa at night and delicious food at Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon, where we stayed for the first time. The area is known for its many longstanding famous restaurants, but this time we decided to enjoy the hotel itself and went to the restaurant on the top floor. For appetizers, we had smoked salmon and baked Camembert cheese with warm vegetables. The warm vegetables, sprinkled with Parmesan, served as a salad substitute. We both love French onion soup, so we were delighted to find it on the menu. The soup was rich and creamy with plenty of onions, giving it a hint of sweetness. For the main course, we had roasted pork loin and paella cooked in a Staub pot, perfectly al dente. Every dish was delicious, but what stood out the most was the excellent service from the staff. From the hotel front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was polite and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. Thanks to using Goto Travel discounts, we felt like we got great value for our money, and we are already looking forward to coming back again.

Today's visit was to R Restaurant & Bar. R Restaurant & Bar is located on the top floor of The Gate Hotel Asakusa and operates from morning to night, changing its form throughout the day. I originally planned to visit during bar time, but ended up giving in to sleepiness and had breakfast for the first time in years. The charm of R Restaurant & Bar lies in its view. With floor-to-ceiling windows and an unobstructed sense of openness, you can enjoy the stunning view of Tokyo Skytree. This time, I tried the Asakusa Tartine at R Restaurant & Bar. I went alone and had 3 glasses of wine, scallops Burgundy style, and steamed vegetables, which was a light meal. However, the glass of wine was expensive, so it cost over 6000 yen. The scallops I ordered based on the photo were very disappointing as they were just butter sautéed shimeji mushrooms and scallops. I would have preferred just pasta and wine. The service, on the other hand, was good.

I visited for lunch on a weekday and was very satisfied with this great restaurant. It is located on the 13th floor of a hotel very close to Asakusa Kaminarimon. The store is located next to the hotel's reception area, with a spacious and open lobby offering a beautiful view of Tokyo Skytree and Kaminarimon below. The restaurant is long in shape, with outdoor terrace seating available, making it a pleasant spot when the weather is nice. There are mainly table seats, but there is also a counter. Despite being lunchtime, the restaurant was not crowded, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. They have taken thorough measures against COVID-19, including temperature checks upon entry, hand sanitizing, providing mask bags when seated, and ensuring social distancing between tables. The interior is clean, open, and offers a good view, especially from the tables in the back overlooking Marunouchi. I had the 2530 yen (including tax) lunch course, which included salad, soup, bread, a choice of main dish (curry, hamburger, fish), dessert, and a drink. The set was fulfilling and luxurious at an affordable price. The salad was fresh with a yogurt-flavored dressing that complemented the ingredients well. The vegetable soup was light and perfect for a warm day. The bread was served warm and unlimited. I chose the curry and hamburger for the main dish, both of which were generous portions that left me satisfied. The dessert was a waffle with a hint of black tea flavor. I ended the meal with iced tea and iced coffee. The casual and cozy atmosphere, efficient service from young staff, delicious food, attractive presentation, and reasonable prices make this a highly recommended restaurant. Thank you for the meal. It was a hot night, and I wanted to feel the cool breeze, so I was guided to a terrace seat. I enjoyed a crisp, chilled white wine. The only downside was the shortened business hours until 10 pm, so I couldn't stay for long. It's understandable, and since it was a temporary measure, I look forward to enjoying a leisurely visit next time.
