I visited a self-grilling yakitori restaurant that is popular on social media. The interior of the restaurant has a youthful decoration with several table seats, and there are also some VIP seats (semi-private room style?). Most of the staff members seem to be Chinese. The atmosphere is not like a lively Japanese izakaya, but more like a restaurant from over there in terms of service and hospitality. The popular lamb skewers cost 980 yen for 10 pieces, offering great value for money. The spicy seasoning on the skewers is delicious without any meaty smell. You can also enjoy a flavor change by adding sesame spice or chili spice that are provided at the table. The self-grilling part is interesting as the skewers have gears that fit into the grooves of the grilling machine on the table, allowing for even cooking as the grooves move left and right. The rolling motion of the skewers is quite entertaining. I also ordered side dishes like lemon-flavored chicken feet and lamb chops, which are all on the spicy side, perfect for those who enjoy spicy food. The restaurant is located a bit away from the bustling area with standing bars, so I was able to enjoy my meal in a calm environment. It is a great place for those who want to take Instagram-worthy photos or videos. Personally, I found the prices of the side dishes and drinks to be slightly higher compared to other places in the area, so the total bill ended up being higher than I had anticipated.

I went with my male colleagues only! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is more Chinese than Japanese, very stylish! We had a lot of different types of lamb skewers, the taste was okay. But I was surprised at how cheap it was. We could eat enough for 4,000 yen and it even came with all-you-can-drink.

At 9 o'clock, there was still a wait and it was very busy. There were a lot of tourists. You grill the skewers yourself, but it's fun because they automatically rotate. The fire is very hot, so I wanted to avoid it a little in the summer. The bagged spices set on the table were very delicious.

Skewered lamb meat. It looks like the skin of Hakata. When you set it up, it automatically cooks and it's a fun meal to make and eat. And it cooks faster than expected. Since it's charcoal, it retains a nice smoky flavor. The finished dish is rich and delicious! I could eat these all day. Also, the sour and spicy potatoes are irresistible. I highly recommend trying this dish. I tried various dishes but once I started drinking, I forgot to take pictures (-。-; When you visit Ueno, be sure to stop by this restaurant. The interior has a flashy Chinese vibe. Thank you for the meal!

The best local B-class gourmet lamb skewers are amazing, but the side menu is unbelievably delicious. Especially the shredded potato cold dish is a must-try. If you like sour and spicy flavors, this dish will definitely satisfy your taste buds.

The quality is very high. Although I haven't been to China for over 3 years due to the pandemic, this place reminds me of China. The spices, roasters, music, staff, and customers are mostly Chinese. They have lamb skewers, stir-fried dishes, Baijiu, all authentic local flavors. It's a restaurant that makes me want to go back to China soon. I can't wait to revisit.

I have been addicted to Yanbian cuisine since the first time I tried it. This particular restaurant is especially popular. Their specialty is Yanbian skewers. The lamb skewers, in particular, are very addictive. They go perfectly with a beer in hand. They even have unique options like cow penis skewers. I tried them too. Personally, I like the crispy pig heart skewers. I had them with garlic. The spices on the table are a must. This place had two types - chili and sesame flavors. The chili isn't just simple, it's a blend of various seasonings. It seems the blend varies from place to place. The table-side automatic skewer grill is also fun. Watching it, I oddly felt a sense of calm. Aside from skewers, they have a variety of other dishes, all known for being spicy. They all have strong spices, especially dishes with cumin. Everything was delicious. Unlike traditional Japanese Yanbian cuisine restaurants, this place has a very modern and trendy atmosphere. There are many young Chinese people, but I think even Japanese people unfamiliar with Yanbian cuisine can feel comfortable coming here. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The staff and customers at the restaurant were mostly of Chinese descent, creating an authentic atmosphere. The bite-sized pieces of meat allowed us to try various types. The lamb was tender and slightly spicy, but you could add extra heat with the accompanying powder. Some options were very spicy, but even the mild ones had a noticeable kick. The self-service automatic roaster was fun to use as the meat rotated on its own.

They kindly accommodated a last-minute reservation. It was my first time experiencing the system of grilling your own skewers, which was fun. There were various types of skewers available. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes besides skewers, which was great. There were plenty of beer options as well. It was crowded with other customers, possibly due to it being a Friday. The music inside was loud, so it may not be suitable for those looking for a quiet dining experience.

Chinese-style lamb skewers! You can enjoy skewered lamb while grilling it on a rotating table, a familiar style in China. Many of the staff and customers are Chinese, and interactions are sometimes in Chinese, but all staff members can speak Japanese, so Japanese people can feel at ease going there. If you want to enjoy Chinese lamb, be sure to visit!

Yanbutton Kaosha Ochuan [Different Lamb Skewers @ Ueno] Ueno Ichome Building 2F, 1-20-1 Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo. It's been a while since I went out for drinks in Ueno and I visited a Chinese lamb skewer restaurant that I had never tried before! They had 50 different types of skewers and we ordered so much that we were full, haha. They had chicken, pork, beef, seafood, but my personal favorite was the spicy lamb skewers. They are quite spicy, so I highly recommend them for those who like spicy food and alcohol! Honestly, I had been avoiding them because I thought I wouldn't like them, but after trying them, I realized that I actually enjoy them, haha. They also have a wide variety of beers from around the world. You can drink from lunchtime. The food was delicious and the overall experience was enjoyable. The rose beer was very tasty and the 10 lamb skewers were a great deal and a must-order. The coconut ice cream at the end was a must-try as well. It was a blissful experience. It was even better to eat it with the steamed buns. The spare ribs were also tender and delicious. The meat was overall tender and the restaurant had a nice elderly waiter who spoke Japanese. I look forward to trying different dishes on my next visit.

We sell lamb meat, but about 20% of our menu consists of so-called exotic dishes. Items like beef penis, silkworm pupa, pig brain, etc. Our drink selection is quite extensive, so while enjoying safe options like lamb and beef, you can also try some interesting dishes while drinking. The flavors are likely preferred by Chinese and Taiwanese people, so it may not appeal to many Japanese customers. Here are some highlights from our menu: - Appetizer: Fried beans and pickled radish. The beans are fried in oil, delicious but probably high in calories. The pickles have a subtle sourness and unique spices. It's a personal preference, but I enjoyed it. - Beer: I recommend the Shepherd Hofbrau. It has a refreshing wheat flavor and pairs well with our unique skewers. - Silkworm Pupa: While it may look unappetizing, the inside is a creamy white nut paste. It's best to split the shell and enjoy the paste. Be cautious as some may taste different. - Beef Achilles Tendon Skewer: It's tough at first but becomes tender and flavorful when properly cooked. It pairs well with beer or whiskey. - Beef Penis Skewer: Before cooking, it has a distinct odor, but once grilled, the smell disappears. The taste is subtle, with a slightly chewy collagen texture. - Chicken Feet: Similar to pig trotters but with a chicken skin texture. It's challenging to eat due to the bones. - Sausage: Possibly fish sausage with a tuna-like taste. Some may find the processed flavor off-putting. - Pig Brain: High in fat content, it tastes similar to liver paste. The seasoning is Sichuan-style and adds a nice kick. - Water Dumplings: Familiar taste, slightly bland compared to regular dumplings but still delicious. - Bibimbap Noodles: Tangy with a rich bean-based sauce, a unique and tasty cold noodle dish. - Durian Toast: Mild in odor, tastes like melon paste on sugar toast. Sweet and enjoyable, with a hint of durian aroma. - Coconut Ice Cream: Delicious but pricey at 700 yen, worth it for the quality. In conclusion, try a mix of lamb and beef skewers with some water dumplings or wontons while enjoying your drinks. Thank you for dining with us.

I made a reservation for a weekday night. When I put the skewers on the dedicated machine, it automatically rotated and cooked them evenly. The spicy ones were quite spicy, and a set of 10 skewers was just right in terms of spiciness. The atmosphere was quite unique, but it was an enjoyable restaurant.

The automatic grill machine is interesting, and the restaurant serves lamb skewers commonly eaten in the northern part of the continent. The seasoning is Uyghur-style with a variety of flavors including spicy. There are skewers with alternating slices of lamb meat and fat, similar to the taste I had in Beijing, China. Most of the customers were from the continent and mainly spoke in Uyghur.

I ate lamb skewers at a restaurant in Okachimachi! The texture of the honeycomb tripe is amazing. The combination of spicy, cilantro, and peanuts is addicting. I love Sichuan cold dishes. I had three skewers of spicy lamb, extra spicy lamb, and regular lamb. The automatic rotating grill is fun to watch.

Authentic lamb skewers cooked in an automatic roaster machine. In addition to lamb skewers, they also offer beef skewers, lamb chops, chicken hearts, pork belly, and various other skewer dishes, creating a local Chinese street food atmosphere. We were quite hungry for a late lunch, so we ordered a variety of dishes for the four of us. My personal favorite today was the Wangjin mame skewers and the Chongqing-style pig brain. The desserts after the meal were also somewhat special. We had half coconut and half peach, both light and refreshing, perfect for cleansing the palate after enjoying the skewer dishes.

Tokyo was sunny in autumn. I felt like eating lamb skewers, so I took the subway to Ueno Hirokoji (a few minutes walk from Yushima Station on the Chiyoda Line). I arrived after 2 PM, and there were only a few customers. I ordered chilled pig ears as an appetizer. This is the taste of China! Delicious appetizer, 3 draft beers, chilled pig ears, and 20 lamb skewers.

At Yagi no Oni Kushiage in Okachimachi, they offer a variety of grilled skewers. The interior has a modern Chinese design that you'll see as you climb the stairs. You order using a tablet and can grill your own skewers using the charcoal grill machine. They have skewers of lamb, beef, pork, and chicken that pair well with beer. The grilled chives we added were also delicious.

Recommended by Chinese people, this trendy and stylish Chinese series of restaurants. "Yang Bu Tong Kao Xiao Chuan"... I can't even read the name of the restaurant anymore. When translated by a translation machine, it means "Grilled Lamb Skewers". Despite being newly opened, it has already gained enthusiastic support from Chinese customers and is a popular restaurant that is difficult to make reservations for. Certainly, guided by a pop neon sign, when entering the second-floor restaurant, there were already several groups waiting. And once again, over 90% of the customers were Chinese, mostly young people. I probably was the only Japanese person there. Chinese-style skewers are something I discovered the deliciousness of at Zaomenkan, but here the system is even more amazing. The skewers are grilled over charcoal at each table, and the skewers rotate automatically!! Orders are taken using a touch panel system that also supports Japanese, so there is no need to hesitate. The staff can also speak Japanese. The lamb skewers were a bit burnt at first because the automatic skewer grill had too much fire, but they were definitely delicious. In addition to lamb, they also offer beef and pork skewers, with a wide variety of menu items. The seasoning is completely authentic, with spicy and sweet spice condiments placed on the table from the start, allowing you to enjoy the different tastes even with the same skewer. I tried some offal dishes, but they were a bit too strong for my Japanese palate, and I regret eating too much of them. Also, they have a unique dessert called Durian Toast. Despite being durian, it didn't have that strong smell and was delicious. They also offer a variety of international beers, in addition to Qingdao beer. Thank you for the meal!
