Exploring the world through creative sushi in a private room at a bar, "Bell Sushi," a popular restaurant with a buzz, finally visited! On a pleasant late autumn day, under clear skies, it's the perfect time to stretch your legs a bit and join a sushi off-meeting with gourmet friends at a new and promising creative sushi restaurant in Okushibuya for dinner! From Shibuya Station, passing by the famous tonkatsu restaurant "Mizuto," and turning right into a side street, you'll find a stylish bar produced by the internationally renowned "The SG Group" called "The Bellwood." Inside the bar, hidden in the back, is a private room with only four seats, a four-person limited creative sushi restaurant that opened in 2021! Ayaka Terai, the proprietress, takes you on a journey through the world of creative sushi, allowing you to experience flavors from around the world. The first visit to "Bell Sushi" was highly anticipated! Meeting at 6:00 pm! With our usual sushi-loving group, we enjoyed the exclusive course for four people at ¥10,000 per person! The course includes 12 pieces of creative sushi paired with three cocktails! 1. Italy: Yellowtail carpaccio with tomato, capers, garlic, olive oil, and Grana Padano cheese. The yellowtail is moist and flavorful with an Italian twist of olive oil and cheese. 2. Vietnam: Tuna with coriander, mint, rice cracker, and fish sauce. A flavorful and delicious Vietnamese-style tuna dish. 3. Morocco: Marinated mackerel with Basara sauce, turmeric powder, and a hummus-like sauce. A delicious Mediterranean-inspired dish. 4. India: Needlefish with pineapple raita, black garlic, and pickled ginger cocktail. A flavorful Indian-inspired dish with spices. 5. Mexican: Amberjack tacos with dashi jalapeno and guacamole. The taco flavor is rich and delicious. 6. Peru: Needlefish ceviche with coconut sauce. A moist and marinated needlefish dish with a delightful flavor. 7. Norway: Horse mackerel pickled in vinegar with spruce flavor and Saikyo miso. A well-aged and delicious dish. 8. Denmark: Rockfish with dill seed, black grapes, and Scandinavian-aged flavor. A perfectly aged and flavorful dish. 9. Conger eel with Brazilian coffee and cacao nib sauce. A tender and flavorful dish with a coffee aroma. 10. France: Fatty tuna with vegan foie gras sauce, mashed potatoes, and cashew nuts. An outstanding dish with a rich flavor. 11. Spain: Triple egg battleship sushi with egg yolk, sea urchin, salmon roe, and Eneco-style fondue with truffle. Three different tastes combined at the end for an amazing flavor. 12. Dessert sushi: Chinese fig with cassis black sugar sauce, gold powder, almond, and rice pudding. The fig dessert has a sweet and almond aroma that is delightful.
