On February 5, 2023, I revisited a restaurant, but at home we have a large frog called an African Bullfrog. Its diet consists of crickets, which we have to constantly buy from a reptile club store in Nakano called "Hachikura." It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there from our house, with a 25-minute walk to the nearest bus stop and another 15-minute walk from Nakano. Despite missing the bus and arriving just in time for the store's opening, we managed to get a seat and ordered beer and gyoza using coupons. The beer was Kirin Lager, and the gyoza was decent. After two beers, we ordered ramen - my wife got egg ramen with normal noodle firmness, while I got default ramen with soft noodles. The ramen at Hachikura is truly the best I've had, and it never disappoints. We then walked to Nakano and took a taxi to Hachikura. It was a satisfying experience, and I may make it a regular visit. Thank you, Takasu-san, for another great meal.

I visited around 8pm on a Saturday night and had to wait outside for about 5 minutes as the restaurant was full. I ordered the all-in ramen with two extra servings of noodles, and requested it to be firm. The menu mentioned that the ingredients were fresh enough to be eaten raw, so I felt reassured ordering it firm. Usually, when I order firm or extra firm noodles at other places, I tend to have stomach issues the next day, but this time I felt fine. I added extra sauce and sprinkled plenty of ground sesame seeds on top, which made the ramen delicious. They also had about 8 different types of appetizers like gyoza, which would be great to enjoy with some drinks.

I ordered ramen for 750 yen and an extra serving of noodles for 140 yen. Even from a distance of nearly 10 meters, the strong smell of pork bone broth was noticeable, perhaps because the staff had left the entrance open. The most distinctive feature was the intense pork bone smell. I choked on the first mouthful. However, this is also the charm of tonkotsu ramen. After drinking the soup, I was able to eat the noodles as my mouth got used to the flavor. The taste was average. Even after leaving the restaurant, the smell of pork bone lingered in my mouth and on my fingers. If you want to experience the essence of pork bone, this is the place to go.

I visited "Hakata Ramen Barikote" for the first time, about a 10-minute walk from Nakano Station. Although it was full, I waited a bit and once I entered and placed my order, the ramen was served in no time. The rich tonkotsu broth, which looks like a foam-based soup, was to my liking. It wasn't too light or too strong in flavor. The noodles, which are said to be imported from Fukuoka, have an excellent texture (I ordered them firm). There is a variety of toppings on the table. I added a bit of spicy mustard greens, which had a "very spicy" label. It was nice to have the option of half an extra serving of noodles. It was so delicious that I ordered more. I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy delicious Hakata ramen nearby.

Hello everyone. ZMA here. This time I would like to share my first experience with tonkotsu ramen. When I looked back, I realized that I haven't shared about tonkotsu ramen before. I really love tonkotsu ramen, so today I visited "Hakata Ramen Barikote" in Higashi-Koenji. It's located somewhere between Koenji and Nakano, and the shop specializes in tonkotsu ramen from Hakata. The signboard proudly states, "We serve the authentic taste without any Kanto-style seasoning." What a dedication! I ordered the Chashu Ramen for 980 yen, with an extra half serving of noodles for 70 yen. Quite affordable, right? When I saw the soup, it had a smooth brown color and the aroma of tonkotsu was inviting. Looks promising, right? The bowl arrived, and it looked beautiful with plenty of chashu like flower petals. The soup was light with a hint of richness. It was so refreshing that I couldn't stop slurping. The noodles were thin and straight, probably imported from Hakata. I ordered the first serving firm, and it paired well with the soup. But when I tried the half serving of soft noodles, it blended even better with the soup. Maybe I prefer the soft noodles. The toppings were simple with chashu, green onions, and that's it. It was a delicious meal. Once I finished eating, I noticed a line forming outside, indicating the popularity of this place. They also offer other dishes and snacks, so it seems like a great place to enjoy some drinks and ramen as a finale. Well then, see you next time!

1-30-15 Minami-Koenji, Suginami-ku, Tokyo I visited the restaurant on Saturday at 6:01 PM as I had registered my interest after reading positive reviews from other customers. There was no line, and I was able to sit at the counter without waiting. There were 4 men already inside. Later, 3 more men and a couple arrived. There were 2 male staff members. The restaurant had a TV playing. I ordered the Hakata Ramen for 750 yen and the Simmered Tripe for 380 yen. The Hakata Ramen arrived at 6:04 PM. The noodles were very thin, typical of Hakata style ramen. The soup was surprisingly mild and easy to drink without getting tired of it. I added spicy pickled vegetables, red ginger, and white sesame from the table condiments. The thin slices of pork also went well with the soup and were delicious. The Simmered Tripe arrived at 6:07 PM, and they provided chili pepper for seasoning. The tripe was microwaved, so the bowl was hot. It had a good ginger flavor and was tasty. When I left the restaurant, two couples were waiting in line. It might also be a good place to visit as an izakaya. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about this Hakata ramen shop for a while, as I always smelled the pork bone broth whenever I passed by. The menu also includes mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and simmered dishes from the Hakata region, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes. The noodles are thin and they mix well with the soup, and it's great to add some pickled mustard greens with mentaiko from the table to change the flavor. I often struggle to finish a large portion of ramen, but before I knew it, I had finished it all. It was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

I went to Hakata Ramen Barikote in Koenji Minami, Suginami-ku for lunch. They open at 11 o'clock and there were already 4 people inside. The seating consists of only about 7 counter seats. It's a shop where you don't buy meal tickets, and I ordered the Ramen with all toppings for 1250 yen. The flavor is tonkotsu ramen with thin wheat noodles, spicy takana, red pickled ginger, ground sesame, and grated garlic are available, so I was able to enjoy the extra noodles without getting tired of it. It was delicious. The extra noodles cost 140 yen, and half extra noodles cost 70 yen, so I was able to eat until I was comfortably full. There was a parking lot near the shop.

I visited near closing time on a regular day. There was a bit of a wait even at that late hour. I ordered the Chashu Ramen, which had slices of chashu all around the rim of the bowl. The rich pork bone soup was quite delicious. They have a wide variety of condiments on the table for customization. Although there are many ticket machines at restaurants now, please note that you pay after your meal at this place.

Visited "Hakata Ramen Barikote", a 15-minute walk from Nakano Station. This is one of the top pork bone ramen shops in Tokyo. Ordered the Hakata ramen with extra firm noodles (750 yen). The simple yet bold pork bone broth has a slight unique aroma, but the addictive deliciousness stands out. Despite being pork bone, it has a "light" quality to it, which is highly reminiscent of the original. The warning sign for the spicy pickled mustard greens on the table is no joke, it is really spicy so be careful. The thin noodles have a pleasant roughness, giving a bit of a junk food vibe that captures the essence of authentic Hakata ramen. The atmosphere reminiscent of Hakata's street stalls adds to the overall satisfaction, making it a place you'd want near your home. It's a perfect dish for a late-night meal after drinking. Thank you for the meal!

Today at 12:10, I came to Hakata Ramen Barikote in Nakano? Higashi-Koenji? with a rating of 3.75 out of the top 5000 on Tabelog. I ordered the All-in-One Ramen for 1250 yen over the counter. Oh, a curtain of meat... The soup is the classic tonkotsu broth. Thin straight noodles. This is the standard tonkotsu ramen that I know. It's much tastier than the nearby top 100 tonkotsu ramen shop I visited a while ago. While I can't go to Tanaka Shoten in Adachi Ward every time, within my range of action, this is one of the top tonkotsu ramen places. However, because it's tonkotsu, people's preferences may vary. If you go without high expectations, you'll find it delicious. The customer next to me called out for "nama" (raw) noodles. What does "nama" mean? Are they firmer than hōtō (soft) noodles? I'll ask Google later. In Power Pro baseball stats terms, it's like having Meat E. Since many people don't like tonkotsu, if you have Power B, you'll hit home runs. It's like this season's Satter (baseball player for the Hanshin Tigers). With a Power D, it's a fierce battle between Nakano and Koenji, so they might attract other customers. With a Shoulder Power C, it's a tonkotsu ramen shop, so don't expect much from the interior. Personally, I think it's clean among tonkotsu places. With a Defense B, it's a simple tonkotsu ramen, so it seems like the taste is consistently good no matter when you go. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered Char siu ramen with extra noodles, half extra noodles, grilled dumplings, and a bottle of beer. It was delicious. The ramen was light and easy to eat, with no strong smell, and I felt like I could eat as many bowls as I wanted. The grilled dumplings were small and easy to eat in one bite, and they were delicious. I would like to visit again!

When I entered the shop, the smell of pork bone soup filled the air. There were about 8 seats, but I was able to get in without waiting on a Saturday afternoon! The chashu was thin, the noodles were thin, and they went well with the rich pork bone soup! The dumplings were small and I could eat as many as I wanted. I want to go back again.

Hakata Ramen Barikote (Tokyo/Higashi-Koenji) 1-30-15 Koenji Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo "Tamago Ramen ¥880" Located about a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Koenji Station on the Marunouchi Line, along the Odakyu Avenue, this Hakata ramen shop opened on December 21, 2000. It has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in Tokyo by Tabelog. In the past, there were branches in Takadanobaba and Toshima Home Economics, but currently, only this main store remains. The Takadanobaba store closed and the former manager opened a new one under the name "Hakata Ramen Barichan", which has now been renamed "Hakata Ramen Debuchan". Order the "Tamago Ramen" with the noodles cooked firm. The soup is a mild tonkotsu broth without any unpleasant smell. It has a slightly thick and creamy soup that you can't help but slurp up. Add grated garlic halfway through to give it a boost. The noodles are very thin, typical of Hakata ramen, and you can easily slurp them up with the firm texture. I didn't go for an extra serving because I had already eaten. The toppings include thin slices of pork, green onions, and a seasoned boiled egg. This simple topping is the essence of Hakata ramen. There are few places in Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic delicious Hakata ramen, but this is definitely one of the recommended ones. This is the real deal Hakata ramen. It was a feast. #HakataRamen #HakataTonkotsu #HakataTonkotsuRamen #Ramen #Noodles #NoodleLover #RamenLover #RamenInstagram #RamenLoverCommunity #RamenPatrol #RamenExploration #Foodstagram #RamenInTokyo #SuginamiRamen #HigashiKoenjiFoodie #RyumenTokyo #RyumenSuginami #RyumenHigashiKoenji Posted by @ryumen827

On a cloudy Tuesday in Hakata, after living there for 7 years, I had my favorite Nagahama ramen for the first time in a year and a half. I ordered the Negi Ramen for ¥900, asking for it to be cooked firm. It arrived in just 2 minutes. The tonkotsu soup was mild and slightly sweet. I used to add two extra servings of noodles in the past and drink all the soup, but I couldn't do it this time. Thank you for the delicious meal. (Gluten-free for health reasons, indulging in wheat flour once a month)

The authentic taste is here! I love Nandankanden, so there's no reason for me not to like this place. The staff here is fantastic - they are quick and efficient. Even though it's a ramen shop, they were able to make a lot of drinks quickly and efficiently. The food also comes out very quickly! Even though this shop only has counter seating, with this kind of efficiency, I'm sure they have a high turnover rate and will be loved by many people. Both the taste and the staff were excellent at this restaurant!

Ramen, rice, and half portion of extra noodles for 970 yen. I arrived around 1pm and there was no wait. The broth was clear with a mild animal smell at first, but then it had a refreshing pork bone flavor. The noodles were thinner than somen noodles and cooked for about 20 seconds, so they arrived quickly and were firm as requested. The chashu was very thin, only 2 slices. The spicy mustard greens were appropriately spicy. Even after finishing the meal, there was still a slight animal smell, but I don't mind it. I prefer the Hokkaido style broth.

Today's lunch was a rare treat, as there was no line and we were able to get in easily. The restaurant had only counter seats, which were filled with about 7 people. I checked the menu displayed on the wall above the counter and ordered the "Negi Ramen" in extra firm noodles. The menu had five levels of doneness: raw, extra firm, firm, regular, and soft, and it mentioned that the noodles are of high quality and can be eaten raw. The delivery of the ramen was fast. The ramen had plenty of green onions. I started by sipping the soup, which had a nice pork bone flavor without any unpleasant aftertaste and didn't make my lips sticky. The noodles were cooked just the way I like them, extra firm. The chashu pork was tender and fell apart easily. I added ground sesame seeds and grated garlic halfway through, and it was quite delicious. It was a great meal.

A ramen shop located about a 10-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Koenji Station. Their specialty is Hakata tonkotsu ramen. The chashu spreads out like a flower, making you want to take a picture of it. I ordered the chashu ramen. The noodles are very firm and delicious. The pork flavor comes through nicely, which is great. The chashu slices are thin. The extra noodle portion is generous and can be split in half. It tasted better when I added the toppings of spicy mustard greens, ground sesame, and pickled ginger together.

I was looking for something like this! There aren't many Hakata ramen shops in Tokyo that really hit the spot for me. But this place was exactly to my liking for Hakata ramen. Thin noodles, firm texture, extra noodles, slightly rich but also refreshing soup, and the gyoza...! Everything was in perfect balance. My companion from Hakata even said, "This is definitely Hakata ramen." Haha, I want to eat here again! The only downside is that it's a bit far from the station...! But if it were closer to my home, I would definitely be a regular.

There are few places in Tokyo where you can find ramen that smells so strongly of tonkotsu (in a good way). The counter seats only about 5-6 people, so there may be a line depending on the time. I have been here several times, but it seems like the taste has changed during the pandemic? It feels like it has become lighter, but it is still delicious.
