I had been wanting to visit the restaurant of Chef Kataoka, who is also active on TV and in books. Finally, my wish came true and I made my first visit. Chef Kataoka was as friendly and wonderful as rumored. Despite being so famous, he was very humble and went around greeting tables. He even took a commemorative photo with us and gave us his autograph. Now, let's talk about the food. We chose the 9870 yen course from the three options available for dinner. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious. The carrot mousse with fresh sea urchin was particularly memorable for its smooth texture and great taste. The herb butter-grilled abalone was hot and escargot-style, perfect with wine. The pasta was also very tasty, and the overall course had a generous amount of food for the price. We started with champagne and then enjoyed a selection of wines that paired well with the dishes. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and I definitely want to go back again.

This restaurant is overseeing the Western food section at Seven Eleven's "Festival of Famous Gourmet". It was my wife's birthday, so we made a reservation a few days in advance and visited the restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed, creating a very nice atmosphere. Our expectations were high. We ordered the lunch course for 4,500 yen. We enjoyed a glass of Spumante and red wine as our drinks. On my wife's dessert plate, it was written "Buon compleanno" and they even took a commemorative photo, printed it out, and gave it to us on the spot. (I forgot to take a picture) Delicious food and warm service... we were very satisfied! Thank you for the meal♪

I had pasta at an event before and it was very delicious, so I wanted to have dinner at the restaurant. From the appetizers to the dessert, all the dishes were very delicious and I was very satisfied. After the meal, I had a chat with Chef Kataoka and was impressed by his friendly personality. I will definitely come back again. I am grateful for the enjoyable dinner that left me very satisfied.

The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and well-portioned, and everything went smoothly. The foie gras and meat were outstanding, and the pasta was exceptional. The owner/chef came to greet us before the meal and even came out of the kitchen to say goodbye to us, which made us feel appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was soothed by the polite customer service. The seating was spaced out well, allowing me to relax and enjoy a leisurely time with my friend. The lunch course was delicious. I love the sea urchin pasta. The female sommelier who saw us off outside left a good impression. I will visit again for dinner next time.

I was invited to Alporto after a long time. Perhaps this place was the first to introduce the concept of "small plates" to Italian cuisine? What may seem obvious now was probably groundbreaking and sensational when they first started, influencing many people. It is truly a legendary restaurant. We had dishes like prosciutto with melon, fried mehikari (a type of fish), flounder carpaccio, onion soup, tuna cutlet, foie gras sauté with risotto, cold pasta with fruit tomatoes, scampi tagliolini, cutlet, blood orange granita, pistachio crème brûlée, and coffee. I usually don't order course meals because each dish tends to lose its impact and the plates may not be flat, but here everything was stable and impressive. My favorites were the cold pasta with fruit tomatoes, cutlet, and pistachio crème brûlée. When I was younger, I sought out restaurants for new and exciting flavors, but now I appreciate the consistency and deliciousness of every dish. With the son in the kitchen, there may be new and innovative dishes in the future, but I hope they continue to provide reliable and delicious food.

I went to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. It's always a popular place and reservations were full. I visited for lunch and it was bustling with older customers. The food was delicious, especially the pasta and dessert. The timing of serving the dishes was good. Chef Kataoka even came to greet us at our table. When we left, he helped me put on my coat and bid us goodbye. He was very friendly and it was a pleasant surprise. I had a relaxing meal and was very satisfied.

Pioneering Italian chef Katayama's restaurant✨ You may already know the deliciousness of the pasta, but underneath the foie gras! The interesting texture of the risotto, cut out and baked✨ Enjoying the freshness and deliciousness of the seasonal asparagus and more, a new form and taste from a long-established restaurant, it has been a while but still feels fresh and enjoyable. Thank you for the meal♬

At a workplace farewell party. The dishes are not extravagant but always reliable. The food is decent. The portions are elegant, so you can enjoy just the right amount. It's easy to use for family gatherings. It's nice that Chef Kataoka always greets us every time.

I have visited this restaurant for dinner several times, but today I came for lunch. Every dish was delicious and I was completely satisfied with my lunch. I always feel the love and care put into the food and the restaurant whenever I come here. Each dish is made with great attention to detail and the service is impeccable. I would love to spend a special occasion dinner here. Despite it being lunchtime, Chef Kataoka personally came to greet each table and even saw us off when we left. I am always impressed by the wonderful seasonal menu and the level of service and professionalism here.

I was shocked after eating a product supervised by Chef Kataoka at Seven, so I ended up eating it almost every day during the promotional period. I thought, if it's this delicious at a convenience store, how delicious must it be at the actual restaurant?! So, I went and it was just amazing! The ingredients seemed ordinary, but the quality must be good or the cooking must be amazing, it was just so delicious! I quietly discussed with my friends while eating. It's not a place I can afford to go to frequently, but I want to go again! Chef Kataoka came around the tables during our meal to greet us, and I was so moved that my emotions went wild. In the end, we were able to take a photo together, and it was a day filled with overflowing gratitude in every direction.

A cozy Italian restaurant near Nishi-Azabu intersection, with a nice brightness using white color as the main theme. The interior is decorated with paintings, small items, lighting, flowers, and table settings, all cute, warm, and cozy. This time, I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday. The "Chef's Choice Lunch Course" included: - Assorted 5 appetizers - Scallops gratin - Choice of pasta: Cabbage and bottarga fedelini - Choice of main dish: Sauteed sea bass with rapeseed flower sauce and asparagus - Dessert - Coffee. The dishes made with seasonal ingredients were beautiful, delicious, and made me happy. Especially the pasta! The chef's dedication to Italian cuisine starts and ends with pasta, and it's understandable why it's known as the symbol of Restaurant Al Porto. I still can't forget how delicious it was. All the other pasta options I didn't choose looked equally delicious. I definitely want to go back again! Thank you for the wonderful meal! ★

I went to the Italia Exhibition at Fukuya Hatchobori Main Store from January 12th to 17th to buy wine, and decided to have lunch at Al Porto, where I had eaten once before and found it delicious. I had:
- Smoked salmon marinated salad with dill flavor for ¥660. It was delicious and to my liking.
- Spaghetti with tomato sauce and lobster for ¥2,310 (limited to 40 servings per day). It had a quite stimulating taste.
- Set with panna cotta (strawberry flavor) and coffee for ¥770. It was delicious, especially because I love strawberries. (laughs)

Today I visited a renowned restaurant, but it seems the chef was not there. The crab salad was incredibly delicious, and the consomme jelly reminded me of a restaurant nearby. The place was packed with customers, and they even had to turn down phone reservations due to their popularity. It was a beautiful and delicious restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Appetizer 5 kinds of assorted soups Federini with tomato sauce, basil pesto, and ricotta cheese Sautéed veal and foie gras with Marsala sauce Dessert Chef Kataoka's famous restaurant Al Porto The menu is classic Italian cuisine, but each dish is perfect. The pasta with basil sauce is rich and goes perfectly with cheese. The scallops in the soup are perfectly cooked. The meat dish with Marsala sauce made with red wine is a fail-safe combination. A course like this at a famous restaurant for around 3000 yen! Even if you order additional menu items, it doesn't feel too expensive. This time, I regret ordering a main dish and a drink for the toast, which made it a bit more expensive... Beautiful decorations, lovely tableware including Ginori, and a happy atmosphere. Despite the location, the age group was older, creating a calm atmosphere.

I had a course lunch at the restaurant. Although I think it is an Italian restaurant, the wide range of ingredients used made me feel that it is a place that cannot be simply categorized as Italian. The overall taste was gentle and everything was beautifully presented, making me want to savor each bite. In particular, I was surprised by the richness of the aroma of the brown mushroom pasta. Despite it being my first visit, I was touched by Chef Kataoka personally coming to greet our table. I definitely want to visit again for dinner next time.

This Italian restaurant was the pioneer of the Italian restaurant boom. We visited on our anniversary and made a reservation on Tabelog in advance. We were greeted with a complimentary aperitif of Mimosa for the occasion. We opted for the chef's special lunch course. The pasta, meat, and my partner's fish were all meticulously prepared and delicate. Among them, the sea urchin pasta stood out, with a much more delicate finish compared to what I'm used to in Hawaii at places like Arancino, Taormina, and Bernini, and the flavor of the sea urchin was gently brought out. It was a fitting restaurant for our anniversary. I look forward to trying out various other dishes next time. Chef Kataoka came to our table to greet us. I was also touched when leaving the restaurant, as they helped each of us put on our coats.

I went to one of the famous Italian restaurants in Nishi-Azabu, Al Porto. They explained each menu item to us, but it would have been helpful if they had written a bit more detail on the menu. Overall, everything was delicious, especially the curry powder seasoning on the fish amuse-bouche, which was innovative and tasty. I also enjoyed Chef Kataoka's pasta, who has a strong commitment to pasta. The owner came to greet us at the end, and we had a nice chat. The owner was very friendly and down-to-earth, leaving a great impression as a lovely person. The food and the people at this restaurant were both fantastic!

Alporto Kataoka Chef's Italian is my favorite Italian restaurant. The dishes are elegant and visually appealing, with smaller portions that are just right. Even the desserts are delicious. Chef Kataoka is friendly and even sees you off after your meal, which is a nice touch. This is a restaurant I want to visit every month.

Located in a residential area off the main street from Nishi-Azabu intersection, "RISTORANTE Alporto" means "at the port" in Italian. It is owned by the master of the Japanese Italian cuisine world, Chef Mamoru Kataoka. The restaurant's atmosphere is quite old-fashioned, with a clientele mainly consisting of elderly people and families, giving off a not-so-sexy vibe. The wine prices are not too high for the area, with sparkling wine by the glass at 1,600 yen and a bottle of Cadalbosco at 8,000 yen. However, it seemed like no one was really drinking around us. The recommended special menu by Chef Kataoka, priced around 10,000 yen, was ordered. The dishes included a crab salad with grapefruit and strawberry sauce, carrot mousse with sea urchin and consomme jelly, garlic butter-grilled clams, foie gras sauteed with saffron risotto, seafood stew sauce fettuccine, and taliolini with Kumamoto red beef. The food was undeniably delicious, with the foie gras and red beef dishes standing out. However, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant felt outdated and lacked excitement. After enjoying the meal with a bottle of wine for two people, the bill came to around 15,000 yen per person, which seemed reasonable considering the location. It is important for any establishment to update and stay current, as this restaurant seemed to be stuck in a time warp from 20-30 years ago.

On a weekend with bad weather and cold temperatures, I visited a top Italian restaurant in Nishi-Azabu to celebrate my birthday. It had been a while since I last visited Nishi-Azabu, and the familiar sights brought back memories. Al Porto in Nishi-Azabu, where the Japanese Italian cuisine master Mamoru Kataoka serves as the owner chef. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by Mr. Kataoka himself. It may have been just a coincidence, but I was moved by the warm welcome from the master. The menu consisted of 5 courses from appetizers to dessert, and each dish was truly delicious. ① Assorted appetizers (caprese, chicken liver paste, marinated octopus and celery, fried eggplant, prosciutto and melon) ② Snow crab croquette ③ Brown mushroom fettuccine / fettuccine with cabbage and bottarga ④ Sautéed veal and foie gras / oven-baked Iwate pork and cabbage stew ⑤ Dessert
