This is a bakery located about a 5-minute walk from Oshiage Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. They have a small eat-in space with only 2-3 seats, but it seems to be unused due to the current pandemic situation. My wife had been interested in this shop for a while, and when we heard that they would be participating in SWEETSBOX at Ichikawa Station on the JR Sobu Line from December 7th to 13th, we decided to visit. The sandwiches we tried were delicious, so we ended up going twice. The first time, we bought visually appealing sandwiches: Apple compote and rum raisin fruit sandwich, and Taiwanese castella and Italian pudding sandwich. The sandwiches were generously filled with fruits and trendy ingredients like Taiwanese castella, and the bread itself was delicious. The combination of ingredients was excellent. The second time, we tried some savory items: Maritozzo and ham cutlet yakisoba bread. The Maritozzo was creamy and not bad, but the ham cutlet yakisoba bread was a bit difficult to eat despite having good ingredients. Overall, we hope they continue to improve and look forward to trying more delicious items. On another visit to the shop, we couldn't forget their fruit sandwiches, so we made a special trip to Oshiage. We arrived around 4:30 pm and had to wait a bit as only two customers were allowed inside at a time. We mentioned that we had visited when they were in Ichikawa, and the staff seemed very happy. This time, we bought a mixed fruit sandwich and a char siu and boiled egg sandwich. The fruit sandwiches were exceptional as always, and the char siu sandwich was delicious, especially the flavor of the char siu. We definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the delicious food.

The volume of the bread with plenty of ingredients is amazing, so my mother and I went to Asakusa to try it out while shopping. It was located right inside Matsuya Asakusa, and easy to spot. This time, I chose the Shine Muscat and Fig Sandwich. The Hokkaido pure fresh cream was light and plentiful, making it a satisfying dish that I didn't get tired of until the end. They also have a variety of homemade deli sandwiches. Highly recommended for gifts or for yourself! [Matsuya Asakusa] Limited-time event from 9/13 (Wed) to 9/19 (Tue) 10:00-20:00 1st floor, 1-4-1 Hanakawado, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

Every time passing by, cocona was not particularly interested in fruit sandwiches, but after seeing a sign for a melon pan sandwich filled with red bean paste and thick slices of butter, she couldn't help but be intrigued. A friend who was skilled in baking had once detailed the process of making melon pan, so she knew just how efficiently she could consume high calories with this food. Moreover, it's red bean paste and extremely thick slices of butter. Who wouldn't want to experience the forbidden pleasure of looking down from the peak to the base? That's why she visited the restaurant, only to find out that the melon pan sandwich that day was in Taiwanese style, not like the one in the picture on the sign. It seems they make various adjustments depending on the season. Being Taiwanese-style, it had a slightly healthier (?) appearance. The pie-like texture of the crust was somewhat subdued, and there wasn't as much visible coarse sugar sprinkled on top. She rated it a 4 on the forbidden pleasure scale. The famous one near Sensoji Temple in Asakusa would be a 2, maybe. It has a strong pie crust and a lot of coarse sugar, and it's just huge. But since you walk around a lot as a tourist while eating it, deduct 1, so it's a 2. cocona's sandwich looked like a 2 visually, but the destructive power of the red bean paste and butter gave it a +2. Now, let's taste it. The butter was more intense than expected. The dough was rich and dense, making the one in Asakusa seem quite light in comparison. After eating a quarter, take a break. Since the distribution of red bean paste and butter is uneven, if possible, it's better to disassemble it, even out with a butter knife, and then eat it. If you plan to eat the fruit sandwich as well, it's better to start with that. Just like how you eat lean fish before fatty fish, it's the same principle.

After exiting from the B1 exit at the southern end of Oshiage Station, walk a few minutes towards Kinshicho to find a bakery. It's a small shop that only offers takeout, with about 7 types of bread displayed and fruit sandwiches in the refrigerated showcase. I visited in the morning on a weekday and tried the fruit sandwich, which cost around 600 yen. The bread was moist and fluffy, with a generous amount of kiwi, strawberry, and orange. The cream was creamy but not overly sweet. Overall, it was delicious, although a bit pricey and a bit difficult to eat. I also want to try their shrimp cutlet sandwich and white fish sandwich in the future.

I was walking around and stumbled upon a sandwich shop, so I decided to take a peek inside. They had a variety of sweet and savory sandwiches available. I purchased a "Banh Mi" for 486 yen (including 8% tax). It was a Banh Mi with pork, and it also had pickled daikon and carrots, although they seemed a bit sparse and didn't really give it that Banh Mi flavor.

Isn't the sandwich filling amazing? The lineup of voluminous sandwiches is impressive. It's hard to choose between sweet and salty fillings. After much deliberation, I purchased a fruit sandwich with strawberries and a sandwich with mentaiko and egg (totaling 1220 yen). The fruit sandwich with strawberries was delicious, especially when chilled in the refrigerator. The bread was soft and tasty. The mentaiko and egg sandwich also had a hint of cheese, I think. I took a big bite and enjoyed it.

The breakfast on this day was a sandwich from Coco-na-san that was purchased the day before. Despite the atmosphere of the store, they offer quite outrageous sandwiches. The storefront prominently displays fruit sandwiches, giving the impression that it would attract girls looking to buy maritozzo, but upon entering, the bread being sold by the kind female staff is mostly hearty sandwiches! The ingredients used in the sandwiches include hamburgers, yakisoba, Napolitan, tamagoyaki, tonkatsu, and other difficult-to-sandwich items that are forcefully sandwiched and wrapped. The items purchased were banh mi, miso katsu dashi roll sandwich, and ham katsu yakisoba. - Banh Mi: Pork flavor with daikon and carrot slaw. The taste of the French bread is also prominent and delicious. - Miso Katsu Dashi Roll Sandwich: Just the right thickness for the mouth. Sweet dashi roll with miso katsu. The moisture of the bread is just right. - Ham Katsu Yakisoba: Ham katsu, yakisoba, omelette with ketchup. The ham katsu tastes like hamburger. The moisture and fine texture of the bread are good. The bread is thick, about 8 slices, with a good bite to it. The bread might be mixed with cream. The deliciousness of the bread stands out, with a significant amount of filling balanced well. It was a feast.

Sandwich shop located near the intersection of Gyobira 3-chome in the direction of Kinshicho from Oshiage Station. I wanted to buy something light for the evening and decided to stop by here. I entered the shop around 3 pm on Saturday. They had about 10 types of sandwiches and burgers. The sandwiches looked visually appealing and were quite large. I purchased the following: - "Miso Katsu Dashi Tamago Sandwich" - "Snowball" (Tonkatsu Dashi Tamago) I thought "Tonkatsu Dashi Tamago" would be two separate sandwiches, but it turned out to be one sandwich. It had three slices of bread and was quite thick, making it a bit challenging to eat. I tried eating one side at a time and mixing them by taking two bites. The bread was soft and had a nice aroma, possibly from butter. The Dashi Tamago was sweet and moist, cooked to perfection. The combination of the sandwich was excellent, although the tonkatsu side was a bit salty and greasy due to the sauce. The "Snowball" was a type of Maritozzo with a brioche bread that had a light texture. It was filled with strawberry-flavored cream and was easy to eat in one go. It had a good portion size, but it felt a bit pricey. Overall, it was hard to evaluate due to the visually appealing but challenging-to-eat sandwiches. Since the Dashi Tamago was delicious, I would recommend trying their dessert options.

I went all the way to Oshiage, so I bought some bread at Cafe Cocoa. It is an interesting bakery with unique characteristics in appearance and fillings. I purchased the Baked Sweet Potato Milky Coppe Pan and the Sweet Red Bean Paste, Kinako Cream, and Butter Sandwich. The Baked Sweet Potato Milky Coppe Pan has baked sweet potato sandwiched between coppe bread, and the smooth sweet potato and milk cream go really well together. The coppe bread beautifully brings together the two fillings. The Sweet Red Bean Paste, Kinako Cream, and Butter Sandwich is a dessert lover's dream with sweet red bean paste, kinako cream, and butter sandwiched between slices of bread. The aroma of kinako and the texture of the red bean paste complement each other very well. Next time, I want to try their burger options.

Looking for a cute sandwich, I headed to a bakery near the Skytree called "Cafe Cocona." Located on the way to Kinshicho from the Skytree, this shop offers handmade deli and bread. They have a variety of sandwiches, including popular fruit sandwiches. I decided to try the "Fig" sandwich, which was filled with a whole fig. The fig was sweet and the cream had a milky flavor, making it a light and enjoyable sandwich. I also tried the "Ham Cutlet Mie Goreng" sandwich, which featured Indonesian Mie Goreng, thick ham cutlet, and omelette. It had a spicy kick but could have been spicier in my opinion. Lastly, I had the "Tonkatsu Egg Sandwich," which had a crispy tonkatsu and sweet miso sauce. The sweet egg and sesame bread complemented the flavors well. Overall, the sandwiches were filling but a bit pricey. I preferred the fruit sandwich over the deli sandwiches.

In my neighborhood, I often visit Cafe Coccona for lunch on weekends. Before the pandemic, they used to have a cafe as well, but now it has turned into a takeout-only bakery. They offer a variety of homemade sandwiches, and their fruit sandwiches were even featured on TV. When a dish is featured on TV, there tends to be long lines on the following weekend. The portions are quite generous and prices are around 400 yen each. I heard they started serving curry last year, but I haven't confirmed if they still offer it (laughs). They used to have idol banners outside the shop for taking photos, but I haven't seen them recently, so now it's just photos of the bread.

The event held from May 18th to 24th was unexpectedly a huge success, and I also bought the popular cup bread. After buying it, it was difficult to keep the jelly from wobbling. It would slide off if tilted even a little. Unfortunately, it collapsed by the time I ate it, but it was delicious.

Around 12 o'clock, there was no one there when I arrived. But later, a line started to form! I ordered the "Lemon Cheesecake" which has lemon, cream, and cheesecake inside. The yogurt acidity is strong, refreshing, and not too rich. The edges were disappointing as they were a bit empty. The "3-Color Dango An Butter" was impressive with the inclusion of dango. It was filled with red bean paste and butter, catering to those with a sweet tooth. It was delicious. The "Mille Crepe" was the best. The sweet cream and crepe were tasty. It may look simple, but the taste was great. The "Taiwan Melon Pan An Butter" was dry, and the parts without filling were hard to eat. The strawberry jam was sour, so it was not satisfying. I wouldn't buy it again. Overall, the bread is thin, as can be seen in the photos, and it feels like holding a triangle. It's small and expensive, making it hard to buy. The cost-performance ratio is not good. It's good for a treat though.

The nearest station is Oshiage Station. The shop is about a 10-minute walk from the station down a side street. They offer Gratin Croquette Banh Mi for 400 yen. The Gratin Croquette may look like a hamburger sandwich, but it is actually a croquette. It is generously topped with sauce that has a deep flavor. The croquette itself is delicious even on its own. The Banh Mi features raw fish and ground meat as the main ingredients, with plenty of cilantro on top. I could taste the garlic butter flavor inside, though I couldn't tell if it was garlic and butter separately or garlic butter.

Purple sweet potato cream from Katori, Chiba Prefecture is delicious, slightly sweet with a strong milk flavor. However, this amount is a bit too much, the sweetness becomes overwhelming. The bread is like brioche, fluffy. The purple sweet potato chips are moist, unsure if they are chips.

There were many customers as soon as the restaurant opened! I've had my favorite red bean butter sandwich in many places before, but this place was the most delicious! I also ate a lot of Maritozzo, but the Tiramisu Maritozzo was delicious. The side dishes bread was also very, very delicious. I want to go back soon!

While heading towards Tokyo Skytree from Kinshicho's Kogane-yu Onsen, I stumbled upon a charming handmade deli and bread cafe called Cocona. Intrigued, I decided to pop in and was immediately drawn to their fruit sandwiches, especially the mango sandwich. I got a mango sandwich to go, made with perfectly ripe mango slices and fresh cream sandwiched between a chiffon cake-like bread with an exquisite texture. It was absolutely delicious.

On a day off, I took a walk towards Oshiage. I crossed Kasuga Street from Kinshicho, and there is a fruit sandwich shop in the Oshiage area. I bought one fruit sandwich as the eat-in option seemed to be on hold. It was a combination of peach and pineapple. When I opened it at home, it was slightly crushed. Maybe it was canned fruit? The fruits didn't seem very fresh... It's true that it might be a bit early for peaches. The cream was light, and the bread was good. They also had the popular Maritozzo on display. Thank you for the meal.

A hand-made sandwich shop in Gyotoku, Sumida-ku. Currently, they are only open for takeout. The small shop can only accommodate one person at a time, and it is filled with delicious fruit sandwiches. ● Maritozzo 432 yen (tax included) A brioche bun with a hint of egg flavor, filled with not-too-sweet and refreshing cream. It's deliciously refreshing. ● An Butter 400 yen (tax included) This combination is usually delicious. Sweet red bean paste with the richness of butter. The bagel was quite firm, and generously sprinkled with sesame seeds.

I went to a bakery that I had been hearing about and passed by. There weren't many people lining up, but a lot of people passing by seemed interested. Currently, they only offer takeout due to the situation. I couldn't decide what to get, but ended up choosing a dessert bread. It was filled with plenty of fruits and cream! The cream had just the right amount of sweetness and paired perfectly with the tartness of the fruits. It was sandwiched between a fluffy bread, making it a delicious dessert. I also tried a bread with thick tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) inside, which gave it a satisfying texture. It was a shame that some items were sold out because I went late. I'll make sure to go earlier next time. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely visit again.

I was on a diet but really wanted something sweet! A fruit sandwich, to be exact! So I hopped on my bike and headed to the store! (☝︎ ՞ਊ ՞)☝︎ Only one person is allowed inside the store at a time due to COVID-19 measures. It's a small shop, so the infection prevention measures are top-notch. For lunch, I had the white fish tartare. It was a fish burger. I lightly baked it in the oven before trying it. Oh, it was delicious!!! (☝︎ > ਊ <)☝︎♪ The white fish fry was crispy! The bread was soft and had a gentle sweetness. The onions had a bit of spiciness. I wish there was a bit more tartare, but the deliciousness of the bread made up for it. Delicious! The kiwi mix had chunks of kiwi and strawberries! Oh, it was delicious!!! (☝︎ > ਊ <)☝︎♪ And the refreshing cream that enhances the sweetness of the fruits! The bread was moist and tasty. I also had to try the trendy simple matryoshka! The fruit sandwich in the photo got squished because it got caught between the wheels of my bike… (T . T) They accept PayPay. Thank you for the meal~
