"Omurice (880 yen)"
"All Toppings (440 yen)"
This time, in addition to the regular omurice, we also ordered the "All Toppings" which includes sausage, fried egg, and cheese. Ordering the All Toppings is more cost-effective than ordering each topping separately. The omurice that was brought to us had the same beautiful visual as in the photos. The finely textured omelette, which is no exaggeration to say has made this omurice famous, is unique with a fluffy, cake-like texture. The taste is very simple, likely due to the addition of milk or cream, making it very creamy. The portion size is generous, using eggs equivalent to more than three. The rice was slightly soft, with a slightly moist ketchup rice and a distinct butter aroma. The ingredients included finely chopped bacon and onions, with a hint of black pepper. However, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about the taste of the rice. As for the toppings of cheese, fried egg, and sausage, they definitely enhance the appearance of the omurice, but honestly, they didn't add much to the taste. The visual appeal is undoubtedly top-notch nationwide, and the texture of the omelette is fantastic. However, in terms of taste, there was nothing particularly outstanding.
In conclusion, "Om's Narrow Road" located along Meiji Street in the Hikifune area. This omurice specialty shop has already been featured in numerous media and boasts a well-deserved popularity. The reason for its popularity is undoubtedly the incredibly beautiful omurice. Its visual beauty has made it a hit on social media platforms, even in still images, showcasing a beauty akin to a work of art. Another factor contributing to its popularity is its rarity, as it is only open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, leading to a concentration of visitors. To visit, you need a numbered ticket, which is typically distributed around 9:00. On this Thursday, I arrived around 10:00 and managed to get a ticket. After that, you can visit anytime until 15:00, but people usually line up in front of the store waiting for it to open. I revisited at 12:50 on this day and entered at 13:35 with a wait of 5 groups. Since each omurice is made by one person, it takes a considerable amount of time to prepare, so it's advisable to visit when you have plenty of time. The ticket is limited to one per person, so everyone in your group must line up together. It's not the easiest place to visit, but seeing this visual in real life is worth it.
