On a bustling Saturday in Ginza Inz, there were foreign tourists with guidebooks lining up outside the high-end sukiyaki restaurant Yoshizawa. Young couples were also waiting in line. The well-established Chinese noodle shop Kyoraku, which is a must-visit, was closed today. Surprisingly, the popular dining spot Yoshisoba was empty. Even though there is usually a long line on weekdays, today it was vacant. I like spring chrysanthemum tempura, but the price of leafy vegetables was surprisingly high, so the restaurant remained closed. Yoshisoba is always my go-to, but I always order the udon. I like the smooth and thick Hiya Mugi noodles.

Recently, I found myself in Ginza at night with no idea what to eat. After some deliberation, I decided to try the standing soba shop "Yoshi Soba Ginza Main Store" for the first time in a while. The "tempura rice bowl set" displayed outside looked incredibly delicious. Yoshi Soba is known for its delicious soba noodles, but what really stands out is the amazing broth. The broth has a subtle sweetness and a rich flavor that is truly delightful. When you sprinkle some shichimi spice on top, the sweetness is balanced out and you can enjoy a different taste. I was pleasantly surprised by the tempura rice bowl here, as the tender tempura is seasoned with the same sweet broth, creating a perfect harmony. The rice was also cooked perfectly, adding to the overall deliciousness. If they consistently serve dishes like this, I have high expectations for their other rice bowl options as well.

The soba noodles are delicious. The table is simple, with chopsticks and chili peppers. I was a little concerned about the dust, but maybe that's just how it is. There are various menu options, so you can keep coming back without getting tired of it. Recommended for those who want to eat cheaply even in Ginza.

When you're in a hurry, this place is quick. It was around 1pm on a weekday and about 90% full, but I managed to get a standing spot (there are also seats available). There used to be various free services in the past, but now there are none. Even extra green onions are charged for. The broth is gentle with a moderate amount of salt. The soba noodles are slightly thick and pale in color. It would be nice if they had cold soba noodles too! Thank you for the meal.

It was another day of visiting the restaurant. Yesterday, when I bought the ticket for the "Spring Chrysanthemum Tempura Soba", I caught a glimpse of the "Spicy Pork Soba" and it piqued my interest. I decided to try it right away. It was spicy! Despite being labeled as "spicy", I thought it would be somewhat mild, but it was extremely spicy! You can't underestimate it. However, it was delicious. I sweated a lot and my stomach was full. Thank you for the meal~♪ The inside of the restaurant has effective air conditioning. For those who are not fans of air conditioning, I recommend the corner to the left after entering the entrance.

I had lunch at the Yoshisoba Ginza main store. I ordered the Spring Chrysanthemum Tempura Soba with an additional croquette topping. The spring chrysanthemum tempura had a strong flavor and really increased my appetite. The portion size was decent as well. By the way, all the vegetables are domestically sourced. The interior of the restaurant was clean and had a calm atmosphere. Come to think of it, putting croquettes on soba might be a unique culture of standing soba eateries. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal~♪

I stopped by for a late-night meal after drinking. It was 11 pm, and I was in Ginza on my way home after drinking. I suddenly felt like having some ramen for a late-night snack, so I checked out a few places, but they were all crowded even at this hour. I gave up and wandered around the outskirts of Ginza, where I stumbled upon a standing soba shop that was open 24 hours. I ordered a "Mini Tempura Rice Bowl Set" for 660 yen from the ticket machine and paid with my Suica card. I requested cold zaru soba. The soba was pre-cooked, but the broth had a strong dashi flavor and was quite delicious. The broth was a bit sweet. The tempura rice bowl had crispy tempura with a sweet sauce similar to the soba broth, and it was tasty. I enjoyed the tempura rice bowl, but looking back, I regret not just sticking with plain soba if I was having a late-night meal after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on a weekday morning around 7 o'clock, submitted the meal ticket and was served right away. The quick service was much appreciated. The dipping sauce was light yet flavorful with a rich broth, very delicious. The tempura of spring chrysanthemum was ordinary but tasty. I was surprised to find a standing soba shop in such a prime location in Ginza, and also surprised by the large number of customers even in the morning. The deliciousness of standing soba in Ginza's prime location is truly infinite.

Upon entering the store, there are two ticket machines on the right. There was an English menu at the entrance, probably due to the increase in foreign visitors to Ginza. I purchased my meal at the ticket machine and handed the ticket to the staff. I ordered the Mini Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl Set and a Soft-Boiled Egg. The service and conversation felt a bit disjointed. Water is self-service, served in paper cups for cleanliness. The cold water with small ice cubes was delicious. There are 4 counter seats in the back and a standing counter in the front. I chose a counter seat as there were no other customers. The counter area seemed a bit messy, so it might be a good idea to wipe the table before sitting down. I was called to pick up my order in a few minutes, but the soft-boiled egg I ordered was missing. They seem to take pride in their broth, which is free of chemical seasonings, coloring, and sweeteners. They also use a special soy sauce.

I visited early Tuesday morning and had the "Yamakake Soba" and "Ebi Tendon Set (Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl + Soba)" The noodles had a light scent of buckwheat and the flavor was a bit lacking, but the dipping sauce was tasty with a strong dashi flavor. Given their early morning to late night hours, I think this taste deserves a passing grade.

The day after eating a lot, I had a light lunch at a standing soba shop in Ginza while taking a walk. I ordered the "Special Yoshisoba" for ¥620, as tempura is too heavy. The special toppings were seaweed, tenkasu, and onsen tamago. The slightly chewy texture might be due to the high amount of soba flour used? The fact that the wasabi provided was not powdered was a plus.

Yoshi Soba is located closer to Higashi-Ginza Station than Yurakucho and Ginza. I visited for the first time due to errands nearby. There were already 2-3 customers ahead of me. It is a standing soba shop, but there are also seats available for customers who want to sit. I went back to the ticket vending machine at the storefront and ordered the "Chikuwa Tempura Soba (530 yen tax included)" today. I handed the ticket to the male staff in the kitchen and waited for my order. Then I carried it to my seat myself. I started by tasting the broth. It was a delicious soba broth with a refined taste, not too strong or overly simmered. The soba noodles were cooked a bit softer, but had a good texture. I chose chikuwa tempura, which had a nice chewy texture and was tasty. I think it's a good choice when you want a quick and satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on 3/26 in 2023. Had tempura soba for 490 yen using Suica payment. Had some time so decided to have breakfast in Ginza. Went to this place across from Kyoraku where I went recently. A rare spot in Ginza where you can have morning soba. Entered at 7:45. Only one customer before me, and 6 after. The interior is new and clean. There are 2 ticket machines on the right side of the entrance, maybe more than needed for the size of the place? Well, that's none of my business. Got my ticket, secured a seat, poured water into a paper cup, and just as I finished, they called out "tempura soba customer~" Perfect timing. Took a sip of the slightly sweet and gentle broth. It says they don't use any artificial seasonings. They use locally brewed soy sauce from Kuwana City, and it's also labeled as a "supporting shop of Mie". The slightly thick soba noodles are a bit chewy. The tempura, already soaked in the broth, was soft and delicious! This is how it should be done (^^)

At 6:00 am, I passed through the Shin-Tomicho ticket gate and finally arrived at a 24-hour standing soba shop in Ginza. As expected of Ginza, even the standing soba shop has a sense of elegance. I ordered a set of seiro and kakiage-don. However, what came out was just plain soba? Maybe they made it warm for me because it was a cold morning? Anyway, I'll eat it. It was average, with a normal flavor and typical standing soba quality. The kakiage-don's kakiage looked lonely, so I left half of it and left the shop. My stomach is now warm.

I visited the restaurant before 9:00 a.m. It is a standing restaurant with 4 chairs and 8 standing seats. The interior is bright and gives off a luxurious vibe for a standing restaurant. There are usually about 4 people eating at all times. I purchased a ticket for kitsune and tanuki udon/soba at the ticket machine for 430 yen. I chose kitsune soba. I was called up quickly. The soba noodles were slightly thin. It's understandable for a standing restaurant, but I didn't notice much aroma compared to other places. The broth was average and didn't leave a strong impression. It's convenient that the restaurant is open 24 hours in Ginza, where nearby standing restaurants are closed on weekends.

Platto, for today's light dinner, I took a stroll in Ginza. When you exit the central ticket gate of JR Yurakucho Station, you will see the Transport Building on your left. Exit the ticket gate and continue straight ahead with the Transport Building on your left. Cross the signal at Ginza Nishi 2-chome on Ginza Marronnier Street, then cross the signal at Ginza 2-chome on Chuo Street, continue straight ahead for a while, pass the third intersection, and a little further on your right, you will find the "Yoshisoba Ginza Honten" that I visited today. I entered the restaurant at 5:15 PM on a weekday. Upon entering the restaurant, I looked around and there were no other customers. I checked the menu on the left side of the two ticket vending machines on the right. The menu includes sets such as soba/udon (hot/cold) with a mini shrimp tempura donburi set for 720 yen, a mini pork shabu donburi set for 720 yen, a mini kaki-toro donburi set for 720 yen, and a mini kaki-age donburi set for 620 yen. They also offer soba/udon (hot/cold) dishes such as kaki-age for 490 yen, tempura soba for 570 yen, shrimp tempura soba for 550 yen, and more. I decided to order the "kaki-age soba" and requested hot soba. After a short wait, the "kaki-age soba (hot)" was served. The dish consisted of kaki-age tempura and chopped green onions. The soba soup was clear and refreshing, made with a blend of soy sauce from Kuwana, Mie Prefecture, and dashi stock from bonito and konbu. The soba noodles were medium thickness, firm, and had a good texture. The kaki-age tempura added a delicious flavor to the soba. The tempura consisted of onions, carrots, and green onions. Although the tempura had soaked up some of the soup, it was still tasty. I finished the meal by slurping the soba noodles and drinking up the soup. I enjoyed the "kaki-age soba" at Yoshisoba Ginza Honten, where the soba soup was particularly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is also a standing eating restaurant near WINS Ginza. It's convenient to stop by during breaks between meetings on weekdays, or between betting on weekends. On this day, I had the Spring Chrysanthemum Tempura Soba (570 yen) for breakfast. Unfortunately, the signature dish of raft-shaped burdock tempura is no longer available, and the extra green onions cost an additional 50 yen, most likely due to rising ingredient costs.

I visited at 6:50 on a regular day. I submitted my food ticket and received my order in just 1 minute. It was fast and convenient. Before the tempura soaked up the sauce, the flavor of the broth was refreshing. As the tempura oil gradually mixed into the sauce, I could taste the change in flavor. Before I knew it, I had finished the entire bowl, slurping up every last drop of the sauce. Once again, I was lucky to enjoy delicious soba noodles today.

I visited the Ginza main store for the first time. Looking at the menu on the vending machine, the combinations were quite simple. One item that stood out was the limited-time "Spicy Meat Soba (cold)!" It is a meat soba finished with a blend of red and green chili peppers, making it extremely spicy. I ordered this with tempura topping. The expectation was something like a Minoya-inspired dish, but what I got was a cold meat soba with a bit of chili sauce on top. It might have looked a bit sad without the tempura. I mixed it well and the spiciness was not as extreme as expected, just a bit of heat. The meat was like the warmed-up beef bowl topping. The seaweed topping was ordinary. The noodles were boiled type, so they were a bit soft, which was disappointing. The tempura was not the crispy type I expected, but it melted nicely in the broth. Overall, it was a decent quality dish. Since the broth is their specialty, maybe choosing the hot broth would have been better?

Visited at 7:05 on a weekday. Unfortunately, the spring chrysanthemum soba was sold out. I decided to go with the regular soba instead. It was served in 2-3 minutes. While the soba with tempura is always delicious, I enjoyed the plain soba this time as it allowed me to directly taste the flavor of the broth. It was a lucky discovery for me.
