孤高のグルメ☆
In the midst of this overcast weather, having lunch at a high-rise restaurant with a good view... I'm sure they reserved it in advance thinking it would be nice. It's okay, I appreciate the thought, and that alone makes me happy (>_<)! So, following my visit to "Cezan" in Kyobashi the other day, I visited another restaurant in the Four Seasons group, "Pigneto/PIGNETO". The name "Pigneto/PIGNETO" comes from a small town in the southeast of Rome. So, you can enjoy Italian cuisine with a Roman influence at this restaurant. That's what the name suggests, at least. There's actually something I want to say about the name, but most of you probably aren't interested, so I'll save it for the end. The Super El Niño, huh? It's been 40 years since the last El Niño following La Niña. This year seems to be hot with a lot of rain. Well, I'd choose the suffering of having too much water over not having enough, but still. Regardless of those words, it's good to know about the term "line-shaped precipitation band". I feel like you can't have an intellectually stimulating conversation with someone who doesn't know about that term or phenomenon. Otemachi One Avenue, where this restaurant is located, opened in May 2020, and it remains popular even after the completion of Yaesu Midtown. It stands at a precise height of 200 meters (the same as Otemachi Tower)! The view from this height overlooking the western side of the Imperial Palace is world-class. In earthquake-prone Japan, there are various restrictions, but modern high-rise buildings need to be at least 200 meters tall for a satisfying exterior and view. So, the newly opened Tokyo Midtown Yaesu (240 meters) and Tokyo Kabukicho Tower (225 meters) are impressive. In one of my favorite cities, London, there are beautifully designed buildings ranging from 200 to 300 meters tall that stand out in the quaint low-rise cityscape. In Hong Kong, where the same number of tall buildings with heights ranging from 260 to 480 meters are double that of Japan, it's just unbearable. The Burj Khalifa (Dubai) stands at 828 meters, which is four times the height of Otemachi One Avenue. I wonder what the foundation construction on the desert looks like, the modern Tower of Babel is just laughable. However, Japan is unrivaled when it comes to interior design and construction, so let's start from here, Japan! The Bar, French restaurant, and Italian restaurant on the 40th floor of Otemachi One Avenue, as well as the tea lounge, are all meticulously designed with a luxurious touch, so I use them regularly, mainly to guide tourists visiting Tokyo. So, I visited this Italian restaurant, "Pigneto," which is located on the 40th floor of Otemachi, after taking the elevator, turning left through the café lounge space. The café "The Lounge," near the entrance of Otemachi "The Lounge," is popular for its parfait and afternoon tea sets. However, if you're not particular about those, the Italian restaurant and café lounge both operate on a 2-hour reservation system, but if you can secure a good seat, the Italian restaurant offers better views and a more comfortable atmosphere. I love places like this, and if you want to satisfy a loved one, it's recommended to have a meal here and reserve "The Lounge" next door in advance, so you can spend a total of 4 hours there. The design sofa in the lounge near the entrance of Otemachi "The Lounge," with leather covering the entire back, creating a relaxed and natural drape, is my favorite Poltrona Frau's Archibald, the world's best and highest-quality furniture. However, the furniture in the window-side lounge, while standard for a luxury hotel, is not as impressive, and the very thick pillars at key points are visually distracting and feel a bit forced. Well, there are various considerations to take into account, but if you're an adult woman who's not particular about afternoon tea sets, it's recommended to relax in the window-side seats of this Italian restaurant. Being in Tokyo, the view of the western side from the Imperial Palace never gets old (о´∀`о). The 2-hour reservation from 12:00 to 16:30 is calculated on a 2-hour basis, but especially after 14:00, there are fewer people, so you can relax. It's also nice to have a lively time with four people ===========
