I went to for bal meat, located near Ueno Station, a place where you can enjoy yourself going towards the zoo, art museum, or Ameyoko from JR Ueno Station. The entrance was decorated with cute Halloween jack-o'-lanterns. We were seated at a large table, with chairs placed side by side rather than facing each other. We opted for the course menu with all-you-can-drink option, which included 2 hours of drinks including draft beer and an additional ¥500 for wine. The wine included in the all-you-can-drink option was a sparkling wine, and there were also 10 wine cocktails available. The sparkling wine was delicious and refreshing. The appetizers were served individually and were impressive. The Italian dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. The pizza wood plate with cheese, nuts, and pink peppercorns was a highlight. The seafood sauté with white wine flavor and the black beef and rib roast combination were outstanding. The pasta with black beef carbonara was also delicious. We enjoyed the white wine pairing with the pasta. The pineapple gelato for dessert was refreshing and delightful. The menu was extensive, and the wine selection was impressive. The atmosphere with movie screenings and wine bottles on display was lovely. Overall, for bal meat is a popular and fantastic restaurant in Ueno.

I used it for a farewell party. It was a 4500 yen course, but the food was delicious and I was full. The timing of the dishes coming out was just right. The staff was polite and pleasant. My friends also liked it.

The staff and customers were young and the atmosphere was lively. We each had a share of appetizers, meat dishes, and dessert, while pizzas and pasta were served on large plates. Although we were satisfied with the pizza and pasta, the variety seemed a bit lacking. With unlimited wine and draft beer, the banquet course was decent for the price.

Ordered a course menu with the option for an additional 300 yen for all-you-can-drink wine or champagne! Started with a toast with sparkling wine. - Assorted Appetizers Roast beef and persimmon salad Caprese Pickles Sea bream carpaccio Pork ham Generous portion with a lot of salad, perfect for snacking. The combination of roast beef and persimmon was excellent! - Fried Mozzarella and Prosciutto with Herb Lemon Sauce Fried mozzarella using generous amount of cheese. The skin is crispy while the cheese inside stretches. A great treat for cheese lovers. - Sautéed Shrimp, Squid, and Maitake Mushrooms Maitake mushrooms were new to me and they were crunchy and delicious. - Bacon, Mushroom, and Beef Tendon Stew Tomato Pasta A hearty pasta dish with beef tendon that was delicious! - Wagyu Beef Steak (Lamp, Harami) The main meat dishes were satisfying with a good amount of meat cooked to medium rare perfection. - Dessert: Gateau Chocolat, Cassis Sorbet Every dish was delicious and had a light seasoning, making it suitable even for those who do not drink alcohol. The portions were quite generous for two women, we ended up taking one pasta dish home. The staff was attentive and the service was excellent! Having dinner with friends in Ueno. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. It's so convenient being close to the station. I tried the black wagyu beef course with 2-hour all-you-can-drink option, and it was a great deal. The first glass of sparkling wine was deliciously chilled. The black wagyu beef and rib roast platter was amazing, each person getting their own plate, so the portions were huge. The appetizers were tasty, and the meat was tender. The pasta at the end was also excellent! I will definitely come back here when drinking in Ueno again! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great!

I visited "for bal meat" located on the first floor of a capsule hotel, just a 3-minute walk from Ueno Station Panda Bridge exit. The cozy and casual interior, along with the generous portions of dishes, make this place a delight. First, I was amazed by the assorted appetizers. The seared saury with taro salad, yellowtail carpaccio, fig cheese dip, mustard-marinated chicken, and ratatouille were all delicious. The seared saury was particularly flavorful. The mushroom pizza had a crispy crust with a hint of wheat flavor and plenty of fragrant mushrooms, a perfect taste of autumn. The sautéed sea bream with leeks, white wine, and butter sauce was served with grilled vegetables, making it a satisfying dish. I paired it with white wine. The black wagyu beef assortment of inside round and harami was delicious with balsamic vinegar and oil. The lamb stew was presented on an amuse-bouche spoon, and the warm plates added a nice touch. A carrot salad was provided as a palate cleanser. The pasta with saury and clams was al dente and full of flavor from the fish and clam broth. The dessert included pineapple sorbet and pumpkin and white chocolate cake. Finally, I enjoyed a cup of coffee. Overall, the portions and value were excellent at this establishment.

The meal also came with a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option including draft beer. The dishes were made with fresh ingredients like vegetables, seafood, meat, chestnuts, pumpkin, and Pacific saury, incorporating the flavors of autumn. Each dish was carefully prepared and truly delicious. The staff were very considerate, asking about the children's food preferences and serving them appropriate portions. Black-haired wagyu beef course with all-you-can-drink for a girls' night out. The appetizers were served separately and in generous portions, which was delightful! The fact that it was all-you-can-drink was great, and being able to have coffee at the end was a nice touch! The pizza with thin crispy crust was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the variety of dishes available! The steaks made the two of us girls sparkle with joy. The meat was so tasty! The interior of the restaurant was lovely, with many couples and groups of women. It was a great restaurant! I would love to go back again.

Ueno is a place I often go to, and I discovered a new delicious restaurant again. The restaurant is located on the first floor of Capsule Hotel Nordic. I went there for dinner on this day, and the sign and decorations at the entrance of the restaurant were sparkling and eye-catching, making it easy to find. - Assorted appetizers: Carpaccio of red snapper, fig cheese dip, scallops mixed with tomato sauce, all delicious and perfect with wine. - Duck ham and Parmesan green salad: Tender duck ham with colorful vegetables, balsamic vinegar dressing and cheese, very tasty. - Today's pizza: Unusual pizza with whitebait and bitter gourd. The pizza crust was crispy, perfect for snacking with alcohol. Even though I'm not a fan of bitterness, I enjoyed it because the bitterness of bitter gourd was mellowed by cheese and tomato sauce. - Seafood sautéed in white wine flavor: A dish where you can taste the umami of shrimp and mushrooms. The shrimp can be eaten whole from head to tail, very tender and luxurious. - Assorted black beef and rib roast: Olive oil + balsamic vinegar, steak sauce. The meat was nicely grilled and delicious with the sauce. - Today's pasta: Choose between meat or fish, I chose fish - sautéed sablefish and okra, purple daikon in peperoncino. A pasta combination I had never tried before, but it was beautiful and delicious. - Today's gelato: Vanilla ice cream with cassis sauce, plum compote. Sweet and delicious. All the dishes were delicious, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere with good Western music playing in the background. There were quite a few customers, so I realized it's a popular place. The staff explained each dish well and showed great attention to detail. They also had takeout menus available. If you often visit the Ueno area, be sure to check it out.

After work, I went to Ueno for a dinner gathering with lots of meat. The appetizer platter and duck ham with Parmesan green salad were delicious. The pizza of the day was a mushroom pizza with various types of mushrooms like shiitake and enoki, which made me happy. The assorted plate of black wagyu beef and rib roast meat was amazing. The course meal at Forbal Meat near Ueno Station was too voluminous! I thought it was for sharing, but each person got their own dish!! This shop, located a 2-3 minute walk from Ueno Station, is tucked away on a side street. Upon entering, the spacious interior was quite crowded. The main attraction for the day was the "T-bone steak"! I had already decided to eat this, so I ordered a platter of 3 appetizers and the T-bone steak. There are about 10 different appetizers to choose from, which is quite nice. You can select your favorite items, which adds a bit of excitement to the meal! I chose 3 appetizers, but you can add more if you want. If there were no steak, I would have wanted to eat more appetizers. The appetizers were more substantial than I had expected, and each one was satisfying. The "T-bone steak" arrived - it was delicious! Both the sirloin and fillet were tasty, but personally, I preferred the sirloin. We devoured it all in no time. The truffle oil added a nice touch, especially when paired with the potatoes. The combination of meat, potatoes, and oil made the dish even more delicious.

On a regular weekday at around 13:15, I was immediately seated. I ordered the lunch menu item, the Beef Fillet Steak for ¥1,300. The menu indicated that this item was a loss leader, and I can see why - the steak was over 200g and seemed to have a thin profit margin. The rare-cooked steak was tender, with no strong flavors, just delicious meat. It came with a generous portion of carrot coleslaw and chunky potatoes, both of which were also tasty. This steak lunch seems to offer great value for money.

I dropped by for lunch. The location is a little ways down the second alley on the Showa-dori side from the Asakusa exit of JR Ueno Station, heading towards Uguisudani. During lunchtime, you can also enter from the side street next to the railway tracks, from the sister store called HAKO. Both places have signs, so they're easy to find. The interior has about 50 seats, with a mix of counter and table seating, and has a woody feel that suits the main focus on meat dishes. It's 12:40, and there are a few groups scattered around, but it's not crowded. This time, I tried the "Stewed Hamburg Steak." I had an iced coffee from the drink bar while waiting, and it arrived in about 5 minutes. The stewed Hamburg steak comes with just rice and the hamburger itself, with no side dishes. Vegetables seem to be an optional extra. So, it looks a bit plain. In terms of taste, it's quite delicious. The sauce is rich but refreshing, and the meat is good quality. You can opt for a large serving of rice, but the regular portion is already quite filling. After the meal, I leisurely enjoyed another iced coffee from the drink bar. The portion size was satisfying, and it cost 800 yen. It's a bit disappointing that there are no side dishes, even if salad is available as an add-on. With the drink bar, you can relax, but in terms of value for money, it's average. Overall, I had a leisurely meal, and I'd like to come back next time to try the steak.

I used to come to this place at night when it was a different shop, but now I always come for lunch at the current shop. On this day, I had the "Teppanyaki Steak Lunch". The meat was cut into easy-to-eat pieces and was very delicious. Next time, I will try coming at night.

The 90-minute all-you-can-drink for 1500 yen was great. I didn't know there was a drink all-you-can that includes Porel (Premier Malt) (lol). The Raclette cheese had a nice stringy texture, especially the sausages had a good bite to them. We ordered a half-size appetizer platter, which was just right for two people. The grilled Caesar salad had a bit too much charred flavor, which might not be to everyone's liking. What was quietly pleasing was that you could get seconds of the fried pasta appetizer! I thought this could be useful for a second round as well. Thank you for the meal.
