I visited around 11 am on a weekday and there were only 2 seats left, luckily. I wanted to taste the noodles so I ordered the oil noodles. The oil noodles cost 900 yen. The chewy noodles are delicious. The noodles are coated with a thick sauce, making me crave a beer, haha. The thin slices of Iwachu pork char siu are also tasty. As I continued eating, the richness of the flavor made me thirsty, so I thought a slightly lighter flavor might suit me better.

This is my third time at this restaurant. I don't actually like it that much, but it's kind of a special ramen shop. The noodles are thick and chewy with a unique taste. Today, I had oil soba and truffle something egg rice instead of ramen. I'm pretty full now. I've tried all the menu items, so I might not come back for a while.

A ramen shop in Hamamatsucho. I was able to enter without waiting in line. The interior has only a counter. Cash voucher system. I ordered the special oil ramen (1,300 yen). The noodles were chewy like udon. The tender chashu was delicious. The boiled egg had a red yolk. Comes with Chinese soup.

Visited during a national holiday at lunchtime. No waiting in line. I debated between the popular oil soba and soy sauce ramen, but this time I ordered soy sauce ramen for 950 yen, along with an egg over rice for an additional 50 yen. The soup was a light soba broth style. The chashu was on the lean side, but still delicious. The noodles were thick and chewy, similar to knife-cut noodles, and very tasty. The service egg over rice, a specialty here, was made with rich, high-quality eggs and was exquisite. I want to try the oil soba next time.

The noodles were chewy and exactly to my liking. The seasoned egg was not too firm or too soft, just right. The wontons had a slightly subtle taste, but overall were delicious. The chashu was a bit different from my preference, but the ramen was almost perfect with no complaints. Next time, I want to try the dipping noodles.

It was around 1 pm on Saturday when I entered. By 1:30 pm, the place was full. I ordered the oil soba (1,300 yen) and the chashu egg rice bowl (200 yen). The thick noodles were chewy like Ise udon! It's almost like ramen...? It seems like people's preferences may differ. Personally, I thought it was delicious, but I'm not sure if I would come back again.

Arrived at the restaurant after 1 pm. Due to the rain, I entered without lining up. Ordered the special oil soba for 1300 yen. Also ordered the chashu for 350 yen. The oil soba and soup arrived! When I lifted the noodles from the bottom, I was surprised!? The noodles were too thick. The extremely thick noodles provide a chewing enjoyment rather than a slurping enjoyment. The chewiness level was the highest I've ever experienced! The sauce had a spicy and strong junky flavor. The strong soy sauce coated the noodles well. The toppings included two types of chashu - one with a moist texture. The menma was crunchy, not soggy. The flavored egg was rich and moist. I think I would prefer to have the wonton in a soy sauce ramen! I didn't feel that the oil soba paired well with it. Lastly, I poured the soup over the noodles to enjoy it like ramen. This restaurant offers the experience of tasting noodles like you've never seen before.

Flavor: The ramen with chewy noodles has a gentle taste. I want to try the dipping noodles next. The maximum egg over rice is delicious. I want to eat it every day. Pouring a little soup over the egg over rice... it's too delicious! I want some bonito flakes. The cost performance of the 50 yen egg over rice is destructive. Features: Soy sauce ramen 1,300 yen, additional flavored egg 150 yen, egg over rice 50 yen, total 1,500 yen. The atmosphere is like a ramen shop. Focus on the food.

I visited the restaurant at 2:00 pm on a regular day and was able to enter without waiting in line, as there were 5 customers before me and 1 customer after me. The restaurant seemed a bit old, with a cleanliness rating of about 2 stars. The door was left open, making it quite humid inside. There were cups on the counter for self-service water, but they were placed in a position where soup could easily splash on them, which wasn't very appealing. I ordered the special oil ramen for 1300 yen and it was served relatively quickly, along with a small bowl of soup. I had heard that the noodles were a special feature, so I was expecting chewy noodles similar to knife-cut noodles, but they turned out to be fluffy like Ise udon. Personally, I prefer ramen with chewier noodles. The noodles were quite thick, filling my mouth with each bite, and I had to chew them thoroughly before swallowing. The sauce had a hint of sweetness in the soy sauce base. I got a bit bored halfway through, so I added some chili oil and vinegar to change up the flavor, which made it more enjoyable. The toppings, such as the tender chashu, flavorful egg, and bamboo shoots, were all very delicious. I overheard the person next to me praising the soy sauce ramen, so if I have the chance to go back, I would like to try that next time.

This is my first visit. I originally wanted to eat standard ramen, but because it's hot, I had the special dipping ramen (soy sauce). The noodles are thick and curly, smooth but with a good firmness. The noodle bowl comes with a half-boiled seasoned egg. On a separate plate, there's low-temperature cooked chashu pork and bamboo shoots. The soup also has 2 wontons. The seasoned egg has a surprisingly dark yolk. The chashu pork is lightly flavored. The wontons have a generous amount of filling and are delicious. The soup, however, was a bit light for a dipping ramen. I will come back to try the standard ramen when it cools down.

This is a shop in Tokyo that is famous for using extra thick noodles as their specialty. I ordered the special Abura Soba for 1300 yen, which comes with chashu, egg over rice, and truffle-flavored. Many shops in Tokyo offer homemade noodles with a chewy texture, and Menkura is no exception, using Mochihime noodles. The noodles in the Abura Soba were amazing, with a chewy and fluffy texture that had a strong wheat aroma. The thick noodles had a satisfying bite to them, and they paired perfectly with the rich soy sauce-based broth. The chashu made from Iwanaka pork was moist and juicy, packed with umami flavor. The marinated egg was also delicious, with a rich yolk that complemented the savory broth. The Wonton had a rich flavor that was irresistible. Overall, everything matched my personal preferences perfectly. The Egg Over Rice featured plenty of rare chashu, topped with a generous amount of egg and a rich sauce, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

Located in Kitashinagawa, "Chuka Soba Wau TOKYO" is the second brand of a popular ramen shop that has won awards such as the TRY Ramen Grand Prix and the Tabelog Top 100. The broth features a sweet soy sauce base with a spicy kick from chili peppers, creating a bold and flavorful taste. The thick and chewy noodles made with "mochi wheat" provide a bouncy texture reminiscent of udon. The noodles hold their own against the rich broth, making it a dish that truly showcases the noodles as the star. Toppings like moist thinly sliced rare chashu and perfectly cooked hanjuku (semi-soft) ganguro egg add a simple yet sophisticated deliciousness to the bowl.

I visited on a Friday night and ordered the popular oil soba for 900 yen (plus 100 yen for extra serving). It wasn't too crowded. The noodles were chewy and to my liking. The sauce had a spicy kick and a bold soy sauce flavor. I also detected a unique truffle-like taste, but I'm not sure what it was. The combination of chewy noodles and the unique flavor was delicious, but towards the end, the intensity of the flavor made it a bit overwhelming. It might be just right to order a regular serving size. Adding vinegar towards the end worked well with the dish.

Custom ordered oil soba for ¥1300. The main feature of this ramen is the thickness of the noodles, even thicker than udon noodles! The noodles have a chewy and incredibly bouncy texture. The flavor is on the rich side, with a unique taste that may divide preferences. The oil soba comes with soup on the side. It was not crowded around 2 pm on weekdays, but be aware that there may be lines at certain times, so be cautious!

I received a special soy sauce at MENkurai in the Hamamatsucho area! The noodles had a chewy texture similar to Ise Udon, making it hard to tell if it's udon or ramen. The smoked chashu and seasoned egg were delicious too.

After the Bon holiday, on a Tuesday, many people are still on vacation, so the line is short. At 12:15, there were 5 people waiting outside, but they were quickly seated at 12:24. Once you reach the front, you buy a meal ticket at the entrance, wait a bit, and then get seated. I ordered a special soy sauce egg rice bowl with noodles, which were indeed as described in other reviews - chewy and curly thick noodles, a trend of high water content noodles in Kawasaki City. The noodles were not as chewy as expected but had a soft texture. The soup, toppings, and egg rice bowl were all delicious. By the time I left at 12:47, there was no more line.

I arrived at the restaurant at 6:15 pm on a weekday, with a focus on noodles and no artificial seasonings. The place was packed, and I was the only one waiting. I ordered the Special Soy Sauce Ramen for ¥1300 and added a side of TKG rice for ¥50. The inside of the restaurant was unusually hot, making me sweat like I was in a sauna. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was finally seated at a relatively cooler spot. The soup of the ramen had a sharp and tangy flavor, with a light yet heavy broth that was dominated by chicken with support from bonito. The noodles were thick, almost resembling udon, which I personally didn't enjoy. The toppings like chashu and menma were delicious, but the overall balance of the dish felt off due to the heavy components. The TKG rice with the flavorful egg was a standout and had excellent value at only 50 yen. This ramen might be loved by those who enjoy this style, but it wasn't to my taste. Overall, the quality is high, but it just didn't suit me.

I used to like thin noodles, but recently I've come to enjoy chewy noodles. On my first visit, I ordered the special soy sauce ramen. The special version comes with extra toppings like seasoned egg, wonton, and chashu, which seemed like a good deal to me. I opted for the special. The noodles were chewy and delicious. The soup was tasty at first, but towards the end, the chashu was a bit too fatty for my liking. It was just okay for me. I enjoyed the noodles, so I thought I might try the oil noodles next time if I have the chance.
