I used to come to this shop often during my early days at a cash-strapped company, as it has been around for a long time. I visited after a long time and found that the menu is limited, but the atmosphere of the shop is nice and you can stay for a while. I was surprised to see that they have switched to a style where you order using a remote control.

After leaving "Sakana to Ya," I went to a okonomiyaki restaurant that caught my eye. It was the second stop, but since I didn't eat much at the previous place, I ordered a lot and ate to my heart's content. I had pork okonomiyaki, corn butter, yam teppanyaki, Akashiyaki, chicken teriyaki, omu-soba, and yakisoba. After eating the omu-soba, I indulged in the yakisoba. Everything was delicious!

The 10th installment of the izakaya tour near the workplace is this okonomiyaki restaurant. The restaurant is located in a corner of the shopping street, with a large lantern as a landmark. I arrived at 5:30 PM, the first customer of the evening. There are counter seats around the kitchen, table seats, and tatami seats at the back. Orders are placed using the trendy touch panel system, which seems to have become popular even in small restaurants due to the pandemic. I started with a toast with a Premium Malt beer. The orders were as follows, all prices including tax:
- Beef intestines stew: 891 yen
- Spicy stir-fried pork and cabbage: 825 yen
- Okonomiyaki mix regular: 1,078 yen
- Assorted mushrooms: 594 yen
- Sausage: 946 yen
- Garlic (with special sauce): 550 yen
- Special sauce cold tofu: 498 yen
For drinks:
- Premium Malt beer: 649 yen
- Whiskey highball mega jug: 895 yen
- Lemon sour at a specialty bar: 728 yen
The beef intestines stew was spicy. The assorted mushrooms included shiitake, enoki, and bunashimeji mushrooms seasoned with butter for a delicious flavor. Grilling the sausage and garlic together and dipping them in the special sauce made them tasty. A colleague made the okonomiyaki following the grilling instructions. Although it wasn't visually impressive, it was hot and reasonably tasty. While the ingredients may not be top-notch, the joy of teppanyaki lies in being able to cook and season at your own pace. It took a while for the dish to be ready, so I ended up having multiple refills of alcohol, which made the bill a bit higher. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like eating Akashiyaki, so I visited this place. I ordered Akashiyaki, mini-size pork okonomiyaki, mini-size yakisoba, and motsu-ni. You have to cook the Akashiyaki yourself. It gets firm quickly, so it's a bit difficult... but that's also part of the fun. I'm happy that they offer mini-size okonomiyaki and yakisoba. You can try various types. However, we couldn't eat that much in the end, and it cost a little over 4,000 yen for two people. I feel a bit guilty. Thank you for the meal.

・We had Pork, Eggplant, and Asparagus Miso Stir-fry (780 yen), Okonomiyaki Tanukiya Base (600 yen), Pork Modern Okonomiyaki Regular Size (930 yen), 2 Bottled Beers (650 yen each), and Ramune (300 yen).
・The total cost for two people was approximately 4,400 yen (about 2,200 yen per person).
・Located just a 1-minute walk from Ikejiri Ohashi Station, "Tanukiya" offers a variety of dishes including okonomiyaki, izakaya menus, and teppanyaki.
・You can enjoy cooking your own okonomiyaki to your liking.
・The Pork and Asparagus Miso Stir-fry was a delicious appetizer served on a plate before the okonomiyaki.
・The restaurant is now completely non-smoking, making it accessible to those who dislike smoking (although it may be tough for smokers).
・There are few okonomiyaki restaurants around Ikejiri Ohashi, so it's a convenient spot to have one. Thank you for the meal. #Japan #JapaneseFood #Okonomiyaki #Akashiyaki #ModernYaki #Tanukiya #IkejiriOhashi #IkejiriOhashiDinner #Dinner #IkejiriOhashiGourmet #Teppanyaki

I visited the restaurant to buy dinner. It is located in the middle of the Ikejiri Ohashi Station front shopping street. It is always a popular okonomiyaki izakaya. This time, I enjoyed the mixed okonomiyaki. I would like to visit again.

This is a family-friendly restaurant. While teppanyaki may be dangerous for small children, there are semi-private tatami rooms with children's tableware and always families dining here, so you can feel at ease bringing your kids. Today, the family next to us had a toddler of about 2 years old. However, we recently potty-trained our child, and had a little trouble with the traditional Japanese toilet, haha. We always come here to eat, and discovered that the akashiyaki is delicious. The kids seem to prefer okonomiyaki. There are two sizes available, but as a family, we ordered the regular size. We started with corn yakisoba. For drinks, we ordered two draft beers, two lemon sours, and a highball. The exterior of the restaurant is old-fashioned, but they use touch panel ordering. It was empty after 7 pm, but quickly filled up. It's Friday, after all.

- We had a bottle of beer (650 yen), a highball cocktail (900 yen), a large highball cocktail (800 yen), mixed okonomiyaki (regular size) (950 yen), base okonomiyaki with toppings (600 yen), TP corn (80 yen), pork kimchi (730 yen), and seafood omelette (730 yen). We finished with a total of around 5500 yen for two people (about 2800 yen per person).
- The restaurant is a teppanyaki place located 2-3 minutes walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station. The okonomiyaki had a unique and delicious flavor with a hint of dashi.
- What we had:
* Base okonomiyaki with toppings (600 yen) and TP corn (80 yen): The okonomiyaki had a flavorful dashi taste that set it apart from the usual ones. It was a taste that could become addictive.
* Mixed okonomiyaki (regular size) (950 yen): Similar to the base okonomiyaki but with various toppings. It was also very tasty.
* Pork kimchi (730 yen): The pork kimchi had just the right amount of spiciness. It was delicious on its own and even better with a generous amount of mayonnaise on top.
* Seafood omelette (730 yen): A luxurious omelette with plenty of seafood inside. It was a great dish to enjoy with drinks.
- Orders were taken using an iPad. Despite the old-fashioned atmosphere of the restaurant, it had a modern system in place, which was a nice contrast. Each table had a flat teppan for cooking and a takoyaki maker. Condiments and sauces were also provided at each table, giving a sense of comfort and convenience.
- Overall, it was a traditional okonomiyaki restaurant that you would want to visit regularly. Thank you for the meal.

Located at Ikejiri Ohashi, this okonomiyaki restaurant has table seating, tatami seating, and counter seating, making it suitable for individuals or groups. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional okonomiyaki restaurant with a Showa era vibe. Please note that they do not serve monjayaki here. We started off by ordering a Spanish wine called "Okonomiyaki Wine," which is said to be specially optimized for okonomiyaki. It was a unique wine that paired well with the dish. For food, we had tuna salad, half-size pork yakisoba, regular-size pork okonomiyaki, and sausages. The yakisoba and okonomiyaki come in half and regular sizes, which is great for those who want to try a variety of dishes. The okonomiyaki was delicious, cooked to perfection, and had a soft and fluffy texture. The wine complemented the food well, making for a tasty and cozy dining experience at this okonomiyaki restaurant!

In this shopping street, there are some old shops with counters, making it easy for solo diners to enter. Despite not being a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, they highly recommend the "Otakufuku sauce" regular size for 780 yen. It is served on a small iron plate. Mayonnaise is optional and they only accept cash payments.

In this area, surprisingly there aren't many okonomiyaki restaurants. So when you want to eat okonomiyaki, this is pretty much your only choice. The prices for all the menu items are generally on the higher side. The taste is decent. They also have okonomiyaki grills at each table, so you can cook your own. I wish they had the fluffy okonomiyaki that a pro would make. So in terms of cost performance, it's not great. But the biggest issue is that the restaurant looks really old. The ventilation system is particularly bad. It feels like the exhaust isn't working properly, so the inside of the restaurant is smoky and it stings your eyes! Your clothes end up smelling too. The restroom is also traditional Japanese style. If you want to experience a Showa era nostalgia vibe, then this place is recommended.

It's a 3-minute walk from Ikejiri Ohashi Bridge. Located on a street with various shops. The atmosphere inside is nostalgic, allowing you to leisurely cook your own Akashiyaki while relaxing. The prices are reasonable, making it a perfect place to visit with friends.

At Ichijirou Ohashi, I randomly found a place to eat because the restaurant my friend wanted to go to was busy. I ended up at Takoyaki, a local okonomiyaki restaurant in the shopping street. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant with TVs, sunken tables, and teppan grills. I started with cold tofu and grilled squid for appetizers, then had simmered tripe. I also tried Akashiyaki, which was delicious, but a bit difficult to eat because it was sticky. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at local eateries in the city. Love it!

Okajiri Ohashi Station front shopping street Okonomiyaki restaurant. I didn't expect customers to cook Akashiyaki, surprising for someone from Osaka, 15 pieces for 750 yen. Yakisoba is cooked and served. Two types of makgeolli bottles for 2,000 yen. Open until 1am on weekends. With 6 people, around 12,000 yen for the second party.
