On May 4, 2023 (Thursday holiday), we visited Ruth's Chris Steak House in Toranomon. We ordered Ruth's Chop Salad, Ribeye 12oz, Petite Filet 6oz x2, Ruth's Tenderloin Roll Half, Creamed Spinach, Beer, Sparkling Wine, Pinot Noir, Dessert, and Coffee x4, totaling 39,414 yen including tax. The restaurant was founded in 1965 in New Orleans by Ruth Fertel, who purchased Chris Steak House and renamed it Ruth's Chris Steak House in 1976 due to a fire. We enjoyed a delicious meal with great service, including the signature Chop Salad, perfectly cooked Ribeye, and a surprise dessert plate for a birthday celebration. It was a luxurious and memorable dining experience that we hope to repeat in the future.

This is my first time at Ruth's Chris in Japan. I went there with the intention of having a burger for lunch, but ended up wanting steak after all, so I shared a burger and a steak. The French fries that came with the burger were plentiful, so for a moment I regretted not choosing mashed potatoes, but in the end, everything was delicious so I finished it all. Thank you for the meal.

When I had Ruth's Chris filet steak for the first time, I was so impressed... I was filled with emotion as I enjoyed my lunch. This was my first time visiting the Tokyo location. The interior was very American-style. Simple and calming. I ordered the hamburger lunch set. It came with a huge portion of French fries. Very American. The burger, salad, and minestrone soup were all delicious.

Ruth's Chris. A very famous high-end steakhouse in the United States. It is more well-known nationwide than Wolfgang's, for example. And also places like Morton's and BLT Steak. Perhaps the most famous (in my personal opinion). I've had their lunch steak a few times before, but today I came to quickly have a hamburger. The lunch set is priced at just over 4,000 yen, which is quite expensive. I visited a little after 12 pm and the restaurant was half full. It mostly had a business-like atmosphere from the nearby area. For the salad and soup choice, I went with the lunch salad and a hamburger with cheddar cheese cooked medium rare. Well, the service was good, and the atmosphere was nice, but how about the hamburger itself? It seemed a bit overcooked for medium rare, and the buns weren't warmed enough, so it lacked that fresh-off-the-grill hot hamburger feeling. I think it's best to stick with steak when dining at a steakhouse. Thank you for the meal.

Purpose: Celebration dinner Budget: 20,000 yen Impression: American Steak is my personal favorite! My wife and I visited Ruth's Chris Steak House for a celebratory dinner. While I have been to their stores in Hawaii, this was my first visit to one in Japan. As soon as we walked in, the smell of good meat filled the air, making us instantly hungry. The other customers seemed to be families and wealthy-looking people, adding to the upscale atmosphere of the restaurant. Feeling a bit nervous in such a fancy place, we placed our order. The soup, steak, and creamed spinach were all beyond delicious. We opted for the T-bone steak so we could enjoy both the filet and rib. Compared to Wolfgang's, I felt that the sides here were better! Although it's not a place we can visit often, we would definitely come back for special occasions like celebrations.

I used it on my wife's birthday. The dimly lit, chic interior. Still, it gets quite noisy as more customers come in. We had the steak course. We ordered the US Prime Rib Eye 12 ounces and the US Petite Filet 6 ounces to share. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is excellent. With delicious food, there's nothing to complain about.

The service was very refined. The steak was delicious. The mashed potatoes and freshly baked bread were also very tasty. We opened a bottle of wine that cost tens of thousands of yen, but it paired perfectly with the beef and was very delicious. The birthday service was also a nice touch.

I can't go to America often, so I visited Ruth's Chris for the first time in a while. As expected, the aged meat was delicious and satisfying. The plate was hot, but when it cooled down, I asked for a new plate and they brought it to me, allowing me to enjoy the steak. Thank you very much.

I don't understand why Japanese people eat tough black-haired cows when they could be eating prime beef like at Wazawa. The meat is so tough it feels like my jaw might dislocate. And why do they make the restaurant so dark, almost like a haunted house? I can't even read the menu it's so dark. I really don't get what Americans are thinking. But looking around, all I see are Japanese people trying to act like Americans. It's a frustrating time. We want to be proud Japanese. The darkness just makes everything feel gloomy. American cuisine is all about quantity over quality. That's America for you. And as usual, the location information is wrong. It's not in Toranomon, it's in Kasumigaseki.

Dinner use only (à la carte use only) *Reservation required It seems that this restaurant is often used for business meetings, family gatherings, and couples, but it is also fine for dining alone. (When making a reservation, they always ask if it is a special occasion) I have used it about 4 times since the beginning of this year. I couldn't forget the tenderness of the meat when I first ate it, so whenever I crave steak, I think of coming here! Personally, if you want to eat delicious steak, this is the best place in Tokyo so far! The atmosphere is very calm, and there are no noisy customers, making it a comfortable place to dine. Salad... I tried the Ruth's chopped salad and the Steakhouse salad, but both salads were quite simple and I didn't feel much difference, so if you're not sure what to order, the chopped salad is good enough. The mozzarella and tomato salad was also similar. Meat... I compared the filet and the domestic wagyu filet, and the filet at Ruth's Chris was more delicious. Since then, I have been ordering the petite filet. I recommend medium rare for the doneness. The lamb here was also delicious, with no gamey taste. I thought medium rare was the best doneness for it too. If it's not cooked enough, they can cook it more for you, so it's fun to order rare and enjoy the difference! The spinach side dish is a must-have! I like it either creamed or gratin style. The onion rings are also very delicious, but be careful as they are incredibly voluminous when you order them haha. The cheesecake for dessert is also very rich and delicious, an absolute gem! I end up ordering similar items each time, but I want to try everything on the menu. Also, be careful not to eat too much of the delicious freshly baked bread that comes out first haha. If you want to eat delicious meat in Tokyo, this place is highly recommended.

On a Sunday afternoon around 12:30, I was looking for a bright and welcoming restaurant in Toranomon where I could meet with relatives. This place is open on Sundays and caters to all ages, from young children to seniors, with a relaxed yet classy atmosphere. Other tables were filled with families celebrating special occasions, creating a cheerful and harmonious holiday vibe. The staff was attentive, offering dishes that were easy to share and eat. First of all, the atmosphere is unbeatable. While the restaurant may not be as flashy as Wolfgang's or Peter Luger, it has a calm and chic feel that I personally love. The service is also excellent. As for the food, one of my companions has been to Wolfgang's and Peter Luger, but still prefers Ruth's Chris. Personally, I love American steaks in general, so I was not too concerned. The steak was absolutely delicious. I have been here several times and will continue to come back in the future. It was a wonderful dining experience.

I went to a steakhouse in Cancun, Mexico. I think it is one of the top steak restaurants overseas. The taste was unforgettable, so I visited their branch in Japan for lunch on a weekday. I was able to enter without a reservation. There were a few groups of customers, including salarymen and couples. They offer lunch sets with options like hamburgers, but of course, I chose the steak. I went for the lunch set with filet steak as the main dish. You can choose between salad and soup as a side, which can be shared if you are with someone else. The salad and soup were decent, but the steak was excellent. In Mexico, I had ribeye steak, but this time I tried the filet steak, worried about any unpleasant smell. There was no smell, and the cooking was fantastic. This is what I highly praise about the restaurant. I also added mashed potatoes as a side, which had a great original garlic flavor. I definitely want to come back again.

I ordered smoked salmon, Caesar salad, porterhouse, and potato gratin, and they were all delicious. Usually at foreign steakhouse restaurants, the portions are too big for two people to finish, but the portions at this restaurant were just right. The staff were also very polite and the food was delicious, so I would like to go back again.

Long time no visit. I usually live in Kansai, so it's hard to come here, but whenever I come to Tokyo, I always visit this restaurant. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the filet steak and onion soup when I first went to Hawaii. It's difficult to go on weekdays when I have a preschooler. Even on Saturday night, it was fully booked, so I went at 11 o'clock. I ordered the filet steak and got the soup as a set. The soup was divided into three portions for my child by the staff's consideration. The price is quite high, but I think it's worth it for satisfying steak and dishes. I will visit again.

I have been to Hawaii several times, but this was my first visit to Ruth's Chris in Japan! The atmosphere was stylish and the service was very good. I ordered soup, steak, shrimp, bread, sautéed spinach, mushrooms, etc! Everything was delicious, but personally, the shrimp was very tasty! The garlic sauce was irresistible... it was also delicious with the bread. I had a very satisfying meal. It may be a bit extravagant, but if you don't choose the most expensive meat, you can still enjoy it at a slightly lower budget! But if you're going to treat yourself, might as well go all out! Thank you for the meal.

I had been to Wolfgang's before, but I had never been to Ruth's Chris, so I made a reservation to try it out. Some reviews mentioned that it has a nice and calm atmosphere, but this time there were only noisy customers. I prefer Wolfgang's over this place. Since it was late for lunch, I only ordered some steak, asparagus, and beer. The mayonnaise-like sauce on the asparagus was delicious. I also preferred the filet steak over the other cuts. The steak here might be tastier than Wolfgang's.

An old-fashioned American steakhouse. A restaurant that you remember when you least expect it. The price of a draft beer is 1,420 yen, and the lunch set (half steak sandwich) is 3,930 yen. The sandwich has chewy and crispy bread with plenty of meat inside. It's definitely worth the price! The French fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they are so delicious that you can't stop eating them. Located in Kasumigaseki, where there are only government offices, it's a hidden gem on weekends. It was a very satisfying lunch. I also wrote about it on my blog.

I felt like having steak, so I decided to try a new restaurant. Despite being located in the office district of Toranomon-Kasumigaseki, the restaurant had a decent crowd even during lunch on a holiday. The customers seemed to be more of the well-off families living nearby rather than those celebrating a special occasion. I ordered the domestic wagyu ribeye steak instead of the usual lean meat. It was incredibly delicious! I was worried about the steak being overcooked as is common in steak houses, so I requested it rare, but it turned out to be perfectly cooked here. Maybe medium rare would have been better. The crab cake had a strong crab flavor and was delicious. The slightly cheap-looking interior was a bit of a concern, but overall, it was tasty!

The desserts are incredibly delicious and come in large portions. It's best to share with 3-4 people as it can be a lot for one person. Sharing with 4 people might be slightly lacking. Additionally, they have a great selection of wines.
