Bird Shiki offers a course menu where they add a special touch to their grilled chicken dishes, rather than serving them as skewers. Located just an 8-minute walk from Ebisu Station, next to Ebisu Garden Place. The menu includes: low-temperature cooked chicken breast, new ginger seaweed rolls, simmered chicken with miso, garlic spring rolls, sand liver confit, soft-boiled eggs with light soy sauce, winter melon and string bean wonton soup, grilled Date chicken knee, nori genovese, charcoal-grilled asparagus, Iwate duck breast, tsukune manju, red turnip pickled in sweet vinegar, edamame mochi with umadashi sauce, chicken neck skin with miso, cartilage with belly meat, grilled manjushage chili pepper, grilled seseri (neck meat) with balsamic sauce and arugula, spiced chicken wings, red haruka baked sweet potato, fruit tomato junsa soaked in Tosazu vinegar, momo sanchu roll, grilled rice ball ochazuke, apricot shaved ice. The meat is the same high-quality Date chicken as at Bird Shiki, with excellent meat quality and dishes tailored to the fatty cuts of meat. The menu is well put together and the dishes complement each other when paired with Bird Shiki.

Visited the restaurant after 3 months and this time I only had one alcoholic drink so I made it to the last shaved ice! (Although I got a half size and the rest in a bento box) The ingredients for the dishes that come with the chicken were all autumn-like and heartwarming. It's really interesting how the texture and flavor of the chicken can vary depending on the part. And they use it to its fullest potential, serving it with maximum deliciousness! I always take simple photos of the dishes with my phone but never record the names, so I can't give detailed descriptions, but it's really delicious. The balance between the reliable classic dishes and those that evoke a sense of the season is well thought out, making each visit exciting. The chef also has a great sense of conversation and creates a cozy atmosphere that goes beyond just polite service. A wonderful restaurant where you can feel at ease. Looking forward to my next visit, which is planned for the colder season.

I made a reservation through OMAKASE and visited the restaurant. I was looking forward to trying the yakitori, which is grilled chicken without skewers. Each dish was very carefully prepared, perfectly grilled, with simple yet flavorful seasoning, and truly delicious. My friend couldn't eat much halfway through, and they noticed and adjusted the portion for us, showing great hospitality. It was a delicious and enjoyable experience that passed by in no time. Thank you for the meal. I would love to visit again!

A little while since I last visited Kogane... Ah, every time I come here, I get hooked on the deliciousness of the chicken. Tonight was no exception, from start to finish, I was completely satisfied. If I had to nitpick, I've already had the grilled rice ball as the finale last time, so I might want to try a different dish to finish this time. The grilled rice ball here is so delicious that I could eat it all, but since it's my second time having it and I didn't love it that much to begin with, I might get tired of it.

This was my second visit. Although it's not yakitori, the course was full of chicken dishes prepared in various flavors and cooking methods. The portion was quite generous, but I managed to finish it all. It's a satisfying course that leaves you feeling very full. The wine selection on the menu is limited in terms of affordability, so bringing a bottle was the right choice.

As you can see from my first visit, the skewers are carefully prepared without being pierced. The spring rolls were too hot for me, who has a sensitive tongue, but I couldn't resist and ate them anyway. The tsukune and cream puff were so delicious! The sweet potatoes were also very sweet and amazing.

It is located a short walk from Ebisu Garden Place. The counter is long, and they serve freshly cooked dishes. Chicken may not have a seasonal taste, but in this case (summer), it is accompanied by corn, giving a seasonal feel. Many reviews mentioned the large portion sizes, so when I visited feeling very hungry, I still felt comfortable. Lately, many popular restaurants have large portion sizes, so from that perspective, I think it was a normal amount. I enjoyed the meal.

One of my favorite restaurants that I have been visiting regularly since it opened. They serve classic dishes with seasonal ingredients added here and there. Items like spring rolls and corn can be dangerous for someone with a sensitive tongue! But it's fun to eat them with the staff and friends, joking around about getting burned. Despite a bit of noise from a group that coincidentally arrived at the same time, the atmosphere is always enjoyable. We even had some special sake and I ended up treating my friends to it, even though it's usually 1.5 times more expensive than usual. With a moderate amount of drinking and eating to our heart's content, the bill came out to around 20,000 yen. It's really reasonable and I definitely want to visit again before the end of the year. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

A shop that operates by reservation only, with two seatings per day at 5pm and 8pm. It was my first visit, invited by an acquaintance. The hospitality was wonderful ✨✨ They paid close attention to the customers' movements. They used a lot of summer vegetables, making the dishes not only visually stunning but also delicious!! The food kept coming as we chatted, so the pace was a bit fast for me who likes to eat slowly. Nevertheless, it was a time of complete satisfaction for both my stomach and heart ❤️ Thank you for the meal ✨✨

Today I visited Toriyaki Kohka. Toriyaki Kohka is a chicken restaurant located in Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It is a restaurant that specializes in chicken dishes, with a main focus on non-skewered grilled chicken courses. The restaurant is located right next to Ebisu Garden Place, and offers a unique concept of non-skewered grilled chicken that seems to cater to both high-end and mass-market needs. I decided to visit because of its interesting concept and its convenient location. After looking online, I found out that Torishiki, a renowned yakitori restaurant, collaborated with LDH Kitchen to open this restaurant. It's no wonder that the omakase courses get fully booked. Upon being seated at the restaurant, the course started with chicken breast and ginger rolls. The texture of the chicken breast was great, and the ginger added a nice flavor. The course included various dishes such as spring rolls, snow crab confit with garlic sauce, green beans with winter melon, Datte chicken knee meat, asparagus with nori genovese sauce, Iwate duck loin, tsukune with mayonnaise, edamame mochi with bonito broth, vinegar miso sauce with chicken neck skin, soft bone with diaphragm, esophagus with balsamic vinegar, Datte chicken wing tips with cumin, grilled sweet potato, fruit tomato and shiso with Tosa vinegar, Datte chicken thigh with sauce, Datte chicken bone soup, and grilled rice ball tea pickles with apricot shaved ice. The course was well-rounded with generous portions, and each dish was carefully crafted and delicious. While yakitori is great, I also feel that chicken dishes should be considered as a dining option. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

My friend who loves yakitori made a reservation for the second visit. I didn't plan on drinking alcohol that day, but the recommended lineup of Japanese sake was so wonderful that we all ended up drinking too much that night. The chicken dishes, which are not served on skewers, have a wide variety, so as a light eater, I ordered a half portion this time and had the rest packed to go. Even so, I couldn't resist the delicious grilled sweet potatoes this time. The seasonal creative dishes that come in between the classic chicken dishes are exciting and make every visit enjoyable! Even though it was only my second time there, the chef remembered my dislikes very well, which surprised me! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to those who love chicken dishes.

I visited Toriyaki Koba, a restaurant I had been wanting to try. The menu was simple but delicious, and I enjoyed it so much that I want to visit regularly. Today's menu included: chicken breast with fresh ginger, chicken spring rolls, gizzard and soft-boiled egg, chicken dumplings with green beans and winter melon, chicken knee, charcoal-grilled asparagus with dried seaweed, Iwate duck loin, pickled red radish, tsukune monaka, edamame mochi with savory sauce, chicken neck skin with vinegar miso, chicken and frog, bell pepper and chili pepper, charcoal-grilled chicken tenderloin, baked red sweet potato, fruit tomato and jelly with shredded radish, Iwate peach glazed grilled chicken thigh, grilled rice balls, and shaved ice (lemon and passion fruit). Thank you for the meal!

Passing through Ebisu Garden Place and in front of the Nichifutsu Kaikan, there is a shop run by an apprentice of Torishiki. The interior of the shop consists only of a counter. This time, we visited the shop for a private reservation. The uchiwa (fan) of Torishiki's head chef unintentionally ended up under the kamidana (household Shinto altar), but it looked quite divine, haha. The chicken breast meat with fresh ginger was like a hand-rolled sushi. The chicken meat miso spring roll was deliciously sweet and savory. The sand liver and bishadama came with a garlic chive sauce that whets the appetite. The chicken and winter melon dumplings with green beans had a gentle soup. The chicken knee meat, which felt like a true yakitori dish for the first time. The asparagus charcoal-grilled with nori seaweed genovese had a slightly Western twist. The Iwate duck loin with pickled red radish for palate cleansing. The tsukune monaka was a new sensation, with mustard instead of egg yolk. The edamame mochi with umadashi sauce was a chewy chopstick rest. Enjoying chicken frog (diaphragm and soft cartilage) with vinegar miso sauce while drinking sake. The Manjuji chili pepper grilled with chicken breast and bonito flakes. The charcoal-grilled chicken neck with balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese, and arugula. The spicy wings of Iwate chicken, which makes you crave beer if you love beer. The beni haruka sweet potato was as sweet as dessert. The fruit tomato and junsei jelly was refreshing, followed by the Iwate chicken thigh glazed with sauce wrapped in lettuce. The grilled rice ball was perfect for a post-meal ochazuke. The dessert shaved ice with lemon and passion fruit. Although we were so full it was almost painful, everything was delicious. While the focus was on chicken, it was presented in various forms, and the occasional vegetables in between were refreshing and tasty. Without them, we might not have been able to finish. It was a great restaurant! Reservations may be difficult, but I would like to visit again.

The restaurant, which is based on the concept of Bird Shiki's skewer-less grilled chicken, offers dishes that are all exquisite and impressive. It's understandable why it's difficult to make a reservation. The dessert, grilled sweet potato, was also amazing. It had been a while since I had eaten grilled sweet potato, but I felt that it was a well-executed dessert. It's a fun restaurant that stimulates your curiosity about food, so I would like to visit again.

Everything was delicious!! Towards the end, I was quite full. It seems like women can choose to have half portions or stop midway. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff work efficiently with quick operations. There are no negatives, so I rate it 5.0. I definitely want to visit this favorite restaurant again!!

This was my second visit, and they remembered me from last time, knowing my dislikes. To avoid the stomach ache from last time, I ordered everything as half portions to take home. The specialty chicken wings were amazing, so I got some extra to take home. I must have had about 5 bowls of the chicken soup. The dishes were not just your typical grilled chicken, they had added original touches and everything was delicious.

Omakase course (13,900 yen including tax) The new beef burdock and chicken stewed spring rolls are very delicious with a strong aroma of new beef burdock! The seared broccoli with ultimate egg sauce has a great combination of fragrant broccoli and rich egg sauce ^_^ The Iwate duck loin is juicy and incredibly delicious! The fried Datte chicken wings are crispy with a nice kick of spices. The roasted Beniharuka sweet potato has a very strong sweetness of the sweet potato, and when paired with rich butter, it's heavenly ☺️ The grilled chicken thigh with sauce is so delicious that you'll want more ☺️ The grilled rice ball ochazuke has a delicious broth. Located in Ebisu, Toriyaki Kohnohana offers a variety of chicken dishes without being skewered. The course where you can enjoy various parts in a kappo-like flow is very enjoyable! The clean interior with only a counter is also lovely ☺️ I made a reservation through the website of Ikyu. #Ebisu #ChickenDish #ToriyakiKohnohana #Yakitori #Duck #SpringRolls #WantToConnectWithGourmetPeople #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #WantToConnectWithChickenLovers #YakitoriLover #WantToConnectWithYakitoriLovers #TokyoGourmet #EbisuGourmet #EbisuDinner #ChickenLover #Kohana #Tsukune #Broccoli #Tokyo #Yakitori #Dinner

I finally got to try the small flower restaurant. I've never had chicken siki before, but I was lucky to get a reservation here. The chicken flavor is really brought out well. I'm not usually a fan of grilled rice balls, but I tried it with the chicken tea porridge and it changed my perception. I'm looking forward to trying it again in the summer.

The dishes were prepared with great care and were very delicious. However, some items were crispy on the outside but became soggy when sauce like ponzu was poured on top, which was a bit disappointing in terms of texture. I would prefer to keep the crispy texture intact. Some parts had a bit too much fat, so I wished for some garnish or spice to bring out the flavors. The chicken wings were very tasty, but I think they would be even better if they were cooked at a higher temperature at the end to make them crispy. Overall, I think it's a wonderful restaurant.

Toriyaki Kogane, thank you for always taking care of us. The non-skewered grilled chicken world appetizers include chicken breast meat rolled with ginger and perilla leaves, grilled chicken gizzards stewed in miso, and spring rolls with thigh meat sauce. The tsukune and homemade mayonnaise grilled rice balls were delicious. The tea-pickled rice balls and buttered grilled sweet potatoes were also amazing. The various chicken dishes were exquisite. The shaved ice dessert was refreshing and perfect for feeling the summer vibes. It's a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station. Open from 5 pm to 7:30 pm for the first session and from 8 pm to 10:30 pm for the second session. Closed every Sunday and Monday. Reservations can be made through OMAKASE or Ikyu.

"I visited a restaurant called 'Torishiki' recommended by Ikegawa Yoshiteru, where Sato Shintaro, a skilled grill master and owner, serves delicious grilled chicken dishes without skewers. I loved the interior of the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed all the chicken dishes from start to finish. Even though there was a lot of food, I managed to finish everything without leaving any leftovers. The dessert shaved ice was also delicious. The chefs were always smiling and provided excellent service, making me feel happy and content while enjoying the food."
