[July 2012] I received a notification that the third female champion cow of the year had been awarded and purchased, and they reserved the tenderloin for me. As always, it was incredibly delicious. [December 2011] I received the Honorary Award (female cow category) for the 4th National Tajima Beef Carcass Joint Exhibition. I received a 120g tenderloin course. The National Tajima Beef Carcass Joint Exhibition is held every four years, with 100 cows (30 female cows and 70 castrated bulls) from 8 prefectures participating. One female cow and one castrated bull are selected for the Honorary Award. Female cows are already known for their tenderness and great taste, but they seem to have become even more rare due to the number of participants. I received a notification about purchasing the Honorary Award-winning cow, so I had the tenderloin meat reserved. Just like the last time I received an Honorary Award-winning cow, when grilling this meat on an iron plate, absolutely no oil comes out. None at all. The meat is cooked, sealing in 100% of its flavor. The top-quality material truly excels in texture, taste, and meat flavor. The price may be a bit high, but you can only experience this meat here. [October 2011] I received the Best in Show Award for the 228th Kobe Beef Carcass Joint Encouragement Association. I received a female tenderloin, and it was outstanding as always. The meat itself exuded a unique flavor with every bite. [January 2011 revisit] I received a notification that the Grand Champion cow was available and made a reservation. It was the Grand Champion cow of the 2010 Kobe Meat Carcass Joint Encouragement Association. It was A5-12. Especially the tenderloin tends to sell out quickly, so I barely made it in time. Phew! The Grand Champion cow 120g course costs 27,300 yen (including consumption tax, 10% service charge not included). Indeed, it is different from the regular Champion cows. By the way, when looking at the menu, there was a course for the Champion castrated bull, which was slightly cheaper than the female Champion cow. The fact that there is a menu for castrated bulls suggests that there are fewer female Champion cows available nowadays. Now, I wonder what kind of experience the Grand Champion cow will provide. This time, the chef was the manager of the Ginza store, and despite it being a long time since my last visit, he remembered my name and our previous conversations, making the conversation flow smoothly. Company lunch meeting with 5 people. We were able to make a reservation for lunch in advance, and even though it was a private room, it was easy to book, which was very much appreciated. ⭐️ I usually go for steak without hesitation, but due to budget constraints, I opted for the Kobe Tajima beef hamburger lunch today. The hamburger, freshly grilled in front of us, had a fluffy texture. It was my first time experiencing a hamburger that melts in your mouth. With a good thickness and very juicy, the hamburger was full of meat juices and was very delicious! I ordered the garlic rice for an additional charge. The garlic rice had a gentle garlic flavor that wasn't too strong, so I could eat it with peace of mind even during work breaks.

Taking it easy, I spent my days visiting various famous restaurants. I decided to try teppanyaki for lunch and found a reasonably priced course at Kawamura, a beefsteak restaurant. For 5830 yen, the course included soup, salad, grilled vegetables, meat, rice, miso soup & pickles, dessert & drink, which seemed like a great deal. I made a reservation through Tabelog and got a complimentary drink, so I ordered a glass of red wine. As expected from a renowned Ginza restaurant, everything from the soup was delicious. The salad dressing was even homemade. I was a bit worried if the portion would be enough, but it turned out to be just right, and I left completely satisfied!! I would love to come back again if I have the chance.

We ordered hamburg and steak to share for lunch. The hamburg was juicy and the steak was tender and very delicious! The soup was a fluffy cold soup with a unique texture that I enjoyed. The salad was a mix-it-yourself type with a dressing that had just the right amount of acidity and both were delicious. The vegetables served with miso sauce were a perfect match and I couldn't stop eating them! It was my first time trying garlic rice with shirasu, but the amount was just right and it was delicious. Overall, the food was very tasty, but unfortunately, the attitude and service of the waitstaff and the language barrier were very disappointing... I don't think I'll be going back!

I had a hamburger for lunch. The chef was really skilled. The sauce was delicious. The dessert was also tasty. The meat itself was not like typical junk food, it had a texture that felt like it had been overly kneaded. It might be good for people who like that kind of texture! I visited a teppanyaki restaurant in Ginza for lunch. I sat at the counter and decided to order the special Kobe beef lunch. I started with a beer, which went well with the seared beef appetizer. I then ordered a bottle of red wine and enjoyed the creamy potage soup. Watching the skilled chefs cook was entertaining. The beef was cooked medium rare and was tender and delicious. I wanted to eat more, but 100g was satisfying. I enjoyed it with garlic rice and finished everything. The dessert was also delicious. "I wanted to eat teppanyaki for less than ¥10,000 in Ginza, so I decided to visit this restaurant. This time, I ordered the special Kobe beef lunch course (100g)… which cost ¥12,600, so it's over ¥10,000, but it's Kobe beef after all. There are lunch menu options under ¥10,000 though. Teppanyaki is really great. It's impressive to see the food being cooked right in front of you. The sound of sizzling, the smell of the meat, I couldn't take my eyes off. The seared Kobe beef was tender, and it paired well with wasabi, garlic soy sauce, ginger, and the special sauce. The garlic was starting to be sautéed in front of us at this point. The onion and paprika soup had a gentle flavor, with just enough paprika to give it some color. The seasonal salad had a dressing with a nice tanginess to it, preparing us for the main steak dish. The special Kobe beef steak with grilled vegetables and rice. I opted for garlic rice for an additional cost. The garlic rice was prepared in front of us, with a nice crispy crust. The pumpkin was sweet, the paprika and onion were crunchy. And the meat. You can choose the doneness of the steak. It was tender and thick! You can choose from three sauces: steak sauce, rock salt, or miso sauce. For dessert, there was grape ice cream, creme brulee, and chocolate… it felt like a treat. Thank you for the wonderful meal! The main branch, which I visited in the past, is conveniently located within 5 minutes from Yurakucho Station in Ginza, with an elevator that takes you up directly to the restaurant reception. There are private rooms available, each with a small teppanyaki grill where the chef cooks in a Showa-style setting. The course meal starts with a small portion of sukiyaki wrapped in a tube, which is then transferred to a plate to be enjoyed like a soup. The delicious Kobe beef, served at 200 grams and cooked medium rare, is truly amazing. Following that, appetizers made with meat in bite-sized portions are served, leaving you wanting more. I made a reservation and went there! It's been a while since my family got together, so we decided to have some meat in Ginza! I searched and made a reservation on Tabelog because the reviews were good. I ordered the lunch set with domestic fillet steak. The food was excellent, the atmosphere and prices were satisfying. The service was okay, not terrible but there were some moments that made me go "hmm." The young part-time staff seemed to be working hard, but there were instances where they seemed nervous and not very efficient. The food, however, was delicious and the prices felt reasonable to me. I was able to use a drink coupon from Tabelog, so I was very satisfied. Apart from the service feeling a bit strange, everything else was great!

I have become completely hooked on the hamburgers served at a famous steakhouse where I treated my niece who came from Osaka. While the quality of steak is directly proportional to the skill of the professional chefs and the high-quality meat used, I find that hamburgers can be just as delicious with simple ingredients like home-ground meat or cheaper cuts. I used to feel disrespectful ordering hamburgers at high-end steak restaurants, and since I am not a fan of steak, I never sought out such places. However, I recently discovered that there are many restaurants in Tokyo that offer affordable hamburgers for lunch, so I have been enjoying them whenever I visit the city. One such rare and luxurious Kobe beef specialty restaurant opened in 2009 and is located on the 8th floor of the Brioni Building at the corner of Ginza Nishi-Gochome intersection. They have five branches in Hyogo Prefecture, one in Osaka, and two in Tokyo - one in Ginza and one in Roppongi. Like the previous restaurant, this one is closed on Mondays, which is why I couldn't visit during my workdays. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I was greeted by the luxurious ambiance of the restaurant, with a clean and polished teppanyaki grill and a counter with 12 seats. Half of the customers were foreign couples, and my friend and I, being the only female pair, were seated at the available central seats as requested. There are also three private rooms for six people each and one private room for ten people, but I did not see them as it would be rude to peek. The highlight of dining here is watching the chef skillfully cook the meat right in front of you, providing a live cooking experience. The Kobe and Tango beef hamburger (180g) lunch set for 3850 yen comes with four types of grilled vegetables - onion, carrot, pumpkin, and zucchini. The meal starts with carrot potage soup, followed by a salad with a refreshing citrus dressing and a mayonnaise-based dressing, allowing you to enjoy both flavors. I chose bread instead of rice, so I savored the hot bread while admiring the chef's exquisite skills. My mind was completely focused on the hamburger at this point (laughs). The dashi soy sauce with a hint of sweetness is delicious, but I particularly enjoy the miso sauce. Made with white miso from Okayama as the base, it is seasoned with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and topped with shichimi togarashi for a spicy kick. Not only was the food delicious, but the chef's extensive knowledge and engaging conversation made the dining experience truly enjoyable. Note: I made a reservation through Tabelog, and without me mentioning it, they offered a drink, including beer, as a coupon service. I didn't notice it at first, so I was grateful for the gesture.

I was the only customer during my visit, as it was just before 2 pm on a weekday, close to the last order time. The restaurant is a bit hard to find as there is no sign outside, but it is located on the 8th floor of the Brioni Ginza Building. Upon entering the elevator to the 8th floor, you are greeted by a grand entrance with a red carpeted hallway leading to the dining area, creating a solemn atmosphere. The lunch menu includes sets such as "Domestic Beef Fillet/Local Beef Fillet Steak," "Kobe/Tajima Beef Hamburg," "Premium Kobe Beef Sirloin Steak," "Premium Tajima Beef Sirloin Steak," "Super Premium Kobe Beef Sirloin Steak," and "Best Kobe Beef Sirloin Steak." You can choose between 100g or 130g for the steaks, with the option to add in increments of 10g. Each lunch set comes with steak or hamburger, potage soup, grilled vegetables, seasonal salad, pickles, miso soup (red broth), choice of bread/rice/garlic rice, dessert of the day, and coffee/tea (hot/iced). I visited for lunch on a regular day. The space seemed very formal, and there was a person standing in front of the elevator to guide us. At first, I was nervous because the person seemed a little intimidating due to their age and stern tone, but the chef was very friendly and made me feel at ease. I used it for my sister's birthday celebration lunch. Domestic beef fillet steak lunch for 5830 yen. I made a reservation through Tabelog for a solo dining experience at a restaurant known as one of the top 100 restaurants. It is located on the 8th floor of a building called Brioni, just a few minutes from Ginza Station. I ordered what I believe was the special Tajima 100g sirloin steak course, along with a draft beer, totaling ¥16,940. The meal consisted of various dishes, including a sweet marinated meat and vegetable appetizer, a standard assorted dish, a delicious oxtail soup, a tasty salad with original dressing, and teppanyaki-style vegetables and beef, cooked medium rare. The meal ended with rice, pickles, and miso soup. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but lacked a wow factor. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with a 10-seat counter and about 4 private table rooms. The service was average, and the drink selection was extensive. While it was a decent place for a solo dining experience, considering the price, the taste and composition of the meal were not outstanding. It fell short of my high expectations.
