I visited with a friend for lunch on a weekday. We made a reservation beforehand, but the time slot was already fully booked according to the website. It's better to make a reservation even on weekdays! We were seated by a large window with a beautiful view. The staff were very polite and explained how to cook the meat and recommended ways to eat the vegetables. The garlic rice we had with the meat was refreshing, especially with the topping of shiso leaves, and we finished it all without getting tired of it! I would love to visit again!

On New Year's Day, I went to a shrine for Hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year) for nearly 15 minutes and then I've been a shut-in. Today, I went on a lunch date with my beloved wife as usual. It's common sense that not many restaurants are open on January 2nd, but there are some restaurants open in the shopping mall from today. One of them is "Kisen Tei" in Midtown. What a relief. We entered at 12:15. We didn't make a reservation, but miraculously there were two seats available at the counter. For lunch, they offer sets and courses. The difference between a set and a course is that a course includes an appetizer platter (3 kinds) and a soup. The weather is nice today, so the view of Roppongi and Nogizaka area through the glass beyond the teppanyaki counter is beautiful. We ordered while enjoying a sake in a masu cup. My wife chose the lunch course with a fillet steak, with a meat upgrade from 150g to 250g, and I chose the lunch course with a sirloin steak, with a meat upgrade from 150g to 300g. Isn't that too much to eat? When you feel unsatisfied with lunch sets like teppanyaki, steak, or yakiniku, do you ever feel that way? I always go for the upgrade! By the way, in this restaurant, you can upgrade fillet or sirloin by 10g increments for 770 yen each! It's a system that meat lovers can't resist. The appetizers arrived in no time. I'm sorry, I've already had too much to drink, and I forgot to write down the description of the appetizers. There was something crab, something beef, and broccoli, I think. What I remember is that each flavor was different but the balance of the three dishes was good, not too strong. It's increasing my appetite. It's like an aperitif of appetizers. I've never experienced this kind of feeling before. The soup is clam and kelp broth soup. It's an appetizer soup. The clams are from Chiba Prefecture. They are so big! The soup has more umami than I expected. The gentle sea aroma enhances the gentle taste of the soup. Following the appetizers and soup, the salad and grilled vegetables arrived. The dressing of the salad enhances the flavor of the vegetables and is delicious. Surprisingly, you can have seconds of the salad. My wife had seconds... she's amazing. The grilled vegetables were yam, something horenso (spinach), and shiitake mushroom. The crunchy yam was delicious. The horenso goes well with butter. The thick shiitake mushroom can be enjoyed twice, once with the cap and once with the crunchy stem. This is great, this feeling! I can't wait to eat the meat! The main dish is served. Salt, wasabi, and ponzu with grated daikon... these items double the deliciousness of the meat! The chef's recommendation is wasabi. Oh no, this meat is melting. And this meat is so delicious that you can eat it as it is. Many steaks have a strong flavor with various seasonings, but the steak here is simply... the deliciousness of subtraction. The harmony of the deliciousness of the meat's material and the spices that do not interfere with it! The best! The dessert is caramel ice cream and strawberry mousse. It's refreshing! This place is highly recommended. I want to come back here again tomorrow. Thank you for the meal. It looks like it's going to be a great year!

On this day, my family had a reservation for a private room at a teppanyaki restaurant in Roppongi Midtown for a special occasion. Teppanyaki, where the food is cooked in front of you, always adds excitement to the meal. Plus, we had a view of the Christmas illumination and the skating rink, creating a beautiful night scene. Even our picky children who are usually hard to please with dining out seemed to be in a good mood (^◇^;). My wife and I opted for the Laughing Happiness course, and we were able to increase the amount of meat by 10g increments. We chose to increase the sirloin to 250g and the filet to 150g (totaling around 20,000 yen), which we shared. The kids ordered a la carte items such as salad (880 yen), grilled vegetables (880 yen), today's fish (sea bream - 2,640 yen), red miso soup (330 yen), sautéed rice (1,100 yen), and seasonal fruits (1,100 yen). The appetizers were delicious, the salad was fresh, and the clam soup was particularly tasty. There was also roast beef sushi, which was not necessary but interesting. Both the grilled vegetables and the meat were delicious. The meat comes from different regions depending on the day, and on this day, it was from Hokkaido. Both the sirloin and filet were delicious, but the filet stood out. We finished our meal, including dessert, in about 80 minutes. The pace was good. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and view were great, and the service was excellent. Being a teppanyaki restaurant managed by Imahan, it promised a high level of satisfaction, and we were indeed very satisfied. It was a wonderful dining experience! Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant my mom took me to on my birthday. It was my first time trying teppanyaki. The skilled chef was great at chatting and cooked right in front of us. I love garlic, so the garlic rice and garlic sauté were delicious. Of course, the meat was also tasty, but the cheapest lean meat my mom ordered was actually the most tender and my favorite!

I was worried that I had lost my sense of taste due to COVID and it might not come back, but thankfully it has recovered, so I visited to celebrate my recovery. Overall, the flavors were elegant and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Starting with a colorful appetizer, followed by a rich clam soup to warm the stomach, then onto sushi. The surprising delicious shiitake mushroom with soup oozing out was sandwiched between the main fillet. The perfect grilling, the way it melts in the mouth while spreading the taste of lean meat was very good. The wasabi was generously placed as recommended, and I understood the meaning of "if you don't put this much, it will be overshadowed by this meat." To finish, rice and red miso soup, and although I forgot to take a picture, dessert was ice cream. A bottle of medium red wine accompanied the meal. Thanks to this, I had a great meal. Thank you for the feast.

It's been over half a year since I tried taking photos with a mirrorless camera (partially of food). Although it's heavy, big, and I switched to using an iPhone, there is still a depth to the photos taken with a mirrorless camera. I'll definitely try taking photos with a mirrorless camera again. While in Roppongi, I decided to have a pleasant lunch at Tokyo Midtown. There were quite a few lunch options, so I asked at the entrance which was the most tender, and they mentioned that they use black wagyu beef, so the leanest cut with enough marbling is the best choice. I usually prefer kalbi in yakiniku. I never order sirloin. The lean cut here turned out to be... sirloin! I wanted to eat fatty, melt-in-your-mouth meat, but the lean cut had a great chew and meaty texture. The chef even said, "You seem like someone who prefers sirloin." As a kalbi lover who prefers melt-in-your-mouth meat, I've never voluntarily eaten meat with a good chew and meaty texture. But the chef, Mr. Hosoda, was very friendly, so I decided to try the sirloin again. If I had eaten the sirloin properly the first time, I wouldn't have planned to return, so ultimately, it was good that I could experience a different type of meat with a great chew and meaty texture. Dinner can be quite expensive, so lunch is more accessible, but there are two points to note. 1. The counter seats have full windows with no curtains, so those concerned about sunburn should be careful. I was able to change seats. 2. Lunch closes at 3:00 PM, and even entering at 1:30 PM felt rushed. Arrive early. They seemed to be aiming for no guests by 3:00 PM, as I was hurriedly asked to leave after just taking a spoonful of sherbet from the two desserts. It would have been nice if they had said, "Please enjoy." The staff probably have their lunch and dinner preparations to consider, but with a spacious interior and first-time customers, a bit more relaxed and warm service would be appreciated. It seemed like there were a lot of wealthy customers during dinner, but if they also serve lunch, it would be nice to have hospitality towards lunch customers as well. The salad dressing was incredibly delicious, and when I mentioned it, they quickly brought out a take-home bottle of the dressing, which surprised me.

This is a teppanyaki steak restaurant located on the 3rd floor of Tokyo Midtown Galleria Garden Terrace, directly connected to Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line. I often have lunch in Roppongi for work, so I was curious about this place, but I knew it was high-end just by looking at the exterior, so it was not a choice for me. Besides, I always understood that it was a restaurant that required reservations with the sign 'Full today' always displayed. The other day, after finishing work in Roppongi at 2 pm, I was walking around Midtown with a young employee who had done well in today's negotiations. When I saw them removing the 'Full today' sign, I asked and was told that we could enter if it was just the two of us, so we went in. I ordered the 'Sirloin Steak 150g' set without hesitation, while I ordered the 'Top-quality Lean Steak 100g' set for myself, as I didn't need a lot of meat and lean meat was enough for me. The young employee, who seemed to be experiencing this kind of atmosphere for the first time, kept exclaiming "amazing" every time a dish was served, impressed by the tender and sweet taste of the meat. They enjoyed the Sirloin steak so much that they even ordered an additional Fillet Steak 150g and devoured it happily. The Fillet was also apparently very delicious, making them very happy. Of course, the lean steak I had was also incredibly tender and tasty, as expected from a top-quality cut. It seemed to be a nice reward for the hardworking employee.

The quality of the meat at Ningyocho Imahan is top-notch due to its teppanyaki style. They also grill abalone and seasonal vegetables perfectly. The name "Kisen Tei" is derived from a rakugo theater that used to be in the same building as the current Ningyocho Imahan main store. The atmosphere is comfortable and not too formal, with a nice view of Midtown Garden. It's a must-visit during cherry blossom season.

I visited this restaurant for a banquet in the depths of Midtown on the 3rd floor, which can be a bit hard to find, so it's best to ask at the information desks scattered around. As it is a branch of the famous restaurant group, I had high expectations for the meat dishes. - Course: "Kisen" ¥30,800 - Assorted appetizers for the awakening of spring - Famous clam soup - Roast beef sushi - Premium Chateaubriand - Top fillet - Premium sirloin - Sautéed rice, red miso soup, pickles - Two types of dessert The private room with seating for four people offers a luxurious and special experience with a view of Roppongi's night skyline. The Chateaubriand was especially impressive! [Impressions] I was captivated by the appetizers, drawn in by the clams, and overwhelmed by the variety of meats. It was a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations!

On Beef Day, we visited a steakhouse with amazing marbling. There were three teppanyaki seats, and our family of three went. The kids were defeated after 3 bites, my wife was defeated after one steak, and I managed to finish 3 steaks. I usually eat 500-600 grams of steak, but I truly realized that a single steak with strong marbling is the most delicious. I should have gone on a regular day. I felt sorry for everything.

The restaurant looked so delicious, but there was a sign saying it was fully booked for the day. Just as I was about to leave, a staff member came out and mentioned that there had been a cancellation and they could possibly seat me. I was so lucky to get in without a reservation! I tried the lunch filet steak, 100g for 7700 yen, recommended with a wine pairing. It started with a salad of spinach, turnips, and shiitake mushrooms. Oh my, it was so delicious! The vegetables were on another level of tastiness. The filet steak was incredibly tender, flavorful, and juicy. The shiso rice was also amazing, I could eat it on its own! The combination with the meat was perfect. Overall, it was a perfect dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant!

At a teppanyaki restaurant in Midtown. This day was a celebration, so we opted for the course menu. The appetizers made with seasonal ingredients, clam soup with a rich broth, meat sushi, all paired perfectly with drinks. For the main course, you could choose between sirloin or filet, and I chose the filet. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The side vegetables were also delicious! The garlic fried rice as a finisher had the perfect amount of saltiness. Despite being full, I couldn't resist finishing it all. The service was attentive, making it a great choice for a date or business dinner.

Instead of being blocked by closed windows in the building, I was able to see the outside through open windows, which made me feel a bit more relaxed while having my meal. I enjoyed watching the chef in front of us cook and prepare our dishes, and overall, I was able to truly savor the dining experience. Of course, everything was delicious.

I visited "Teppanyaki Steak Kisen Tei Tokyo Midtown Store" located in Akasaka. This restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 steak restaurants in the Foodlog Steak Top 100 in 2021. It is conveniently located near Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Hibiya Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, just a 1-minute walk away. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor of Tokyo Midtown Galleria Garden Terrace. The entrance has a white curtain, giving off a traditional Japanese vibe. The interior is a calm Japanese-style space. From the large window overlooking the counter, you can enjoy the night view of the city skyline blending in with the atmosphere. Today's menu included: Edo vegetables with a crunchy texture, and top-grade fillet steak expertly cooked by skilled chefs. The meat was perfectly cooked with a delightful aroma and tender texture. Kisen Tei is a teppanyaki restaurant produced by Ningyocho Imahan, a traditional restaurant that has been focusing on high-quality Japanese black beef since its establishment in 1885. I enjoyed the delicious steak while admiring the night view. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Midtown, this teppanyaki restaurant is run by Imahan. The counter seats offer a great view and a nice atmosphere. The course includes appetizers, clams, sashimi, abalone, meat, and rice. The clams are very large and satisfying. The soup has a rich flavor and is delicious. The sashimi is fresh. The abalone is big and chewy. The meat is tender and incredibly delicious with a good amount of marbling. I want to come back again. The service was also polite and good.

It was my first time trying teppanyaki. The chef explained the dishes in front of me and served them at just the right speed. The meat rice bowl at the end was made with sirloin meat on the teppan, cooked with just the right amount of oil. There were two dessert options, and the orange jelly had a slight acidity which was refreshing after the meal. The timing of each dish being served was perfect, leaving me completely satisfied.

This is a teppanyaki restaurant located in Roppongi Midtown. We had a private room with a great view overlooking Akasaka and Hinokicho Park through the chef's counter. We were able to taste a variety of meats such as Tamura beef and aged meat, enjoying the flavors of each while comparing them. The Tamura beef was delicious, and the aged meat had an amazing aroma. The garlic fried rice at the end was incredibly satisfying. Thank you for the meal! Teppanyaki in Midtown. It seems they have been operating here for over 10 years. There were private rooms available, but this time we were seated in an open area. The large windows provide a great view, especially during Midtown events with fireworks. I ordered the 150g sirloin set with a highball. The salad was refillable, so I enjoyed plenty of vegetables while waiting for the meat. After dishes like butter-fried mushrooms were served, the meat arrived! It was incredibly tender. Given the price, it was quite surprising. The mustard served with it was a perfect match. Then came the second surprise. A friend who doesn't drink alcohol ordered a premium green tea and found it delicious. I was inspired to switch from highball to the same tea. I love places with a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Next time, I want to try the oolong tea they offer. The garlic rice and sorbet were also delicious. The service, including thoughtful gestures, was excellent. I would love to visit this place again.

I didn't know about it until I went there, but there's a teppanyaki restaurant run by Ningyocho Imahan. Teppanyaki isn't something I usually go for, but for some reason, I've been going to these types of restaurants quite frequently lately. Just recently I went to Ukaitei in Ginza, and now I found myself at Kisentei. I don't feel like I eat Japanese food too often, maybe 2-3 times a week, but when it comes to teppanyaki, going twice in a month feels like a lot. However, Kisentei is a Japanese restaurant with teppanyaki style, so it's completely different from Ukaitei. They have teppanyaki tables for groups of three or smaller groups, which is great for having conversations. This time, we used a table for three with just two people. We started with appetizers and sushi, then moved on to the teppanyaki menu. There were two options: thin slices of meat with matsutake mushrooms, and steak. The chef cooked these dishes in front of us and greeted us warmly. He managed his time well, moving from table to table without making us feel his absence. The teppanyaki was the highlight of the Japanese course. We ordered the sirloin and fillet, sharing them between us. The meat was delicious. It's interesting to see how a Japanese restaurant can make teppanyaki a unique and enjoyable experience.
