Visited on a Saturday after 8 pm. About a 10-minute walk from Kichijoji Station. The brick-style exterior is easy to spot. The interior has a calm atmosphere with a wood theme. It has a bit of a mountain hut vibe. There are warm paintings and pottery inside. It feels more like a cafe than a curry restaurant. There are three 4-person tables and several 2-person tables. Was seated at a large table without waiting. The curry menu is extensive. There are topping options available, and after some consideration, I chose the following: Special Curry (Beef) for 1300 yen. You can choose from chicken, pork, or beef without any additional charge. The curry includes meat, beans, vegetables, and a boiled egg. It has a European curry flavor, mild and rich in broth and depth. The beef is tender and juicy. It has a gentle and healthy taste. The spiciness gradually builds up, becoming addictively delicious. Even those who don't like spicy food should be fine. The boiled egg is cooked perfectly and easy to eat with the curry. The chickpeas add a nice touch. The portion size is just right, without feeling heavy. It was a satisfying curry. I would like to try the pork curry next time. Payment is also accepted through electronic money.

I ordered the Special Beef Curry. It was full of ingredients with plenty of curry sauce, giving a satisfying feeling. The sauce was spicy, about medium heat. There was a good amount of rice. The boiled egg whites were firm but not too hard, and the yolks were cooked through. The vegetables were cut into large pieces, providing a good chew. I decided to go for the Special option this time, but I'd like to try comparing it to the regular one with just the ingredients.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, like an old-fashioned coffee shop. I ordered the pork curry which allows you to enjoy a large piece of tender pork. The meat is so soft that the more you chew, the more sweetness you can taste, providing a satisfying eating experience. The dish also has a good volume with beans and the spices are well-balanced, making it very delicious.

I visited this highly rated curry restaurant in Kichijoji, where my training was taking place. As soon as I entered the restaurant, the smell of curry made my appetite increase. I ordered the pork curry. When the pork curry arrived, it looked delicious. I took a spoonful of rice and curry sauce and tasted it. The indescribable aroma of the spices in the curry spread throughout my mouth, and the piece of pork slowly melted in my mouth. Delicious. I don't know the names of the spices, but this curry is addictive. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived a few minutes before the holiday opening time. There were about 5 groups and 10 people in front of me. Managed to get the first batch. I ordered the special chicken, while my companion got the special beef. We exchanged a piece of meat, and both dishes were delicious. The boiled egg topping was hard-boiled. You cannot choose the level of spiciness, but even though I'm not good with spicy food, I could handle it. The spiciness doesn't just sit on the surface, but gradually builds up as you eat, enhancing the overall flavor. It's a famous place, so I felt like I had to try it at least once, and my impression was like, "Yeah, I get it."

The restaurant is located in the backstreet behind Uniqlo, a little walk from the station, called Mamemura. We arrived at 11:00 when it opened and there were 4 people waiting in line. We ordered the Special Beef Curry for 1,350 yen and the Mamemura Salad for 500 yen. The Special Curry comes with a variety of vegetables, eggs, and beans to choose from, with options of beef, pork, or chicken at the same price. We chose beef and it was served in about 7-8 minutes. The Mamemura Salad had toppings like tofu, seaweed, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, green onions, daikon radish, paprika, and various beans, all dressed in a Japanese-style dressing to enjoy before the curry.

I arrived at around 12:30 on a regular day. There were seats available and I was seated right away. I ordered the Beef Special Curry. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. It contained boiled eggs, beans, and vegetables (such as eggplant and cherry tomatoes), making it enjoyable to eat without getting tired of it. There were two types of spices provided for flavor variation - one spicy and one aromatic.

Wanted to go to Kichijoji's "Mamekura" curry restaurant, one of the top 100 curry shops, on a weekday after 11:30 AM, the restaurant was empty! The Special Curry + Lassi Set (¥1700) is a generous menu with vegetables, 4 types of beans, boiled egg, and beef. The curry sauce is not too spicy but you can still taste the spices well. The vegetables are also delicious. The lassi has a stronger sour taste than sweetness, making it a perfect way to finish off the curry! #TokyoGourmet #GourmetClub #GourmetGuys #GourmetTour #FoodPorn #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #GourmetInstagram #Lunch #KichijojiGourmet #Instagrammable #Mamekura #SpecialCurry #Top100CurryShops #Curry

It's about a 6-minute walk from JR Kichijoji Station. I arrived 15 minutes before opening and there were 2 customers waiting. The restaurant is located in a corner of a residential house. I ordered the Special Curry for 1350 yen today. The curry comes with vegetables, beans, pork, and a boiled egg. It took 25 minutes of waiting before it was finally served, and it seems they don't serve in the order of entry. There was only one type of curry, which had a sweet taste like Western curry. The toppings included an egg, 2 small pieces of pork, 2 slices of eggplant, 2 cherry tomatoes, etc., but it didn't feel very special, and I forgot to take a picture. The cost performance is not good either. The rice portion was small, but it seems you can get a large portion for an additional 200 yen. Overall, it didn't feel particularly special. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Mamekura in Kichijoji, Tokyo. This is a curry specialty restaurant with a long history. I ordered the Special Curry which had vegetables, beans, boiled egg, and beef in it. The curry was plentiful and had chunks of beef in it. The curry had a refined taste with just the right amount of spiciness. Among the vegetables, the eggplant was particularly delicious.

Due to an unexpected incident in Ogikubo, I hurriedly moved to Kichijoji. I ended up at this long-established restaurant in search of curry. I arrived at 12:15 and was seated immediately. I ordered the special beef curry, along with a beer and a side of mixed pickles. While waiting for the curry, I enjoyed the beer and pickles. When the curry finally arrived, even the regular portion was quite substantial. The beans mentioned in the restaurant's name were present in the curry without overpowering it. The vegetables and boiled egg were also delicious. The beef I chose had a good balance of meatiness and blended well with the rest of the dish. The level of spiciness and spices was mild, making the curry appealing to everyone. You can also sprinkle some spices from the condiment set on the table to enhance the flavor. Truly a renowned restaurant in Kichijoji. It's a place where you can enjoy a delicious curry in a pleasant atmosphere and feel happy.

I arrived before 2 o'clock and was surprised to see the restaurant full. Since I was alone, I was able to be seated right away. I ordered the special curry with vegetables, beans, and eggs, but decided to go for the beef option. It was spicier than I expected, and as someone who prefers mild curry, I needed water. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. The portion of rice was also quite generous.

I had been curious about Mamekura-san for a while. Even though the name suggests bean curry, I decided to try the Special Curry here! I chose the beef option. The beans were delicious! It's not very spicy, but as you eat more, you start to taste the spices more. However, if asked if I would go again, I think once is enough for me! It wasn't a taste that would make me addicted.

I waited in line for about 20 minutes in a queue of six groups, as it was listed among the top 100 restaurants in 2022, 2020, and 2019. I ordered vegetable curry and lassi. The curry had a rich flavor, and as I continued eating, the spiciness kicked in. The curry had chunks of eggplant and the acidity of cherry tomatoes added a nice touch. I noticed two types of special seven-spice blends on the table as I finished eating, and I wished I had tried them for a flavor change.

I was drawn to the cute name and sign, so I went to lunch with a friend. We lined up around 12 o'clock and were able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. I ordered the "Special Chicken Curry" and when it arrived, the curry was very colorful and appetizing. The vegetables were sweet tomatoes, tender eggplants, and others, all very fresh. The meat was juicy and made me smile involuntarily! The spiciness was mild and very easy to eat. At first glance, I thought it might be a small portion, but by the time I finished, I felt satisfied. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

This is the third restaurant I visited in Kichijoji, Mamezou. It is selected as one of the top 100 curry restaurants on Tabelog for 2022. I visited on the first day of a 3-day holiday, a public holiday. Although the opening time is 11:00, I arrived around 10:55 and there was already one group waiting outside. Once it opened, we were seated inside. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with cute decorations that appeal to a woman's heart. I ordered the Vegetable Curry for 1,100 yen. I thought the curry would be served quickly since it's a popular dish, but I actually had to wait for about 10 minutes. The presentation was lovely, with bright green kaiware, yellow and orange bell peppers. Personally, I prefer curry that is a bit thicker (like leftover curry from home), but I enjoyed the rich flavor of this curry. It was not too sweet or too spicy, just right. I devoured it quickly. The curry included deep-fried vegetables, which may have taken some time to prepare. The lineup included green peppers, cherry tomatoes, and eggplant - all summer vegetables. There were condiments on the table, but I didn't feel the need to use them as the curry was delicious on its own. The option to pay with various cashless methods was a convenient feature at this restaurant.

I found this place while wandering around Kichijoji looking for lunch. I thought it was a traditional Japanese izakaya at first because of the sign that said "Mamekura," but it turned out to be a curry restaurant that caught my eye. I had the vegetable curry, and the curry sauce was thick and rich. The vegetables were delicious too. The portion of rice was generous, and I left feeling satisfied. I might have been okay with a smaller portion. It was so tasty that I want to go back again.

Curry restaurant in Kichijoji. I visited Little Spice the other day, and this place is now in my top two curry spots in Kichijoji. Little Spice has a more traditional vibe, while this place feels like a trendy cafe with authentic curry. I ordered the special beef curry for 1350 yen. The curry itself is more of a Western-style curry. Located just off a busy street in Kichijoji, it was a relaxing and enjoyable lunch on a holiday.

When it comes to Kichijoji, it is a fierce battleground for curry restaurants, with many unique and authentic places, but Mamekura is the nostalgic shop that I frequented the most during my student days. The store is located along a street between Nakamichi-dori and Showa-dori. It is a 6-minute walk from the station, but you can quickly arrive by strolling through the shopping street. There was a line forming before opening, but even after opening, there seemed to be some seats available for a while. I ordered the Special. It comes with vegetables, four types of beans, and a boiled egg as toppings, and you can choose the type of meat. I ordered chicken. As I ate the spicy curry, it gradually became pleasantly spicy. The chicken was tender and well-flavored. The beans were a nice accent. It is a masterpiece that is homely yet difficult to replicate at home. I enjoyed the taste that I had not had in a long time. Thank you for the meal.

Spicy spices that didn't come out without ordering are now on the table. So this is how it works. In short, it's Garam Masala. There are two types, one spicy and one with a good aroma. It would be nice if there was an option to order like triple the beans. When you order the special beef with egg topping, they always ask if it's okay even though it's already included. This exchange happens every time.

Here, there is only one choice: the Special Curry! You can choose the base curry from beef, chicken, or pork. It's a curry that makes you happy because you can eat all the vegetables, eggs, beans, and meat. The restaurant is cute and easy to enter even for solo diners.
