Well, tonight, where should we go? I've been searching for a restaurant all night, but nothing seems to click. Sometimes I get stuck like this when looking for a place to eat. Usually, I end up making a mistake in choosing a restaurant, but tonight, I'm going all out! First, I chose a restaurant that offers a maximum of 1,200 yen cashback through the Hot Pepper winter point return festival. Despite the risk (usually a bad idea), I decided to go for a slightly more expensive restaurant. This place offers all-you-can-eat barbecue courses for 9,350 yen or 13,200 yen. For us, the expensive options are not appealing. We prefer quality over quantity when it comes to meat. Drinking is important, though (even though we don't drink much). So, I found a 5,000 yen course that is currently 500 yen off until the 8th, thanks to the winter point return festival. This course is a limited-time offer available from Monday to Thursday and includes a 2-hour "Akane" plan with all-you-can-drink. The course includes 7 items in total. With the 500 yen discount and the 1,200 yen cashback from the festival, the cost will be effectively 2,800 yen. I love doing these budget calculations! So, even though it includes all-you-can-drink, the barbecue is set and doesn't offer a wide variety. What about the quality and quantity of the meat? That's what I'm curious about. If it turns out well, I'll be happy, but if not, it'll be disappointing. That's also part of the excitement. So, we arrived at the restaurant. It's located in a solid building in front of the station. There's even a movie theater inside? We took the elevator to the 5th floor and... Wow, this place is spacious and quite upscale! I'm feeling motivated now. My friends are also noticing the different atmosphere and seem intrigued. Even though it's all-you-can-drink, the food is limited to 7 items, so the portions might be small. If we run out, I'll suggest stopping by Yoshinoya for a beef bowl on the way home. Let's go! My friends ordered draft beer, and I opted for bottled beer. Cheers! We started with appetizers like kimchi, namul, and today's special delicacy. They were served separately for each of us, which was nice. We enjoyed them with our drinks. I had another bottle! Then came the first meat assortment with beef tongue and domestic chicken thigh. The beef tongue was delicious, and the chicken was surprisingly good too. I wouldn't usually order chicken, but it was tasty. We continued with the second meat assortment, which included kalbi, sirloin, and harami. They were all pretty good and satisfying. The sirloin and kalbi were tasty, and the harami was also delicious. It wasn't anything special, but it was good quality meat. Next was... yakiniku? It seemed like they would bring a single piece of fatty meat to grill and dip in egg. They also brought some pork meat. We tried the pork first, and it was tasty. Then we grilled the black wagyu meat, which was very fatty. We dipped it in egg and rice, and it was delicious. One piece was enough, though. It was flavorful with the egg and rice. We finished with cold noodles, which were refreshing and tasty. Overall, the meat quality and quantity were satisfactory, and we enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the restaurant.
