Around 13:15 on 11/25, I went to the restaurant for lunch alone. The dumplings were said to be famous, so I ordered a set of dumplings and rice. It was served in about 5 minutes. Giant dumplings, about the same size as a cell phone, were brought to me. The impact was too much. The dumplings had a great sear and smelled amazing! When I lifted them up to my mouth, the meat juice dripped down. I took a bite, being careful of the heat. The filling was soft and fluffy. The meat juice exploded in my mouth. They were flavorful enough even without any condiments. I also tried them with vinegar and pepper for a change, but I think they are okay without soy sauce. I wished I had a beer. The couple at the next table shared a set of dumplings with an extra bowl of rice and a beer in hand. Smart. I couldn't finish all of them, so I ate 4 and took the rest home. They charged me 5 yen for the bag, but it was better than leaving them behind. By the way, a woman in her 30s sitting nearby finished all of her dumplings. It's better to come with multiple people and share the hot dumplings during lunch here. I will definitely come back again!

The dumplings were too big, lacked depth in flavor, and the filling was like mystery meat with a strange sour taste. The skin was too thick, making it crispy on the outside but too overwhelming when folded, throwing off the balance with the filling. I couldn't even eat the rice (which was extremely dry). I gave up after eating only 5 dumplings, leaving most of the rice behind. Unfortunately, I ended up ordering extra dumplings and char siu fried rice for takeout, but they were disappointing as well. The fried rice had almost no flavor, so I had to season it myself. The dumplings were left untouched and ended up in the freezer. Overall, the food was not tasty, and the quality of other dishes is also questionable. No plans to revisit this place.

I discovered this restaurant directly connected from Ginza-itchome Station while exploring the area with hundreds of shops. It was packed around 12pm on a weekday, with a lively atmosphere. If dining alone, I recommend using AirPods with noise cancellation. I ordered the Gyoza Rice (8 pieces of gyoza) for 1380 yen, which is only available during lunchtime until 3pm. When the dish arrived, I was overwhelmed by the size of the gyoza. It seemed too much for one person, so I asked if I could take the leftovers home. They mentioned a 50 yen fee for a takeout box, which was fine by me. The gyoza was juicy with a refreshing taste, not too strong or with any particular flavor. I started with just vinegar, but later added pepper and soy sauce for more flavor. The gyoza skin was just right, not too thick or thin. The rice was firm, the pickles were not spicy, and the pickled mustard greens had a slightly strong taste. This portion seemed more suitable for sharing between two people.

I visited on a regular night and had to wait for about 10 minutes before entering because there was a little line. The gyoza was very delicious! The food was served quickly, the atmosphere was nice, and the cost performance was great! I will definitely use this restaurant again!

Today's lunch was finally the full course meal I've been wanting! I had highball soba with gyoza and rice. The gyoza was packed with vegetables and had no garlic, so even though they were large, they were surprisingly light and easy to eat. The highball soba had a soy sauce base with slightly curly noodles that were chewy. It was filled with plenty of highball greens, pork, and bamboo shoots, and I highly recommend it. In the end, I always end up ordering the same menu.

I used to love going to a Chinese restaurant that was famous for their large dumplings. I used to go there a lot, and even when they moved to their current location, I would still make the trip to Ginza just to eat there. I recently had the chance to visit again while I was in Ginza for work. I arrived just before 3:30 PM and the restaurant was quite busy. After a short wait, I was seated. I was craving the nostalgic dumplings, so I ordered the Gyoza Rice with extra servings (1280 yen + 300 yen = 1580 yen). It used to be 1070 yen about 20 years ago, so it's interesting to see how prices have changed over time. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. The dumplings were as big as I remembered! Just like before, I made two different sauces with vinegar and spicy soy sauce. They paired perfectly with the dumplings! I dug in right away. Ah, they were delicious and brought back memories! The dumpling skin was chewy, and the filling was generous, giving it a satisfying bite. I finished them in no time! However, since it had been so long since I last visited, I felt like some of the dumplings were a bit overcooked. Also, a few of them seemed like the filling was about to spill out because the skin wasn't sealed properly. But these minor issues didn't bother me much because the delicious taste of the dumplings made up for it. If I have the chance, I would definitely love to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

The well-known veteran of Ginza, "Tenryu," and its signature menu item, the "yaki gyoza," is what I personally consider to be the best gyoza in Japan! The jumbo gyoza, wrapped in a chewy and smooth skin with delicious filling, is amazing! I go there 2-3 times a month. They only serve gyoza and rice here, and that's all you need to eat. It's so filling that you'll be satisfied to the point of being about to burst.

It had been 7 years since I last visited. I went to the Hokkaido Antenna Shop at Yurakucho Transport Building to look for SB Hong Kong Yakisoba, but they didn't have it. I decided to try some gyoza instead after that disappointment! I gave up after eating 5 pieces! Unexpected! I must be getting old! Don't push yourself too hard! On the way back, I bought Ichiran Ramen and Nunutori (frozen chicken wings) from the Fukuoka Prefecture Shop at the transport building and headed home!

After having beer in GINZA, I headed to this popular spot with 100 seats. There was a bit of a line, but we got seated fairly quickly. I looked at the menu and ordered 8 pieces of dumplings and a glass of Shaoxing wine. In no time, the dumplings arrived at our table. They were quite large and seemed to be pre-cooked. Each dumpling was about the size of two regular dumplings and filled with plenty of meat. The taste was decent, but the main attraction was definitely their size. After having beer earlier, I thought I could have some dumplings, but after eating these, I doubted if I could have dinner later. So, I decided to walk to Ueno for now. The evening in the city was starting to cool down, but it was still quite hot. Now, where should I go for a highball?

The fried rice came out in about 5 seconds! It was so fast that I thought they must have prepared it in advance. The taste was a bit lacking, and it felt like the fried rice was more focused on the side dishes. It had been a while since I last visited, but I couldn't remember if the dumplings were like this before. There was no juicy filling, and the meat inside the dumpling skin felt lacking. The atmosphere was still lovely as always!

I arrived around 7pm on a regular day and was seated right away. There were also many solo diners, and it seems they offer takeout as well. The must-try dish is definitely the gyoza! Be careful when ordering as they only offer plates of 8 pieces each. They were large and full of juicy meat. There were many other menu options to choose from, and I ended up ordering the stir-fried water spinach with shrimp, and the BBQ pork fried rice. Everything was delicious, especially the shrimp in the stir-fry was succulent!

Ginza Rice (8 dumplings) ¥1380 Shrimp Mayonnaise ¥1780 Meaty dumplings My thoughts on what I ate. The taste was surprising, like a top-class restaurant. I usually like to enjoy the taste of the ingredients, so I only use vinegar and pepper on my dumplings. Were they not marinated beforehand? It seems like they lack flavor without a lot of soy sauce. Also, the rice was dry and didn't go well with the dumplings. The shrimp mayonnaise was delicious though. I think it's better to recommend the shrimp mayonnaise over the dumplings.

Fried dumplings 1280 yen, Shrimp in chili sauce 1790 yen, Drooling chicken 690 yen. This restaurant is popular for its large dumplings! The dumplings are much bigger than you imagine, so it's better to go with a group rather than alone. The service is fast, and the portions are huge, so it seems like a great place to enjoy with friends while eating and drinking together! I found the skin of the dumplings more delicious than the filling, and the thick skin was chewy and very satisfying to eat!

From Ginza Itchome Station, Yurakucho Station, or Kyobashi Station, you can reach a famous dumpling restaurant. I visited their Skytree branch before, but it didn't seem to suit my taste. Today, I ordered the dumpling rice dish for around 1380 yen. I usually prefer soy sauce only, but it didn't feel right this time. Midway through, I decided to try the vinegar and pepper that I had been curious about. It was refreshing and made the dumplings very easy to eat, and I found myself quickly finishing them. Hmm, so this is the rumored vinegar and pepper! However, the amount of dumplings is still too much. Thank you for the meal.

I had gyoza, shrimp mayo, fried rice, and Chinese rice bowl. All of them were large in size and very delicious, making me very satisfied. Especially the gyoza was ordered and brought to the table within a few minutes. I had seen pictures beforehand, but they were quite large in size with a satisfying taste, not too greasy, and I enjoyed every bite. Great value for money. I would like to try different dishes next time.

I go to this place a few times a month and there are two points that concern me. One is that the way they cook the dumplings seems different on holidays (like Obon or weekends) compared to weekdays. The other is that the dumplings seem slightly smaller on holidays. This time I had the weekday version of the dumplings and a large rice. The way they cook them can be hit or miss depending on the day.

When it comes to jumbo dumplings, I had tried Tenryu before they relocated, but that was before the era of Tabelog. So, I decided to try going in without a reservation. There was only one group waiting, so it seemed like we could get in soon. The turnover seemed to be good with a 90-minute limit. In less than 10 minutes, we were called in. We ordered the ★Grilled Dumplings (8 pieces for 1,280 yen) and they came out right away! They were huge! I made a dipping sauce with soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar while waiting for our drinks. Then the highball arrived, along with the dumplings. I wonder how many centimeters these dumplings are, it would have been handy to have a ruler at times like this. Maybe a phone case with a built-in ruler would be useful. The dumplings came out quickly, freshly grilled and crispy. They must have been grilling a lot at once due to how fast they came out. They were larger than a person's finger, packed full of meat. If you can eat them in one bite, you must have a big mouth or a long depth. They were delicious, but they cooled down quickly, and the flavor became somewhat monotonous as we ate other dishes in between. It's a shame. It would be nice if we could order them in sets of 4, maybe going with about 4 people would be good? We also ordered the ★Stir-Fried Vegetables (1,290 yen), which had shiitake mushrooms and leafy greens, with a crunchy texture and tasty garlic. The ★Insect Chicken (590 yen) also came out quickly. It was healthy and light, with a good balance with the dumplings. It was surprisingly filling for the price. The highball was around 580 yen each, and there were various sours available, which were sour and delicious. I got caught up in eating and only ordered 3 drinks. It was a rare treat to have dumplings, and they were great. Looking around, there were a lot of people eating dishes other than dumplings, such as fried rice and noodles, with substantial portions. We paid in cash, as they did not accept electronic money. The total bill came out to just over 6,000 yen.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Arrived after 6 pm and got in line on the first floor. After about 40 minutes, I was able to enter the restaurant by moving to the front of the line outside. It's truly a popular place. Ordered the famous gyoza, fried rice, shredded pork with green peppers, and shrimp chili. The gyoza was huge, crispy on the outside, with a nicely thick skin that had a perfect balance and was delicious. The other dishes were also of high quality. I definitely want to come back.

- Grilled Gyoza (¥1,230) - 8 pieces - Consistently delicious - Overwhelmingly filling - If eating alone, gyoza and rice will make you 120% full - Char Siu Fried Rice (¥990) - Ordered because there was no black fried rice - Also consistently delicious - Some may find it slightly salty with a strong flavor - Nostalgic Sweet and Sour Pork (¥1,790) - Unclear what "nostalgic" refers to - Contains pineapple, which may divide opinions - Recommended for those who like sweet and sour pork Gyoza, fried rice, and one additional dish is just right. Many customers dine alone, with rice and gyoza being a popular order.

After many years, I visited Tenryu again. The place has turned into a new building without me noticing. I arrived early in the evening, so I was able to get a table without waiting. It seems they have a 90-minute turnover policy due to its popularity. When you come here, you have to order the dumplings. I also ordered the char siu fried rice. The dumplings arrived first. I felt like they were bigger than I remembered, almost like small bananas. They were packed with meat, but the seasoning seemed a bit lacking. This impression hasn't changed even after 10 years. The fried rice had a strong pork aroma, but the quality was not quite there. Also, it's not a good idea to come here alone. Eight giant dumplings are quite challenging. It would be nice if they offered a half portion. Due to its unique giant dumplings, this place seems popular among foreign tourists. Thank you for the meal.

When asked "What is your favorite gyoza?", I would answer without hesitation, "Tenryu". Overflowing with love for Tenryu, I went 45 minutes before opening and no one was in line. I was the first one there! I ordered gyoza and rice, and finished with almond tofu. I really want to eat the shrimp mayo too, but my stomach can't handle it, so I resisted. Every dish here is delicious, but I highly recommend the "Shrimp Mayo" if you order another dish. Now, let's talk about the main attraction, the gyoza. Juicy, flavorful filling and a chewy skin. The crispy sear is perfect. I start with just vinegar, add a little soy sauce halfway through, and finish with mustard. I reconfirmed that the gyoza here is the best. Thank you for the meal!
