We visited the China Room at the Grand Hyatt Roppongi Hills with three friends to enjoy the dim sum order buffet priced at around 8,100 yen per person, including tax and one drink. The hotel felt like a different world, and we were reluctant to leave the cool breeze inside. We had sparkling wine as there was no beer available, and we enjoyed refills generously. The course started with appetizers, followed by steamed chicken with sesame sauce, steamed clams, green bamboo shoots, and watercress soup. Then came the order buffet with items like Shanghai-style soup dumplings, shrimp and chive dumplings, dried scallops with fried shallots rice crepe, totaling 16 dishes. We savored every bite and ended the meal with tapioca and coconut milk. Each dish was delicious, and for that day, we forgot about our weight concerns. My husband also expressed interest in visiting, so we plan to return soon.

At this restaurant, I always order the Collagen Stewed Soba Set for 3400 yen. It includes appetizers of three types of drool-inducing chicken dim sum, the collagen stewed soba, and almond tofu for dessert. The drool-inducing chicken is served on a bed of tender eggplant that is so delicious I want to order it separately. The dim sum selection always varies slightly, so it never gets boring, and I'm always happy to see the soup dumplings included. The stewed soba is made with duck broth, rich in flavor without any unpleasant smell, and I usually request it to be on the stronger side. I enjoy it with XO sauce and chili bean paste for flavor variation. The almond tofu has a subtly sweet taste similar to wasanbon sugar, with an accent of kyoho grape sauce. It's something I crave periodically. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On the first day of the Obon holiday, instead of getting stuck in traffic on a long trip, I decided to enjoy a delicious meal in the city. Although it is a classic Chinese restaurant, the menu has been given some interesting twists. Compared to traditional hotel Chinese cuisine, I found this place more intriguing. The atmosphere was great, and the service was impeccable as expected from a hotel restaurant. The Sichuan mapo tofu had a simple seasoning but each ingredient was carefully selected, making it extremely delicious. It had a refreshing taste within the spiciness, and the tofu was particularly tasty. My wife found it a bit too rich, but for me, it was just right as I've been sweating a lot outside recently. The chilled knife-cut noodles topped with drooling chicken was a unique dish. The cold noodles were interesting, and the vegetables added a nice touch, while the chicken was tender. It made me want to try regular knife-cut noodles next time. The spring rolls were a bit round when they arrived, which surprised me, but the crispy skin and hot filling inside were delicious. They were seasoned perfectly, making it enjoyable as it is. The truffle-scented xiao long bao lived up to its name, with a rich truffle aroma that enhanced the flavor of the dumplings, providing a delightful experience. The China Room drink was well-crafted and seemed like something you would want to enjoy at the bar. However, it was a bit strong, making it a bit challenging to pair with the food... Delicious! I personally thought this would be perfect for a drink at the bar after the meal.

Most people who come for lunch seem to order this collagen simmered soba, as it is very popular. The soup is absolutely delicious! The noodles are champon noodles and they are served in a clay pot, so they stay hot for a long time. The fat in the soup is amazing, but it is said to be duck fat so it won't make you gain weight. In fact, I have never gained weight or felt bloated from eating it. It's also great with XO sauce for a different flavor. Enjoy your meal!

I have always wanted to visit this Chinese restaurant at the Grand Hyatt, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is gorgeous and elevates your mood as soon as you step inside. The food was consistently delicious, with a variety of courses to choose from. We opted for the dim sum order buffet, which was enjoyable as we could try a wide selection of dishes. While the food was well-prepared and the atmosphere was top-notch, the overall cost may not be the best value for lunch, even after considering the hotel prices. I love the collagen simmered soba here, so I even go to eat it in the summer. The collagen simmered soba lunch set includes Sichuan-style drool chicken (with eggplant at the bottom), which was incredibly flavorful and delicious. It also comes with three dim sum dishes and the main soba. For dessert, there is almond tofu. I requested the chicken simmered soba to be on the richer side. The soup that comes in a hot pot is irresistibly delicious. I like to sprinkle plenty of pepper on it. I also enjoy using doubanjiang and XO sauce for flavor variation. The noodles are champon noodles. Actually, I always think that this could also be good with rice, maybe even better with curly egg noodles... Anyway, the staff turnover is quite high, so I see unfamiliar staff members sometimes. Their service is lacking a bit, as they don't seem to notice when the water or tea needs refilling without being prompted. But I guess it's understandable since it's a good hotel, and this level of service should be expected. The cost performance is not great because it's a hotel, but I'm satisfied because the food was delicious.

A friend and their family visited for lunch with their 0-year-old child. We reserved a private room because of the infant. The lunch was relatively cheap at ¥7,700 for the private room and had a nice, upscale atmosphere, making it a great choice. The lunch was ordered buffet style. On weekends it costs ¥8,800 and on weekdays it costs ¥6,600. For appetizers, we had steamed chicken, and for soup, we had steamed clam and green papaya soup. Then we had Peking duck as a main dish, followed by an order buffet of dim sum (29 items on weekends, 24 items on weekdays). The quality of each dish was very high, as expected from a hotel buffet, and the speed of service was very quick, keeping us entertained. We had an enjoyable meal thanks to the hospitality of the staff. Thank you very much. We will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I had the all-you-can-eat dim sum course. I visited on a weekend, so there were special weekend-only menu items which made the menu quite extensive. The appetizers like Peking duck, soup, and saliva chicken were delicious. The saliva chicken was so good that I was inspired to make it myself when I got home. Aside from dim sum, they also brought out one of each other menu item, so you can eat a lot. The staff were polite and attentive, but I was a bit rushed at the end when they told me the last order was 30 minutes before closing, but then they came 40 minutes early to ask for my order. Despite that, I was overall very satisfied and will definitely visit again.

I haven't been to Roppongi Hills in a while, so I decided to have lunch at Grand Hyatt. The atmosphere is still a bit intimidating, but once you enter, the receptionist guides you kindly. The weekday lunch set is the only option as other items are only available a la carte! After a while, the first course starts! - Bonito with black bean sauce Looks delicious from the first dish! The black bean sauce goes well with it! It's refreshing and tasty. It feels unusual to have sashimi in Chinese cuisine. - Dim sum chef's recommended Cantonese dim sum trio The dim sum trio includes pork and olive steamed buns on the left side. The xiaolongbao is delicious! Full of juicy meat. It was a discovery that pork and olive steamed buns could have such a flavor. - Clam and chive fried rice For the main dish, clam and chive fried rice. This is incredibly delicious. The crispy fried rice has a high-end Chinese cuisine feel, and the combination of clams and chives is great! Overall, the gentle seasoning makes neither the chives nor the clams overpowering, but the subtle fragrance is exquisite. The fried rice apparently changes monthly or seasonally, so it can only be enjoyed during this season. It was great to encounter it! - Almond jelly Thank you for the meal! Located a 3-minute walk from Roppongi 1C exit, "China Room" is a Chinese restaurant inside the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. It's a great spot to visit after shopping or watching a movie at Roppongi Hills. The stylish interior, based on red and black tones, truly reflects the 5-star hotel status. The red lighting creates an exotic atmosphere that is unique. Everything from the food to the hospitality and ambiance is perfect. The Peking Duck was a first for me, and the crispy skin and texture of the ingredients wrapped together were amazing. The truffle steamed dumplings, crab and swallow's nest soup, sirloin steak, salt-fried abalone, truffle fried rice, and more, all featured luxurious ingredients.

I have been in Hills for 20 years, and my favorite lunch spots are China Room and Shunbo. I like China Room because the interior and service are good, and the taste is consistent. I always order the collagen-rich chicken stewed noodles, but the dim sum is also excellent. The most popular dish is the foie gras dumplings. The fragrance of foie gras spreading in your mouth makes you feel happy. My favorite dim sum in Hong Kong is at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's Man Wah, but the meticulous preparation at this restaurant is comparable to that renowned establishment.

I made a reservation at the China Room at the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi. The reviews seemed good so I had high expectations. The meal started with bonito dishes, Peking duck, and soup, followed by all-you-can-eat options from the menu. The flavors of the first three dishes were okay, and the all-you-can-eat options didn't impress me much. Despite the time limit for the all-you-can-eat, the dishes we ordered took a long time to arrive, almost to the point of being like a last order. For the price we paid, the variety of the menu, the speed of service, and the flavors were all a bit underwhelming. I won't be visiting again. It was disappointing.

I usually go to Koyaki-zaka or Oak Door for teppanyaki, but I wanted to change the atmosphere a bit for Mother's Day, so I chose this restaurant. In addition to the adult course, there was also a separate menu for children, which made the kids very happy. The service from the staff was also excellent. I used it for a weekend lunch. It was all-you-can-eat dim sum. Everything was ordered individually in bite-sized portions, so I could enjoy various flavors. When I entered with a baby stroller, it seemed like they had a separate space for families with children, as everyone around me had kids. So, I could enjoy without worrying about others. They also provided hot water for milk. However, the red lighting made it hard for the children to calm down.

The bird collagen simmered soba is served hot and with a rich flavor. The duck broth collagen soba is so delicious that you can drink up all the soup. Adding doubanjiang and black pepper makes it even better, and somehow, even after finishing the meal, your stomach doesn't feel heavy. The lunch set includes appetizers, dim sum, three kinds of collagen simmered soba, and dessert. Today's dessert was an apple almond jelly, which was not too almond-flavored and had a milky taste. The finely chopped apple compote served with it was a perfect match. The jasmine tea was also delicious, and overall, I am satisfied. I wonder if it will make my skin plump and smooth.

It's been a while since I had lunch at the Grand Hyatt. During my 20 years in Roppongi Hills, the place where I had lunch the most was ChinaRoom. I used to go there every week and enjoy their collagen-rich chicken soba. When it comes to chicken soba, there is a well-established famous shop near the Roppongi intersection, but I personally prefer the chicken soba at ChinaRoom because the richness of the soup is more pronounced and it goes well with the thin noodles, making it my favorite. The contrast between the rich collagen and the crispiness of the vegetables in the soup is excellent, making it a top-notch dish that lives up to its reputation as a beauty hot pot! And when you eat the almond jelly with lemon on top, it refreshes your mouth after enjoying the collagen-rich chicken soba, which is delightful.
