I want to eat dumplings. A jumbo dumpling. It's around 12 o'clock. There was a small line at the storefront. I should make it in time for the meeting in the afternoon, so I join the line at the back. At the front of the line, there are 3 people, and a single customer is seated skipping that group. I think about going to lunch with a colleague, but I feel like being alone at a popular restaurant makes things easier. I am seated on the second floor at a round table with an acrylic divider for shared seating. In the past, I used to say something when sharing a table, but with the acrylic divider, I just sit quietly. Looking at what the person next to me is eating, it seems like noodles are popular. However, I came to eat dumplings. I check the menu thoroughly, but there is only "fried dumplings" listed, and I wonder if there is no dumpling set, but on the lunch menu page, I see that fried dumplings are part of a set. I order the dumpling set with 4 large dumplings, soup, rice, pickled vegetables, and almond jelly for dessert. The large dumplings have a chewy texture and just the right thickness. The filling and dough volume are perfect. They are juicy but without splattering meat juices, and the flavors seep into the rice. The soup is thick with egg whites floating on top. I could see a little bit of red and white, maybe it's flavored with crab. The almond jelly has a clear surface and a texture like a European pear. It breaks cleanly, with a subtle sweetness that is perfect for cooling down after eating dumplings.

I used this restaurant for a company drinking party. I had imagined a typical Chinese restaurant in town, but it had more of a bar-like atmosphere. However, the staff were like those from a local Chinese restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes such as dumplings, sweet and sour pork, and oil-sautéed chicken, and they were all delicious. Personally, I recommend the Shanghai fried noodles and sweet and sour pork!

I visited the restaurant for the first time in a while, and I realized it was during the early days of the pandemic. It had been 3 and a half years since I last visited the old location before it moved. After that, there were some memories I didn't want to recall, and with the pandemic and the relocation of the restaurant, I just couldn't find the opportunity to go back. It's been quite a neglect. The old location was a place I used occasionally since returning to Tokyo. When I visited again, I saw a familiar female staff member who used to work as a floor staff. It was a Saturday around 11:30 am. I was seated on the second floor at a round table. The interior design seemed to retain some elements from the previous location, but the restaurant had a more casual vibe overall. I decided to try the "Pai Komen" today, which I hadn't noticed on my previous visit. It came with a side of rice sprinkled with seasoning, and it featured beef cooked with spices and topped with pickled mustard greens. It's a hidden gem of this restaurant, in my opinion. The fried pork took a bit longer to prepare, and other customers who arrived later got their orders first, but when it arrived, it was worth the wait. The pork was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, complementing the light and flavorful ramen broth. The spare rib topping was also well-cooked and added a nice touch. The lunch special was priced at 1,150 yen, and although it's a bit far from my workplace, I would definitely come back again. It felt good to visit after a long time and see that things were slowly getting back to normal after the pandemic. Despite some losses, there were also many gains. Looking forward to the future.

Visited TaiKouRou Tokyo, formerly known as TaiKouRou, after its relocation and renovation in the redevelopment of Yaesu. The atmosphere of the restaurant has changed to a café-like setting, with a large dumpling sculpture welcoming guests at the entrance. Despite the initial confusion, I ordered the dumpling set meal and was impressed by the unchanged, hearty dumplings. The dumplings were large, measuring 12cm in length, with a chewy skin and generous filling. The seasoning of the filling was mild, making it surprisingly easy to eat despite the size. I recommend adding some spiciness with the original C-Hachi sauce for a flavor variation. #TokyoDumplingChronicle #DumplingsAreASatisfyingMeal #TokyoStation #JumboDumplings #Dumplings #DumplingClub

I like visiting dumpling shops. I had been to the old location before, but this was my first visit to the new one. The overall feel of the shop is clean and has an Asian touch to it. There were more female customers than before, with nearby office ladies coming in for lunch. Luckily, there was no line, but I was a bit taken aback when they suddenly suggested sharing a table with someone. When I asked for a separate table, they accommodated me with a two-person table. The shop had acrylic dividers on the four-person tables for COVID-19 precautions, but I wish they had been more considerate with seating arrangements. I ordered dumplings (780 yen) and rice (150 yen) (lunchtime special price). If you get the set, it comes with almond jelly, soup, and pickled vegetables for 1000 yen. It was just past 1 pm, and it took about 15 minutes for the dumplings to arrive. They are quite big, so it makes sense they take a while to cook. The size of the dumplings didn't seem as jumbo as advertised, but the taste remained the same as before, which was reassuring. The skin is thick, the filling is mainly minced meat with a hint of cabbage texture, and the flavor of the meat is prominent. They are grilled to a nice crisp. Be careful, as there is a lot of juice inside, and it might splash when you bite into it. I found four dumplings to be enough for me, as my appetite has decreased lately. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The old shop had a more continental Chinese vibe, whereas the new location feels more like a clean-cut Chinese eatery. Personally, I preferred the old shop, but maybe I've just grown out of the target customer base.

Visited the popular restaurant, Tai Kousei Sakura, after its relocation in Yaesu for the first time. Ordered the jumbo pan-fried dumplings and boiled dumplings, along with a bottle of Akahoshi beer. The pan-fried dumplings were huge and had a nice chewy texture with a crispy outside, very delicious especially with vinegar and pepper. However, I personally prefer the boiled dumplings. Also ordered additional dishes like chives and liver, cold chicken, mapo tofu, fluffy egg and tomato stir-fry, and everything was delicious. Had a great time chatting with my colleagues after a long time, it was a lot of fun.

I used it for lunch on Saturday. I was seated without waiting because it was just after opening. This time, I compared the grilled dumplings and boiled dumplings. The specialty grilled dumplings at this restaurant were huge. The filling inside was slightly seasoned, and they were grilled with plenty of oil. Many people were seen ordering fried rice and dumplings, but having fried rice along with 4 jumbo dumplings seemed a bit overwhelming. It might be better to share one plate of dumplings between two people along with the fried rice. Next, the boiled dumplings arrived. The skin was chewy, with plenty of chives in the filling, and I really liked it. I preferred the boiled dumplings at this restaurant. I ate both the grilled dumplings and boiled dumplings alone and was quite full. I will come back again.

At Tokyo Station or Nihonbashi Station. Today's order: 4 pieces of pan-fried dumplings for 1100 yen. There were other tempting menu items, but I chose dumplings today. The restaurant has two floors and is quite spacious. The lady who took our order and served us was very efficient. Nonetheless,

I went to the restaurant during lunchtime, and there were about 5 groups ahead of me. However, the turnover was fast, and I was seated in about 10 minutes. I had crab fried rice and dumplings. The dumplings were quite large, filled with meat and juicy, making them delicious.

On Saturday for lunch, my friend and I arrived a little after the opening at 11:30 and were seated at a 4-person table on the second floor. Knowing the quality of the dumplings and spring rolls, this time we decided to challenge the Seafood Stir-Fry with Three Salts priced at 3410 yen. Of course, we also ordered the dumplings, spring rolls, and today's craft beer (Tokyo IPA) for 1100 yen, as well as my friend's Sansho liquor for 690 yen. I found out that when paying cash for lunch, the dumplings and spring rolls are discounted, which was a nice surprise! The dumplings went from 1290 to 1170 yen and the spring rolls from 946 to 860 yen. We ordered an extra serving of dumplings and also had two lemon sours for 620 yen each. The seafood stir-fry we tried this time was delicious. However, when compared to the outstanding performance of the dumplings and spring rolls, it may seem a bit lacking. It seems like the top two items are just too strong. Thank you for the meal!

Established in 1949, the long-standing Chinese restaurant lunch spot, Taikoro, is known for its "Jumbo Fried Dumplings" and "Tan Tan Men," but my personal recommendation is the "Bean Sprout Ramen (850 yen)." The noodles are medium-thin with a slight wave, served in a light soy-based soup with a generous topping of hot bean sprouts, pork, and onions. It has a nostalgic taste that makes you want to eat it again as soon as you finish. It might not be a bad idea to overcome the intense heat with a hot dish like this!

I love dumplings, so I came here on Saturday after hearing that they are large. The store opens at 11:30, and there was already one group waiting in line, but it seemed like we could get in without waiting too long. By 12 o'clock, more customers started to come in. The restaurant is clean and has a second floor. The lunch menu has about 5 options, with free rice refills, soup, pickled vegetables, and almond jelly included. I ordered the dumpling lunch set for myself and shared the Shanghai fried noodles with someone else. If you can't finish your meal, you can take it home. The dumplings were slightly smaller than the ones at Tenryu, but they were juicy, maybe because there was a lot of meat in them. The fried noodles and the flavors were light, but still delicious. I prefer stronger flavors, so that's just my personal preference. There were many other menu options, so I would like to come back with a larger group. The restaurant apparently started in the 1940s as a city Chinese restaurant. It's located between Daimaru and Maruzen, very convenient as it's right by the station. You can get a discount if you pay with PayPay or cash, but if you use a card, there will be an additional 10% charge.

This restaurant is famous for its large dumplings, but I decided to try the spicy noodles recommended at the beginning of the menu book. Appearance-wise, it looks pretty ordinary with cucumber and cherry tomatoes floating on top, resembling a refreshing cold ramen. In reality, it is quite spicy. The green floating pieces that look like seaweed are actually green chili peppers. As someone who enjoys red chili peppers and chili oil, the spiciness of the green ones was a bit different from my preference. I was happy to find lots of vegetables, shrimp, and squid in the dish. Next time, I want to try the sesame noodles with chili oil to enjoy the red spiciness.

- Visiting time: Around 12:30 on weekdays. It's often hard to get in right at 12:00 lately. It's easier to get in around 12:30. - Menu: Cold Spicy Ramen (limited to summer)! Cold Spicy Ramen! Enjoy the spiciness of green chili peppers in a cold Chinese-style ramen! It's cold but extremely spicy, and addictive. The ingredients are the same as the hot Spicy Ramen, providing a satisfying meal. Caution!!! It's extremely spicy! This is a refreshing and super spicy ramen based on green chili peppers! It gets even spicier if you drink water, so eat it all at once. The ingredients include cucumber, tomato, squid, bamboo shoots, Chinese cabbage, Napa cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, shrimp, and pork.

After the rainy season, summer is here! Let's have lunch somewhere. If you walk out of Tokyo Station Yaesu exit, you'll find a nice Chinese restaurant nearby. It's too hot to walk a lot, so this place is convenient. It's a Saturday, so it's not crowded with office workers. This place is famous for its dumplings. We first tried them at the Jiyugaoka branch and now we're at the main branch in Tokyo. The Chinese fried rice has big shrimp in it. My friend ordered the "Gomoku Soba" with four large dumplings. Two dumplings are enough for one person. The food is delicious and filling. The dumplings are not the only thing that's hearty here. There's also a branch near Yaesu. It would be nice to have a Chinese restaurant like this nearby.

I visited during lunchtime. Despite having a considerable number of seats, it was very busy. I ordered gyoza and a set meal. In conclusion, the gyoza was outstandingly delicious. I should have ordered the gyoza set meal...! It was filled with plenty of juicy meat and was delicious.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I arrived right at the opening to avoid the crowds. I was seated at a small table for two at the end of the first floor. The interior of the restaurant had a woody feel, making it welcoming for women as well. I ordered the lunch set with 4 dumplings that I had in mind. I was curious about the furikake seasoning, but they said it was not available for takeout, so I added it to my order. The rice portion was a bit small. First, I was served pickled vegetables and almond jelly. Then, I waited about 15 minutes for the dumplings to arrive. Maybe I arrived too early. More and more customers started coming in during that time. There were a few solo female diners, but mostly male office workers. Finally, the dumplings, rice, and soup arrived. The dumplings were really big with a nice crispy sear. I enjoyed them with the vinegar, soy sauce, and spicy miso on the table. They were a bit challenging to eat with chopsticks, but once I got the hang of it, the meat juices and filling were delicious. However, they were quite difficult to eat elegantly, especially the first one (laughs). The rice bowl was small, making it hard to place the dumplings on top without the filling falling off. The dumpling plate was quite oily, so I didn't want to put them back. I managed to finish eating them while reducing the rice little by little, figuring out the technique. I didn't feel like I fully enjoyed them. Eating such big dumplings elegantly is challenging, so it's better to eat them heartily! By 11:30, the seats were filling up, so I left the restaurant quickly. Personally, I don't think I would definitely come back. I prefer to enjoy big dumplings at home without worrying about others. I'll look for a smaller, delicious dumpling shop. The prices were reasonable, so I recommend it for men!

Beef belly simmered rice and gyoza. Yaesu. Lunch before returning to Sapporo. Was rejected last time, but today is a weekday and they are open. After some hesitation, my wife ordered chilled noodles. We shared 4 gyoza. The beef belly was tender and delicious. The chilled noodles were luxurious and tasty. The gyoza were large, hot, and delicious. Thank you for the meal. As long as you pay attention to the seating, it's a good restaurant.

The large dumplings are a specialty, but other dishes are also delicious. The prices are reasonable. Note: Reviews are written honestly to help others make accurate judgments. Additional information such as Instagrammable spots and the atmosphere of the restaurant will be included, but the ratings are mainly based on whether the food is delicious, whether it is worth the price.

I visited a second restaurant with my friend. The place had changed its style since the last time I had lunch there, and now it seemed more welcoming to younger people. The dumplings were still delicious, and I thought I would like to visit this place again next time. I was surprised to find Shaoxing wine highballs available! It made sense in a way, and I strangely felt satisfied.
